Liars, deceitful, unethical, scam--all the stereotypes rolled into one best describes this outfit. Short of the story is at the very end of the enlongated process they tried to deliver the wrong model year vehicle at the same price as the current/new model. On top of that, they lied about waiving the doc fee and added it in too. Also, they dramatically changed their tune for the amount offered for the trade-in at the end. Finally, after walking away from the scam, they won't refund the down payment. Fortunately, that's on AMEX as they'll stand behind me. Avoid these clowns at all costs! They will say what they need to get you to sign, but at the delivery time you never know what they're going to get you for! read more

I decided to purchase my lease because The amount I would be paying was going to be the same as what I was paying for my lease. A new lease would've been cheaper. The paperwork had to be re-done three different times and somehow during that process my payment amount increased by $75. I tried to meet with The sales rep, I called several times a week , notified their supervisor and I never had a call back to discuss my concerns. I recently bought my son a new car and we went to the Bell Toyota. They were wonderful. They literally scammed me. They refused to look through the paperwork to show the original document I signed. And I believe I dealt with the general sales manager. Fraudulent activity from the top. read more

Stay far away from this place. I am serious. We had no problems with Showcase Honda (we started a lease in August of '13), until Manny called us in January (2016) with a "special offer." My boyfriend allowed him to give his spiel over the phone, but Manny said he couldn't "legally tell us more about the offer unless we came into the store." My boyfriend tentatively says we will try and come in at 10 am on Saturday. Manny gives us his phone number and says to text or call if there was a change of plan. Saturday morning rolls around, and it's clear we won't be able to make it. My boyfriend texts Manny at 7 am letting him know that it will be impossible for us to make it in to learn about the "special offer." What ensues after this is absolutely unprofessional, unbelievable, and unacceptable. We get a call from the dealership around 11:15 asking where we are. My boyfriend tells them he cancelled the appointment with Manny, and that he's sorry we couldn't make it. They say they had no idea and ask what time we will make it. He tells them that we won't make it, and that if the deal is only something we can learn about in-store, we'll have to pass on it; they rudely hang up the phone. Manny then proceeds to text and call us for the next week demanding why we did not show up, pressuring us to still come in, and getting aggressive when we say no. It was astounding how incredibly rude and persistent he was with us. The last phone call with him- and there were at least five- was especially unpleasant, ending with my boyfriend yelling into the phone that he is to never call again. Do not do business with these people. read more

I found a car 9 months ago that I wanted more information about online. Of course, you have to give them your information before you can get the info. I gave my home phone number since that number is just for business etc. Now, remember I said 9 months. Apparently these ass-hats don't have a concept of something called caller ID. They called EVERY day, for 7 months. And NEVER left a message one time. All that would be on the voicemail would be a bunch of losers in a room laughing and then it would hang up. 7 MONTHS. It was hilarious at first, then downright ridiculous. I also got an email that said "How can I help you if you won't even call us back?" No one asked for your help douche. I just wanted info on a car, and got all the info I needed from your sales tactics, or lack thereof. read more

Atul Sharma is a good salesman to go to. Great listener and very helpful. He's the reason I left with a car and added an extra star. The reason I'm still rating so low is I found everyone else to very much show they just want your money. After pulling some teeth I was able to get an affordable deal for myself. But they like to tip toe around your actual questions and drag out your purchase for as long as they can. I was explained an add on 3-4 times even after bluntly saying no to multiple times. I'm happy with my car but the purchasing process could have been better. read more

I'd like to give them NO stars, but alas, that is not an option. I can't speak for the sales department, as I did not deal with them other than chatting with a bored, but very nice, employee. The service department, though, are a bunch of nasty crooks. I don't know how they sleep at night. The service department should be avoided at all costs. If your car isn't under warranty, don't bother. We took in our '02 Civic and were told that the entire wiring system needed to be replaced, to the tune of $850. (on top of the $100 charged to hook the car up to a machine!!) We decided to get a second opinion from our regular mechanic, who concluded that, not only was the wiring fine, but all the car needed was a new battery contact. Less than $100. Don't be the next victim. read more

