September 8, 2025 - Noticed an odor; Jiffy Lube confirmed the vehicle had no cabin filter and low oil levels. September 8-12, 2025 - Observed white exhaust smoke from the tailpipe at all hours. September 16, 2025 - Greulich's Auto confirmed the white exhaust smoke and recommended an engine inspection. I declined, citing the 15-day / 500-mile implied warranty. September 18, 2025 - Will (Service Manager, Carizona) confirmed engine issues requiring full replacement; estimated two-week repair time. September 19, 2025 - Lissa Irvin (General Manager, Carizona) stated we must keep the car or lose our down payment, which is invalid and coercive. September 20, 2025 - Visited Carizona; spoke with GSM (Don or Rob) who refused assistance and repeated that we must keep the vehicle. Lesson learned, when they tell you the car is sold as is. Either bring a mechanic or know what to look for when buying a used car. I had to go to Discount Tire to get a tire repaired and found out that one of the other tires needed to be replaced and that was less than 2 months from when I purchased the car. read more

Anthony goes by ( TONY ) sold my mom a vehicle that needs about 8k in repairs. TONY also said it would pass emissions that's written in the contract which it did not because of the check engine light that turned on the day after she purchased it. Now TONY says the car cannot be returned ( he was really nice to my mom up until he made his bum sale ). That was only 1 problem out of many. My daugher-n-law bought a car from Carizona the end of last year. When we asked her about the warranty, she told us she didn't purchase one because she didn't want the payment higher. We told her she needed to save the money and purchase a warranty. When she had the money available, she went back to Carizona and asked them about purchasing a warranty and what it covered. They told her it was through ProGuard and should cover anything she would need for her 2016 Honda Civic. She purchased the warranty for ~$2300. Not too long after that, her car broke down and needed a new transmission. We were fortunate she bought the warranty, however they came back and said she made it sound like the car broke down before she bought the warranty and it wouldn't be covered. She explained that she needed to then cancel the warranty if they were not going to cover this big purchase because she needs that money to fix the car she just bought that needs expensive work done. The cancellation was completed on 2/27/26 and she has been emailing the dealership almost daily to see the status of the refund because ProGuard wouldn't respond to her. On March 24th the dealership told her ProGuard mailed the refund check to the dealership (not sure why it went to the dealership and not her directly) back on March 11th. Now the dealership will not respond to her. It is now March 31st and she still doesn't have the refund. Meanwhile, she is without a car that she is making payments on because they took advantage of a young adult trying to figure out life. I emailed them yesterday on her behalf asking for immediate remedation and tracking for the check, but have yet to hear back. They need to get her the money back ASAP or agree to fix the car as a warranty issue. read more

I had a great experience here until I called back about the IOU I was given. I just purchased a truck this past Saturday. They wrote the things I was requesting on a different paper and gave me someone else's information. Following the purchase of the vehicle I got an inspection done and there are filters missing and the battery is failing along with the washer pump being defective. I now have to spend even more money to get these things replaced since a proper inspection was not done on the vehicle before selling and they refuse to help with the cost. Walked in with my husband and my elderly mother. We had our eye on a specific Mazda we saw online that we intended to purchase for my mother. We'd gone to other car dealerships in the area and felt the salesman pressure of those guys to sell, sell, sell so I decided we would never buy from them. Upon walking in at Carizona in Mesa, a slew of salesmen began their way towards us...Meanwhile, I dipped, dived, ducked and chuckled inside while passing them up and pointing out who I preferred to work with... Personally I chose the sale guy that best represented our family and who didn't rush us at the door. In fact, we ended up having a great experience with him. His name is DARIUS. He was friendly, kind, patient and very helpful in answering questions. Best part is, when he didn't have a specific answer, he went to his manager to get our questions answered. Personally I prefer someone to do that than to make up a lie or take a random guess just to appease the customers. Darius was genuine and gave us plenty of options and space to choose and even though we ended up purchasing a vehicle