Sierra never gave up and finally we were able to get the correct code from Verizon and get my phone set up..During that time, while we were placed on one hold after another, she waited on other customers and never lost her cool. I rely on these reviews, so please know no hate is intended--but I need to suggest you avoid this company. I had a perfectly fine working phone, but after a couple of weeks with a cracked screen, I decided to get it fixed through Sun Cellular. The first screen that Jesse put on somehow disabled the face sensor, so whenever I was on a call the phone would go black (you couldn't use it to hang up or go to speaker or anything.) Jesse tried replacing the screen over and over again, eventually replaced the sensor also. This went on for weeks, at one point my phone was so messed up that I had to keep it off for two days until he could get there with the new part. Eventually, I told him I would need to go to Apple and see if they could fix it. He assured me he would pay for that. Apple looked at my phone and said because of all of the messing around with the phone, they could not guarantee that a new screen from them would now work. They recommended I buy a new phone. Again, Jesse assured me he would reimburse me for what I had paid him. When I followed up with him, he hemmed a little bit because I had not returned the nonworking screen that was currently on my phone-- forgetting, of course that he had not been able to return to me the working, although cracked screen, that he had taken the very first time. Did he want to leave me with a phone with NO screen? Anyway, at the end of the day, I would recommend that if you try this company, you demand that they leave with you your original screen in case you need to have it put back on , I would not believe any promises to pay you back if the screens fail, and if the first screen does not work, I would go straight to Apple. At the end of the day, I am left having to purchase an inferior phone. (they no longer sell the 14 pro so I had to downgrade to the 14) having to pay $250 to Jesse for a screen that only broke my phone, having to buy a new case for my phone since the case for the pro doesn't fit the regular 14, having to pay a new set up fee with my provider, and filling a little less faith in humankind-- as all of his promises to reimburse for the failed screens came to nothing. Every time I text and ask that the reimbursement be sent, he promises to do it right away. However, nothing has ever been sent and it's been over a month and a half. If your screen is cracked, just go to apple! read more

Thanks to the review that Karin R. posted just a few days ago, I decided to give Sun Cellular a shot... I'd been having problems with my tmoblie pearl blackberry for over a week but didn't feel like dealing with tmobile customer service as it can sometimes take hours and I was not feeling so patient. So, I called in first and spoke with Matt... he told me that it sounded like my problem was that I needed a new speaker and that they could probably fix it but wouldn't know for sure unless I brought it in. He also told me that they would not charge me if they could not fix the problem. Deal! Instead of dealing with the people at tmobile and probably spending hours on the phone, I was in and out of Sun Cellular in half an hour. For only $35, it was well worth it! My phone is fixed and it was hassle free! I was even able to catch a few minutes of Oprah on the tv in the shop while I waited! Matt helped me out and I met the owner, Dan, as well... While I waited, several other customers were in and out and I witnessed the excellent customer service Sun Cellular provided. Integrity in business seems to be a foreign concept these days and we have become so conditioned to accept this that when someone comes along and demonstrates good qualities it is weird but refreshing... the microphone on my phone has been acting up lately and I'll be honest, I'm lazy. I asked the guy to Replace it and get it done as soon as possible. Alex shows up to my house, on time??? After calling to let me know he will be there late on Friday night. He tells me the mic prob needs to be replaced but sometimes they just get clogged especially if you work construction like I do and a cleaning might be a much cheaper fix for me. Not once, not twice but 3 separate times Alex disassembled my phone and cleaned both microphones. To discover that the mics were fine, just very very dirty... so this dude came out late on a cold Friday night and spent an hour cleaning my phone for a very, very reasonable 50 $... when he could have easily said the mics needed repaired and jacked up The price on me, how would I have known... and then he left before I could think to Tip him.... My blackberry wouldn't charge due to a loose mini USB port. I had just 2 bars left for power and it's my only phone so sending it out was not an option. It was out of warranty and I don't carry insurance on my phone. I called Sun Cellar and he quoted me a price and a wait time of 20-25min. I looked around at other repair centers and found their quotes to be 2x as much and they didn't have a tech in until the afternoon and told me it would take an hour or more. Dan is 'da Bomb! If you want an HONEST assessment of the extent of your phone repair, and competent, reliable, and fairly priced service, Sun Cellular is the place to go. If you want a pretty picture, a low ball price, then an unpleasant surprise once the other guy has torn your phone down, go somewhere else. Brought a phone in with an oddball part needing replacement, that needed to be ordered. Dan was very specific; he let me know the part was unusual and needed to be ordered from manufacturer, how long it would take to get it, and the cost. I wasn't thrilled with the wait or the cost of the part. I called a few other places, who told me "yeah, we can have that done today (or tomorrow)...", widely varied pricing, all on the low side. I asked them to verify that they had the correct part in, and NONE of them had it, and the cost and the wait time went up with all of them. I can just see it now... you bring the other guys your phone, they tear it down, THEN tell you "oops, gonna hafta wait, cost is higher". Now you're a captive audience, and they have your phone. BAD news! Needless to say, Dan got the phone, and fixed it. He was right on the price, right on the wait time, he knows his business. Labor fees are low. He's got my business for life. Have an iphone 5 ... stopped working out of the blue last summer...no damage...no water...just stopped...black screen...couldn't sign into itunes...wouldn't charge. Bought a new apple charger...still no charge. Took it to apple genius bar. Waited an hour ...they took phone "to the back" and came back 15 min later and said they couldn't do anything to fix...but they could sell me a refurbished iphone 5 for $290! Ya not happening. Took iphone home and googled possible fixes and the U2 IC chip issue came up...no one locally fixes this issue (company in the UK fixes) ... apparently happens due to using non apple chargers which I seldom but occasionally use. Needed a phone so pulled old iphone 4 out of drawer...charged up and moved service over to this phone. Thought well there's no way to fix iphone 5 and didn't want to spend $$$ to get new phone ... wasn't happy that a perfectly good iphone which I'd taken great care of would just stop working so kept using iphone 4 for 8 months....till a friend suggested I take iphone 5 to Sun Cellular. Brought iphone 5 in ... they tried a new charge port ... still not working ... then put a new battery ($50) in phone and voila!! Works perfectly. Sun Cellular...you guys are the real genius bar. Now why on earth would apple genius bar not be able to diagnose and fix something as simple as a battery issue. I'm thoroughly convinced that when the geniuses "take phone to the back" they are really updating their snapchat or having a snack. Highly recommend this company ... So, I'm walking out to my car after a long day at work. I reach into my purse to grab my phone and SMASH! My link to the rest of the world is cracked and, well let's face it, my day has been ruined. That my friends was me last Friday. *tear* So, why am I happy now? Let's read on. This company is phenomenal. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend that if your phone is giving you trouble, see them first. They may be able to save you money, keeping you from having to pay the insurance deductible with your cell carrier. That's what they did for me. Their work is fast and good. The power button was stuck/almost broken on my phone and they fixed it at a very fair price and in less than half an hour. Had I used my cell carrier's insurance to get a replacement phone, it would have cost me $150! I came in a week later with my husband and Galaxy S5 to have his malfunctioning audio jack repaired. They found lint in the port, cleaned it out in about 30 seconds and didn't even charge us for it. It's the nice, little things a business does that get me, like what they did with my husband's phone. That small, kind gesture will keep me coming back from now on. I will also be telling my friends about how honest and fair these folks are. 5++ stars for Sun Cellular! read more