Sleazy Car Dealership Education 101 Monday - my wife gets a call. (Paraphrasing) "Hi, We'd love to purchase back your 2013 Honda Fit. There is a demand for them and we're out of stock. It would help us out and in return we would pay off your loan at Wells Fargo increasing your credit score. We will be able to step you up to a CR-V for the same or even less of a monthly payment." Mon night - after work she tells me. "Too good to be true," I think. She tells me she's going to investigate, but no decisions. Tues night - she visits Showcase after work. She returns in a horrible mood not wanting to talk about it. Wed, her day off - She tells me she was ganged up on by 5 agents. Telling her things like, "you need new tires," "we'll have to depreciate the car for these scratches and dents," "not sure what sort of trade-in value we can get for you." REALLY?? You called her!...asking her for a favor. We don't need a new car. Ours is only a year old with 9000 miles on it. Wed 10am - The manager calls to apologize. He requests an appointment. She is satisfied and touched by his sincerity. Hmmm. Wed 5:00 - We drive to Showcase, and as you would expect, before I could even close my door, a piranha was upon us asking to help. "We have an appointment," I retort. Inside we are greeted by a sales manager. He gets some information and introduces us to Clay, the sales lead for his team. They are immensely cordial, friendly, amenable, attentive, and give the impression they will bend over backwards for us. I am satisfied for the time being. I explicitly explain, "[This is what we were told. If this can't happen this way, it's a waste of our time.] Is this what is going to happen?" I was assured it was. After inspecting the car, Clay; "Who told you you need new tires?" We joke about the idiocy. Huh...instant rapport and trust with Clay. In retrospect, I believe it's in their strategy: 1. Make initial contact and promise the world. (get the customer back thru the door) 2. Gang bang them and provide negative feedback about the car, all the while feeling badly they can't help more. (Test to see if client falters and carries thru with a bad deal). 3. If 2 doesn't work, have the Sales Manager call to apologize. Say something like, "I'm really upset with (those guys in the OTHER department). I don't know why they called you, but let me see if I can help." Make things right and get the client back thru the door. 4. Here's where i left off in the story.... They send Jon over to introduce himself. He is the asst mgr who selflessly offers himself as our Rock. If we need Anything, please track him down. He makes great small talk and plays with our 2 year old son. 6:00 - 7:10 my wife spends most of her time talking with Clay, while I chase my son around the dealership invading people's offices and stealing as many keychains as he can find. We both test drive the CR-V and of course love it. It's a great car. 7:10ish - "Clay, how much longer is this going to be? I need to cook dinner and get my son to bed." Clay - "Oh what are you cooking tonight?" Me - "Pasta primavera" Clay - "Mmmm, sounds good. It won't be long. We can make a food run if you like." Me - "Sounds great, let's do that." Relieved I won't have to cook. 7:20 - Clay returns with results from Finance, but NO FOOD. Snack lady comes over with more unhealthy carb snacks for my son. He needs vegetables and protein, not processed flour in the shape of fish. Clay begins to speak of things like Down Payment, Leasing terms, $686/monthly payments!!! Am I on a planet where everything I say is ignored? In what way was I not completely clear on why we were here? We pay an almost affordable monthly payment and will have the car paid off in 3 years. The Fit is an excellent commuter car that we are happy with. You called us stating YOU need OUR car. We're doing you a favor by bringing it in, which implies you do what's necessary to make us happy. 8:00 - I write down 3 things on his finance report: 1. It's 8:00 2. Under $X00/month 3. No Down Payment "Clay, I'm annoyed at this point. It's 8:00 and I need to start dinner and get my 2 yr old son to bed. You didn't get us any food and what we're looking for isn't on that piece of paper. This has been a waste of our time. We're leaving." A little back peddling and explaining that once he "Goes to Bat" for us on the trade in value and other discounts. Like he's really on our side, battling the evil Finance department. A hero for our interests. 8:30 - I tell Jon we're leaving. "Don't just bolt on us. At least tell us when you're leaving." Um, I just did, and I told Clay an hour ago, and we're still here. See Ya! My son went to bed an hour late and we ate dinner at 10. UPDATE: She went back in. They asked me to take down my review. I did. She got the CRV $0 down and $10/mo more. I find out months later, they talked her into a lease. Met an old employee who told me this is common practice. I've used up my 5000 characters read more

Classic Van Tuyl dealership... and I'm not sure that's a good thing. So many cheap tricks they should play "I Want You To Want Me" on repeat (1970s zing!). Among my experiences: asking me for a $20 bill (temporarily) as a symbolic gesture of my interest, classic take-away close from the Sales Manager, changing prices, badmouthing my trade-in and talk of "What do you want your payment to be?" Signing a piece of paper that talks about my commitment to buying the vehicle that day. Why does buying a car have to be like this? (The answer: it doesn't. Bell Honda played some of the same games and so this time I bought elsewhere, closing the chapter on my Honda ownership.) I do think the Service Department is great -- although last time I was in, a gentleman from Used Cars tried to hit me up while I was enjoying their complimentary popcorn, minding my own business with some cheap pick-up line: Him: "Hey, are you you the one looking to trade in your car?" Me: "Nope." (continues reading book) Him: "Oh. Well, WOULD you like to trade in your car?" Me: "Nice try." (continues reading, albeit slightly annoyed) Him: "Well, when you do, here's my card." Give the Service Department their own Yelp! listing and I'll give it a high mark. Combined, you're only as strong as your weakest link. Honda makes great cars and deserves better than this. Update 3/2014: Bought a Civic Hybrid here a few years ago. The deal was full of frustrating gamesmanship ("write down on a piece of paper that you are committed to buying a car TODAY") but that's not why I loathe them. Years later, they call incessantly. 5 or 6 times this week. I blocked a 480 number. Then calls came in from an 888. Each time I POLITELY asked to be removed from the rolls. "Sure," they said. "Doing it right now. You're deleted." And yet, call after call after call. Borderline harassment. Not only would I never give them my business, I regret I ever gave them my phone number. Do the same. read more

