Service department was a true bait and switch. Do not use them or their "coupons" they cost more than others to have work done. Found a coupon for Timing Belt Replacement starting at $399.95, called to ask about it. Was told they were about 4 days behind, gave me an appointment about a week out. Was ok with that. Husband and I took off work to go to appt, found out it was at least 4 days for the actual work to get done. I was dropping off on a Friday and wouldn't get the car until Thursday is what I was told. They might have gotten it to me earlier if possible. Then was asked if we were aware of the pricing, we said we had a coupon for it to be $399.95 or so, knowing it would be a little more because that is normal. She told us it would be $1750. We asked why, was told it was a package deal and a serpentine belt and something else would be done also. They charge for each thing separately, including the labor hours, even though it is all done at one time. We asked if we could just do the coupon and they told us no, it was a package deal and it was a discount. Chris, Thank you for your response to the review. As you stated, when we were there you explained the price and why, not when the original appointment was made a week ago. Upfront pricing is always appreciated. We also did not ask for a serpentine belt or tensioner, we specifically requested to not have those. We did ask about the water pump, and did understand that would be an extra price. Karyn in the service department did a wonderful job helping me out! I needed a B1 service which is an oil change and tire rotation. She priced me and then noticed I needed cabin filters. I mentioned my TPMS light was on and they were able to fix that too! The previous dealership left two screws off my air cabin filter which could have caused more issues but thankfully didn't. She quoted me a flat rate to replace a front grille part (cosmetic) that I should have taken her up on that offer. Overall I will be going back and requesting her! They even replaced my dipstick after it broke due to old age. This is the place to get your Honda serviced, for sure! First of all, let me explain why the five star rating. I normally do not like car dealerships because of the shady practices. I am a haggler and I know exactly how I'm going to approach buying a vehicle, I run the show and I will get what I want or I leave. I went Saturday late afternoon, on a whim, to buy a truck, and they were recommended to me by my son. I spoke to the salesman Ariel, who had already been told by the finance manager, Sam James that he better take care of me. To my surprise, I did not have to haggle and after the first offer, we were real close and when I told him what down payment I wanted and the monthly payment I wanted , we made a deal instantly, never happened before. I was pleasantly surprised at the whole process, now my saying to others who want to buy vehicles from people who have family or friends in the business is never do that because they have a tendency to take advantage of relationships. In this case, it was the most pleasant experience buying a vehicle I have ever had. AVOID EARNHARDT HONDA DEALERSHIP: BOTH SALES AND SERVICE My wife and I purchased a 2026 Honda Odyssey here just a few months back. One of the advertised perks of buying at this dealership was free oil changes up to 12,000 miles. The sales rep that worked with me, friendly enough (of course, he wanted to make a sale), stated that the first oil change is typically recommended at 6,000 miles. Having just reached 6000 on the odometer, I cut some time out of my week and stopped by the Earnhardt Honda service department this morning to get that first oil change done. The service rep, Jerry Morris, stated to me emphatically that doing the oil change for free was impossible, because the Odyssey's Oil Life Indicator stated that the oil has 50% life remaining. He then stated that they wouldn't do a free oil change unless they saw the Oil Life Indicator at 15% or below! I stated that 6000 miles was, if anything, a little late for the first oil change; but he wouldn't budge. I then learned that many mechanics recommend doing the first oil change no later than 3000 miles--in order to replace the break-in oil (which is not full-synthetic) with full-synthetic oil that is made endure five to six thousand miles in between changes. The fact is that the Oil Life Indicator is based on mileage, and nothing else. The indication of 50% of life remaining after 6k miles driven is nothing but an anomalous glitch that is completely unrelated to the actual quality of the break-in oil. I pulled up my big-boy pants and decided that I could pay for the oil change out of my own pocket. It's just an oil change; not a lot of money by any measure. But how will the same dealership react when it's something serious and much more costly down the road? Jerry Morris from the Earnhardt Honda service department actually did me a favor: his adamant refusal to honor the dealer's commitment reminded me of a quotation from Maya Angelou: "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." I will never do business with Earnhardt Honda again; no service, and no future purchases. In fact, when I called Germain Honda of Surprise to set up that first oil change, I told them the story, ready to pay up for the oil change myself, but they insisted that they would take it upon themselves to do that first oil change; gratis. That makes it very easy to decide where to bring that vehicle for service in the future, and where to go when we are ready to make our next purchase! read more

On top of that, I was asked to pay for insurance on a vehicle I ultimately did not purchase, and I was charged $300 for a policy I never used. I still haven't received a refund. Overall, it was a terrible and frustrating experience. These salesmen behave like they need to get a fix, ignore your questions, ignore requests and just want to sell no real person treatment here, just numbers on a board. Earnhardt - not "a name you can trust" ...buyer beware. I know most reviews are positive but my experience was anything but good. Here are a few issues I experienced: * Sales person assigned not who I had been working with via text and changed when I arrived. That should have been the first red flag. * Items high graded during trade in appraisal. When our car was returned from the appraisal, we accepted the offer and proceeded to remove all our personal items. The next day, I found some items missing and notified the dealership so we could pick them up. * Most items returned the next day but still one set of items not returned and seemed to "disappear". It was not of great monetary value but we trusted them to NOT steal from us. * GM promised a call back after speaking with supervisor of the area where appraisals are performed but that never happened. To quote him "I want to make it right". * Appraisal price verbally quoted for trade in was 1300 more than the final papers stated. We both clearly heard the offer. Unfortunately, I did not notice the price on the final signing was not what was quoted and this is my fault for trusting. One has to review everything on an IPAD . My bad, and my fault for not noticing the change from the quoted trade in value but this is truly bad business and not reputable. NO integrity! * First sale of the day and it took over 1 hour to wash the car. I am not sure how washing a car can take over an hour. My patience was challenged by this lengthy delay. read more

We went in specifically for acar that was all wheel drive. Somehow they switched it to a front drive. We negotiated thinking that we were getting an all wheel drive. The bad thing was is that we got no hard copies. Everything was on a thumb drive so we never saw the carfax in hard copy only on the thumb drive. Being older , we did not realized that they could do A switch When we didn't get to see hard copy. We did not get what we asked for. We specifically went there with Car Guru ad that said AWD. I've had my car for about 2 years now. Love my car and Honda all around but now I know I've been dunked into a pothole with the payments. I was young and impressionable when getting my car so when the warranty numbers came out I was misunderstood. Every month I pay an extra $100 on my car payment for 10 year warranty for the motor. My sister got her car from the same dealer and only pays $20 for the same exact thing on an ever better car than mine. When asked to remove the warranty because I doubt they'd change my payment plan, it would remove the warranty but keep the same payment amount for every month. My original payment based off my credit set me for a good and reasonable payment but yet cannot alter it back? Recession is approaching and forsure makes the hard times harder.
