The experience started out good but once they had the signed contract getting someone to return your call requires an act of congress. I purchased a used vehicle that came with one key and I was promised a 2nd key. I called a number of time and spoke to the sales manager and although he promised to call me back with an update he never did. I give up. Sad. I am planning to give this car to my daughter within the year and will need to purchase a new car and I promise you that it will not be from this dealership. read more

My entire life everyone has told me how lucky I was that I never had to purchase a car from a dealership. Friends and family had told me horror stories about sleezy salesmen that wanted nothing more than to swindle you out of your hard earned money. Needless to say, I was very skeptical about buying a new car. I'm talking, "maybe I can just drive my 2008 car until it dies" level skeptical. But I finally decided to take the leap when I saw my Honda CR-V listed for such an amazing price online. I set up a meeting with a representative from Showcase Honda at what I thought was going to be their Peoria location. When I arrived it was not a dealership but a full on 30 car vendor tent sale. Remember earlier when I said I was nervous just to go to a dealership? Queue extreme anxiety. I walked in and was directed to my sales representative, Albert. I already knew which car I was looking for and Albert brought it around for me to test drive. We spent most of the ride going over the car's Carfax and he answered all of the questions that I had with proficiency. Once we finished the ride, I knew that I needed to take this car home. Albert got together all of the paperwork for me and we spent time going over all of the costs as well as the value of my trade in. To my surprise, I was able to get quite a bit of money for my 2008 Scion TC and I ended up only slightly over what I had been wanting to spend on a new car. The paperwork process was clear and straight forward. I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of through fine print disclaimers, confusing math, or lack of transparency. Albert felt like a friend, someone I could trust and I felt assured that I was getting the best deal I could ask for. I would 100% recommend Showcase Honda and Albert to anyone that is looking to get a new car. Albert was professional, honest, transparent, and made me feel at ease during one of the most anxiety inducing purchases of my life. Thank you for all of your help and continued support! read more

Came in for a new car in the beginning of the month only to be toyed with . They shipped my credit around after I told them allow me 48 hours to make my decision if I wanted to go any further in my car buying process so I only agreed to them and only them checking my credit they lower my score significantly . Worked w Brice (terrible salesman) who thinks he knows it all rather than listening w his heart he listen w his bank account . Tried pushing vehicles off on me knowing that I had no interest in them none what so ever as I came In w two models in mind . He didn't make good on any of his promises such as getting numbers on the vehicle I wanted . Told me "we need you here" ok I sat there last time for like 2 hours what mores do we need to take about seriously they already ran my credit seen that my score was great but yet they shopped me around played all these games I'd never buy from them ever again I paid for 2 cash out cars there (1 brand new Honda and 1 used vehicle) unfortunately for the. They will NEVER sale me on any of their business . If you looking for common sense and to be treated fairly don't go here as it's a waste of time it took 12 hours to buy a cash car here my first time years back and then they had the nerve to wanna check my credit then offer me auto credit after I came w cash so stupid anyways good luck yall read more

I went in for service on Motor mounts, when I paid over $900, my a/c was blowing hot air. I assumed it was because of the heat! My mistake was not coming taking care of this issue. Now I have to wait until Monday loose time off from work and to have this problem resolved! I came back to the Honda location and there we unable to due to that their service department is close! I'm very frustrated. I'm living in Arizona and it's over 100 degrees. This is not justifiable service for a customer. read more

Here's ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF THERE "PROMISES" and "assurance's" ... 1- "Listen I'm going to be frank with you because you're my friend, you're not just a customer anymore save the drive to Fl and come to us I can have my manager talk to you for some reinsurance if you'd like but man we work with over 80 stores including some in California if anything we're your best bet to get this deal done and I promise we wont disappoint." 2- "I promise ill fight to get you the best deal possible if you can make it out." AS WE SPEAK IM in here outside SHOWCASE HONDA. I DROVE HERE ALL THE WAY FROM LOS ANGELES, CA because David and Joe and Daniel, their Sales Manager at the USED CAR LOT assured and reassured me 100 times that when I get there both the cars that I wanted would be available and ready. AND GUESS WHAT??? I'm HERE AND THEY ARE FREAKIN SOLD. Hahahahaha on you and your service. YOU GUYS HIRE 18 YEAR OLDS FOR JOKES AND FUN. read more