Unfortunately, I had a terrible almost nightmarish experience at this dealership in March 2016. I had been in an accident where I was rear ended and my car ended up being totaled. I have had a Honda in the past and figured that would be my best option. My whole accident experience was awful, as it always is, and I was looking forward to an excellent experience at Showcase Honda (especially because I had a family recommendation who works at another dealership) but excellent was far from the experience I received. My salesman, Jonathan was good. I liked him, I told him what I wanted and he barely hassled with me and presented me with exactly what I wanted. He did leave early for personal reasons, which is totally fine but in this exact situation it would have been easier if he was there. I signed my numbers with Jonathan and rang the gong and waited for the dreaded finance department. About 45 minutes later I was seen. I'd probably been there 4 or 5 hours by now so I was growing weary and hungry. When the finance guy presented the sheet for me to sign with all of the numbers, they were all numbers I had NEVER seen or agreed upon. I started to question him and he seemed to have no idea what was going on so he got some other manager to try to come explain where these mystery numbers came from and he also, had no idea what he was talking about. So they got ANOTHER manager to come in and he tried to explain it to me but I reached my point of frustration and was about to leave. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they wouldn't try to screw me over or anything, but I still feel like something is off. I went back to the dealership about a week or so later to have Jonathan fill my gas tank for all of the "trouble" I went through. The finance guy and both managers walked past me SEVERAL times and only one stopped and said "you look familiar were you here recently?" I felt like a piece of crap!!! Their wall says they treat you like family but you can't even RECOGNIZE your customers!!!!! I have also received MULTIPLE phone calls asking me about my service. I have told every person this same story and they always say "we are so sorry our manager will call you" no manager has ever called me. I'm almost disgusted with the lack of customer service at this dealership. UPDATE: the employee who responded to my rant couldn't even read the employees name right. It clearly says JONATHAN several times. Not Josh. Also, why should I call you? You should be calling me to make it right. read more

Preface: Showcase Honda Customer Service, just don't bother on commenting. You lost my wife and I months ago. To the average car shopper, please check my previous reviews. You'll notice that they're all positive. Why? Because I give companies a second chance before I go off on a tangent. And because Showcase had three opportunities...here's my tangent for your pleasant review. Yelpers be warned. Honda should have approached me years ago in regards to how loyal me and my family were to this brand. I'm that guy in college who bought a $375 1982 Prelude with 230,000 miles on it because it was the only thing a starving student could afford. Fixed it up, did a quick oil change, went to the junk yard to replace the dash, and finally put two new tires up front (you know, because I couldn't afford four at the time). This little Honda lasted for four years with nothing more than an oil change. On year five I went to S. Korea and sold the car to my best friend for $375. He eventually got t-boned in China Town three years later with no medical injuries and somehow got $1300. Honda had me...and my best friend. That car was that reliable and safe. But things have changed, especially after our experience with Showcase. To make it short, my wife was able to buy the car she wanted. It just took us five hours to do so because of the Finance Department. Four out of five hours was waiting in the lobby of Showcase after we had agreed to buy the car from the salesman. On hour three I kept on noticing a finance rep gingerly talk on the phone outside and casually shuffle some papers on his desk. Not once did he help a customer, except us...on hour four. The excuse: the previous customer forgot her car keys and I was "trying to track her down." Wow. Okay, I'm a pretty tolerant guy, I guess I accept your excuse...let's see how this goes. Obviously I lose my temper 20 minutes into the contract signing because the numbers and agreements were off. No big deal. It's just a bad apple, right? Two months later we get a nice email stating that "You're first oil change is on us at Honda Showcase!" My beautiful wife drives it down to Showcase and is called three hours later. The service manager was attempting to pressure her into $300+ worth of repairs on certified pre-owned vehicle we had bought two months prior. As any good husband would do, I give a call to the service manager to let him know that 1. We don't need the tires (they're perfectly legal) and 2. No thank you for the alignment - it drives perfectly straight at 40 mph. Because of the tone of conversation, my wife brings her supervisor to pick up the car with her and is greeted with disrespect while trying to provide the service manager with printed copy of the free oil change. I let it pass and reassure my wife that we'll take her vehicle to our own auto mechanic from this point forward. Move forward about a month and a half I receive a call from customer service inquiring how our experience went with the Showcase Honda. I let him know all of the above in addition to the previous customer service survey I took after the purchase, which was truthful but naturally negative. He explained that he would let management know, while reiterating encouragement to give "Honda the opportunity to fix this." This was two and a half months ago...and still no communication. Since we're in the market for a new car we've noticed the competition to be rather stiff for this segment of the car industry. Have I checked out any new Honda's lately? I'll admit, once or twice, but then I'm reminded of Showcase Honda. We've bought multiple cars over the years, and I have to say, this is by far the worst dealership I could have ever imagined existing in 2016. To end this long tangent, my attempt is to validate all of the previous negative reviews. Don't ignore them like we did. We ran through all of the previous reviews prior to going to Showcase. We ignored them because they had the car we wanted and because it was a convenient location. Don't make the same mistake if you're in the market for a new car. Every negative and positive review took effort. The numbers simply don't lie on this one. Edit: This review will be sent to Customer Relations via mail at: American Honda Motor Co., Inc. One star is really too many for this business. This is regarding the used car department..... Here are email excerpts from the salesperson in response to my inquiry in which I explained to him that I live quite a distance and didn't want to drive to the dealership if the car wasn't in good shape. My comments follow below: Angel: The CRV has a few minor scratches, no oxidation, no big dents, like new tires, leather looks like its never been sat on before. This vehicle is in immaculate condition. Me: I can tell you that the salesperson was surprised when he saw the front of the car! He even said "Oh, I didn't notice that". He obviously hadn't done his homework. Scrapes on the front and back to the degree where there was no paint left! There was even RUST on the car! Angel: That's why I am here, to help you out as much as I can and make sure you have all the information you need and to help utilize your time. I look forward to meeting you and possibly earning your business. Me: Really? Please don't talk about utilizing time when I drove out there for nothing....I lost time and money/gas. I then asked to speak to the manager who said he was sorry and that he would reeducate the staff. Reeducate? How do you reeducate someone regarding being dishonest? Something else that was odd....when I arrived, I asked for Angel but the person that I sat down with had a nametag on that said Atul. read more

