Just stopped in to drop off several rechargeable small Li-ION (4) and 1 NiMh batteries along with a rechargeable B&D screwdriver. The clerk accepted the screwdriver (because it could be "refurbished" and resold), but would not accept the others without me paying a minimum $2.00/pound recycle fee. Really? I purchased a lifetime watch battery replacement from Batteries Plus on Scottsdale Road and had the battery replaced several times at different locations. The last battery replacement was at the Indian School loaction. There was damage done to the case of the watch by the technician trying to open the back. I asked that the case be replaced but after several months of communication with the district manager phoenix area, nothing was done. I asked and received a refund of the purchase price for the lifetime watch battery replacement I purchased. read more

Imagine you get up early and find that your key fob is so weak it will barely open your car door. Imagine you are out running errands and a quick Google search delivers the result that Batteries Plus is open at 8am - perfect since you were just driving by. Imagine that you pull in and park, walk inside and two friendly staff members greet you and ask how they can help. So you hand over your key fob and tell them you need a new battery. Lickety split, they install a new battery, hand you back your key fob. They ask for your phone number, and find you in the system. And as you insert your credit card, they say, "There is no charge because we see you bought the battery here and it's under warranty." Are you kidding, that must have been a year ago? Where am I? Worst customer service. Two weeks ago we replaced the key fob and the fob battery for our truck. It was in working condition for about a week when we noticed the key fob plastic started breaking. We went to the store yesterday to get it replaced and was told by Sam after he broke some of it off of the fob that there was nothing he could do to replace it and to come back in the morning and speak with Carlos. My husband went this morning to get it replaced and Carlos the general manager not only refused to replace it, slammed the keys including the fob down on the counter breaking it making it unable to use at all, cursed my husband out, and kicked him out of the store! When calling the corporate office to report the manager and incident we were told that they would contact the store and the manager Carlos would give us a call back....the same guy that broke our fob and cursed and yelled at my husband!!! What kind of business is this?!?! We deserve a replacement and an apology. At all costs stay away from this place! read more

I need hard to find batteries for my business but they are pretty expensive ($275/battery) and they deteriorate pretty quickly so no one wants to carry very many of them. Do not go to this place. Was told my key replacement would take 20 minutes. Later that day they told me it would be ready Monday after 3. I call Monday at 3:30, they tell me it's not going to be there until Thursday. The manager there said they could have it to me on Tuesday at 11 though for my troubles. I go down to pick it up, and it's not done the way they said it would be done (not attached to my key fob as first described). It also wasn't programmed appropriately. I missed work because they had the only key to my car, and never once initiated contact to let me know timeframes had changed. I submitted a complaint to the BBB and they never responded. Very disappointed! I booked an appointment using their online scheduler, drove 15 minutes to get there, and was told that their tech had gone to lunch (at 3 PM??) and i had to wait an hour for a fix. Absolutely awful service. I recently came to this location to repair my broken screen on my iPhone. Although they did replace my screen, in the process they cut the wires to my home button, so it no longer has any function. When I asked how such a huge mistake could have been made, the manager had no insight whatsoever. Of course I explained that I should not need to pay the normal fee of $120 for such a failed repair, yet the manager refused to refund me or offer any sort of discount. thankfully I was able to dispute the charge on my credit card. If all that wasn't enough, the screen they gave me is barely functionally, constantly spazzing out my phone and ghost touching everywhere. The phone currently is almost impossible to use, so instead of getting a relatively cheap glass replacement, I am needing to get a new iPhone. If you are looking for an affordable iPhone repair, please avoid this place for your own sake! read more
