I wanted to take a moment to express my extreme disappointment with this location. Everything was great up until we actually received our devices. Jazmin was wonderful throughout the process, and this review is in no way a reflection of her service. Yesterday, we returned to the store because our devices were not working properly. While on the phone with Verizon customer service, I was told to visit the store and that the issue could be resolved in about five minutes. Unfortunately, that could not have been further from the truth. The associate assisting me became frustrated during our interaction and walked away rather than helping resolve the issue. I explained multiple times that the two-factor authentication notifications were being sent to devices that could not receive them, as they were iPads and watches. Instead of working through the problem, I was told there was nothing that could be done. After waiting for assistance, another employee attempted to help but repeatedly insisted that I did not need cellular service on my watch. Respectfully, that is exactly why we purchased the watches in the first place. At that point, I left the store because it was clear I was not getting any meaningful assistance. To make matters worse, somewhere during the setup process, both of our new watches were attached to the same phone number. This was the root cause of the issues we were experiencing and prevented the watches from properly accessing cellular service. As a result, I spent nearly 15 hours on the phone with Verizon customer service trying to correct a problem that originated during the store setup process. Thankfully, the customer service team was eventually able to resolve everything. My biggest frustration is that when a customer tells you something is not working correctly, they should be listened to rather than dismissed. Had someone taken the time to investigate the issue instead of assuming everything was set up correctly, this entire situation could have been avoided. read more

Worst customer service ever went in just to have a phone replaced under warranty on a business account and the three gentlemen that were there were so clueless. It was like playing three blind mice. They had no idea what to do told me they couldn't replace my phone told me that they'd have to escalate this higher so they probably couldn't handle it tonight even though I've already talked to somebody earlier in the day before I made my appointment. Yes, this was feasible no big deal not a problem. We'll take care of it I get there and these three not so polite individuals that are a bunch of freaking millennials. My business rep actually sent me to you. If I could give this location a negative score I get a -5 this is why I never go into a freaking Verizon store because the customer service is so horrible. update 2: So I went to transfer all of my files and such and get our new phones activated, but apparently something wasn't done in store that should have been. After spending 3+ hours using the chat support, we finally got both phones working. I also discovered that I was charged some additional fees for the "free" tablets that were part of some promotion... the fees were not made clear to me... but I guess I should have known better. So I removed a star... This location needs help. Online support was excellent tonight! They made sure they stayed with me until I was able to get both new phones working and a few other things the store associate said could not be done in store. They went over and above to help me. update: while the initial interactions were awful, Toby was a great associate who seemed very helpful and efficient. Had we just interacted with him. it would have been a much higher rating. Horrible manager experience. I wish I'd looked at this location's ratings prior to coming in. we came in and wandered for a good 5-10 min before I finally asked someone if there was a check in. apparently someone was suppose to be at the door and wasn't. so the associate I had asked checked me in.. 6 people ahead of me. ok... it is Black Friday... they should be prepared.... nope. waiting still and we've been here almost an hour. we had to bring our 4 kids with us (oldest is 8) and they didn't want them playing around the areas where they were out of the way and there is literally NOTHING they could damage. Robert, who informed us of this was very curt, and sadly, was the manager on duty.. If we weren't on a family plan we'd probably see how T-mobile is now. my verizon phone cannot take texts but I can't sign in verizon or switch to the replacement phone without a text to the unavailable old phone. When I tried to sign in on a desktop after this, then it said text the OLD phone - can't. After waiting 1.5 HOURS for support, they said I have to go to the store (closing in 2 min.) They don't allow email contact for changing the password -- must do it my SNAILMAIL if no text. They also said phone were free - a LIE. The bill went down by $175 a month after the 2 years of paying for a FREE PHONE. Also no Europe coverage like T-mobile (who started in Europe). Maybe I will try Pure talk. Verizon spends $3 billion on advertising but eliminated their online backup a couple of years ago. Also, they use asurion for claims. They charged $275 to replace an old phone. On a Verizon home PROTECT electronics claim, asurion said the printer wasn't mine. I paid for it NEW, sent photos of 3 sides including the serial number. 2nd time, no coverage on a home protect item. read more

