Wanted to give 5 stars. Great staff , great pricing, HOWEVER, I got a lot of work done (oil change, transmission flush, brake fluid flush, and tire rotation) BUT, my tires actually weren't rotated. I had just got 2 brand new tires on my front so I knew after a rotation, they would be on the back. Obviously not the end of the world, but 5 stars means perfection, and while I "assume" the oil and transmission and brake fluids were indeed taken care of, technically how would I know? The tires I easily could tell, considering they had a tread depth of 10 vs 4, which caused me to have to go back to discount tire to have the rotation performed. Again, great place and I had some additional service recommendations that I considered going back for, but if a simple rotation isn't taken care of, I do have cause for pause that other service may not actually be performed unless I'm sitting in the bay watching every single step. Nonetheless, I do know if I went back they would have completed it, but they're a bit out of the way and also, after spending $550, I would like to think I shouldn't have to go back for work that was supposed to be done the first time. 4 stars is best I can do. read more

I highly recommend these guys. No second time I've taken my truck in to get it repaired. They ran a diagnostics found all that needed to be repaired and let me know what was major. What wasn't I ended up getting everything I needed repaired truck is running beautiful now got no problems and I'll be back there. I took my 2013 Ford Edge in because the brake pedal had a lot of travel in it. I had done some research and was told that it was probably air in the lines or something simple like that. I also found out that if you pump up the break pedal and it holds, it probably not the master cylinder, which makes sense. I told the guy at the counter I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it because it's an old car with a lot of miles on it, but I still use it as a backup. It's worth maybe $3,000. So I left the car and got an estimate a couple of hours later with $7,500 worth or recommended repairs, including a new master cylinder, brakes shoes, new hoses and tires, system flushes, etc. etc. I literally told them that that I didn't want to spend a lot of money and really only wanted the brakes looked at. It's an old car and I get that it has a lot of stuff that is wearing out. But maybe next time do what the customer asked and quote the job at hand first before you try to upsell a bunch of extra stuff. read more

I didn't feel any pressure when I took my car here. They were probably the cleanest mechanics shop I've ever seen... they even had free coffee which was really nice or you could buy a soft drink! Robert, the guy at the front desk, was so very helpful and they did such a great job and they communicated very well! I trusted what they did and if I needed assistance again, I definitely would go back! It was nice that Lyft picked me up and I went to a movie! I have taken many of my autos here to be serviced, repaired and inspected and they have always been very honest and quick with all the repairs they completed. But one thing people should read that goes above and beyond a lot of other repair shops is they offer on most (not all) repairs a 36,000 mile or 36 month warranty. Other shops only give you 12,000 miles or 1 year! That itself gives me peace of mind over other chain repair shops. read more

My wife brought her car in for a wheel alignment only. When she returned, she was handed a long list of recommended repairs--each with high price tags--which left her confused and upset. I went in to speak with the desk manager, who claimed this was part of their standard service policy. We don't agree with that approach, especially when it wasn't requested. I also noticed we were double-charged for the alignment, which he apologized for and corrected. This isn't the kind of shop that simply performs the service requested. I took my truck in here for some engine issues and I have it checked out. They ran a thorough diet check and were able to diagnose all the problems. These guys went above and beyond to get my truck fixed in a timely, respectable manner, and even when above and beyond Making sure I got the right price and showed me and talk to me about what was actually going on with my truck and they were able to fix it and find tuna and get it back to original state. I had a diesel truck that stranded my wife and I...just wouldn't start. The tow truck driver dropped it at RW. After diagnostics they told me the part that was needed and that it would be about $1200 to repair. It was a fuel pressure issue as I had anticipated. A couple days later I learned that the truck was still not starting right and the technician identified a second part which would be another $1200. Two and a half days later I hadn't heard anything and I called them. They sounded a bit sheepish and told me that I now had an oil pressure issue. That was out of left field!! They wanted to dig into that and add who knows how much more to the fiasco. I was sitting at $2400 and asked... " does the truck start & run?" They said yes. I went and picked up the truck and it did start. I had been looking at another vehicle at a dealer, so not wasting any time I drove to the dealer and decided to trade my truck in. We were in the middle of paperwork and the sales rep asked for the keys. He came back and said the truck would not start. I lost $3000 on my trade in. I took my newer truck back to RW as I had made an appointment for them to do a pre purchase inspection. I had them do it because I wanted to see what they had to say about my fiasco at the dealership. They said nothing except that will be $99 for the inspection. That right there told me how this outfit rolls. A stand-up outfit would have perhaps said the inspection is on the house...yet Nada. If they would have tried to show a little empathy or help, they may have kept me for a customer. This outfit is on my black list and I will tell many my experience. So fat so good! I made an appointment for an oil change, filter, tire rotation and general inspection after traveling across the country. The inspection report showed a leaking shock. this did not surprise me as my undercarriage had been hit with debris while traveling. took it back for the shocks and noticed immediately the difference. Just as good as any other shop. I wouldn't waste your time here. I'm not sure who licensed your mechanics but the fact that they can't diagnose and fix an oil leak the first time on a 97 ford ranger is pretty sad. Probably the easiest truck you can fix. I spent 5500 here to get work done on it and I think they just half a** it because it's an old truck that doesn't look pretty. I will never recommend this place and will never bring any of my vehicles here. I would love to shake the hand of the mechanic that can't fix a standard 4 cyl engine. Sad. read more

