The absolute worst place to go. The manager was extremely rude and spoke to me with such disrespect it was almost like I was inconveniencing him by being there, even though them servicing my truck is what pays their bills and employees. He was dismissive and rude about every question I asked - I had never experienced a grown man treating a young woman that way when asking questions about cars/trucks. I encourage any woman who's alone to not come here because they will treat you like an inconvenience. I asked for my keys back and took my truck down the road to a much much nicer place and they let me ask as many questions as I wanted to and made me feel so comfortable (and it was way cheaper). Tony's had my review removed so i wanted to make sure to leave another one. I had my girlfriend drop my truck off here for an oil change and she was treated extremely poorly. The manager Micheal was rude when she simply asked about pricing and was very stand offish when asking other questions. I would never recommend this business due to their very rude attitudes and unprofessional behavior. I was even direct messaged about this incident by one of the owners and he outright lied about the interaction. Tony's charged me $730 for a single ignition coil on a Scion TC, this is a cheap car and I'm a young man and they wanted another $3000 to put a new cat on. Oh don't forget the battery tie down! $17, and a "$250" ignition coil. This is extremely questionable and I would stay away unless you have cash to throw away. the work they did do was fine, nothing anyone couldn't do anyways. Battery tie down and coil over. $730. I'm wrong for paying it, they're wrong for charging it. No question. This place is a HUGE scam on the people. STAY AWAY. All the work done to my car I could've done myself in 20min and a scan tool from auto zone. $120 to clear a code. This place is sucking people dry with zero morality about it. I recently was in Phoenix for a quick visit and my car had low tire pressure, so I stopped through here to fill my tires before heading back for the long drive to LA. I didn't have an appointment, but figured I would ask if they had any availability to also do an oil change, since I knew I'd be needing one soon. I normally dread going to any kind of automotive repair shop because I fully expect them to try to rip me off any way that I can, but I could not have had a better experience. I explained what I needed to Scott and he made sure to have someone fill my tires immediately and even though they didn't have time to change my oil in that moment, he made sure to have them check to see how my levels were doing before I left. While I was waiting for them to put air in the tires, he struck up friendly conversation, gave me tips about not having too much weight on my key chain (and gave me a free carabiner), and had me try some of his pickled garlic cloves when we started talking about food. He had absolutely no incentive to be this kind to me, knowing I didn't live in the area - it was purely just his generosity and authentic kindness. I WISH this place was in Los Angeles! I'm seriously considering driving to Phoenix every time I need something for my car since it was such a notably great experience. The office has a ton of awards hanging up and they are well deserved! Great staff and great service! Amazing shop. Cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you for your kindness - I will remember this experience for a very long time. read more

TL/DR: Good quality service, but very expensive - may want to shop around if you are at all concerned about getting a better deal for similar quality service. When I first moved to this area I went to this location a couple times and received good, albeit pricey service. At the time cash was tight so for a few of my issues I opted to shop around and get the work done elsewhere. Now after about two years of not having gone to Tony's, and now with a better paying job, I decided to give them another chance. I knew there would be a premium compared to other auto repair shops - but I was thinking more like 20-30% higher than their competitors (which I was willing to pay to try them once more). Unfortunately, the total came out to about 50-75% more than other places were quoting me at. I am kicking myself for not trying to call and shop around beforehand, so that's on me. I also was fairly confident regarding what work I needed to get done, so I should have first asked about the diagnostic cost, and insisted that I didn't need to drive around for 5minutes (at a cost of almost $70) to "diagnose" what I already pretty much knew to be the issue. My other main disappointment is in the fact that I had an old coupon/"check" from them that had been mailed to me, and I asked about it on the phone before going in to see if they would honor it even though it was expired. My impression was that they would still take it, in addition to their online coupons (since my old coupon had no stipulations about additional coupons), but when I went in to pay my bill I was told it was too old. It was a year old, so I get that somewhat, but still frustrating given that I decided to go back to them in large part with the understanding that I would be able to use it still. I have never written a review for any company before, and I do not want to unfairly bash them. I think they do good work, and are not dishonest, but I definitely wish I had shopped around. There are other very good, very reputable auto repair shops in the area that are not almost double the price of their competitors. My partner had a very good experience at Cary's auto service - so suffice it to say, I will be going there for any future repair needs I may have. Just learn from me, and do your due diligence beforehand, and get clarity about diagnosing costs and coupon acceptance as I should have done. Oh well. Lessons learned. read more

Diagnosed the problem called with estimate plus reviewed inspection completed and identified a safety issue. Gave me an estimate. Not inexpensive but fair and completed the job with no surprises. I decided to call this place on a whim, as I had driven by numerous times, on the off chance that they would be able to work on my car. I have a Lincoln from the 1970s, and have had a difficult time finding a reputable place to work on it. Spoke with one of their employees and described the situation, and they responded "Oh yeah we can work on that no problem." Got me in within a few days, did the repair to the fuel system as well as a courtesy inspection. Car was ready in one day. They were absolutely NOT pushy regarding further investigation or repairs apart from what the car was brought in for. Car now runs much more reliably, and Tony's has earned a customer.
