I went in to purchase a new phone and had a very short wait. The employee who helped me was very knowledgeable and professional. I was worried I might be in the store for over an hour or more as this has been my experience when purchasing a new phone, but the entire process took approximately 30-minutes. I was able to purchase a new phone and necessary accessories as they had everything in stock. The employee also helped me transfer over contacts and pictures. The store also had some safety measures in place and a hand sanitizing station near the door. Overall I had a great and painless experience. read more

this is by far the worst Verizon store in the valley of Phoenix. I live two minutes from the store so it's convenient for me. I don't care whether I have an appointment, or if I walk in I'm going to wait at least 30 minutes if I don't have an appointment and I'm next in line, I watch the employees walk around and do a lot of nothing. They'll look at if to say. Oh well I have control here. The reason I'm writing this review now is because I was looking online for different locations so I don't have to go back to the store. I was there this afternoon waited in line I was next in line for 45 minutes. Many people behind me walked out. I finally walked out myself. I won't go back to this location. It needs a manager to go in there and control these employees and let them know they are not in charge. It's terrible. The customer service is downright terrible. I am honestly surprised that this particular store front or branch is still open. Almost every dealing we've had with them in the last several years has been them looking for reasons not to do business. If it wasn't the "you have to make an appointment "method of getting rid of you, they will find another. Went there to purchase a new iPhone to replace an old one, since my wife who is evidently the primary on the account was not present they couldn't sell us a phone or help us at all and once again sent us and our money away. So we went home, got on line and purchased one directly from Apple and it was delivered to the house the next day. A quick swap of the Sim card and a side-by-side transfer of the phone contents, and all was good. We spent pretty penny with Apple $1500 who didn't seem to care who was the primary on our wireless account and the cost would have been the same with Verizon, but they for some reason just don't want our money. On the bright side since we bought the case and screen protector on line rather than through Verizon we did save a good amount on those items. read more

We moved 5 phones and an iPad to Verizon from AT&T 3 months ago, worst thing we have ever done!! Their coverage and customer support is dreadful. My iPad has lost service 3 times in 3 months. I have not had service for over a week now and have spent over two hours on two calls to Verizon and it has not been fixed. They sent us a Network Extender to place in our house because the service is so bad and IT DOES NOT WORK!! I've been a long term customer and understand that COVID restrictions have created difficulty BUT I tried calling this location, checked the website, there was no guidance to the fact that they are doing appointments only. I showed up to do an upgrade and was told they couldn't assist me until Tuesday which is days later. I had to drive all the way to Baseline Rd to receive good customer service. Next time you decide to change protocols around, make sure to have a way for clients to either speak to a customer service rep online to book an appt or that the website gives guidance into booking an appt. read more