So sad. I saw that they had a vehicle listed on their website. I emailed saying I would buy it and received a confirmation from a At, a leading salesman. Later that day Arnold the general manager called and said that it would be $1,000 more expensive and that they made a mistake on the Internet price. Classic bait and switch. Pathetic. I told them no thanks. How ridiculous j. Today's day and age. read more

My review is based on my recent online purchase with the dealership. I will give them credit that the process was smooth and not as painful as other dealerships BEFORE the sale close. AFTER the fact however, the process was very painful. I purchased this car over the phone with the very helpful salesman named Daniel. I explained to him that I will not step foot in the state of Arizona to pick up the car. I will need to register the car in New Mexico and have the vehicle shipped to my state. Simple enough. Daniel was competent to follow directions and shipped the car to NM. The horrible experience came when I received my 2013 Accord. I don't know what happened, but this dealership is so incompetent. WHY on earth would they register my car in AZ? I have to re-register my car in NM, and since I have a lien on the title, I have to contact Honda Financing to coordinate the re-registration. Now if ANY of you have had to deal with DMV or MVD, you all know what a PITA it is to deal with govt agencies. I have had to make several trips now to the DMV. In addition when this dealership shipped paperwork to my residence to close the sale, they sent confidential info (social security, date of birth, etc.) in an unseal envelope. They sent PERSONAL info thru the email in an envelope that was not even sealed or have tape over the flap. Who does that sh!t other than incompetent or completely dumb person? Also, when I received my car, gas tank wasn't full, car was dirty (wasn't even washed). Anyone who purchased a new or used car from a dealership...there are things you'd come to expect for playing the game. Things such as full tank of gas with purchase and having your car wash prior to delivery. When I received my vehicle without any of this sh!t, what do you think my reaction was? Anyway I wouldn't do business with this idiotic dealership ever again. When I contacted dealership about my experience...the sales manager response was "I'm sorry. The best I could do is offer you a car wash and full tank of gas. Bring your vehicle in to us and I'll get it taken care of for you." Hello motherfunker!!! Are you not EVEN listening? I live in NM. Why the fcuk would I drive the car 6 hours to get a wash by your stealership and for a full tank of gas? You gotta be the dumbest fcuker. Anyways, your experience might be different than mine. I already rated this dealership with all 1s when a Honda representative contacted me about my purchase experience from Showcase. read more

Why do most people hate the car buying process? It's got to be because of dealerships like this. I'm considering a certified pre-owned Honda Pilot. Bonnie greeted me. Nice person. Mentioned I wanted to test drive it, because I never have. Starts to gather my personal information, cell phone number, email address, tries to get information out of me about my trade, target payment, was I going to trade or finance, what I consider new with all the wonderful incentives they have going on... Etc. Got the manager involved. Walked away without giving back my drivers license The whole song and dance. Through the whole process, I mentioned several times that all I really would like to do is test drive the car to see if I even like it in the first place. Finally they started pushing me towards beginning negotiations on a brand new one. Unbelievable. All I wanted to do was test drive it, and then you could have had a chance to earn my business. Went down the street to test drive a Toyota. Super easy. I will consider giving them my business, but will not go to this Honda dealership ever again. UPDATE: Went to Auto Nation Chandler Honda. Was test driving a perfect used Pilot in a matter of minutes. Reviewing deals within an hour. SO much better of an experience than Showcase. I love my new Honda Pilot. Showcase its too bad you had to try to hard sell me when all I wanted was a test drive. read more