I'm not sure if it's just the service department that has an attitude, if I caught them when someone pissed in their cheerios, or the whole group owned management should have a reevaluation of business ethics. I purchased a car from Bell Honda on 12.8.18. The battery in the car died 3 times from 6.3.19-6.4.19. EVERY car sold on the lot, when certified pre owned, includes at least a 3 year 36k mile warranty. I happen to live closer, approximately 5 min away, to Showcase over Bell. Even though both stores share ownership. After speaking with a tech, and manager of the service department. Showcase refused to warranty out the battery. Giving me a comparison to the effect of. "If you were to buy a used car, and the battery was from auto zone then they wouldn't replace it without original documentation." Even though I purchased the car at a sister store. I went to Bell Honda, and they not only replaced the battery with no questions asked, but provided me with a comprehensive list of services done to my vehicle. I feel though that both locations would have a database sufficient to track purchases, or have managers courteous enough to check the other location for more information. It came across as though Showcase's employees were looking for reasons not to help. Instead of looking for a way to please the customer. Would not recommend this store to anyone based on multiple negative experiences with this location. read more

absolutely never going here again. they're only goal is to pull them as much money from your bank account as possible.. my salesperson never showed the vehicle to me that i requested to see. only cars that were more expensive and at the upper end of my price range. i was honest from the start about my situation. ended up leasing a vehicle. next morning, i had regrets & texted him, saying i wanted to return the car. note that at this point the leased car was still at the dealership. he said i just needed to come in and sign paperwork. when I went in, the script was flipped. I'm suddenly stuck with the car because the temporary license was already issued & the financing approved. they would only be able to sell the car as a used vehicle. he gave no options & didn't talk to anyone else. he wouldn't budge. so i went above his head. the only person who actually helped was Lindsey (sp?), their customer service manager. she worked with the GM & the salesperson and worked it out so i could return the car for a better deal. which i did. sort of. When i brought the leased vehicle in, i never saw the GM & the salesperson really didn't work with me. this is why dealerships have a bad reputation & places like Carvana & Tesla are becoming more popular. they get rid of the detritus that are car sales people. the car i ended up with is ok. the customer service from both the salesperson and the GM was rubbish. read more

Great place to buy a car!. Came in and wanted to buy a new CRV for my wife. Alexis Lopez help me gets the car that we wanted. We purchased our used Honda "certified" Accord in July. Two days later it had a flat tire. Of course we were told it was something we ran over and was not covered and no discount or help was offered. One month later we had yet another flat tire. At this point we just replaced it without contacting the dealership to avoid the aggravation. Now in September we have the third flat tire. This dealer will sell you a beautiful shinny car with tires they found in the dump. Oh and it now needs an oil change. They can't even have that done. We also received a recall notification and the last place we would trust is Showcase Honda. Thoroughly disappointed and will never buy another Honda in our lifetime. read more

Showcase Honda - Tire dump - Car Dealers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

first and worst car purchase experience here, took me 5 hours to bargain with three people from different department who tried to sell all the useless packages to me, I declined, and thought I made a "good" deal, then I signed everything without carefully checked each documents (was too tired to check each documents and price breakdown) and made the payment. The other day I got a chance to go over all those documents and found that all the packages I declined went back and they charged me way too much for each useless packages. Lessons learned and I was too careless and trust them and responsibilities was on myself too. Don't ever buy from them, and for any new car buyer, when buying cars, check every documents especially those related to charges and make sure they won't charge you anything except those you want! read more

RIP-OFF. Sold us a years old car, with an EXTREMELY high interest rate, claiming we could refi in a year. LIARS. SHYSTERS. RIP-OFF ARTISTS. NO ONE will refi a car older than 8 or so years. NO ONE. Also they confirm an online price via email, but when you get there the car is thousands of dollars more! Can we say bait and switch? Also their chat will not answer a simple yes or no question, wanting name and number, etc. Uh, how about NOPE? How about just ANSWER the question? Or what is the purpose of chat? 2 stars because of two reasons. First they tried talking me into a car i didn't want and somehow they convinced me. luckily my cosigner didn't sign yet. i had a change of heart. I ended up going to Bell Honda and got a better deal on a vehicle and one i actually wanted. Secondly, i put a down payment on the car that but the deal was never finalized. They told me 3 business days for my refund, but its' been 8 days and no refund as well as no returned calls and emails. It's as if they want to be petty for going to Bell Honda. which i told them. i suggest going to a different dealership. read more

