I have been coming here since moving to Gilbert a couple years ago and they have been good and reliable with only a couple complaints. The staff there are friendly and always helpful. They have always been able to fit me in for an oil change, even last minute. I have had a couple bigger fixes done there as well and they have done a great job and always find me a discount or deal I can utilize. I don't feel like they nickel and dime me like some places tend to do. My main complaint has to do with my regular oil changes and the amount of time they take. I always wait there and I usually have my kids with me and sometimes they take two hours which is just too long for an oil change, especially when you have two small children waiting with you. My local Firestone on Lindsey in Mesa doesn't currently have an A/C Tech and recommend I go to the Gilbert location at 70 E Guadalupe. I called last week after two failed attempts at a different Firestone location and Darrell set me up for 7am appointment. I arrived, Darrell checked me in and my car was looked at in no time. I love going to Firestone, Darrell was able to see I was also due for an oil change. The A/C was charged, oil changed and new nozzle for my windshield wiper fluid was installed Ron assisted me in checking out and explained everything that was done. I have never had any of the Firestone technicians I've had since 2012 tell me I needed something for my car that wasn't needed, they never try to upsale me. Brought my car here for an alignment issue the dealership was not able to fix and I saw Tony. After explaining the issue, Tony knew exactly what I was talking about and how to resolve the issue. Most places I have been to look at me like I have two heads. Tony and the technician who worked on my car were able to fix the issue I was having in less than an hour. This issue I was facing has been ongoing for months and I have been to four Hyundai dealerships and had 10 service appointments and the dealerships weren't able to fix it. Had a flat tire, brought it in because this is where I bought all four from. I asked if they could repair it and they said they had to replace the entire tire even though it was fine on the outside and didn't explain why. They also said my warranty expired even though I was originally told it was for the life of the tire so I had to pay $132 for a new one. I appreciate them getting me in on a Saturday but they didn't rotate the tires like they did last time I had to get a flat replaced there & didn't even bother to put the caps back on the lug nuts of the new tire. Came in for an oil change and specifically asked for full synthetic oil. Price was about as much as I have paid at other locations/competitors. However, after picking up my vehicle I discovered that they used a synthetic blend which is not the right oil I asked for and massively over priced at the rate I paid. I went here recently merely out of convenience as they are close by. I prefer to go to Sunland but I just didn't want to drive that far. I feel they are overpriced for what they do. They did the work (as far as I know) and they did catch a problem so I'm happy about that. I'm disappointed they don't have a check box on their work orders that you can indicate to them that any expenses (between a certain price range) needed to complete the work are authorized. They had my car for what was very simple maintenance for 6 hours because they needed me to authorize a $20 part and I stepped out and didn't get the call until later. Are you kidding me??? They WILL ALWAYS recommend services you DON'T NEED. Do not worry. Your car isn't going to fall apart or explode in the next 100 miles, or next the 6 months. Maintenance that I recently performed myself, they stated needed to be done again. Uh huh, right. Change your own air filter. You'll save a FORTUNE. Engine air filters and cabin air filters are about $10 at the three (on the same block) car part stores. The labor they will charge you to change them is about 3 to 4 times the cost of the filter. I'm surprised they don't also charge a disposal fee on these yet. If they say your oil is a little low, go purchase a quart and maybe add a little. You'll save a fortune there too on more unneeded maintenance. Go in and out only paying for what brought you there in the first place. Don't fall for all the extra services I'm sure they are required to push. I'd avoid that multi-point inspection as it's way overpriced also and I'm sure will lead to them recommending about $500-$1000 of maintenance you also don't need. Overall I'm on the fence on trusting them with anything and will explore another close by option if I need this service in the future. I wish Sunland had branch locations. read more

