I believe that they will try to charge you as much as they can like you're an ATM machine but they like to withdraw as much as they can out of you and maybe that's because they're poorly managed or maybe that's because they are incompetent or possibly it's because they're in a lot of debt and now they have to make bad business dealings to make up for past bad business mistakes, whatever the case is, I was able to figure it out myself and my car AC is cold as ice thanks to my own research. Now i dont have to work 300 hours and pay them for something that did not need to be done. Praise God!

He called me from the dealership and said the car presented well, except the oil was only half full. He said he would not test drive the car, fearing he would damage it, and he would contact me with the report later. I was caught off guard. What did he mean half full? I looked up the engine, and it holds 6 1/2 quarts of oil, did it only have 3 1/4 quarts, or was the oil only 1/2 way to full mark on the dipstick? The next day, he emailed me a picture of a one-page report that he had taken with his cell phone that was illegible. I replied back that it was illegible and asked that he scan it and email it to me. On 2-7 I emailed him I needed the report he emailed me back and said he would send it the next day with some photos. Keep in mind, time is of the essence with a prepurchase inspection. I had recently lost out on two other vehicles because someone got them before me. On 2-8 he emailed me that his report is verbal and he would work on the report over the weekend, he did send me some photos. On 2-9 I emailed Bill that I had to make my buying decision w/o his report. It had been 5 days and I was afraid of loosing another car. At this point I had, no contract or invoice, no report, He did not test drive the vehicle which was part of our agreement. What I received for my $250 were some photos and a verbal statement that the car was nice and a verbal warning that the oil was half full. I requested a refund. He replied no refund and suggested I read his yelp profile, that his reports are verbal (this was never stated up front) and sure enough at the end of his profile it states, reports are verbal. I have never heard of such a thing. I do not know anyone who would order a pre purchase inspection and not want a written report. If you want a written report with your prepurchase inspection you need to look elsewhere.

He was my eyes, ears and nose! Yes, nose! I always have to ask a potential inspector if they smoke, because I need a non-smoker to first smell the car and let me know if it smells of smoke or cologne or air-freshener. If it does, I simply pay them their full fee and thank them for their time and they can go home. If it does not smell, the next step is to take good, clear photos of any flaws they see. Bill did a great job of that. I eventually decided not to buy the car. So why did I pay Bill to inspect a car I later decided not to buy? That is the nature of buying remotely. it would have cost me an entire day and hundreds of dollars to fly to and from Arizona to see it for myself. See my attached pictures. Bill found some issues, and some I found after I zoomed in on his clear pictures. Every once in awhile you can find a car remotely that is just a creampuff. This one was close-ish, but not close enough. I decided to keep shopping, thanks to Bill's advocacy for me.

This is my review on Google, and owner Charles Laursen's response…read more Very disappointing and highly NOT RECOMMENDED if you actually expect a business to honor appointment times for quoted work. My review: I generally exercise great restraint before leaving a negative review, but in this case, believe that it is necessary. I had a 6:00 am Saturday appointment for rear suspension work. On Thursday of that week, Charles sent me a text stating that he could do the job at 6:00 am on Friday instead. See photo confirmation of appointment. I showed up promptly at 6:00 am with my son, and my wife followed in our other car to pick us up. I told Charles to call me when he was finished with the job, because I might have him do another 4 hour job on the car if everything went smoothly. I called at 10:00 am to check the status, and Charles told me that he hadn't even started work on my car because he had another car in front of me. I then started wondering why he set a 6:00 am appointment when he couldn't start working on my car until much later. Meanwhile, I'm stuck at home, with no means of transportation since my wife had things to do. I called and texted him again at 2:45 pm asking for an update, so that my wife could arrange to drop me off for the pickup. I received no response. When I finally got him on the phone at 3:56 pm, he told me that he hadn't gotten started and still had another car in front of me. That was the final straw for me, and I told him I would be down there immediately to pick up my car. When I asked him why he set early appointments for more than one car, he told me that he has to do this because many people don't show for their appointments. That is unacceptable to me because if I had known this in advance, I would have gone somewhere else instead of wasting a day of my life. In the interest of full disclosure, I told Charles that I would be leaving this review, and wanted him to respond with the promise that he will never do this to another customer ever again. I suggested that he require a non-refundable deposit to guarantee that people show up for their appointments, as I would have gladly provided one. Charles is a very nice man, and might be an excellent mechanic, but if appointment times are simply for dropping the car off, rather than the start time of actual work, he should tell people that in advance. Owner's response: I appreciate the personal gesture, however if you think that every shop works on your vehicle the second you drop it off, your very mistaken! Sometimes, depending on the jobs and times of years, I have vehicles for weeks! Motor builds, waiting on parts, etc.... So if you wasted your whole day when I told you that I could still get to it today, Sir, that's on you! Most people drop off the car and the shop gets to it when they get to it! Your just extremely impatient! Plus, no shop likes customers that call every hour for updates! My scheduling app works awesome FYI, all of my other customers like it. Just because you think the world revolves around you, doesn't mean it does! So thank you for leaving a review on my processes and not mechanical skills. 1 star for nothing!