through family, Darius kept in contact with me to the very end. I absolutely recommend his expertise and if I could give HIS PERSONAL SERVICE 10 stars, I certainly would. I believe if more sale folks were like him, customers would end up writing greater reviews. I hope that whoever reads this review will seriously consider buying a vehicle from someone else. I am going to be honest and specific as to why. Last Friday, I received the Black 2014 Honda Crosstour EXL from Carizona. I spent alot of time asking questions about the car's present condition as well as the history. I used specific terms asking if the body had any fading, deep abrasions or parts that needed replaced, past history of wrecks, warping leather, and dents. I asked the salesman to take the car out on the interstate and drive it with me on facetime and we did that. I was told that there was NO body damage including fading anywhere, no dents, no abrasions. The grill was wrinkled and the salesman said they would replace it and did. The center storage box was torn and I paid 65.00 to be recovered and it was done properly. With that being said, I was very dissappointed to see two deep abrasions with what looks like clear epoxy covering the raised damage. Significant fading on gas cap cover as well as the gas cap cover appearing to not fit properly as though it belonged to another vehicle. The lining from the front windshield to the back windowover the top of the vehicle is dryrotted and falling off when I lift it. There is a three inch circular dent over the left back passenger door that looks like it could possibly been hit by a hailstone. But the worst part: The hood is warped and shifts to the left approximately 1/2 inch from tge right and pushing against the body and I have not been able to open the hood. Did I see photos? Yes. Did I see these problems? No. It is as though I was looking at a completely different vehicle. I saved 17,000 cash and paid in good faith to this company and they won't answer my calls to ask about all of these things. The Honda dealership called yesterday to asked about the their refund policy and they said that there is "no refund and all sales are as is." I spoke with Corey on Saturday and he said that he would bring all of these concerns to the general manager but I have called without anyone answering and no one will call me back. Before they received my payment, Mark or the other sales managers answered the phone EVERY time. I never had to leave a message. Additionally, after they received payment for a damaged car ( which I was told emphatically that they do not buy and resale wrecked cars) that there was a delay to deliver because of all of the drivers were being deported due to them being illegal aliens, BUT for 200 dollars more he will see if he can find another company that can deliver the car to Colorado, after I paid Carizona 800.00 already. This is on text. I said that this just does not seem right. Do you mean there isn't one bonified driver with a valid license in Mesa Az that can deliver the car? That is when I should have asked for my hard earned money back. The car was delivered last Friday by an illegal alien after all. Now, I have a damaged car that I have garaged until it can be fully inspected by the highly reputable Honda dealership this Friday. I am concerned for safety issues after being lied to during several conversations with the sales management at Carizona that what is under the hood and the body of this vehicle is NOT what I was led to believe that I was buying. This has to be a different vehicle from what I was led to believe I purchased. If anyone is reading this who can help me, please get in touch asap. Unfortunate; Do Not Buy. Spent 7 HOURS here with my dad to purchase my first ever car. Was excited and happy to see the carfax checked out. +Never rush. Even though I was there for 7hours there's plenty that I should of done and regret now. +ASK QUESTIONS! Take that extra step & cash to do a diagnotistic at a different shop. It's been barely 40 days later.. Start up needed to be replaced, constant engine maintenance is beginning to be required (spark plugs burnt out, 4th one broken in place so that means EXTRA $$ to fix), MULTIPLE securement bolts found to be MISSING from gasket underneath engine cover. Called to see if they can honor a well respected purchase and customer but was easily brushed off my both head of garage and sales representative. Asked to acquire any additional information about service car had received prior to being on the lot and was declined, told it was confidential. I had dropped it off at a local shop and the head of garage said that was "unfair" to them and that I should've just brought it to them first. The words used were "We're not lying or anything", that didn't sit right. To each their own. As a customer and honest buyer, I do not recommend doing any business with this dealership.
