This has to be one of the most hopeless Pep Boys in the Valley. I went in for a nail in the tire they sold me and they didn't even bother to re-fill the tire with air or check it. On top of that they didn't even put in the original LUGNUT. I noticed a few hours later after I had picked up the car. I was driving with 4 lug nuts instead of 5 because they had lost one. They also lost two lug nut caps on top of that when they rotated my tires. Bad management, bad communication, bad attn to detail. You meet with the morning guy (Bob) and then the afternoon guy (and manager - Brandon) fails to explain anything and has NO idea what was done. No checks and balances, no process, and no regard for customers. The worst run shop I've ever seen. Not going back. On top of that, the first time I purchased tires here, I filled out a credit app figuring I would use that to purchase the tires. Everything was approved and they ended up charging my credit card anyway - and then couldn't refund that to open the approved credit line - costing me a few points on my excellent score. The most hapless and pathetic bunch of keystone cops I've ever seen. I would stay WAY away from here. I am also informing corporate that this location is the WORST run location I've ever experienced. My wife took her car here for an oil change. When she got it back, they asked if she wanted them to replace the engine air filter. In other cases this could make sense except she has a K&N reusable filter that just needed to be cleaned and re-oiled. They didn't even mention it as an option. Because of that, I feel as if they were trying to take advantage of her, and I would advise others to be cautious with them. Additionally, the techs must've been very sloppy because there was spilt oil all over the oil intake area. I've been to this shop before and it was ok but this made me doubt their trustworthiness with more complicated matters that I wouldn't know how to catch. read more

don't ever use their online scheduling system. I made an appointment early this morning for today at 4. All day long I was content thinking I've got this pesky oil change I have no time for during the week. Silly me. Just because their system scheduled me and I got a confirmation email doesn't mean I actually have an appointment. They called me after 3pm to tell me they're too busy for me to get my car serviced today. I was perplexed. Especially when the service manager told me took offense to me saying it's shitty customer service since he doesn't really have control over it. Huh? Yeah. You heard it correctly. He has no control. Of course I asked why it took him ALL the way to figure out he didn't have room to get my oil done today at 4, a full hour before they close. His answer? The system shouldn't have let you make this morning. Ok. That makes even less sense. Guess it's past time I look for somewhere else to patronize with my business. Update- to add insult to injury, I got an email from them saying sorry I missed my appointment and encouraging me to reschedule. Can't make this stuff up. It's hilarious and yet one more reason not to do with business with them. read more

HORRRRRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I've been coming for awhile and recently they have been so horrible! I called and de an appointment a day in advance. On the phone making the appointment the guy kept laughing and talking to other people while I was trying to set up an appointment (very unprofessional). Then when I got here for the appointment, they said they didn't have an appointment set up. That sent me over the edge. Then they finally get me in and say it'll take 45 minutes to an hour, it's been over an hour and a half, they "accidentally" put full synthetic which then charged me 40$ over what I normally pay. This whole experience has been a complete shit show and they need new management. Do not come here! read more

After driving my car over yesterday afternoon for a simple oils change I was told "I only have one tec today I doubt I can fit you in, I replied that's fine I don't need the car till this time tomorrow is that possible. Mariel reply's absolutely. Aprox 24 hours later I call to pick the car up and I'm told " i only have one tec & your job can not be complete today, possible tomorrow. I then asked how a simple oil change takes over 24 hours and was again told "I only have 1 tech". I then arrive to pick up my car and ZERO cars are parked in the car bays and all associates are inside. After asking for the corporations phone number SUDDENLY the tec is finished and caught up and can do my work now. Never as I told they were sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. This is still customer service & a simple "I'm sorry I made a mistake" goes a LONG way! read more

I used to take my car here for everything because it was convenient. However, my last few oil change visits and odd repairs left me disappointed and frankly, disrespected. Most recently, I took my car in because it was grinding when I went to start it and because Pep Boys forgot to turn the maintenance required light off when I brought it for an oil change the last time. They told me that they were "pretty sure it's my starter" but it would be $250 to look into. This felt a little fishy to me so I decided to take my car to get a second opinion. I also left with my maintenance light still on because they forgot, again. At another shop they were able to look at my car for 5 minutes and know for certain it was the starter. They were also able to fix it for nearly $300 less than Pep Boys quoted me (for the exact same part), not to mention I didn't have to pay a ridiculous fee for them to look at it. I would never recommend taking your car here. If you want a mechanic who will give you the time of day to discuss your vehicle, do the repairs your car needs, and save a ton of money - go elsewhere. read more

