As always excellent customer service! April Helped us today. It all went well. We took advantage of the Black Friday special and we upgraded Mike's phone, home internet and his iPad. Very happy to have new equipment!

area where I thought my kids could be occupied and out of the way

update 2: So I went to transfer all of my files and such and get our new phones activated, but apparently something wasn't done in store that should have been. After spending 3+ hours using the chat support, we finally got both phones working. I also discovered that I was charged some additional fees for the "free" tablets that were part of some promotion... the fees were not made clear to me... but I guess I should have known better. So I removed a star... This location needs help. Online support was excellent tonight! They made sure they stayed with me until I was able to get both new phones working and a few other things the store associate said could not be done in store. They went over and above to help me. update: while the initial interactions were awful, Toby was a great associate who seemed very helpful and efficient. Had we just interacted with him. it would have been a much higher rating. Horrible manager experience. I wish I'd looked at this location's ratings prior to coming in. we came in and wandered for a good 5-10 min before I finally asked someone if there was a check in. apparently someone was suppose to be at the door and wasn't. so the associate I had asked checked me in.. 6 people ahead of me. ok... it is Black Friday... they should be prepared.... nope. waiting still and we've been here almost an hour. we had to bring our 4 kids with us (oldest is 8) and they didn't want them playing around the areas where they were out of the way and there is literally NOTHING they could damage. Robert, who informed us of this was very curt, and sadly, was the manager on duty.. If we weren't on a family plan we'd probably see how T-mobile is now. I get it... he probably doesn't have kids... but seriously, be kind to families.

Blah!! I live in a rural area. CenturyLink was the best option. I've had them since 2012. Early on…read moreit was great, but now customer service has gone to hell. Cable on the ground being driven over. Recently, it took 6 days for a tech to come out. He got service up and running, but the cable is still on the ground. Support is crap. 2018, a storm hit and took out 3 power poles. The cable lay on the ground for 2 years till they brought a bucket truck to hang the cable back up. During that time, someone tried to steal the cable. It took them a few days to fix that and left the cable on the ground. As this is being written, the cable is still on the ground from the recent downed cable. The way they see it is that if your service is working, CenturyLink doesn't care about the cable. Providers are hard to find out here unless you don't mind paying a premium. Still trying to find a provider for a reasonable price.

Additionally, I was told Century Link could not stop my service on weekends, as the last day of paid service is a Sunday, and that they would stop my service (with a push of a button, no house call) on the preceding Friday, supposedly not before 5:00 PM. Not only are they unwilling to prorate for an extra 4 days, they are stopping my service 2 days earlier than what is paid. Century Link has and is, the WORST customer policies, service policies, and I thoroughly would NOT recommend them as a provider. These days there are many other options. I was bushwacked into them, as they bought out Quantum Fiber and took control of my account. BTW, Quantum Fiber was excellent, and I would never have moved service on my own.

I went to unfortunately cancel my…read moreWiFi service and return the equipment and was greeted right away with a smile and a "how may i help you" attitude from Kevin. Even though i was cancelling a service his attitude never chanced. He asked for the reason which is understandable. I had to cancel the WiFi service via phone first which i didn't know so in steps Crystal with the 800 number to call so i called it right then. While on the phone with a Verizon rep he couldn't help because i had already transferred my phone service so he wasn't able to pull up the WiFi account even after Kevin showed me the WiFi account number which i told the rep and then he asks for a PIN number. I don't recall ever setting up a PIN number so i gave him the number it would be as i do use the same one for other accounts but it didn't work. Crystal asked to speak to the rep using my phone and took charge. To not make a long story even longer all I can say is that after about 20-25 minutes Crystal in a calm confident demeanor talked the rep thru the motions on what needs to happen. My WiFi account was eventually closed and Kevin took the equipment and gave me my receipt for it. Because of Kevin and Crystal, if i ever decide to change phone and WiFi services again it will back to Verizon. If Verizon had cable service I would have never changed but in today's economy it hard to pass up on the savings with a package deal for all three.

They seem more than willing to overcharge for their products while consistently underdelivering on service. It's disappointing to see a company that was once known for great service fall so far. Be careful with Century Link's promotion " locked price for life". While it is true that the price…read moreis 55.00 for a decent speed it's like pulling teeth to get the full monthly price from their sales reps. Just remember that the price does not include modem rental if you're renting. If you don't rent the modem you will need to purchase one for 100.00. Taxes will probably be 10.00 depending on your city. Also a month in advance payment will be required . So your first month's payment will most likely be ( for the 55.00 plan) 55.00 + 10.00 (tax) + 55.00 + 10.00 (month in advance plus tax) + modem rental 10.00 X 2 for months if you rent. Total first bill :150.00 and that's a conservative estimate. If you're not a current customer doing a lateral change but a new customer there may be an additional activation fee. If you don't rent the modem but purchase it, the first month's bill will be about 130.00 + 100.00 for a one time purchase. The subsequent bills will be 65.00 -70.00 without a modem rental. 75.00-80.00 with a modem rental for the advertised plan of 55.00 a month. Just wanting to help you make an informed decision. It's not a bad plan just a few more costs than you may have realized . Every telecom does this .
