First time being here... I called ahead and made an appointment for 12 pm. I show up at 11:55 and waited in the lobby for 15 minutes before anyone offered to help me. After checking in and deciding on the type of oil for my car he told me it would be a 2 hr wait at least because "other people with appointments" were ahead of me. I then explained that I had made an appointment for 12 and it was now 12:30. He apologized and talked to the techs and came back saying they would get in me asap and I should be out of there in 1 hr 30 mins. Still not ideal, but okay. I decide to go to the coffee shop next door to read and wait. At 1 pm I receive a call from them saying my car has a "special" oil filter they do not keep in stock and that I would need to pay an additional $49 (to order it from AutoZone) on top of the already $80 something for my oil. I've had my car for 2 years, get it serviced regularly and I have never paid an additional price for the oil filter. I walked back over to the shop and talked with a tech who said he could call around and find something cheaper. He then tells me he found a different one for $17.99 and they could get that. He then assures me that as soon as the part comes I will be good to go because they will finish up everything else by then. 2 pm rolls around, still no part, still no work done on my car, still waiting. They finally finished and I left. Never again will I bring my car here or will I go to another Firestone location. read more

I took my car in for an alignment and to have the tires balanced. The car rides and drives nice and strait now. Everybody I talked to was very professional and courteous. They looked the car over for free and were very thorough. They offer all kinds of other services. I can only speak for an alignment but they did a great job. read more

So a few months ago, they surely would not have gotten 5 stars from me, but since then they've changed their staff, even managers I think, and they're amazing! I always watch, because I'm a little paranoid (it's hard trusting strangers with what's ultimately the safety of you and your babies!) and they literally had other workers come around and double check everything before they released my car. I had one of the worse experiences I've ever had at a firestone location. Brought in my car for an 8am appointment, checked in at 8:12am and did not get my car until 4:07pm. Apparently Tyler, the guy who checked me in did not note my appointment. I was given an estimated time for 1pm latest. But after several call ins to check on the ETA PAST my target time, I finally went to check on my car and it was still not quite ready. When I finally got my car back they forgot to do the tire rotation, no...TYLER FORGOT TO PUT IT ON... That was a whole days worth of bullshit. I am beyond pissed that Tyler who made this fuck up did not once have the decency to apologize, not even a casual "my bad" instead he left me to deal with Osbey who did not deserve my irritation or anger. Now I understand too, I went on mothers day, I understand it's busy. Fine, but there's no excuse with the lack of communication and professionalism, the lack of an honest update. Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. Firestone is a household name, the least of all I thought I could expect was an apology from the idiot who made the mistake. So disappointed. read more

Get a second opinion for any work that they suggest before you let them work on your vehicle! Better yet... don't even waste your time bringing your car to these con artist salesmen... just find yourself a good mechanic instead! This Firestone shop has the best customer service I have ever experienced at any Firestone stop I have visited. Juan is on top of the game here and I hope Firestone never moves him around unless they use him first as a trainer for new shop staff. Pricing on repairs is just a bit higher than independent shops but I have found them to be honest and its worth the slightly extra cost. read more

Dishonest, overpriced. I was asked by someone interested in buying my car to have them do an inspection. They said the battery needed to be replaced, and that one of the CV boots was torn. I took the car to the shop where I normally go. They checked the battery and inspected the CV boots: both were fine. The quote for the single axle replacement was $343. I've had front axles that had torn CV boots replaced for half that cost. They quoted $48 to replace the air filter, and $58 to replace the cabin air filter. An air filter for my car runs about $18, and a cabin air filter about $22. I would strongly recommend going to another shop for service. These guys are not trustworthy. read more

I went to this Firestone location because of the amazing reviews they received. My experience with them has been with two of my vehicles. One vehicle needed a catalytic converter replacement which the guys here gave a GREAT price for the replacement part. The other time I visited this location was when the other one of my vehicles had a rear wheel assembly hub that needed replacement. Thanks to Store Manager, Juan Mendoza, I received a great price for the part and labor to replace it. Thank you for your caring and helpful attitude while working with my vehicle. The guys here also reattached an underside front plastic piece that had come loose on my vehicle, which was very kind of them to do. Thank you to the mechanics and managers at this Firestone location. ***Update*** Maybe it was the technician who forgot to check what I asked the manager to check for, or maybe it is just that Firestone won't check specific fluid levels without customers paying for a full inspection. I went in for a routine oil change last week and asked the employee (manager?--NOT Juan, though) if they would also check my coolant level. He said yes when I asked him. He then went to pull my vehicle around to a dock, then he came back inside the lobby for me to sign papers. He asked me if I wanted the "Special" they had for a detailed inspection of hoses, fluids, etc., but I didn't have an extra hour to wait there so I declined. Forty-five minutes or so goes by while they change my oil, and I sign the paperwork to pay for the oil change. When I got home I had a suspicion they didn't check my coolant level, so I checked it myself. Low and behold the level was low as I suspected (that's why I wanted the technician to check my coolant when I was at the shop). It was my fault for not looking over the paperwork the tech gave me to see exactly what he had completed, but what ever happened to courtesy fluid checks??? Was there a time period where fluids were checked for levels during routine oil changes? Yes there was a time and there are still professional garages that do this, but apparently not this Firestone. I would pay a small fee for the tech to top off my coolant. I don't think I need a "special vehicle inspection" and have other parts of my vehicle checked over if I ask for only the coolant level to be checked. Do you guys "top off" coolant reservoirs if a customer asks for just that? read more

