Continues to be my least favorite Discount Tire. Pulled up for an air check and see this sign to scan. So, I do, which has you fill out information then gives you a QR code. So I sit and wait only to be told its closed due to weather. Just turn the signs around or something. Don't make people fill out forms and wait when you've closed it. Discount Tires in TX are not like this one in Mesa. Would rather sell me tires than fix a perfectly fixable nail in the tread. Petty denial regarding tire mileage warranty. Do not go here. It's ALWAYS something. The first time they replaced my tires but took my custom valve caps. Had no idea until I got another flat and seen it a month later. I told the staff about it, to make sure it doesn't happen again with the rear ones. They didn't offer anything at all. Not even an apology. Whatever. No I leave my car there and I'm anticipating a call. They said we will contact you when completed. Instead a text is sent that's auto filtered to unknown senders. Whatever maybe that's on me but what happened to making a phone call, "Hey, just a heads up your car is still here and we are closing within the hour." Nothing... Just provide customer service. Everyone there hates working there. Whoever I spoke to one the phone when I called was very nice and polite, even with me being an upset consumer. That's the only reason to a star at all. read more

I dropped $500 on a set of new tires today, all went really fast and well right up until I was getting ready to leave. They called me up and gave me my receipt, the Latino gentleman with shaved sides and a sonic the hedgehog top said my car was ready. I asked if they'd remembered to put all my red custom tire caps back on, and if they'd FOUND the one they forgot to put back 2 weeks prior when I got my pressure adjusted. He squints his eyes at me like he's mad, then rolls his eyes and says in a cunty tone "nooo sirrrr, we don't keep caps for 2 weeks", then turns his back and stays walking off. I apologized for asking such a stupid question and wasting his time, and I left. I wasn't mad that they lost my cap, I just wanted to know if perhaps someone saw a shiny red metal cap with my car logo emblazoned on it. It stands out, seemed like a perfectly valid question to me. it wasn't a huge deal, I literally already ordered replacements, no need to get all weird about it. I stopped by discount tire around 5:55 pm to see if they were able to help me out with a slow leak on my left rear tires that they just recently and I noticed that they had a few other people in the building that they were helping out, but the guys in the building denied service and said that they will not be able to help me out because they are closing soon and I let them know that I have a newborn and a toddler that rides and that I don't feel safe driving around in the vehicle with the tire being low like that and they still refused to help me out with patching the so I asked for a to see if General Manager around and I got no response from even though I seen the General Manager in the building I'm not sure if this was some kind of racial thing because I was the only colored person in the building at the time, but the guys were and helping out everyone but as soon as I came in and for for some stuff that they installed on my I feel like my shut down immediately. They told me that they have a bunch of high school kids working and that they would have to send them home early so they can't have doing any work but here I am still outside at 6:08 PM and everyone is still here working and taking care of customers. Why am I not being helped out everyone else is this is not cool. I will never come back to this place again, and I would recommend these guys to anyone. read more

Discount tire is a company that I will always recommend. They are so fair and give very generous warranties. The help is so pleasant and quick to serve. Even if there's a line out the door, you can safely assume that you will be helped quickly. I typically go to a location on Lindsay and university, however, this will be my new home discount. Logan was so helpful and took the time to explain everything to me and what my best options were to save me money. He took care of checking, diagnosing, and changing all four tires within an hour.. He even got a second opinion from Sebastian to make sure that I was getting the best help. For that, I am truly grateful! They honored the warranty on one of my tires resulting in me only paying for three, which is wonderful this time of year. Thank you, Logan and discount tire! read more

At some point this year, I had tires replaced at this Discount Tire location. While in the shop, I got a phone call that the lug nuts on my work van needed to be replaced. Price and style weren't discussed with me, so I figured they were just installing similar chrome nuts. When I returned to pick the van up, they had installed black nuts, that require a special key socket to remove them. This was never discussed as an option with me, and considering it's a work vehicle that other people may drive, and lose the key socket, was not acceptable. I spoke with the manager to let him know the situation, and he agreed to swap them out. After waiting a few days for the nuts to be delivered, I returned to the shop, and they got me in and out as quickly as they could. I thought that was the end. Lo and behold a few months later, they screwed me. I decided to change the brake rotors and pads yesterday. This is the first work that has been done in an area where the tires need to be removed since having the Discount Tire replacement. One of the lugs on the front passenger tire, did not want to come off. I always remove and replace the lugs manually with a four-way or a breaker bar and properly sized socket. When I finally did get the lug nut off, it pretty clearly had been cross threaded by whoever last installed it. The last place to touch those lugs, was this Discount Tire location. I can only assume some tech was being reckless with an air torque wrench, and just went crazy with it. Long story short, prior to me changing my brakes yesterday, Discount Tire had the last set of hands to touch the lugs on my work van. They cross threaded a nut while rushing to fix a mistake they caused. Now my van has a ruined lug stud that I'll have to bang out and replace. read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. This was my first experience at Discount Tire where the service fell far below expectations. I had an appointment at 4:30 PM, and after being informed that my tire had a nail and needed repair options, I waited for 30 minutes with no assistance. It has always been wonderful that I could get air in my tires at Discount tires. It is a free service and I love it. Today February 13, 2025 was a different day. The man doing the service over filled my tires and did not replace the caps on the passenger side, front and back. I drove back and he said oh they were missing. They absolutely were not missing! I was the person who put air in my tires last. He was very rude trying to make the whole situation somehow my fault. He then put cheap plastic caps on my two tires. My car computer lets me know the current tire pressure in all my tires. He did not care. He put 38,39 in front tires and 37 in the back two tires , they should all be 33. Even after the cars correction the computer let me know this was too much. My husband and I have done business there for years. This was upsetting to be treated in a dismissive way. read more

