I'd been given an older Sony TV and couldn't get it to work. Steve came out and after trying a few things including taking it apart, it was simply inoperable. When he learned I was going to shop for another he offered a 2 year old LG 50" Smart TV he had taken in recently for a great price. I wish I could give 10 stars! Steve (from Bob's) was great starting from the first phone call. We troubleshooted over the phone the potential problem (which was the motherboard on a sony) and he ordered the part to not have to make a separate service call. We also discussed adding apple tv devices to the tvs to hopefully eliminate problems with the other tvs. Very efficient visit. Don was also able to fix an issue we had with our WiFi as a bonus. The only thing that sort of bothers us is the tv (wall mounted) is now slightly crooked even though it wasn't before. Not sure how that happened. Steve from Bob's TV repair came out to fix my 2011 Sony. It could not be fixed as the parts no longer are avaliable. Steve sold me an used TV, also a Sony. Bigger and better for a very reasonable rate. He hooked it up and hot everything running. Works like a charm. I asked him to recommend a sound bar for my other TV. He happened to have one in the van. Even though I did not end up bringing my tv in for repairs, their phone conversation with me gave me all the options. It is not worth it financially to repair my tv's sound, but they suggested a work around ...and I will be able to use my tv again and have sound until the picture goes out.... :) Excellent phone service, Steve !! Outstanding by every conceivable metric. Steve responded very quickly. He appeared on the date and at the time promised, removed a 75" TV from its wall mount, placed it on a folding table that he brought with him, and proceeded to diagnose and repair the TV. The repair required replacing the main circuit board or "brain" of the TV. He then remounted the TV on the wall, tested his repair and configured the TV. He also showed me a few tips and tricks for using the TV. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained what he was doing and answered any questions I had about the TV and how it functioned. He was also a very nice person and I would not hesitate to call him again or recommend him to anyone. Pricing was fair and reasonable for the work performed and part required. Approx. 15 mins later received a call back from an employee , he understood my problem and told me straight up the part needed would be a used part to repair my tv and the cost would be approx. $300.00 and the repair would last maybe 6 months. He advised me to just buy a new tv which I did. No cost to me for this honest advice. The things I require in a service are friendly staff, value, and quality service. So far all of those things are 5/5. They came to my house, dismounted my TV, tested it to see which part wasnt working and ended up having to order the part. It only took a few days and they even came to repair it on a Saturday. TV works now, the repairman re-setup my TV which was super nice since I would have no idea how to do that, and re-mounted the TV. He also arrived on-time to the minute!