People are quick to tear apart a cellphone store, the bank, basically any place that provides service. Usually when you walk into a Verizon Wireless store, you are most likely dealing with a form of an issue. So, by the time you walk into it, you're not happy to start out the entire exchange. I walked in ready for help, a smile on my face and a look of "oh jeez, I hope you can help me" and guess what?! I was helped with complete and utter satisfaction. Lisa was ready to conquer the issue and fix it without me feeling dumb, penniless or confused. This is how service should be. But it's the customer's part in all this too. Ask for help and don't bark at the employees as if your phone calls, texts and facebooking are equivalent to you performing successful heart surgery. Not a big fan of the customer service at this location. I've been with Verizon for about 19 years and today , tho I know I have an older plan, the rep Sala seemed like she was annoyed to be assisting us because my family member was downgrading from a smart phone to a basic phone and her tone when trying to explain why I had an old plan and NEEDED to upgrade put me on the defensive and I really didn't want to change . I ultimately agreed to buy when my family member decided to just activate his old basic phone instead of paying almost $200 for a new basic phone she seemed even More bothered to have to do that for us so I left without having her change my plan after all. I'm pretty sick of this masked idiotic society. Went to Verizon store, 7th St & Bell today to pay off the balance on my samsung phone. We waited outside on the sidewalk for a bit, and then a little spindly, tiny bopper female came out and admitted some people inside. She asked me what I needed today, I told her I wanted to pay off the balance of my phone. She told me they were not accepting cash at their counter. I asked her what my alternatives were. She told me I could go on line and pay the amount there. I asked if there ware any other options so I would not have to put the amount on a credit card. I asked if there was another location where I could pay my cash. She told me because of covid, no one was accepting cash. She then went by me to the next person. in line. She returned with her snippy attitude and asked me if there was anything I needed help with today. I told her that just because her face was masked did NOT make her invisible, and that her customer service left a lot to be desired. I am really done with the young covid attitude of thinking that since no one can see me, I can say whatever I want to say behind my mask, because they can't see me anyway. What a crock!! Heck of a way to conduct business. Just because you wear a mask does NOT give you license to treat customers with a flippant, disrespectful manner. back in Dec tried to sign up with Verizon, They said we would have to buy new phones , we started to walk out and the salesman stopped us and said he had some old phones that were discontinued and would give them to us for FREE, So we signed up. Over the first couple months I had dropped call after call, battery life drained fast always and then could never understand the bill. Always different prices . Couldn't pay online thier website sucks for that. After always having to walk in and pay at a kiosk we got sick of it and went back to Metro. One fixed price never a hassle and got two new phones. Cancelled Verizon and now being charged 228.00 for two POS phones they gave us to sign up . Lying salesman and staff are rude and incompetent. Never using them again. First off he really tried to help me fix my phone before trying to sell me a new one! ultimately he knows it's only a matter of time before this phone fully goes, and you know what? When it does (we did finally get it to charge) I'm going to go to this Verizon and seek him out. I had fine, even great customer service. I had recently paid to have the glass replaced from some spot at PV Mall -- next to JC Penny's -- do not go there because they used "aftermarket" glass. The glass cracks easy. After 3 weeks my Galaxy S4 decided to stop charging. I came in and was helped by David, after plugging it in and realizing it wasn't going to charge said we need to figure out if it's a battery issue or a problem with the charging port. He asked a co-worker Gina if he could borrow her battery for a minute so we could have a definitive answer. She said NO (in a really rude tone) and explained that I'll need to wipe my phone to see if it still doesn't work. I told her I needed to be able to make sure my G Cloud backed up my phone, plus wiping it with 6% battery life would cause the phone to shut off in the middle of it and brick my phone, a chance she thought I should take. Well even if I could wipe it without bricking it, I'm not going to just wipe my phone if it's a battery issue. She said they don't have any batteries laying around, I said well he asked if we could use yours real quick and you said no, she then rolled her eyes and walked away. I asked her to come back so we could keep discussing this but she refused. David apologized and said he shouldn't have put her on the spot like that. He was just trying to think outside the box and come up with a quick solution to my phone not charging. So he went to talk to the manager to see if she had any ideas. In the mean time I went over to the display phones, took the battery out and put it in my phone, plugged it in and got the answer we needed. It's the port, not the battery. I could hear the manager yelling at David...everyone could. He got yelled at for asking Gina to borrow her battery and for allowing me to take the battery out of a phone. He didn't tell me to do it, I did it all on my own since his co-workers and manager were completely worthless. Since I purchased it at Costco ($70 cheaper plus awesome accessories) I had the option of having them send me a new one or just exchanging it at Costco. I obviously went that route. I called Verizon Customer Service today about my incident last night and they took it very seriously. Especially since I had a billing error and the manager was supposed to correct it and she never did. I highly commend David for doing whatever he could to help me. Gina and the manager on duty were rude and absolutely worthless!!! read more

I think of all of the Verizon locations I've been to over my 8 years of service with them, this was my favorite. Matthew (I believe his last name was Keaton or Keegan? or something similar, unfortunately I don't have a business card for him), the business rep, and Christopher Pohl, the sales specialist, definitely changed my view on Verizon and their customer service. I was ready for this to be my last year with Verizon but they are the kind of people that make customers stick around. They made sure I was taken care of, helping me with a replacement for my broken phone and making sure I was set up on my new one. Christopher made sure he found me the best deal for extras that he could without pressuring on an up sale. If you need anyone to help you on the sales side, definitely ask for Chris!! read more