As much as I don't like to write bad reviews, I think it is necessary to warn other potential customers. Honda on Camelback is just looking for naive people to make money off. While shopping for a car I was offered 16%APR. The manager, with concerned look on his face, told me that with my credit, this is what I will pay. When I refused, 5 min later (after taking a run around the floor) they say: ok we can do 11%. Something just didn't feel right. I left. Another dealer had no problem offering me 4.99%APR. I have a better car now and I pay less per month. On October 6, 2015 I saw a 2003 Ford F-150 Supercrew, on the CarFax website, that caught my eye. The picture looked wonderful and the I love the information that I saw on the CarFax so I left my information and was promptly responded to by salesman Bryce. I set up an approximate time that I would stop over for a test drive. The next day I drove to the dealership during my lunch hour to check the truck out. I met Bryce and he brought the truck out so I could give it a test drive. The first issue I had was that Bryce started directing my where to drive, which was essentially around the block; not much of an opportunity to get on the highway to get up to some real speed. Never-the-less, I liked the truck as far as it drove and figured that before I pulled the trigger on the sale, I could ask for a longer test-drive. During the drive, I found that the radio played put there was no display. Bryce said that I would be able to replace the radio for around $75. First red flag; I would think that a salesman would start making a few price concessions. I subsequently found that the center console was coming apart, the in-dash cupholder was stuck and the passenger rear door lock actuator was malfunctioning. No big deal; I figured that it would give me a few negotiation points. We returned to the dealership and I told Bryce that I like the truck and wanted to know the out-the-door price but that I was under the gun and needed to get back to work. He did the typical salesman thing and wanted to know what I wanted to make the purchase immediately. I said that if he dropped the price $600, so that I would be able to have the issues that I had discovered fixed I would make a purchase. He said that it shouldn't be an issue and promptly introduced me to "Terry"? (can't remember but he was a big fella with a mustache). "Terry"and I went out to the truck and I pointed out my concerns. He said that the dealership could make good the problems but that the door lock issue would be an expensive problem. I said that I would need to talk to my mechanic and find out what it would cost before I would make a decision. "Terry" did his thing and went to the office to talk to somebody. He came back and said that if they fixed every issue would I buy for (a price) that I felt was reasonable. I said that I would and he told Bryce to start the paperwork. I interjected that I would not pay until the repairs were made and I was satisfied. He said that they would have to "have something" before they would make any repairs. I stated that I would not give anything until I knew the repairs were completed. When I asked if they wouldn't need to make those repairs anyway, he said, "No, we don't always do that." Leads me to think that they would sell the vehicle with the hope that nobody would notice. At that point, I really needed to get back to work so I left. If anybody from Showcase reads this, I am still interested in the truck but not until those repairs are made. You have my number and email address...... read more

Absolutely the worse car buying experience I have ever had. I took my car in for servicing and was basically held hostage by a over zealous salesperson. I was upfront and honest with him about my current situation and did not think I could be approved. He swore he could push it thru and annoyingly kept on pushing. Nicholas continued to oversell me many times on this car. He lied about the car getting 40 miles to the gallon. It gets 20. I told him the amount I was comfortable and able to put down as a down payment and he doubled it telling me that I would have to pay that again refusing to listen to me. He damaged the bumper in the test drive. I had to bring it in to be serviced which left me without a car for a day and a half. I could not get a straight answer from anyone as to the time it would take to fix a bumper. Service people said it was at collision. Collision people said they didn't have it. Collision people said it would take a few hours. Another department stated that the vehicle would take longer than a week. I called multiple times and finally got the process sped up. Showcase's communication skills are severely inept. After the car was purchased, I got calls from multiple departments demanding more info. Whatever happened to working with one salesperson and one finance guy. Calls to Showcase Honda have continually gone unreturned. No one knows their head from their a$$ at this company and everyone wants to pass the buck. They continue to blame their inefficiency on other departments. It has been two weeks since I purchased my car and they are still attempting to get the paperwork done. Buying a car is one of the most important decisions you make. This company has failed in multiple areas with their honesty and upfront communication and I will keeping on telling everybody. read more

Disappointed. This has to do with their service department... I have had a few things done to my car here, and while they haven't totally screwed me over, they haven't exactly been 100% straight up with me. My grievance is related to money rather than service. They will jack up prices in weasely ways if you have insurance or coupons or if the manufacturer is going to help cover a percentage of it. They've always given me decent service - they are pretty consistent in that department. They've even cut me "breaks" on price here and there which is nice. There's always a catch though... I had a quote to replace my A/C on my Honda CR-V and it was in the 2,000 dollar range. Other quotes were hundreds less for the same thing. It turned out to be a common issue and the manufacturer said they would cover some of it as long as I had it done at a dealership - well, that's fantastic that Honda would stand behind their product like that, but when I got my bill, it was like 600 more than I was originally quoted and then brought down significantly by Honda covering a portion of it. So in the end, I paid less but they still managed to screw both me and the manufacturer a little bit on that one I think. Most recently, I decided to replace a battery here - They gave me a price (the stock price that is displayed on the battery in the parts dept) and then I showed them a 20% off coupon on their own website saying free installation and all of that. They bumped the price of the battery up to MSRP and then discounted it 20% which ended up taking off about 80 cents. I pointed out that this wasn't right, and they stood firm and said they would be losing money on the battery if they sold it at the price they were listing. I found this to be underhanded and it was disappointing. I've had brakes done here as well - again, good job and they gave me a decent price considering it's a dealership. They wouldn't honor the coupon they had online, but they did work out some sort of discount. I know I'm going to pay a bit more going to a dealership, but I guess I come here because there's accountability. I feel like the number fudging is sort of minor in the big picture. It's probably all just smoke and mirrors anyway to make customers feel like they are getting a deal. If you want a real deal, go to a smaller shop with great reviews. That might just be what I do next time. Who knows. read more

Terrible customer service. They just wasted our time. This is a review of their sales department.