I recently got a vehicle from this place. My advice, like many others who have left reviews is to NOT purchase a vehicle from them. They're snakes! Their numbers are all over the map and they ramble on about none sense, it's as if their selling approach is to "push and confuse". We were quoted 15 something and then when we get the paperwork it says 18,900 and the number never went back down to 15,000 as originally quoted because the finance guy "didn't know how the sales man came up with that number." What kind of shady business are you running here?! If we could've gotten out of the deal, we would have, but it was too late. Not only that, but, the vehicle started making a noise so we had to pull over on the highway to inspect. A piece of the front bumper was broken and dragging on the ground. EXTREMELY unsafe to sell a car to someone in that condition. Being that we were very upset about these experiences, we did like the fact they took the car right in to get both bumpers replaced and gave us a rental to use in the meantime. But doesn't negate the fact that these people are shady, the overall experience was a horrible one, and I'd encourage everyone to take their business to a reputable dealership. I've had good car buying experiences, this wasn't one of them. And please don't copy and paste what you write to everyone, Zachary, I'm not interested. read more

Run! As a woman in today's buying market I should be able to buy a car without this horrible disrespect. Showcase made a deal for me to buy a car and then proceeded to say they couldn't honor their own deal. This happened of course after I spent hours being jerked around. They like to walk away and come back like there lost but this is so you spend so much time there that you just take their new more expensive deal. They change the price of the car to over $2,000. plus dollars. Then proceeded to say the car was sold. Also they said the person who made the deal was new. But the finance man insured me that he had been doing this with them for years. Lie after lie. Just don't go there it's not worth your time disrespect or their pompous attitude. I will never buy a car there. My husband couldn't believe it. read more

I have purchased multiple new and used vehicles over the years and recently found Showcase Honda to be the most unethical , dishonest , and incompetent dealership I have ever done business with. Recently purchased a certified preowned 2016 Fit for my daughter. After settling on price we learned that the car needed a catalytic converter and would not be available for 7-10 days. She really liked the car and it had a super clean carfax so we proceeded with the purchase. After 7 weeks of unreturned phone calls and text I returned to Showcase and learned that the part was not on its way as the service advisor had been telling me for almost 2 months. My question is, had I not physically returned to Showcase, when would they have informed me that the car I was already making payments on was not going to be ready for another 8-10 weeks? Second Showcase Honda issue. While in financing I found the price on the contract to be $3000 more than the agreed upon price. Was informed that this was for non-negotiable and intangible "options" and was applied to all Showcase sales. Beware of this unethical practice at Showcase.... read more

This is absolutely the most terrible dealership to purchase from and they have no integrity. AGAIN!!! LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! THEY ARE TRUE!!! Not only do they sell lemons, but they do not stand behind the quality of vehicles they sell. If you purchase a vehicle from them and within 30 days it breaks down, they will tell you they will service it for you but they're going to charge you. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM as they DO NOT TRULY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! They live behind a lie to bring you in and only really care about fattening their pockets. THEY ARE THE EPITOME of why car salesman get a bad reputation. If you want to be taken advantage of with your hard earned money and purchase an unreliable vehicle, this is the place for you. Service department only: Completely lacking in communication and follow through. Came for an oil change and everything went well. Except my quoted hour turned into almost two and half hours. Missed an appointment with no communication during as to why it was taking so long. It's extremely easy to just walk over to the waiting area that's 50 feet away and explain there was an issue with a lift. Two days later my sunroof stops working entirely. Coincidence probably. Then I come in to have them look at it with the promise of a shuttle to take me to the gym while they look at it. So I wait in the customer lounge while they get a shuttle. An hour later I walk back over to the service office and they radio for a someone to go get a shuttle for me. So I decide to wait in the office. Then they tell me to take my car and bring it back another day when they can have more time. Complete lack of respect for my time. read more