When my friend told me not to go to this location because they have poor customer service, I thought my issue was easy enough that a monkey could do it. I REALLY gave them too much credit. I paid for 2 day delivery of my phone instead of the free 5 day delivery and got my phone 8 days later. Simple $10 credit. NOPE. First came the stutters then "you have to call customer service". Apparently, no one in the store can do customer service. So what is the point in having workers that can't serve customers?! Ordered online with express pickup expecting my earphones to be done in less than 30 minutes, not sure why it's called express pickup if it's not express... also not sure why the lady told me it can take up to 2 hours to pack up, it's just headphones, shouldn't take that long. If I were to come in to get some head phones, the employees just grab them where they are from and I pay and leave, it's really not that difficult. It should have been so easy. We go into the store to upgrade four older phones to four new ones. We had already decided what phones we wanted so it was just a matter of seeing what plans/deals were available. The initial salesman was very nice but obviously new. That was not the problem. However, the problems started with the activation and data transfers. We were at the store for 5.5 hours waiting for this process to be completed. It took awhile but two of the phones were problematic. Instead of the "management team" noticing this and assisting the new guy, we were ignored. After multiple tries, including the initial salesmen, going to one of the lead guys, a call to their customer service tech support line and multiple attempts, the phones were working when we left. In the morning, one of the "fixes" they attempted caused two lines being on one phone and no service to the other. The phone without the service was slow to respond and the touch screen required multiple presses to even give the slow response. Back to the store the next morning. We waited 30 minutes to be "helped". The two in one problem was "solved" and the phone response was ok. We requested that phone be replaced since it had problems that could return at any time. After the initial "No, we can't do that." it became a yes but there would be a $50 restocking fee and another setup fee. The manager, Oscar, was rude/condescending telling us that "this is called technology and technology changes all the time". Since they could not duplicate the problem there was no problem even though it was sales personnel and not a technician that worked on the phone. We were obviously not getting anywhere at the store and both the salesman and manager were done with us and considered us a waste of time. We went home, contacted Verizon corporate offices. Corporate arranged for us to go to another store (Happy Valley location) where the phone was swapped out and we discovered the physical sim card was bad. The data was moved to the new phone which was checked, tested (good), at no charge and we were out the door in under 25 minutes. It should be noted that just through casual conversation with three other customers that were waiting, all had issues related to equipment setup and one poor guy waited 30 minutes just to get a shipping label to send his equipment back only to be told by Oscar to go home and get it by email. Regardless of how you feel about Verizon, this store's lack of customer service and dismissive attitude is unacceptable and reflects VERY poorly on the company as a whole. The Happy Valley location was the polar opposite and will be our go to for anything Verizon related. There is a separate five star Yelp review for that location. read more

I went to get a SIM card for my phone that was purchase through apple (I've done this before with no issue at other locations), and the first thing I was asked is if I purchased through them and I let them know I got it through apple. Almost instantly it was like Eric (solutions manager) didn't want to help me since I didn't purchase though them. He said he couldn't give me a free SIM card because it would mess up their inventory. I explained that I had done this before and that I would be getting together with the account holder that evening to add the phone on the website. Eric again told me no, he said that it would be like if a stranger tried to get into my account and that giving me a SIM card would let them in. I replied that it wouldn't be anything like that since even with a SIM card they would have to login to the account which I would be able to do that night with the account holder. He realized his analogy was incorrect and then said I had to be an account manager on the account for him to give me a SIM card (which they give out at no cost). Incredibly terrible customer service on Eric A.'s part and it's not possible to even call the store directly so that I would have known this ahead of time. Avoid this store and Eric A. at all costs there is a much better, nicer and higher level of customer service store at Tatum and Shea. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked in to the store to quickly return my internet modem as I am canceling the service. (which was terrible btw) I walked in, took a seat and patiently waited. It took about 5 minutes for someone to walk by and ask if I've been checked in yet, they checked me in, I received a text saying it would be about 10mins. I waited for over 30mins, for the rep to ask how he could help me. When I told him I needed to return the modem, he told me since it's been longer than 30 days he can't help me and told me to call customer service. I waited in the store with this big box in my hand for 30mins and never at any point did anyone ask me if I was trying to return it that they couldn't help me. What kind of customer service is this??? I'm livid and at this point considering dropping my service. So unprofessional, with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills whatsoever. read more