Very professional and completely honest. I had my tires rotated at Costco and on the work order it stated that car needs alignment due to uneven tire wear. This, despite the fact that the car drove in a straight line with no pulling and that tire wear according to my tread gauge was even. As I wanted to preserve my tire warranty with Costco I took the car into Rustic Wrench for alignment and they checked it and told me it did not need one and did not charge me for the examination. The week of 5/27 I brought my 2017 Honda Civic in because the AC started blowing hot air on 5/24. I noticed the compressor pulley was no longer spinning. At this time there were no other issues with the car and was averaging 38mpgs with the AC on (I'm well aware that any car will have a performance degradation with the AC on). I was informed they would not replace just the compressor and would only do the work if the entire AC unit was replaced (compressor, condenser, evaporator, lines and refrigerant...etc). Reluctantly I agreed since a warranty would be involved for a grand total of $2700. Once I picked the car up I immediately noticed a performance degradation, but since this is my wife's car I thought it might just be me. After a week of driving my wife started complaining that she too had noticed the sluggishness of the engine and a strange high pitched noise. In addition the MPG dropped to 26 MPG. I called the Rustic Wrench up and was told this is normal with all cars having the AC on. We have had this car since brand new and it has always performed the same since the day we bought it. I did have some back and forth disagreements about A/C performance. Thomas called me back and asked that I bring the car back in. They determined that the new compressor was bad and replaced it. We brought the car home and everything was great. After 4 days, the same symptoms returned. I reluctantly called Thomas and returned the car. He replaced the compressor again this time with Honda parts and the car has been working great since. They finished working on my SUV within 36hours of dropping it off. They installed the manufacturer fuel pump and it came with 3/36k mile warranty. Great customer service and they did a great job. My only knock would be I wish they would take pictures of the issue beforehand and pictures of the installment after as well. I don't tend to leave reviews, but this one needed to be left. I went to Rustic Wrench several times and was quite happy at first. I left after one day when I had an appointment that was completed. I left the shop and after 10min or so I heard a grinding noise in the tires. I immediately went back but was told they had other customers they had to cater to now. Even though I'd had an appointment that day and had only been gone maybe a half hour. They said they would put the car up and check it out real quick. Make sure it wasn't the rotors, etc. They told me everything was fine, so, I left. The noise came back shortly after. I took it to another shop, and they put it up, and said it was the rotors. The new shop replaced the rotors and the noise was gone. Rustic didn't check anything I suspect and even made a show of pretending they did. The second time was when they changed the transmission fluid. Took roughly and hour and 15 min. Fast forward a few months I'm at the new shop and they check the transmission fluid. They mentioned it had a burnt smell to it as though it was old. I asked the new shop to change it and come to find out the transmission doesn't even have a drain plug. You have to drop the whole filter to replace the fluid and the silicone takes 3 hrs to dry. Once again, I suspect Rustic never changed the fluid. They only said they did. The last time was when Rustic changed the drain plug in the rear differential. The drain plug came out on it's own and the fluid leaked out. Now I need to plan on replacing the whole rear end. I have talked to two professionals who both stated, if done right, there is no reason the drain plug should have fallen out. As I said, I don't normally leave reviews, but since on three separate occasions I can point to Rustic not doing their job correctly, or even at all, I felt I should make sure the information was there for others. read more
