I looked over to the cashiers and now there was a line behind both of them. I feel more like a boomer every day, because I just left the tire shine on the counter and left. If you're going to direct me to the self checkout and you still have to approve the sale as if you checked me out, I see no point to having it. I get it, people steal, and one way they do it is at the self checkouts. But if you're going to have one, figure it out. Fast food has kiosks, grocery stores and Walmart have self checkout. If you're not going to hire more employees (which I don't think was the problem here) then figure it out.
