We specifically booked a luxury SUV to ensure enough space for our luggage. When we arrived right as the location opened, we were greeted by a customer service representative named Ana, who had actually just left us a message as we were walking in. Unfortunately, she informed us that the vehicle we reserved online was not available. While this clearly wasn't Ana's fault and appeared to be an issue with the company's online booking system, we were understandably stressed since our departure time was approaching and we needed a solution quickly. Ana immediately stepped in to help. She asked if a minivan would work for us and said she would do everything she could to find one, though she couldn't guarantee availability. We left the location to figure out a backup plan, and about 20 minutes later Ana called to let us know she had secured a minivan for us. She truly saved the day--and honestly saved the company from what would have been a very poor review due to the misleading online booking experience. Ana was proactive, kind, and solution-oriented, and she is absolutely an asset to this business. We are very grateful for her help.

Enterprise is no different. Clearly, the two employees were struggling to keep up on a weekday morning. Even with the higher demand renting cars. With the many traveling fans for the spring baseball training and warm weather seeking winter revelers. So, I called and I had asked for the ride where Enterprise (advertises) says, "We'll pick you up!" I was told 10:30 am would be ok. My requested hotel pick up time (10 mins. drive away). So, no driver employee shows up as said. I called again and now it's a one hour pick-up time window. Rental reservation is for 11 or 11:30 am. A suggestion was made from an Enterprise employee in taking Uber and that they'd pay or reimburse me for it. After my many requests, they never did that. Disappointing. All 'feel good' talk spoken here, instead of real action. They're nice, but uh... I mean come on guys, really?! Secondly, once awaiting in front of three other rental pick-ups, I still truly waited 45 mins to 1 hr. to receive what was a dirty, poorly maintained '24 Toyota RAV4 with ripped flooring - driver's side. Apparently, they were low on vehicles and this location was caught unprepared? On the positive side, this was given as a (free) "upgrade" from the FULL size reserved. Hopefully, next year will be better when I return? They've tryed but it's not enough. Not for these prices.

They were very transparent about not having many cars on the lot, but still worked hard to help me out. The first car they got for me had a nail in the tire, so they quickly took care of it. Even though they were close to closing, they were kind, apologetic, and worked fast to get me into a different vehicle. They even helped me install my car seat and made sure everything was set before I left. After driving that vehicle for a few days, I realized it wasn't the right fit for me. I returned to the branch, and they switched me to a new car without any hassle. A few days later, the battery on that vehicle started acting up. Once again, they handled it immediately and got me into another car--this time, one that I really loved. When I went on vacation, I returned the vehicle and let them know I'd be back later that week since my own car was still in the shop. Throughout this entire process, the customer service has been excellent. A special shoutout to CJ, who has always been incredibly helpful, patient, and understanding. He--and the entire team--really go out of their way to assist customers and make sure everything runs smoothly. Despite a few bumps along the road, the level of service and care from the staff turned a frustrating situation into a positive one. Thank you, Enterprise!

    I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my experience. This was honestly one of the most…read moreunprofessional and stressful rental situations I've ever dealt with. I arrived expecting a smooth pickup, only to find the car left outside with no key. No instructions, no proper handoff--just a car sitting there that I couldn't even use. It completely disrupted my plans and ruined the start of my trip. What made things worse was the so-called "customer support." Calling in did absolutely nothing. I was passed around, given unclear answers, and it felt like no one actually knew what they were doing or saying. Instead of resolving the issue, I was told to go all the way to the airport to switch cars--something that should have never been my responsibility in the first place. I ended up wasting hours of my time both on the phone and in person, going back and forth in 100-degree weather, trying to fix a mistake that wasn't mine. The lack of accountability and organization is unbelievable. The phone service is completely unreliable, and the in-person experience wasn't any better. This situation could have been avoided with basic communication and professionalism, but instead it turned into a stressful, time-wasting ordeal. I expected much better service, especially from a company of this size. This experience has completely changed my perception, and I would not recommend dealing with this level of disorganization and poor customer care.

The check-in process took about 10 minutes. Also, even though I booked a Compact car, they gave me an Economy car, as this was the only one available, at no extra charge. The only con was that the car I drove smelled like smoke. When I dropped the car off the next day, the check-out time took less than 5 minutes. It was super easy and convenient. The staff here are friendly and helpful. They took the time to answer any questions I had and I didn't feel rushed. Additionally, when I was arranging a ride to the place where my car was being serviced, they heard me on the phone and immediately offered to give me a ride - this saved me time and money!

To try and avoid the usual issues, I even had an executive customer service representative (Laura S.) reach out to this locations manager two weeks prior to my rental to ensure everything was set. None of it mattered. I still arrived and was given a Ford Expedition instead. This has now happened multiple times with different hertz locations, so clearly reservations -- even with corporate involvement -- don't mean much at this location and others. The condition of the vehicle made it worse. It was dirty, worn, three different brand of tires and had over 60,000 miles on it -- not even close to what you expect when paying for that class of vehicle. Here's the part that really pushed it over the edge: I returned the vehicle to the airport location, and somehow I was charged a cleaning fee. That's right -- I was given a dirty vehicle and then charged as if I returned it that way. As an employee stated it's just big and dirt baked on by the Arizona sun. On top of that, trying to contact the location was a joke. Calls were being unanswered or immediately hung up. Between the wrong vehicle, poor condition, lack of accountability, and being hit with an unjustified cleaning fee, I'm done. I've already canceled multiple future reservations in 5 different cities and will be taking my business elsewhere. If you actually expect to receive the vehicle you reserved -- or even a clean one -- I would strongly suggest looking at other rental companies.