I came in to get a patch in one tire. I waited over and hour and a half. If you arent buying new tires they will continue to push you behind customers that are buying. Keep in mind all 4 of my tires were bought at discount. Customers were coming in and cars were in the bay within 15 months while I continued to wait. read more

Deceitful and Dishonest business practice. On 3/17/24 my wife took her Jeep Cherokee in because one of the tires had a flat. DOT on all four tires were somewhere in middle 2019. But the person working on the car told my wife that she would have to change all 4 because they were dry, and that it was against their policy to repair the one with the puncture because of that. I told my wife over the phone to just have them put air in the tire and they wouldn't even do that. They offered my wife 4 new tires (Falken 225/55R18 98V M=S) that would run over $1000; so they were trying to sell a top brand despite my wife asking if there was anything cheaper due to finance situation. I told my wife to ask if there were other options and if not to just have them put on the spare tire, but they wouldn't either because they told her that it was more than 10 years old. However, after checking the spare that was a downright lie, as DOT on it says 1415 which falls between April 2nd - 8th. So these guys pressured my wife as it was later in the day and was coming home from a long day at work, and insisted that she has to has all 4 replaced, and the Falken's for that vehicle was the best option, which is total BS. I then ask my wife to get someone on the phone and I spoke to two people and complained a bit, until finally they agreed to replace the one tire with the leak. I made sure to tell the salesperson directly not insure it for the extra $35, and they said they would not, but when I looked at the receipt when she got home they did. At any rate, when my wife finally got home I looked at the tires and they were not dry at all. I then checked the DOT on spare and it was not over 10 years as I mentioned above. My next thought was that after more than 15 years of doing business with Discount Tire, I would never go there again. The very next morning (3/18) I purposely took air out of one of the older tires and go to a different Discount Tire to have them fill it up for me, with my telephone recorder on for I knew for a fact they weren't dry. All they recommended is that I should start thinking of getting new tires due to the thread depth, but nothing about them being dry. Now because he didn't say anything about that, I prompted him to see what he thought about the condition of the rubber and if he thought they were dry as summer is just around the corner I mentioned, and all he said it was just normal wear. I went home and thought about my options, and a couple of hours later I went to Discount Tire in Queen Creek to return the tire that was sold to my wife in Mesa, put on the less than 10 y/o spare, and get our money back so that I could go to Costco to buy a new and cheaper one. However, the assistant manager at the Queen Creek location, Chandler, tried to make things right as he also didn't think my tires were that dried. Chandler provided some options that I could work with and restored my faith as a Discount Tire customer. He was a little surprised that the store in Mesa could not provide cheaper options, especially after my wife had told them about our money situation, but in then end I not only replaced the spare for a cheaper one, but I replaced all 4 tires at a much more reasonable price of $219 including what was refunded ($140) for the more expensive tire we returned. So in essence, those 4 new tires would have cost us $359 without insurance, instead of over $1000. I'm still pissed about this whole ordeal and that both she and I were lied to, but it's all been fixed, but in the future I will avoid the Mesa store on Country Club Road in Mesa. Sorry guys, but there were 4 opportunities where you could had done better. 1. Cheaper tires, 2. Spare tire date, 3. Added some air to the tire when we requested it, 4. The opinion that tire was dry, where other experts didn't think it was. read more

I always buy from Discount tire for all of my cars. This being my first time at this location it felt different. My sedan had left me stranded due to a tire blow out. I called ahead to make sure they had the right tire in stock. Went to grab my pick up truck with my cars tire in the back. Upon arrival it was an hour before closing time. The techs had no cars in any of their bays. I could see them going around to the back of the shop as if nobody wanted to be available to help. I unloaded my tire off my truck. Normally at other locations I see a tech coming to greet me no matter how busy they are, there's always a dude trying to take my tire for service. Not at this location. I purchase my new tire, it gets mounted on the rim and I'm ready to go. I see no balance weight on the rim so I ask the guy about it. He said it was a perfect balance no weight needed. Highly unlikely but it does happen I've read. My overall experience poor work ethic. If this is how they handle business when there is only one customer around. I'd hate to see how it would be like with a shop full of customers. Lesson learned i will stick with the Gilbert location. It is worth the drive knowing you'll be taken care of right read more

They have free air service and tire checks. They have a comfy lobby if you do need to wait. They offered me water since it was so hot out. They have great service. I've come to this Discount Tire for over 20 years and I've always been happy with the service. However, today I am unhappy with an attempt to oversell me on lug nuts. The sales guy working the front desk tried to tell me that my lug nuts are in danger of being stripped out, which would prevent a tire from being removed. My car is only 5 years old, and no one has ever told me I had a lug nut problem so I was automatically suspicious. Then we walked back inside and showed me a sample of a bad lug nut... which just happened to be sitting on the counter--as if he oversells lug nuts all day long. By the way, he quoted me $50 for a set of lug nuts for the whole car, while O'Reillys charges $.50 a nut. To be fair, they are fast and efficient. Their tire prices appear to be fair. I got there about 9:50am check in my vehicle got a message receiving saying my my service would be done by 10:51am. Tell me why someone finally got my car in at 11:00am?