Regret going there since day 1 and it's day 14 now. the Customer Service was not only horrible, it's Insulting! There seems to be a systemic issue all the way up the chain ... they lost hubcaps, the car was a MESS. I requested parts back never got them, (oh they forgot.) each day they needed another part , wrong parts , no communication and 5 days for a break Job! 9 days and counting to hear from anyone up the Customer Support chain. Bad service. I walked into the location. I was not greeted. One person was helping a customer and the other was typing on the computer. Two male customers entered after me (a minute or two). The individual at the computer said to them, I'll be right with you. I needed an oil change, they quoted 45mins-60mins. I received a texted message saying I could follow along with my service. The status was never updated via the link. When I went to the counter to request an update at the 60 minute mark. The attendant was rude, said "your car is back there, your car is back there, we don't update the status". Ultimate my car was ready after a hour and 20mins. I went to get new tires from them around 10am. Looking for 3 new tires, he said I would be able to get a promotion if I bought 4. I agreed and gave him my keys he said it would be a couple of hours to get to it as he was the only guy working that day and they're were some cars in front of me. I asked if I could bring it back after 1pm and have it serviced then, he agreed and I brought it back around 1:30. When I got there, there wasn't anyone at the front desk for about 20 minutes, I had to go though the employees only door and yelled out "hello?" Finally the same man came around and I gave him my keys. I tracked the progress via they're texting service and the estimated time for it to be done was 5:45. I ended up coming back at 5:30 as they close at 6pm and my car was still in the same parking spot and hadn't been serviced. I went looking for the one guy working that day and he said he couldn't get it. A phone call, an update to let me know would have been nice as I wasted my day waiting around for something that never happened. I took my keys from him, he wasn't apologetic, turned around and walked away without any explanation or how to resolve the situation. Horrible customer service. I went to discount tire the next morning and was seen and taken care of with great customer service in a timely manner. So they sold me another battery only to find out there was nothing wrong with my original battery and that there was something else wrong with my car. These guys aren't qualified to work on foreign vehicles so don't bother going here. I ended up keeping the new battery and getting my money back. So after my recent review, I was contacted by Pep Boys and they wanted to make things right. I talked to the store manager, Gail, who assured me she would take care of my car. I brought the car in and was told the reason for my car's issues was due to the wear on the tires. I drive over 50 miles per day so was aware that they were likely worn. Funny thing is I did mention this upon bringing in the car for the oil change last week. Having said that, Gail gave me what I felt was a decent price for the tires. I felt much better about dealing with Pep Boys as a result of dealing with Gail. I will definitely give them another chance next time my car is in need of service. read more

My 63 year old mother brought her car in for a check engine light, she has work done and in less than a year, the same issue occurred again. She brought the car back, had the work done again (same recommendation from the mechanic), paying again for the repair. Two weeks later, the same check engine light was on and they offered to do the repair for the 3rd time, however in the mechanic's notes, they did not notate enough information for the following mechanics to know which parts were replaced and worked on. There were no receipt notes about why repairs were made. There were no notes on recommendations. When my mother drove her car for the 3rd time, the check engine light came back on by the time she arrived home. She also had a transmission light on that was never on before, she took a photo on this day. The mechanic told her "it would go off on its own." After a 4th time, Pep Boys said she needed a new engine and offered to purchase her car and sell her another used car if she could not afford a new engine. This seems deceptive and a case of mechanical negligence. We have taken the car to another repair shop for a second opinion and had them look at the notes/receipts given to us, they agreed the information and repairs my mother paid for were misleading and there was a lack of information, a faulty repair and mechanical negligence. She spent over $1200+ on repairs and the issue is not resolved. I do not recommend going here and to always get a second opinion. read more

I am so grateful I randomly decided to get my car towed to this location! I had never been to any Pep Boys locations & honestly had never heard of the company before, but from now on I will always be taking my car to this specific location for any maintenance. As a young woman it can feel super intimidating to handle any car related problems alone & the service at this location made me feel safe, informed & well taken care of. I've now had my car towed here two times in the past 3 months due to unfortunate circumstances, but Steve & his crew have made the entire process as easy, quick & enjoyable as possible! They kept me fully updated throughout my services & actually explained to me why / what exactly went wrong. They all do an outstanding job & work extremely hard to help people like me everyday. They left oil stains on my seat, like come on if you're gonna charge me $60 for an oil change then you can at least put a towel on my seat when you get in my car. Also, that was after they gave me a generous $20 discount cuz I'm a first time customer. Homie, I drive a Honda Civic and the price is $80!! HAH biggest joke of 2019 I've ever heard! This place of business is nothing short of absolute garbage. I've been giving this place business for the past 2 1/2 to 3 years. I even used to bring in free food coupons to whoever was working when I came in. I'm not sure why I even go out of my way. The past 6 times I have asked if I can get a tired filled up since my tire pressure light is on. 5 times out of the 6 they have told me it will be over an hour wait. This very last time today I was told 20 minutes. Mind you there is not one customer around. I'm not valued as a customer because whenever I go somewhere else it takes seconds to fill up a tire. I got there two hours before closing on Saturday but they couldn't help me because they were booked with only two techs and booked and Sunday was not an option because they are closed on Sundays which is odd considering all the Pep Boys I know of are open Sundays. Technicians are nice and knowledgeable. Front office staff is difficult to work with. Took my truck in that had a slow leak in one tire to have it looked at. Left my truck and walked to work. I called 3 hours later to check in, and got hung up on (I think he was trying to put me on hold). Waited several minutes for them to call me back, and eventually called them. Was told I needed 2 new tires, and quoted a price. Hung up, and talked to a coworker who mentioned just taking the spare and putting it on, and then only buying 1 new tire. Called back, and the front office person couldn't understand what I wanted, despite trying to explain it several times in different ways. Decided I should stop in to make sure they understood and to get it right. Front desk guy still didn't get what I wanted, so we talked to the tech. He immediately got what I wanted and said that was doable. Back inside the guy tried to ring me up 2 new tires, despite the fact that I was only getting 1. When I mentioned that, I was told he didn't know how to change the amount in the system. I had to walk him through how to use his own system! Then he went to try and figure out if that was the correct tire, and spent over thirty minutes going back and forth between desk and shop and technician. I spoke with the tech, and he said he knew what I needed, and would get it done. I left to go back to work. At around 5, I called to see if the work was done and was told it was. Not sure why they couldn't call me?!?! Went in to pay, and there were more delays/issues! The front desk person needs to be replaced or trained better. Tech was good though. Won't be coming back to this location, despite it being close to my work and convenient. read more
