First off by saying I was there all morning today waiting on my car to get fixed didn't get done till late no communication there and a women who said she was a manager who works there was very rude and unprofessional giving me attitude when they messed up on my car and tires and I was charged again for it when they messed up and she accused of me saying I messed up the tire and I didn't she was very unprofessional and had a attitude I will be going to cooperate giving a complaint on her fire her!!! I absolutely had a horrible experience at the discount tire in Tempe and even wrote a review about Cole one of the managers over there that assisted me that morning end up making it to this other discount tire and Cameron completely took care of me. I definitely believe in giving companies second chances because sometimes different locations give different experiences and Tempe definitely needs a little bit of work and could take a little bit of what Mesa customer service was like. I was on the freeway yesterday and one of my tires nearly completely delaminated and came apart. Thankfully there was a Discount Tire close by so I carefully made my way there and that's when I met Steve. Steve was such a professional during my entire experience. He walked out to my vehicle with me and not only looked at my damaged tire but also checked the other three tires as well. We went back inside and I mentioned to him that I prefer to use Michelin tires because they have always served me well. He showed me his screen and explained to me that for my specific vehicle the Michelin tires are not rated as highly as some other options. He explained that if I was dead set on Michelin tires he would certainly put them on for me but there were better options available. So I went with the highest rated tires for my vehicle because It's my business vehicle and I wanted the best tires possible. I gladly paid up and they got me out of there that same day. Overall Steve was such a breath of fresh air. I was a nervous wreck because my vehicle is my lifeline and without it I am sunk. He and his entire crew were all amazing and I was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. I wish more businesses would value their clients the same. Thanks again to everyone there. read more

Discount Tire in Mesa lost another customer today. Strke1 - they closed down the branch near me which was excellent in terms of customer service and work. Strike 2 - they closed down the express air check at another store because of excessive heat - this is ARIZONA - the manager didn't care about my inconvenience! Strike 3 - The young lady at another store followed the policy and wouldn't put air in my tires - guess they don't want to help even if it means putting the client in danger. We have been buying tires from Discount Tire for more than 10 years and we own several cars. I'm sure they won't miss my business but everyone should know their concern for the customer isn't what it used to be and we have choices. read more

Discount Tire 1929 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 When my tire went flat, I called for a tow truck, and the closest place was Discount Tire in Mesa. I should have just gone to the one in Gilbert, where I've always been treated fairly. This Mesa location? It's a joke. The salesperson here is a total con artist. He used some device to check my tire tread and claimed it was at 4/32", which supposedly voided my warranty. He insisted I had to buy a new tire, but here's the kicker: if I bought another tire, he'd give me a warranty on the flat one. What a scam! Out of 4 tires, it just happened that the flat tire was at 4/32" ... right I felt completely trapped. For all I know, that flat tire isn't even at 4/32". This guy is just trying to make a sale, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's the top salesman here, using these shady tactics to rip people off. If I had any other option, I would have gone to Gilbert. The salespeople there have always been honest and fair with me. I will NEVER set foot in this Mesa location again. Loved this place until yesterday. Went in for a tire change and was unaware they were unable to complete it due to a stripped lug nut. I understand them not being able to finish the tire change but I was not made aware that my spare was still on the car. Drove on the highway 3 times before realizing and was not offered any reconciliation, and had to go to a different auto shop and pay for another service. While getting my car worked on, my mechanic recognized that one of the tires was low on air. After a quick visual check he alerted me to a nail or screw in our rear passenger tire. He told me as soon as he finished up with the fuel filter replacement, I should head directly to Discount. Thankfully, this location was literally right around the corner and open until 6 PM. I was greeted with a smile and helped very quickly even though it was the end of their day. In and out in about 20 mins - tire repaired (no charge) and tires rotated because they were overdue for that. We love Discount's customer service, their tire warranty/repair program, and their hard-working and friendly staff. We are customers for life and it's great experiences like this that keep us coming back. It's always reassuring to see the same high level of service at a different location. read more

I needed a repair on one of my tires. I made an appointment for 1:15 but didn't double check the appointment location. When I showed up, I was greeted by Dom. He informed me I was at the wrong location. I apologized and asked if he could still fit me in because I wasn't comfortable driving on a damaged tire. He informed me it could be over an hour wait but would try to get me out earlier. He was extremely friendly and calming. I get anxious with car issues $$$.. they were able to repair my tire and have me out in under 45 mins. The gentleman who repaired my tire drove my car right up to the door. A+++ customer service. The employees are really nice. I've come here a several times and always had a pretty good experience. I recently stopped by to get air in my tires. I drive a civic, and my tires psi should be around 35. I know every time I get air filled, they check the side of the door for the correct psi. well for about 1month and half, i've been driving around with over inflated tires. 60psi on my little tires that have a max psi of 51. I noticed that the donut spare tire requires 60psi. I'm thinking the person putting in air, misread and did 60psi on all 4. Which seems pretty dangerous. I called the location to let them know of this so they can check the machines and talk to their employees, so it doesn't not happen to anyone else. Please be cautious! read more

Ben is an absolute ROCK STAR. By far the best service I have ever gotten at a tire shop, probably the best service I've had anywhere in AZ in a long time! Came in to swap over to my 18" wheels from my 17" set, they discovered some damage done by another discount tire rendering one of my Michelins unsafe, Ben took full ownership of the other locations mistake and hooked me up with an incredible deal on a set of continental tires. He took what would have been a horrible headache and frustration to a major positive. I'm so happy to find that there are still great people in the world willing to help out. Honestly, a little upset. I don't think discount has ever steered me wrong and they've been good to me for 15 years. I brought my vehicle in because I had a nail or some object in my tire. They wasted an hour of my time to only tell me they can't do anything about it and I need new tires. The assistant, to the senior manager profiled me for being in business attire and assumed I'd succumb to his lies and I'd be so willing to shell out a G for new tires. First mistake he made was lying to a car guy. I was within the tread wear limit, I was not in the side wall. I took it home and patched it myself for $6. This is a great discount tire location that I have had to use many times. They turn around cars pretty fast within an hour or two can get you in and out. They are in a prime location with a huge parking lot. The only thing I could complain about would just be the pricing which I'm sure doesn't vary too much from place to place. Tires are expensive. All around the staff is always very helpful inviting and friendly. The inside waiting area has lots of chairs and is always comfortable. Not to mention they are next to a fast food place, an Asian grocery store, some other little restaurants, and another grocery store... Tons of places to explore while you wait. read more

The customer service here is top notch and if you have an appointment you're in and out in literally 30 minutes! This is by far one of the busiest locations I've been to, so you definitely should make an appointment. The only reason there's a lack of one star is I had to reschedule because they didn't confirm my tires were in the first two shipments that were suppose to be at the shop on my original appointment date.
