MB Motors was able to untangle several misdiagnosed problems from a prior mechanic successfully. They had the necessary parts my other mechanic couldn't get his hands on. Most of the problems stemmed from a poorly programmed onboard computer that they were able to quickly resolve. I took a car in for a pre-purchase inspection and was glad to know i have a reasonable Mercedes service center 20 blocks from my house. They did a very good job at scoping out the whole car to make sure I wasn't buying something I may soon regret. They also do the type A and type B services here at a cheaper than dealer rate as well. I took in my 1983 300SD (which is a car not many mechanics would even make an effort to work on, since im assuming it's very unique compared to the cars now adays) awhile back to get a new key tumbler and a few other things fixed. If you have a Mercedes, you need to take it here! Being new in the area, I wasn't sure who to trust. I made the mistake of taking it to the dealer for an oil change and came out with a $300 bill. Seriously? It's oil and a filter. I tried this shop and found the owner worked at the dealership for 20 years before opening his own shop. Wow, nice people, and great service. He fixed what I needed and recommended a few things (the same things Firestore mentioned when I took it there for new tires and brakes, so I knew it wasn't an up sell.) I called around and M B Motors still had the lowest price. M B Motors fixed my car in a timely manner and showed me everything they did. Their hours are early in the day 6:30 - 3:30 so it's convenient to drop off before work, but a little difficult to pick up. Nothing that would effect me taking my car there. Who wants to work on hot cars when it's 110 degrees out! I feel much better now that I have a place to take my Benz, especially being a single female and not knowing much about cars or what to do. read more

I'll tell ya what: You have to go HERE if you have a Mercedes. Honestly, one of the best, most reasonably priced shops I've ever dealt with. You go inside and you will meet customers that have been going there literally for years and years. I've never had a bad experience- just today they got the ignition switch fixed after I had to tow it in LAST NIGHT- yes, it involved undoing the steering column and using all kinds of nasty cutting tools to remove teh old switch (tumblers failed) but they had it FIXED in less than 1/2 the day. WOW. Fast, accurate and best of all real good pricing.... PS- BUD is president of the local MBCA (benz club) so yes, he is a bit of a fanatic about these cars. read more

Went to this place because of yelp reviews. Don't buy into it. Got my car back worse than when left it. Cost me an additional $362 to get the car back to its state that I left it with them. Took my CLK430 for an oil change and deal with windshield wiper issue. Asked them to look at passenger seat motor and only passenger seat. Told Bud directly in person not to touch the drivers side seat; that motor for living seat is on its last leg; told Jamie over the phone not to touch drivers side seat. Not only did they touch it, they moved the driver's seat to the closet possible setting towards the wheel so that it can't be safely driven. The seat is connected to the car by 4 bolts at each corner of the seat. Unfortunately, I couldn't try to replace the part myself because the seat was so close that it obstructed access to the two front bolts of the car. According to some YouTubes I watched, one can connect the dead seat motor to a 12V and move the seat with that juice to gain access to obstructed bolts. I don't have a 12V or the ambition/skill to do that myself. I was so frustrated I drove off furious after they charged me $250+ for dealing with the windshield wiper and oil change. Instead of just negatively reviewing them and taking it to the dealer to deal with the seat, I thought I should give them the opportunity to redeem themselves with the seat and returned the next day. I asked Bud to move the seat to its original position, and Bud said that he would try. I was expecting to give them a favorable review once fixed and move on with my life. That was my second mistake. After one day of looking at car, they sent a text saying that "[t]he car is ready. Bud said that he tried everything he could to get the seat motor to come alive and he couldn't. We had to replace the motor." I thought that was very nice of them to replace the $97-$117 motor (per various online stores for MB part) for free and waive the service and make things right. I was initially prepared to pay for the part but not the service time, and was even going to offer to pay for the part if they were waiving it...I figured they were also only going to charge for their cost of the part and not upcharge for the part. I was wrong on both assumptions. They charged me $177 for the $97 motor and an additional $177.50 for the SERVICE FEE to fix the problem that they created for a total of $362. They didn't provide a quote for the cost and just did it. I'm tremendously disappointed with their service. I am taking the time to write this review and discourage other people from dropping their car off, telling them not to mess with a touchy issue with their car, have them ignore it, create a problem that didn't exist, and charge you hundreds of dollars to fix a problem that they created. read more
