These guys are amazing & very professional. I called in for my daughter's iPad that had a headphone jack socket issue (pin broke and was stuck). I didn't have apple care and the iPad was barely 4 months new, they fixed it in 5 mins(they have proper tools) and didn't charge me a penny. Other places I called wanted $50-$95 & were up seling me for a total port replacement. On calling them- they asked me to come in and said they'll take a look and would fix if it's possible 'free of cost' only if it's doable with the tools they had. Brought my phone in for a new battery. Returned to pick it up and they handed me a phone that didn't work at all. According to the "tech", the screen cracked when they disassembled it due to corrosion from being exposed to moisture, so essentially they broke my phone. Whether or not their story is true, or if they just broke it and didn't want to accept responsibility, well I guess that's a question that only them and the Lord knows the answer to. Interestingly, for just an extra $100, I could buy a new screen and replace the one that they broke. Anyway, this was at 7 pm and I needed the phone for work the next morning so going out and getting a new phone wasn't really an option. I guess they know they got you in a pickle. I'll give them two stars seeing as the tech did seem to genuinely feel bad and threw in a "free" screen protector to make up for it. Next time, go to Apple or BestBuy or at least somewhere that doesn't engage in shady business practices and will stand behind their work. read more

Made an online claim to fix my ASUS ROG Ally and took it into the shop here and was told that my claim couldn't be found in their system but it took my 100$ .... They refunded me and told me to make another claim??..... I don't have time for back and forth games . If their system could take my money they could have taken my asus then and there FOR FREE . or they should have taken my asus to fix it and I pay them whenever the refund comes back onto my account. I am writing to file a complaint regarding my repair experience at your uBreakiFix by Asurion location at 1645 E Camelback Rd Suite 104, Phoenix, AZ 85016. I brought my laptop in for internal cleaning, diagnosis, and fan replacement due to abnormal fan noise. After receiving my device, I immediately observed that a rear case screw (middle-left of four aligned screws) was missing and that a physical protrusion/deformation is now present on the chassis that did not exist prior to service. Both conditions are new and were not present when I dropped off the laptop. After I reported the missing screw, the assigned technician took my laptop into the back for approximately 10-15 minutes and then returned, stating that the screw had already been missing when I dropped off the device. This statement is false. I have dated photographs taken before service that clearly show the screw intact and the chassis undamaged. After I informed him that I had photographic proof and showed it to him, he again took my laptop into the back. When he returned, I saw that the remaining screws had been rearranged. The missing screw position had been moved from the middle-left to the far-left. I did not understand why they did this. He then stated that they "could not find the screw" and that unless I left my laptop at the store again, nothing would be done. When I asked why the device would need to be retained merely to identify or replace a manufacturer-standard screw, despite the brand and model already being documented, I was told that "without the laptop, we cannot find the correct screw." This response was not credible and reasonable, as they had all the necessary information. During this interaction, the technician raised his voice and then walked away to assist other customers. The store's security cameras will record the contradiction between his initial false statement and his later attempt to "solve" the issue. Eventually, another employee took my device into the back again. After further waiting, my laptop was returned with a non-original black screw installed that does not match the original silver hardware. Due to the excessive time already spent and my urgent need for my device, I reluctantly accepted the laptop and left. For completeness and fairness, I would also like to note that I do not have photographs of the employee named Breanna (or the female employee who was in the back speaking with the technician), as she remained in the back area throughout the interaction and was not visible to customers. Had a bad feeling when I walked in. Back on 12/8 brought in a PS4Pro that was in storage and had a bad HDMI input. After back and forth for a month that it took them to actually ship it to where the work is actually done, I get a call that they will not work on the machine due to 'bugs' and OSHA regulations and that I have until end of day to pick up the machine or it gets 'recycled'. When pressed, the rep automatically said,'we don't sell machines' But you 'recycle' Okay. Oh and their sign up program to cover your electronics, READ THE CONTRACT!!! I took my iPhone 13 Pro to have the cracked screen replaced. Going in my battery life was perfect. Battery lasted from 5:30 am until bedtime at 9:00pm. The moment they replaced my screen. Life of the battery went from lasting over 15 hours to during by 10:30 am. Now I have to charge my phone multiple times a day. I have no way of knowing if they took my good battery out or what the heck happened while my phone was in their care. Not to mention I had called beforehand to see how long it would take for my phone to be fixed. I was told 1-1/2 hours. Once I checked my phone, the guy told me to come back in 5 hours. It only took me 5 minutes it's to get there. I should have just canceled the service and left. read more