I bough a Honda as I've always been loyal to the brand. After multiple bad experiences (that were clearly and reasonably communicated to the dealer), no one has made any attempt to ACTUALLY fix my bad experience, rather to bug me via phone surveys until I either stop answering or give them a good review (without them earning it). Because of my experience with this car, I only bring my car here when obligated because of electronic diagnostic tools. Additionally, I will never buy another Honda car again. read more

My review is of HondaPartsUnlimited.com, Showcase Honda's online OEM parts store. I've ordered from them in the past with no issues. My last order is what's prompting me to share a review. June 30th: I ordered and was charged for a part. July 16th: I email inquiring about the status of my order. July 19th: Receive a reply saying its on backorder with no ETA. I respond asking when was I going to be notified of this and to cancel/refund my order. July 20th: I receive email notification of refund July 24th: Saw the refund posted to my bank I felt this was bad business. I received no heads up about my part until I asked over two weeks later. And even then, no explanation on why I had to ask vs. them informing me about my order. It was a small part but something I really need. I could have ordered and had it in hand a lot faster from another vendor. HondaPartsUnlimited will be my last resort for OEM Honda parts now. read more

I consider myself a very tolerant person, and have never given any business such a bad review. But if I could write a review with negative marking this would be my pick. The used car section at Showcase has the most unprofessional senior sales staff I have ever had to deal with. The gentleman kept trying to push us to buy without feeling comfortable/ test driving cars to our satisfaction. The guy was plain rude ... Used cars don't all ride the same depending on how they are maintained, but the gentleman kept telling us they are all the same and then kept quizzing us trying to be too pushy. I finally bought a car from Tempe Honda. It's a shame that a company like Honda has such unprofessional people working for them. If you really like Honda new / used try Tempe Honda instead. They have really helpful & professional employees. read more

I enjoyed clicking the "accepts credit cards" button on this review. They DO accept credit cards. During negotiations for a new car sale, the salesman asked for my credit card to show the manager I was "ready to buy". After unsuccessful negotiations, I eventually left (and bought a car from Tempe Honda shortly thereafter with a much easier transaction), I neglected to ensure I had gotten my credit card back from the salesman. I hope he enjoyed his trip to Whataburger and QuickTrip that day. It's on me, buddy! read more

Well........I have been coming here for a couple of years because of the convenience of the location. My philosophy with a Doctor or Dentist is travel to see them no matter how far across the valley you have to go. Well.......now I'm adapting this philosophy to my auto dealer. Every time I visit this place they have a laundry list of very expensive repair that need to be done on my car. That is not out of reason since my car is a 2004 model. This time they told me I have a leaking Power steering line that will cost me $583. Ohhh, but don't worry I will give you a rental car and a $100 coupon. Forget it! I called another dealership across the valley and they quoted me $310. Same parts same labor time and a hell of a lot less money. read more

I purchased a 2015 Honda Fit in May from a salesman who quit the next day. I waited 2 months to get the floor mats promised to me by said salesman but after several calls, no one could remember the name of the man who had sold me his car or his promise even though I had text documentation. I had to drive out to the dealership to pick them up and once I arrived, the man working the service desk acted as though I was inconveniencing him during our entire transaction. Last week I received a courtesy call reminding me to schedule my first service appointment. The woman on the phone requested my name, number and vehicle model several times before repeating the information back to me incorrectly repeatedly. She informed me that I was well within the shuttle pick-up and drop-off range and would note in her system that I would need a ride to and from work. The next day, I called to change my appointment to an hour later and was told by a very curt man that shuttle services weren't offered for oil changes and that he couldn't be of any service to me. He hung up before I had the chance to speak with someone else so I called back and ended up speaking with a woman named Whitney who advised that I qualified for the shuttle and assisted me with changing my appointment. This morning, I went to the dealership and waited 30+ minutes for a shuttle to work before realizing that the shuttle driver hadn't even been alerted of my need for a ride. I requested an Uber that arrived 5 minutes later and made it to work 15 minutes late (even though I'd planned to have 30 minutes to get to work, seven miles away). At 11:05, Wyatt called and advised me that my vehicle was finished and that someone would be on their way to pick me up "in thirty minutes." At 11:12, he called to inform me that my work was outside of their pick-up range, stating that the dealership only provided service to people within 10 miles. From Showcase to my office, it's 7.1 miles - something I had mentioned on my initial phone call last week, as well as during my conversation with Whitney AND in person with Wyatt this morning. I alerted Wyatt of this and he said, "Oh. Someone will be out," and hung up. I just called back, spoke with Whitney and asked to speak with Wyatt about the arrival of the shuttle. She advised me that he wasn't at his desk and asked if I'd like her to take a message. Now an hour and 16 minutes later, I'm still waiting on my "thirty minute" pick-up ride and will be looking for another Honda dealership in the valley to service with. Not impressed with the lack of service from this dealership's employees or with myself for ever recommending this dealership to friends/family and coworkers. read more