I called in about 12:15pm looking to see how soon I could get my vehicle in for them to inspect my tires and an oil change. Darryl answered the phone stated they were a bit busy but would take me in 45 mins. I arrived at 1pm was greeted my Carrie he checked our vehicle in. We left at about 1:20 and they got started. Carrie stated it would be ready in about an hour and a half. Darryl called and informed me that my tire got patched up they were finishing up my oil change and they were going to rotate my tires. All which was done before 3pm. I'm thankful for Darryl getting me in so quick and the guys for finishing up my vehicle in a timely manner and for the kindness of Carrie who assisted us. Came into this location with a flat rear Firestone tire (That had a tread warranty), not only was I told that they could ONLY replace my tire with a premium (Potenza) tire, but that there was no base model tire anywhere in the state of Arizona, but hey! They definitely had those base tires for the front of my car. After buying the 2 tires to replace the front, I asked to receive a call back with prices of the base model of my tire for the rear and how long I would need to wait for them to be ordered the next day. BEHOLD! I receive a quote for yet again the top quality tire in stock and they continue to tell me that there are no base models of the tire that they can get... You mean to tell me that the same tire you have in your show room that you are advertising is not only nowhere in the state, but there's no way to purchase them?!?! After asking them why the only tire they can get me is the most expensive tire, I was then placed on a brief hold and then told that they can outsource tires and provide no warranty for a price more expensive than the base model tire that wasn't even from Firestone! Makes me 100% glad that my other vehicles have a lifetime warranty and great tires through Discount Tire Co., I wish I would have initially done business with Americas Tire Company (Discount Tire Co.) when getting these tires in Los Angeles. To recap: I came into Firestone for new tires and had a flat tire. They thankfully had the base models for the front of my car so I bought 2 new tires for the front, but they did not even try to acquire rear tires for my car... So my options provided by Firestone are... Pay an extra $150 for new tires at the premium rate.... Or find tires myself so they can then be proactive and THEN try to match it... Instead of just ordering the tires that I need. I have 2 brand new tires on the front... 1 spare and 1 low tread tire on the rear... and a flat tire STILL in my trunk... but hey, at least they got 2 tires out of me right?! You guys are terrible with your customer service and training your staff on how to locate inventory (maybe just at this location, I don't recall having a problem with Firestone in Los Angeles)... I already regret buying the 2 tires on the front (EVEN when they were pro rated) because now I'm stuck with this terrible customer service when I have an issue again... I at least shouldn't have purchased the warranty on the front 2... it would have only saved me $16, but I wouldn't feel obligated to go to Firestone for new tires. Will be trying to reach out to corporate at (615) 937-1000 to see if they actually have any of these tires in the country that they can send to AZ. Apparently the only way to get any answers is to ask the questions to find the information you expect "professionals" to already know. In November 2020 I came in because my emergency brake light was on. I was told I needed new brakes. My brakes were replaced and then my car started making noises. My car worked perfectly fine with no noise until this location worked on my brakes. I brought the car back and told them the issue. They claimed it made no noise and did nothing. Then I brought it back a 2nd time and they told me they put something on wrong and it was rubbing so they said they fixed it. The noises continued. I brought the car in a 3rd time on February 24, 2021. They again told me there were no noises. Before I even left the parking lot the noises continued. 4 trips to this location and my car is still making noise!!! No explanation. No help from YOUR mistake. I have missed work on all 4 trips. I have used Firestone for my car care for years. I can guarantee you I will NEVER visit another Firestone and will be making sure that all of my family and friends know what a terrible job Firestone does and make sure they never spend another dime in any of your locations. We called around for best price to several places and found Firestone offered the best. $24.99 for full oil change which included a full car inspection. They got us right in and the staff was very friendly and professional. The lobby was very clean and had free WiFi, TV, and several magazines for people to enjoy. The lobby had lots of windows which provided good lighting and your able to view the work being done on your car. The shop was very clean & all staff were clean cut and in nice uniforms. I'm pretty frustrated because I think these guys lied about a nail being in my tire. They called me asking me if I wanted a patch, and I said yes, becuase I've gotten nails before. But when I went to pick up my car, they said that it had flex seal in the tire.  They showed me the tire and it was a very big hole, not at all what I've usually seen. Also, a nail that big, I literally look over my tires frequently, and didn't notice the nickel size nail in the middle of the tire.  They said someone must have added the flex seal, which doesn't make sense because all the tires were from the same place, and two months prior I had my tire get a nail in it, without any flex seal leakage.  They also said my other tiers were bad, and I'm not a idiot, I can clearly see the tread myself. I should have just had them put the donut on to be petty but it was a Sunday. I was just trying to get my oil changed.  Its disapointing because usually firestone hasn't been this sketchy and its hard finding a auto group that is trustworthy. read more

He eventually left and the last time I came in they told me my strut was leaking, considering I never noticed a leak, had any problems and my car is relatively new I got a second opinion. The mechanic could not show me the issue at firestone either. Sure enough another mechanic told me my car was fine. That would have been a $400 pointless repair. These guys are not trust worthy! I was across the street at swim lessons with my three year old and realized I had a very low tire. So low I didn't feel safe driving my child around so I pulled in around 5pm. My young daughter was in her bathing suit so I really didn't want to take her inside so I called and Ron answered and was kind enough to come outside to me and check out my tires. He took a look and said "Don't be mad...but you need new tires". I looked and was shocked how badly I did need new tires (I work from home due to covid and I was not looking as I should have). I decided to get all four new tires, he went inside and brought me a few quotes and availability. A wide variety of quality snd cost. He was so nice and helpful. The fact he understood I didn't want to take my child out of the car was a relief. I was asking if it could be done in 30 min i was short on time. they even put me on " schedule" to make sure I was on the road on time. When I got there the guy who was helping me was not only not helping me but took a 5min call while i wait and didn't even apologize about the time. He said it would be about 1 hour. Within 15 minutes, they found the problem, fixed it, at NO CHARGE and were so sympathetic and kind and attentive... Jim service advisor and Greg technician and the others whose name I don't know... were on task... turns out, my tire was about to fall off... they tightened everything and torqued ALL the wheels as a precaution. We took our car in for an A/C issue. After attempting to fix it, as soon as we left the car started to blow hot air again. Israel did not hesitate to have us come back to the shop and try and get us set up with a rental car(on them). After two full days at their shop the issue ended up being electrical and surpassed their specialties. Even though this situation would normally be a poor experience, Israel did everything he could do to make it right. I came in early in the morning letting the tech know that I needed an alignment. My car pulls to the right and I needed that fixed asap. After the service was finished he told me my front left tire goes to the left and they fixed that and aligned everything. He claims everything is good. I read these reviews and I always wonder if it's a real person doing a real review well this is. First I'd like to say the guy behind the counter was very polite and knowledgeable and was good at explaining everything. However I was told 40 to 45 minutes for a Front wheel alignment. Two hours later I was handed my keys and then to find out that the tire pressure monitoring system had not been reset and no tire pressures would come up on my instrument panel. The extra time was attributed to the crew playing with a smart phone and doing too much horseing and around and not enough work. read more

They keep me rolling and I just passed my emissions test on the first try for the next two years.
