Went to do a return of headlights incorrectly purchased. Had my receipt. Wouldn't return me the cash I paid ($50). Only wanted to do store credit. That would be fine if that's how I paid for it but I expect to be given cash back (or back to my debit card as an alternative). Female manager agreed with me and told me a return to a debit card was fine but Hispanic older male manager overheard and disagreed with her and told her gift card only. Sorry Steve, but I'm a fan of this store. The dude that assisted me was very knowledgeable, and I'm glad he looked up the right part for my car. I sure don't want to waste my time and energy looking up something that won't fit my baby. I had my oil changed recently, and when the Nissan Service Center quoted me an additional $150 to change my air filter, and to get a coolant flush. I said heck no! I'd rather look up youtube videos, learn it and save myself some money. When I told the guy my story, he said yeah you could find everything on youtube, and do it yourself. I recently had a pretty poor experience at a different location with someone who was uninterested in assisting me with a battery, then proceeded to deny that there were more cost effective batteries than what they sold. It was late, I had work at 9am 25 minutes from my home, and my lights were starting to dim in my car. I was too worried about not getting home or making it to work, and was told I could price match if I found a better deal. I don't know much about cars, but I've always trusted that O'Reilly's gives me the truth straight forward, even if it is pricier there but the quality is worth it I'll still pay. The next day a friend helped me look into it, found batteries $40-70$ cheaper than what I spent. Called original store, got blown off pretty rudely. I gave it another shot and called this location. Got the GM (David, I believe) on the phone. Told him my situation, explained that in my current state any help would be appreciated. David did the leg work to find a comparable battery price, and re rang my battery up to give back the difference. Super understanding, so helpful, and so appreciated. I will be making this my new destination, even if it's a 20 minute drive. Thank you again. read more

Liars that try to cheat you out of your money. Don't take a battery in for a recharge. No matter the battery condition they will tell you it's bad and try to sell you a new one. My experience: I bought an old truck with some wiring issues that kill the battery if it hasn't started in a while. The first time this happened I took the battery here for a recharge. The battery that came with the truck looked fairly new so I figured something with the truck drained the battery. I get a call back "the battery is reading as bad," says the kid on the phone. Thinking that could make sense because the truck is so old and I just bought it. So I buy a new battery from them. 5 months later the same thing happens. I take it in. "The battery is bad," the kid says, with the same emphasis on the word "bad" as the first time. Not sure if it was the same kid or if they've all been coached to say this phrase in this tone. I instantly pull out my receipt with the 1 year warranty to ask for a new battery. You can see the disappointment on the kids face through the COVID mask. Like he just got caught lying. 8 months go by, and the battery dies again. I take it in again. This time they don't even call me back after I drop the battery off. I had to call them to check the status a day later. The guy on the phone tells me "I've got two batteries and they both say bad". When I go to pick it up I hand the guy my tag. On his way back with the battery another employee tells him "that ones bad." "How do you know?" He responds. "Miguel told me." "You lie," he laughs at his coworkers then puts the battery on the counter and tells me is "bad". I take the battery immediately to AutoZone down the street. They check the battery at the counter and say it's at 92%. I take the battery home, put it in the truck, and the truck starts up. These people are f@&$ing crooks. read more

I had recently had my alternator replaced and was still having problems with my car starting from the battery. I took it to O'Reillys today to have them tested after it wouldn't start earlier and AAA jumped it . I was helped out by Alejandra , she told me that my battery was under warranty but they normally need a bad reading signal to replace it. She told me she would speak to the district manager to see if there was anything that she could do. The district manager was very nice and helpful and allowed her to replace my battery under warranty , even though there was no bad signal given. Furthermore if I was having problems with my car starting we knew that it wasn't the battery. This was very helpful and the customer service was outstanding. read more

The service and knowledge of the staff is so poor I moved my shop's commercial account to a different location. Constant screw ups. And if you go in the counter person will invariably have no idea what you need and will have to ask an absent coworker for help. Even when I call with THEIR part number they can't get it right. I was really in a pickle. My car needed a new battery but I had no clue how to change one or what to do. I tried going to my Walmart auto center but they were no help and refused to help me because they were closing in an hour. I really needed to get a new battery and would not be able to drive my car the next day because it wouldn't start. I was desperate! When I got to O'Reilly we were helped by Robert and he was the BEST! I was stressed and worried but he figured out what we needed and figured everything out for me. Went in to buy a replacement headlight bulb. I knew the exact part # from my owner's manual, and grabbed exactly what I needed. While I was checking out, the cashier asked me if I wanted him to check and make sure it was the right item. I asked him not to, but he checked anyways and told me I had the wrong item, and grabbed me a different one. It turns out I DID have the right item originally. When I went to return the bulb, the cashier told me that the original cashier was correct and I didn't know what I was doing. When I showed her the burned out bulb, she made some excuse about the headlights having multiple bulbs. She also gave me a hard time when I wouldn't give her my phone number to get my refund.