Had a great experience today working Oscar. (did not get a last name ) Oscar greeted me and was able to help me get a new phone. He was super knowledgeable on the new phones and when he mentioned he had only been there a week I was in shock! Oscar had some great customer service. He has a great personality and overall just a 10/10 employee. I really enjoyed my time going in today and him helping me out. I'm usually hesitant about going in to stores and dealing with phones but Oscar just earned a customer for life. I had to return a phone that I ordered from Verizon.com as it was the wrong model. I was able to get the new phone model (around 3:30pm) About 2 hours later my husband realized his phone line was not working - he was traveling and had no cellular service! The store employee who exchanged the phones must have changed my husbands phone line to the brand new phone without our permission. After being on the phone with Verizon customer service to no avail I returned to the store in a panic to try to get my husbands phone up and running. The people working in the store did not seem to reciprocate the urgency and told me that I would have to wait my turn as there were other customers ahead of me. After about a 15 minute wait I was met by the assistant manager named Joe and even after I expressed the seriousness of the situation, he preceded to tell me that he would put my name in the queue. After another 10 minute wait I was able to finally get the phone turned back on. The manager acknowledged it was mistakenly turned off as it was probably done automatically through the system. No apology - no concern for the customer...if anything he seemed to think turning off someone's phone when they were traveling was no big deal. read more

Beware, this store just wants your money and doesn't care if anything works - took us away from a working plan and made phones unusable, not fixing things, finally saying we don't care we just do sales and Not our problem of it never works. We purchased an online postpaid plan with Verizon, transferring our numbers to Verizon. They offered a very good plan with good discounts / refunds and perks. Online there was a choice to get an esim or a physical sim. Because we were a business we were automatically given the physical sims (mailed out in a couple days). We asked online if we could have esims to make the transfer quicker. The said go to a store to get a physical sim and get the new phone lines working quicker. We went to this store with several phones. The salesman and store manager and business account manager pushes to let them set up the plans instead (eg they get the sale not the online sept.). We said we got deals for getting them online. They went away and came back with a deal fairly close (but requires more years to get the discounts back). By then it had been 30 minutes but they said they could have us working when we left the store so we said ok. [Note phones never worked and they actually said not our concern.] After another half hour they said they were done but gave us temporary numbers saying our ported numbers would work the next day. It was a weekend so we said ok. We did not get the numbers ported in and called daily with the manager saying let me make some calls and then after a hold (or us calling again for status) saying it would work in a couple hours. Fast forward over a week. Numbers still not ported. Temp numbers never worked on one phone (no calls could be made or received, only texts). After 2 days no phones could make or receive calls nor send/receive texts nor use data (eg maps email etc.). After a couple days the account manager and store manager started coming up with excuses, different ones as the days dragged on. They had to wait until the orders we had placed online were canceled before their order would go to through... No idea why it wasn't working.. they will make some calls... We - the customer - needed to make some calls (we spent 1-2 Hours each day for 3 days before we said enough, multiple "ports" done)... Finally ending with "not our job". We just sell you the plan, the oversees reps are responsible to get it to work. We dumped them and moved to another carrier and had working phones in 24 hours. Note We got emails saying we owed hundreds of dollars for these phones that never worked. That we needed to log into our Verizon account to access and pay the bills - we never got a Verizon account since we never had working numbers. We had to call and get that account fixed (billing admitted it was a mistake and happened all the time - apparently a lot of problems getting numbers ported over and new accounts are created with every port attempt) but of course more effort on our part. Do not go to this store. They sell You things that never work and don't care. Use the online Verizon people where they actually did a good job and wait the days until you get a sim. Update: Funny Verizon reply to this - just a standard "we care about customer service" - obviously they do not based on our experience. And saying they were glad another area of Verizon could fix one of the problems the store created. read more