If you have any self-respect, don't go to this dealership. The salesperson I worked with (Brice) was very pleasant and actually listened to what I had to say, but the "Sales Manager" (Mike Jamison) was condescending, phony, and got rather vicious when I told him I didn't have any more time to spend waiting for them to get to the number I was asking for. A few choice quotes from him (as he stood with his feet planted wide and his hands on his hips) included: "This isn't a drive-through," and "No one's going to Hawaii off this deal," and "I guess you don't really want to buy this car." Really??? Is that why I've spent three hours here and driven up from Ahwatukee twice? I did want to buy the car, and I told them at least a dozen times how much I was willing to buy it for, but they still wanted to waste my time and play games with me. At one point, after presenting me a deal nearly $1000 over what I had REPEATEDLY said I would pay, he said he would go make a phone call to see if he could work something out. I then watched him walk into the "glass room" and yuck it up with other employees for 15 minutes before coming back and telling me the price on the internet didn't include certification fees, blah blah blah. And yes, I would have chosen no stars if possible. Don't waste your time!!! read more

I purchased a used BMW i3 from Showcase Honda on 7/1/23. When going through the purchase process, I was sold an extended warranty for my used vehicle (smart considering BMWs are notoriously unreliable and costly with repairs). I was lead to believe that the warranty would cover electric vehicles even though it was primarily geared towards gas powered vehicles. On 4/12, 11 days after purchase, the AC stopped working and I took the vehicle in for diagnostics. The condenser unit had gone bad and should have been covered under the warranty I purchased. Turns out it wasn't and the dealership covered the cost ($5,000). On May 10 I was back at the dealership with an error code stating to check the drivetrain. During diagnostic they could not pinpoint the issue but did notice that the AC temperature gauge was broken. They replaced at a cost of $900. Fast forward to July and the car is again in the shop with an AC issue. Again it is not covered by the warranty and is expected to cost me $5,000 more. Adding up total repair costs since purchase the car has cost more in repairs than it is worth ($10,900). If I were you, I would steer all the way clear of this dealership. They are dishonest and over priced. I have opened a case with the BBB to investigate consumer fraud. read more

I agree with all the other reviews. This place is by far the worst auto dealership in Arizona. All the sales people are in their 20s. When you close a deal on the car , expect 3 hours wait to get to the financing person even though you are paying in full for the car. Also another really ghetto thing is that they wanted us to bring cash because they don't take checks. I did not expect this low level service from a Honda Dealership. read more

Had no issues with the car salesman.... But when the manager came he was so rude, he ask why was I there told him I was just looking a numbers before committing and he literally said and I quote then "why are you here then if you're not gonna buy a car!" told him I was not comfortable and push and wanted my car keys back to leave ! I would never recommend Honda just because of this so call manager worst customer service ... went to Toyota and got even a better deal ! Managers name is Adrian read more

I dealt with Mike Gibbs after receiving an offer from Capital One to finance a car. I also had multiple calls & emails from other salesmen before I decided to call back. I emailed Mike 2 cars I was interested in & asked specifically if they qualified. I also asked because the price was so low what monthly payments would be ESTIMATED at. He gave me a formula that worked out to about 200 a month. Totally doable. Only I get there & the 2 cars DID NOT qualify-but he immediately runs over to another car that I can qualify for (my credit is bad.) I like the car. I say ok. Let's work numbers. I get in at 335.00-a far cry over the 200.00 I anticipated. Again, I said ok. Only I was called back a few days later to "finalize" paperwork. What the hell was I there 4 hours for? I go back in, bank rejected that rate, putting me instead at 395.00. I cried. Because really I am a single mom that's having to budget my already tight budget even tighter. I had a 1993 Toyota that mechanically ran well-the ac just didn't work & it was close to a 1000.00 fix. So I signed the paperwork. I'd just say buyer beware because that has never happened to me or anyone else I know but apparently nothing was set in stone when I left. So, the great deal I had since the priced well under blue book value went out the window with all the damn interest. Hopefully I can get the car paid off quicker than 5 years. I haven't had any annoying follow up calls yet, but it's still early enough. read more

These guys are unethical liars. And don't expect you will get any correction or right-treatment from the GM or his assistant Rita Welch... They will only waste more of your time and add to the frustration that their sales staff begin. Just read the other YELPs listed here and you will see definite trend. I have had all kinds of car-buying experiences at many dealership, and most of them have been great!!. i LOVE to buy cars. It is so satisfying when I feel like a i get a good deal while at the same time the dealer enjoys selling me a car. don't waste your time at Showcase... they care nothing about integrity nor doing what their "Best Price Guarantee" offers. My experience at Showcase has really tainted me. However, I suggest you go to Tempe Honda. Those guys were great. That is where we bought our new car. read more

I was going to buy an SUV that I saw on their website. Aaron McDonald was the gentleman I was in contact with. He explained the process of a $500 deposit/hold for the vehicle. Mr. McDonald emphasize that for any reason, I did not like this vehicle, the $500 would be refunded. He also strongly encouraged to take a thorough test drive. At the time of deposit, I thought that would be the vehicle for me. I was ready to buy it. But after the test drive, I realized that this particular vehicle would not suit my needs. Thank you so much Aaron McDonald for your professionalism, and being so courteous, and also putting up with my back-and-forth on my decision-making. I also had a short chat with the sales manager, Mike Fratto. Again, another professional/courteous and understanding of the customers needs encounter. Showcase Honda quickly refunded my $500 deposit. Experiencing this positive interaction with all of the staff at showcase Honda. I would not hesitate in the future to try to do business with them again. read more