My son dropped off his computer on October 13, 19 days ago today. He was told it would take five days to fix. He is only 14 so I'm not sure if they just thought they could take advantage of him because he's a kid, but he didn't hear anything from them for the whole five days after that Any time he would call, he was two more days. Finally at the 2 week mark, I called. I was told that it was next in line on the manager, Steven's, desk to be fixed. We heard nothing for four more days after this, which was two days longer than they said it would take. Once again, I had to reach out to them, now they are telling me that there is no sign of life from the computer and that it won't power on. When my son dropped it off, the computer would power on, and they told him that it was just an operating system issue that they could fix. I don't know what they did to his computer in the almost 3 weeks they had it, but clearly whatever they did, took a functioning computer to a non-functioning computer. Devon, one of the employees hung up on me after being incredibly rude over a computer they broke. Steven , the manager who is supposed to be fixing it has not said a word to us about it even though, as of Sunday, he knew we were upset. Out of all the ridiculousness of the situation, the most mind blowing part to me is that I had to call tonight to find out that the computer was "unfixable" instead of them reaching out to us. Oh, and to top it all off they are telling me that my son told them the computer wouldnt power on but I know for a fact the computer was powering on and that my son told them exactly what the issue was. So not only are we dealing with incompetence and negligence, we are also dealing with a company that just lies. Additionally, when I asked for the corporate number, they gave me the wrong phone number, and I had to look up the correct phone number myself, which just goes in line with them being liars so I guess no surprise there. read more

The person up front was unhelpful, told that "the spart was not available and likely wouldnt be available", was completely disinterested in helping me find a different store with the part and told me samsung careplus would be able to find a different store with parts, and that he couldn't help me. Quickly dismissed me and walked back into the store. I of course, called some other ubreakifix stores around the valley who were extremely helpful over the phone and were easily able to check other stores and order the part. This type of laziness and lack of interest on the stores part made my experience terrible with them and I will not be coming back. read more

We needed to get our device fixed but they can't even notify me that they weren't going to be able to honor the scheduled time. Open sign is off, door is locked and no one is here. My phone needs a new battery. Because these people make it very hard (almost impossible) to text or call them, I made an appointment via their app/site. I showed up and was told (a) they don't have the part (battery) and would have to order it and (b) because they might have to remove the screen to install the battery, they are responsible for any damage. From what I saw on several YouTube demos, the battery on this phone is installed from the back, not the screen. Anyway, they clearly don't want to talk to you and would rather inconvenience you than communicate anything in advance. They're a pain in the butt. Waste of time. Avoid them. read more

Took my ps5 to get fixed and they denied repair because apparently they suspected that it had Liquid Metal damage even though they didn't even bother to open it up and check it out. The guy was very rude and told me there was no possible way of fixing it and that I would be better off throwing it away. I then took it to we fix you play and the guy was very nice and said there was a short in the motherboard and that he would be able to fix it. I came here to have the back of my iPhone fixed due to me dropping and cracking it. I chose to use this company because the price was significantly cheaper than going through Apple and they assured me they could make the repair. They replaced the back of my phone but I then noticed my flash no longer worked. They informed me this was a common issue that occurred after the back was replaced and fixed it for me for free. I then noticed my camera would no longer focus and my ear speaker no longer worked when taking phone calls. They were able to fix the camera issue they caused but couldn't fix the speaker issue. They then swapped my phone for a training phone they already had. I was first told that the training phone had no work done to it, but after asking more questions it was disclosed they had worked on it and replaced the front screen. They assured me they would transfer everything from my now broken phone over to this training phone. When I went in to get my phone after the transfer, then man working was very rude and practically rushed me out of the store before I could even verify everything had transferred. This transfer was not smooth and most of the things on my phone did not transfer over. When I called the store to tell the rude man I'd just gotten my phone back from that the transfer didn't work, he had no explanation. For all of these issues I was told I would be given a phone case and a screen protector. I have never received the phone case. Ultimately I paid them money to break my phone, then give me a used phone they had been practicing repairs on after they already proved to me that they were not capable of correctly completing a repair. This whole ordeal took about 2 weeks to "resolve". I lost my time and my money, and was left dissatisfied by the entire situation. The manager was kind and tried to accommodate me which is the only thing that makes me feel this review deserves even 1 star. Overall I would not recommend that anyone use this company for a phone repair. I have learned my lesson and will now always get AppleCare or will just pay the price at Apple for a repair. read more

Update: I called them today to see what the status was on getting the new screen. They told me it was on the way, so I dropped my phone off, had lunch and came back to pick it up. Seemed like it was working, but the tech told me that they found water damage, which would normally mean they would charge me for the screen repair. However, they said they would not charge me, but the water damage meant there was no warranty on the screen repair. How did they find water damage all of the sudden, when there was no water damage found when replacing the battery and no water damage found when they looked at the screen for repairs? Seems to me they just did not want to give me a warranty for what was broken during their initial repair. I will not be using them again, ever. read more