Terrible customer service. I went in for a SIM card since mine stopped working. I thought this would be a simple transaction, boy was I wrong. The entire staff refused to provide one to me so that I may activate one on my own since it's not difficult at all and I didn't want to wait for them to assist me. They told me they have to do it there and that I can't buy one cause the don't sell them. They left me with no options or solutions beside wait for them to take care of it. I went to another one close by and I was in and out with a new SIM card in less than 3 minutes and I was able to activate it from home. Avoid this Verizon at all cost if you can. read more

Broke the back glass on my old phone and fortunately had the protection plan, so ordered a new phone using their online system and the new phone arrived quickly which was great. Unfortunately, that's where the greatness stopped. I called the number on the package for assistance in helping transfer my old data to my new phone and the customer service rep. had such a thick accent I finally had to give up in frustration. I then went to this Verizon store for help. No acknowledgment of me and another lady that walked in at the same time. We both stood there waiting for at least 10 minutes before a rep. came over and told us we needed to scan the QR code located at the front to get into the queue. The display that had the QR code was so short that the lady and I almost had to get on our knees to scan. Stood around for another 15 minutes (no chairs or stools available to sit in to wait so no choice but to stand) and finally was called over. Quickly explained my problem to the rep. who seemed very disinterested and was shooting fake "jump shots" the entire time. He also told me there would be a $29 charge to help (which I thought was odd but okay). In between jump shots, he did get the process started. He then got up and went in the back with no explanation (?) I still had my old phone with me however would not hold a charge for very long if not plugged in. They have chargers available at the counter that I assumed were meant for the customer so I plugged in my old phone. When he returned, he told me I needed to unplug my phone, again with no reason. Fortunately I guess he was at the end of his shift so another rep. came over to help. The 2nd guy was much more professional and courteous. I left thinking everything was good but still can't access some apps. So now I suppose I'll need to return for more help but will probably search for a different location and hope for a better experience. read more

3 employees I the store 1 other customer just chitty chatting with a person not work related at all but he was the only one who can work with clients. Waited 15 mins and realized the lack of care for a paying customer who was there for business. Walked out. Wasted my time. Suggestion next time help the waiting client and ask the chitty chatty person to come back to chitty chat later. Although it saddens me to switch phone companies after being so loyal to one, I just had to. Verizon had a deal that I just couldn't resist -- a new phone plus decreasing my current phone bill?! Yes, please! And seeing how hubby and I have a little one on the way, we're trying to save money anyway we can. Well, I walked in on a Sunday thinking there'd be a long wait but to my surprise I only waited about 5 minutes before the most polite associate, Ramin, came to help. He was extremely courteous and knowledgeable and informed me of the amazing deals/promotions Verizon was running. Long story short, Ramin helped me get a newer faster iPhone for cheaper than I was paying before. So we began the process of making the switch and transferring all my information from my old phone to my new one (I'm currently writing this review off my new phone -- yeah!) Ramin made the whole process a breeze and effortless and I walked out a happy new customer! Once hubby found out of the amazing deal I got, first he couldn't believe it, but then he wanted "in" -- so he stopped by today and lucky for him, Ramin was there to assist him as well so he switched over, too. Yay for us! We both got new iPhones for cheaper than we were paying before and truly, it's better service than we had previously, too. Double win; happy dance!!! HORRIBLE! I switched providers because of the outrageous prices Verizon was charging and I have been trying since January to take care of the disconnect, returning devices, and paying off balance! I just last week received my final bill that only had an amount due on it without even a breakdown of what those charges are for. I have been to this location 3 times now to return the device and I was specifically told by customer service to taken them to the store and tell the to send them back to the warehouse. The store manager REFUSED and handed me a box and shipping label and told me to do it myself! They will say anything just to make the sale. Asked if I can adjust data plans later, they said yes. Verizon said no. Asked if I can change what my caller ID says, they said yes. Verizon said no. I know people like to slam the Cellular places and Apple for all their inconsistencies! I on the other hand, like to see the positive in Customer Service when someone goes the extra mile to assist!! Frankie was that individual at the Verizon location that was close to my home! I was having issues with Canceling my Verizon due to getting married and going to my husband's cellular service. Frankie was Super helpful and went out of his easy to simplify the issue! Having worked at Apple, I know folks are quick to criticize cellphones, technology and the service that surrounds it.