I purchased my new 2017 Honda accord at showcase from the second a arrived Ollie Jurcau made site i was taken care of completely during the whole process. I came in today for my first service Ollie remembered who i was and made sure my first service was done and made sure i was comfortable the entire time. If anyone needs a car i highly recommend showcase Honda and make sure you talk to Ollie first he'll get things done right the first time. read more

I recently just purchased my 2021 Buick Encore from here. I love my car but I wish I could've purchased it somewhere else. I had a terrible experience with Rhinell the sales guy who just started 2 weeks ago and refused to listen to my needs. He scheduled me to come see a vehicle that wasn't even ready to be test driven, when it was time to talk numbers he completely disregarded my request and my needs. My spouse and I ultimately were going to walk out until I believe his name was Dave came to work numbers, although Dave was flexible he talked about his team if they were below him or incompetent. The best part was the new finance lady who was kind and knowledgeable. There was a crack in my tire that we had to ask to be fixed 3 different times. I had to come back 3 days later to get it fixed. When I finally went to pick up my vehicle, Ishmael, who knew nothing about my sale, helped. He was kind and then once I got my FOB it was clear it wasn't the full key, he stated he would order me a new key... its been two weeks and I still don't have a new key. I wouldn't recommend showcase honda to anyone I know and although I love my car I am sad that they are the ones who got the sale, cause not one of them deserve it. read more

Charming sales people; terrible service advisors. The purchasing experience might be pleasant, but the maintenance life of your car will require dreadful personal experiences with the service department. Oil changes are cake, but anything beyond that won't be addressed well - specifically issues under warranty. An employee shared they prefer to do work outside of the warranty time frame as warranty work only pays them half what they would otherwise charge. Unfortunately, I had to visit the Showcase Honda service department for a reoccurring issue that would set off my check engine light due to a fault fuel tank. The issue spanned 5 months and was ultimately resolved by a different Honda dealership that seemed to care about the safety of the vehicle and their service reputation and not solely making max profit for any given issue. You being extremely concerned about your vehicle is not their concern - unless of course there's a survey involved and then they'll subtly mention the upcoming survey while sweetly checking you out. Save yourself a trip and work with a different dealership. Interacting with Showcase is stressful and not at all what I anticipated when purchasing my car at this dealership less than a year ago. read more

Had my very first car buying experience in my life and I wish I could have those precious hours back. Worst experience I ever had in a place that should do ever in its power to cherish the customer relationship. After reading all the other reviews I must say that I'm glad I'm not the only one with a nightmare experience. I don't even want the car. I had it less than 24 hours and is already in the shop because of repairs that shouldn't even be required in BRAND NEW 2016 PILOT TOURING! I'm going to do everything in my power to undo this deal and they changed the contract on me 3 times after congratulating me and shaking my hand. Mind you this was a signed contract. In my business when someone shakes your hand it should mean something good not that someone is trying to bend your over and screw you! I will never buy anything from there again. I will tell people to steer far from this place. The only saving grace is Dan in the service department. He's sweet and wonderful. I am so sad and disappointed that they turned what should be something happy and exciting into something hellish. I want my money back they can keep the car in not going to go pick it up. The only way they can save this is by shaving another $5000 off the price. Long story short I should have gone to another dealership I still might. To be continued... read more

After visiting 22 dealerships, small and large, we had the worst experience here. We felt bad for the salesman. He did his job, was friendly, and listened. When he went in to get his card his sales manager came out and wanted to know why the salesman hadn't sold us a car. What? We came to see a car that we didn't like. End of story. Again he asked what it would take to get us into a car that night. Really? He even demanded that the salesperson get all of my info right now. Wow, talk about being condescending, pushy, and flat out rude. The next day I got a call from another sales manager asking me the same question. "Why hadn't _______ Sold me a car!" Sales guy, you did a great job find another dealership that cares about you and your customers. You deserve it. Any qualified sales manager knows happy employees, happy customers, equals repeat and loyal customers. read more

If there's a worse service department in Phoenix I'd hate to see it. Had a 1:00pm appt. for a simple oil change but upon arrival I was told they would not be able to get to it till 3:00 or 3:30pm. Really? I told the service guy that I had an appointment for 1PM and his answer was that Saturday was a busy day. To hell with that. I left Showcase and drove to Walmart and was in and out in about 30min. No appointment needed. read more

Obed Castillo, Sales and Leasing Consultant, treated us very well during our purchase and throughout the entire process. Mr. Castillo was extremely knowledgeable about the Honda we were looking at - which is always important when shopping. He was very respectful and assertive and good following up with us to make the purchase run as smooth as possible. We bought a used vehicle with my Mother-in-Law and had many questions and a few schedule restrictions. I would consider us to be educated buyers and are quite familiar with the process. Mr. Castillo was very easy to work with and made this enjoyable for my Mother-in-Law. I am writing this review a month later and have no regrets working with Mr. Castillo. If you need a salesperson at Showcase, ask for him! read more
