I showed up unannounced with a serious issue (ignition switch failure) ... I could not shut the car off (as I would have remained stranded wherever I'd parked it). I pled my case to the owner and he said they were booked but would get to it later in the week with a diagnosis. I could tell they were familiar with the usual issues and I left confident. It turned out to be relatively simple. They expedited the repair on my car and it was, in fact, completed _before_ I'd even managed to make it back home. Same day. Additionally, as I had disassembled most of the steering column in search of a resolution, the shop charged approximately .10 of a billable hour of labor. I thought it was a typo. Not a billable hour or half-hour of labor but about .10 of an hour. Additionally, they retained the original defective part and provided it upon my return. If you have a "vintage" BMW of any sort (or modern, for that matter) do not hesitate to contact this shop.

When the dreaded red triangle of death appeared on my hybrid, I first called the dealer. The receptionist was clueless and wouldn't even let me speak to a service advisor at the Gilbert & Pecos location. I was told my only option was a a $98 diagnostic fee. Then I called APA and spoke with Drew. He explained that their diagnostic fee was similar, but more importantly, walked me through a few things they would try before even going that route. The diagnostic would be a last resort. That alone made a huge difference. When I dropped the car off, he offered me a ride home. I declined and stayed nearby, but the gesture stood out. When I checked back in later, they told me the issue was something super minor - and they fixed it for under $60. Had I gone with that Toyota dealer, I would have paid the diagnostic fee, and who knows what they would have charged for the remedy. Always always read reviews...The Toyota Dealer off Gilbert Road, has reviews showing concerns about repair practices & pricing. Matt asked for my keys, saying his manager needed to drive my vehicle as part of the appraisal. I watched the manager get in, sit for a moment, and get out without ever driving it. This was misleading and left me without my keys during an interaction that quickly became uncomfortable. After receiving the appraisal offer, I said I would review it and follow up later. Instead of respecting that, Matt repeatedly pressured me for immediate feedback. When I explained that several numbers were significantly off, he kept pushing and told me to "be straight forward," even though I already was. He then added that he "wouldn't have come in on his day off" if he didn't want to make a deal -- an unnecessary and unprofessional comment. When I folded the offer sheet to put it in my purse, he said, "Give that to me," and snatched the paper out of my hand before I could even ask if I could take a photo. At that point, I still didn't have my keys, which had been taken under false pretenses. I had to ask the receptionist to retrieve my keys because I wanted to leave immediately. Matt came out with them, and I told him directly that his behavior was unacceptable. I left right after. This dealership treated me as though I was making a trivial purchase, not considering a vehicle worth over $60,000.