The staff went above and beyond, making sure my car was in perfect shape before I left their facilities. Clean waiting area and awesome service. Do not go to this Firestone, they are a true ripoff. They claimed they gave me a deal on a thermostat housing because they didn't charge for the part. But they charged me $358 for labor. The previous work was also do by Firestone who also didn't do the job right, I think I finally learned my lesson and just want to warn others. Few months ago had come in the morning around 830-9am to get front brakes inspected during a promo or something had spoken with (joel? john? colt?) honestly can't remember at this time. They had a few cars in the bay so I understood that it may be a while before inspection so I told em to take their time. I left and hadn't heard anything all day, comes close to 3-4PM and hadn't even had a returned call yet so I was worried they maybe just started working on it without consulting. I call them back and for some reason was placed on hold for a good 3-4 minutes, I decide to just get dropped off there. I arrive and am told that I needed all 4 pads and rotors replaced(or resurfaced for the rotors). I refused any work and left. I had full CPR on the rear literally less than 6 months ago at a Greulichs so I know they were trying to bend me over under the impression that because I was taking my car to a shop meant that I probably didn't know shit about cars.I'm not claiming I do, but i'm also not completely inept. Also, why was the cap to my master cylinder reservoir missing after taking it in? I highly doubt you guys needed to check the brake fluid under the hood to see if the pads and rotors were worn out. I appreciate it the gesture, but where's the cap that was there? Whatever, I'll order another one for $11. A good honest mechanic is hard to find these days Take your business elsewhere. There's much better and much more honest mechanics half a mile away just north on gilbert road on the right past the autozone and sonic. read more

My father has used Firestone for many years, both personal and work vehicles. I thought I would give them a try myself for an alignment. Every step of the way it was a struggle to get the team to communicate. After picking up the vehicle I had to ask the guy to go over my paperwork and explain the process (later found out he was a trainee there by himself, wow) I was told it was test driven, but when I drove it, it obviously hadn't since it still pulls to the right. I was told there were some adjustments they couldn't make, but never explained why, or what was causing the misalignment, but was told in spite of those issues, "it drives straight" (the trainee told me that). On top of all that at 3 different times, I asked them to find and replace the wheels as they were damaged (very noticeable as well), but all 3 times it was not noted or executed (I had to take care of that myself at home). They didn't even balance the wheel or test it in anyway. None of the notes on this checkup list were discussed, I had to interpret the chicken scratch myself, only to find that the tech recommended struts, since one was leaking, a camber correction bolt that would have helped alignment that wasn't completed, and some other random items. When I spoke with the manager he basically blamed trainee's and that he was sorry he wasn't in the shop at the time of my visit. My experience left me feeling like this company (or at least location) has a major lack of communication, lack of professionalism, and lack of any real automotive knowledge beyond general maintenance and tire rotations. Find yourself a good reputable mechanic to work on your car, its totally worth it. As for me? I'm off to another company to have my car aligned properly this time, or at the very least to have them show me why they can't. read more

I got a flat tire while running errands with my 4 month old baby in 100+ degree temps! Israel greeted me immediately, checked my tire pressure, and advised me on what to do. He asked me if I had a warranty at another shop, and told me that I'd need a new tire. And, though it meant that Firestone was not going to get my business that day (I do have a warranty at another shop closer to my home!), Israel still proceeded to put my spare tire on my car for me for free so I could make it home safely that night. This place SUCKS. I paid almost $700 to have the 3 belts in my car replaced. At first, they told me I only had two belts in my car, in which I told them I had already had it quoted at another shop, and there are three belts. They told me it would be three hours. They called me after two hours and said that I was correct, that there were three belts. They offered me the same price that the other company was willing to do for three belts. That was the only good thing about them. After a total of about six hours, my car was complete. I should have checked under the hood. After a few months, while getting an oil change at Gruelich's, I was told that my AC belt needed to be replaced. I explained that I had just had all three belts replaced. Ends up the Gilbert location really only changed out one belt, but charged me for three, and kept my car for almost 6 hours to make it look like the work had been done. The Firestone in Cave Creek fixed the issue for me. I will never return to the Gilbert location! read more

Never again. I've been here many times with multiple vehicles and service has never been a problem. Took it in for oil change alignment and rotation and came out with a broken lock. Seriously? A broken lock? They broke the lock on my driver's side and I found out when I left and went directly to the store and couldn't lock my car!! Came back and the tech said he was wondering why he couldn't get out of my car! Thats funny because I got out and it locked fine when I dropped it off 2 hours prior! What a joke. Now I'm back and he's taking the whole door off!! Unbelievable. I'm sure my door won't close now after. Should have gone to the dealer like I normally do. They couldn't fix it and I ended up going to the dealer and having to get a loaner car while it got fixed. Never again. Funny too that the manager said they "don't really have a corporate just an area manager" because about 5 years ago I had to phone their corporate on another vehicle and the guy at my dealer just happened to work for a Firestone store and said call corporate. read more