Took in my laptop to have the screen replaced, I was never called to be given updates..once the part came in my laptop was "fixed" but they made damages "on accident" the technician scratched my laptop and offered me $30 off. It had been a month since I dropped off my laptop so I accepted the so called discount. When I picked up my laptop I tested out features and noticed my camera wasn't working. The technician said he would reinstall software and call me back. Later on I am told my laptop needs to have the camera replaced and wiring (2 components are needed) and I have to pay additional to fix it l.. I argued that my camera was working fine when I took it in, after our argument I was told it would be fixed at no extra cost. One week later I am called to be informed that they no longer have availability to order the part and will not be fixed. Manage named Jesse called me after I asked for assistance, his customer service is awful..he told me they could remove the screen put the old one and give me my computer back if I refused to pay. I told him my computer now was scratched and had a non functioning camera. I didn't want to argue any longer I accepted his so called discount and took my laptop elsewhere. I took it to another shop, they fixed the issue without an hour, my camera did not need to be replaced all it needed was 1 simple wire replaced!!! How can this not have been caught and fixed by your techs???!! You kept my computer for a month! 2 to 3 guys worked on it and none of them could figure out a simple cable issue. Next day i call back and you say you finally have my part, but need TWO MORE HOURS to ring it into inventory. fine. i wait. come in. you take my phone, say you need 2 hrs. i give you 3. am constantly checking email. come back and you tell me you can't fix my device?! because it failed a diagnostic? Go elsewhere, better shops available in the valley. Was quoted a price via phone when scheduling the appointment, then once in the store, was told the price that was 35% higher. They quote and charge taxing of labor, which I believe is against state tax code. They refused to allow me to supervise the intake diagnostics on my phone when they require it to be unlocked, giving them full access to my information and accounts "because the computer they use is in the back of the house". The only alternative they offer is a factory reset which would wipe my phone of all data and the data backed up on the cloud accounts for restoring is limited to core phone data, no app data etc. Allowing a customer to supervise the intake diag that takes ~15 mins according to their district manager is "non-negotiable" - a term I heard 4 times in my very limited conversation with 2 people at this company. Very rigid without meaningful support. Most definitely not solutions oriented, don't stand behind their quotes, and present a scenario during the repair of any device where private and personal data can easily be accessed by any employee with only their verbal word - not even a data protections policy where they would be held accountable for unnecessary data access and/or any data breach. read more

Could NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! First called and spoke with Savanna two weeks before service, I needed a quote write up for phone insurance to replace screen/battery. Helpful, knowledgeable and upbeat, she walked me through the process and laughed with the noisy racket my kids were making in the background. Came in person two weeks later, appreciated the COVID safety protocols (new pens, masks, limit 2 ppl in lobby at a time). Savanna there in person, walked me through details, promised 1 hour turn around and even warned me of potential common problems that could come up with my device later unrelated to the repair (showed how knowledgeable and forthright she was). Called less than hour later, informed me my device had a bigger problem that replacing screen/battery would not fix. She reportedly tried multiple new replacement pieces to make sure. Expressed how she was sorry and insisted on not charging for the time because they were not able to replace the pieces. That is more than customer service, that is customer advocacy. When coming to pickup, CJ was nice enough to bring the device out to my car for me as I had the kids with me. Again, they received no money from me, but treated me like a VIP client. That kind of professionalism, honesty and customer service is a rarity, but has ensured that I will trust this location with my business moving forward. read more

I then get up bright and early, no body showed up. so about 9:30-10 am I call to find out where they are. I was told the appointment was changed due to not having the part. no problem. we changed the appointment to Friday Dec 23...last night I see that in my email it was changed to Christmas Eve. not what I agreed on. so they told me it will be Friday ( today) after all and someone will definitely be here and call. I have used their services at this location to fix several items over the last few years ( an iPod touch, an iPad and a phone for my mom / as well as my own iPhone and an Android device ). I have always been very satisfied with their work, but today they went above and beyond my expectations. I came in thinking that my iPhone 6S screen was cracked, so I gave it to Jessica to inspect in the back repair area. She came back and shows me that only my hard shell screen protector was damaged. A repair that I expected to be at least 100 bucks out the door, instead ends up being the cost of a new screen protector and I have a brand new iPhone all over again. My Samsung S10e, just over a year old, and the battery was bulging popping the screen away from the frame and bulging out the back. My phone warranty expired in October 2020 but because it was a manufacture defect Samsung said it was covered. Bestbuy referred me to U break I fix. This particular day, two employees were minding the store. One of them worked with me and Samsung on the phone for a good part of 2 hours. He wasn't knowledgeable in several areas, however, he did step up to call his support line, another coworker and / or manager. Once all information was gathered and the work order approval from Samsung, I left my phone and was told it would be ready by 7pm. I went back at 6:45, phone not fixed. I was told he couldn't fix it because of the bulging glass that separated from the frame. I don't understand why this wasn't addressed during the L O N G time on the phone with Samsung. Took my phone and called Samsung while sitting in the parking lot. Samsung, "The screen is covered because the battery caused the separation". The following day I called to let Ubreak know that everything is covered. I returned to drop off my phone, 25 minute wait. One person up front, two in the back. Why didn't someone come up front to help? Many customers in the store and it seems Noone cares. Once again, left my phone and several hours later returned to pick up my phone. There were two people in the store, I was asked to wait outside. I did! While waiting outside, a woman walked past me and into the store. She wasn't asked to wait outside. Why?? There was also a dog in the store. Sign on the door, "no dogs". It seems that rules and policies only apply to some. Time doesn't matter to them. It doesn't matter how long customers have to wait. My phone is fixed for which I'm thankful. I wouldn't recommend this location. It is very poorly managed. read more