Totally useless!!!! My wife's phone froze Friday 9/6/13. I took it to the Verizon store that Saturday. They offered to mail out a new phone, and it should arrive Tuesday. Wednesday night it still hasn't arrived. I called customer service, and they said the request to mail a new phone was not made (Verizon store on 7th st fault) but they did see I was at that specific store with a frozen phone. After they pretty much agreed they made a mistake, I asked if my wife can just go into a store and get a new phone. They reminded me its Verizon Wireless' policy to only MAIL warranty phones, but she was going to transfer me to tech support to get approval for overnight shipping. Tech support agreed my case was worthy of overnight shipping, and that it should be here Friday. Friday night, it wasn't here. I called customer service again, they said the phone was shipped standard rate, and it should arrive Monday. I reminded the customer service agent that the whole mailing thing obviously wasn't really working. They agreed. I asked if my wife can just get a phone at a store (because they messed up twice now) They reminded me again of the policy. I asked for compensation for not having a phone service for about 10 days, they agreed and offered a $25 credit. She laughed, and told me they definitely don't want me to pay for a service if I cant use it. They didn't think turning a 3 day task into a 10 day hassle was a problem, and the $25 was much more than the prorated 10 days of service. I asked what my wife could do while waiting for the phone. They suggested she go to a Verizon store and get a "loaner". Why wasn't I offered a loaner when they admitted they didn't ship the phone the first time? My wife went to a Verizon store (in San Diego) to get her loaner. The customer service rep at the store assured her that they do not offer loaners, and he doesn't know any store or cell phone company that does. My wife asked what the return policy was on a new phone and service. The rep said "Full refund within 14 days", my wife said "great, I would like to buy a phone with a new plan". Once the rep figured out what she was doing, (she was going to return the phone when the other one came in the mail) he "remembered" their is a $100 restocking fee. At this point, my wife was going to totally lose it. The rep "found" a old flip phone in the back and cleaned it for her. While he was activating it, he reminded her a few times that he wasn't supposed to do this, and he was doing her a HUGE FAVOR. My wife and I are not trying to get anything for free, and we would never take advantage of things like buying a phone with the plan of returning it, but we pretty much didn't have any other options. Verizon Wireless always seems to make it very clear that they have the best coverage, and most would think that would/should include the best customer service (they seem to be the most expensive too) Unfortunately that hasn't held true. When are they going to learn that cell phone service is like car insurance? People have to have it, and if you take care of your customers, they will probably stay with you forever. $140 a month for the next 40 years, you do the math, that's A LOT of lost business!!!!!! As soon as my contract expires, I'm moving on. "We never stop working for you"? You guys never started, you pretty much do the bare minimum. That's not true.... you guys were great when you were selling me the service, and convincing me the iphone that I originally wanted was out dated, and soon to be obsolete. read more

This store is terrible. They are not friendly at all. They make you feel stupid when you ask any questions and frankly I would never go back to this store again. I don't care how many phones you have as an employee, I don't care if you use more bandwidth than I do, so that makes you an expert? I don't know who trains these people here but they need to erase and start over. I own a business, if my employees treated the customers the way I was treated, they would be in the unemployment line. I honestly was very disappointed in the way I was treated. Verizon is a very big company, I get that, but to be told if I don't like the prices to go join one of the other services and that I would be back is rude and extremely unprofessional. I challenge other providers to step up, it seems Verizon Wireless is becoming so big that the customers do not matter. What makes it worse is the guys in the store were more concerned with what time they got off to go to the Chili's behind the store for beer was ridiculous, to make it worse it was a Monday! I ended up going to another store (NON VERIZON) and just buying a jail broke version of the phone elsewhere. I still have the Verizon service since it is the better 4G available in Phoenix but at least they didn't make the money off the phone! I have called Verizon on the phone and they are always very professional and helpful. However, this physical location needs a major overhaul. It's not that the service is bad, at this location, it's just that there's no service at all. These people are the poster children, for everything that is bad, in business. They couldn't care less, about what their customers needs are. They are little robots, that are programmed to try and anticipate what you are going to say, not what your needs are. The customer service/sales girls were standing off to the side, both looked at me like I was the last person they wanted to help. The lucky chosen one didn't listen to a thing I was saying and kept getting information wrong because of it. Rather than listening to what I wanted and showing me the phone I was interested in she wanted to skip right to my credit check "to see if I even qualify". I was annoyed and offended. As a result I left without buying anything & drove across the street to Sprint. I will not be going back nor do I recommend this place. I was wanting to upgrade my iPhone and back in October I stopped in this Verizon store and they were excellent. It was soon after the new model iPhones came out but they had enough staff to move things along. A lot of my friends and family like going straight to Apple Store at Biltmore and I have been there for questions, accessories and every time they are rude and make me feel like I don't know anything. I have been extremely happy with Verizon service for number of years so I checked in at this store and Sala Williams was excellent in listening & educating me on different features of new iPhones, plans & amazing promotion at that time! I told her that she made difference in my experience by answering all questions, super easy to talk to and she knows her product! Chris at Verizon just exceeded my (already high) expectations of customer service and solved my issue. There was a mix up with the phone I ordered for my daughter for Christmas and it wasn't going to be here in time. I spent an hour on the phone with customer care and they said they couldn't help me and I should go in to a Verizon store. Chris sent me off within 15 minutes with a phone in hand.. problem solved, Christmas saved. He should be training people to do what he does.