This rating is based on the service department. I have not taken my car here in years, because there was always some unexpected "problem" with my car and I could never get out of there for hundreds more than I planned on spending. Found another repair shop which is courteous and honest and haven't looked back since..until I got a recall notice for one of my airbags and had to come back. I scheduled an appointment and drove in right on time. One guy at a podium just stood there and stared at me as I waited in my car for someone to help me. No one came out of any of the glass offices, and I know at least 4 people saw me drive in and wait. Finally, after ten minutes, I had to wander through the offices in search of someone to help me. The nice shuttle driver took me back to my house. The service was supposed to be done over an hour ago. They called to let me know they were finishing up, of course adding what additional services they recommend I get today...and no one has since called to let me know when I'm being picked up to get my car. I had to call twice, once because I was disconnected. The service team didn't have any record of the status on my car or the shuttle. So frustrating. Hopefully I won't have any more reasons to visit this dealer because I have never had a good experience here. It's disorganized and the whole team is in need of some customer service basic skills training. read more

Don't waste your time! There are plenty of other Honda dealers in the valley that would gladly take your business and treat you with prompt and courteous service. Me and my wife spent close to two hours working with the salesman and were undecided between a 2019 and a 2020 Honda Civic . We were already preapproved for a car loan by Capital One and told him we would make our decision and get back to him the next day. Next Morning, I texted him (at his preference) at 11:30 in the morning to let him know we were ready to purchase the 2020 and made an offer on the car. After not receiving a response till 3:00 pm, called him on the phone. He said he was busy with a customer and would call me back in 5 minutes. Never received a call back and called the sales manager an hour later and received a cold shoulder from him. Taking my business to Superstition Honda. read more

I have used this business for 11 years. It was generally the same until my last 3 visits. I have a CRV with only 50k. I have driven CRV's since 2010. I always planned for a larger bill at 30k and 60k. No more. They want $500 for this and $500 for that every visit. When you're shopping everyone is WONDERFUL! As soon as you leave it's a nightmare. I love my new car but regret buying it from Showcase. They were eager to sell me something but in such a rush to get me out because they were closing that they never went over all the features of my car, didn't give me the owner's manual, they didn't even get the title for my trade in. The Finance Dept failed to explain I'd have a double payment the first month- a DOUBLE payment during the holidays! I called my sales rep the day after I got my car, with questions about it since I don't have a manual & to see if he found the cargo tray he said he'd throw in, no call back. Someone else called though, saying they didn't have my title. I asked her to check with the rep because I was certain I'd given it to him. She said she'd call back if he didn't have it. No call back until 3 weeks later, the week of Thanksgiving, while I was in the middle of a move, demanding I either pay them $50 for a duplicate or find my title and come in ASAP. I got another phone call the next week, from a man claiming to work for the alarm company, he wanted to know if the alarm on my new car was activated. I called Showcase to ask if that was a legitimate call & to ask about the alarm I wasn't aware I had (no one went over that "feature") I left 2 messages & had to call a 3rd time before I spoke to anyone. Even trying to get my car in for my first oil change was an annoying experience. So much so that I'd rather pay someone else than get the first free one from them. The double payment deal was the final straw. Offering to buy me a cup of coffee for my troubles isn't enough & it's definitely not going to change my mind about this dealership. read more

Showcase gets ZERO stars. My FOURTH sales rep, Shawn Snow, gets the star in this nightmare experience. Wish I worked with him on day 1. Got the car, not sure if it was worth the hassle or money. 18 Hrs (over 4 days) TOTAL at the dealership. Ridiculous. Their customer service rep Nique claims they're all about transparency, NOT, which is how I unknowingly ended up with a demo car instead of a new car. I was mislead, info was left out, the fact that it was a DEMO car was not mentioned until the day after, when I picked up the car. Why did I pick up the car the day after? Because my salesman, Rosco, blatantly lied during negotiation that I would be getting a Civic from another dealership, not the one sitting on the lot that had issues and was not running. Surprise! That's the one I got! During negotiation, I felt belittled (using salesman lingo & numbers at me knowing that as a first time new car buyer, I would not understand, briefly mentions car has 800 miles but strategically averts my attention to all the numbers and things), insulted (when Rosco tried to use Starbucks giftcards as part of the deal when he couldn't get me a lower payment - WTF! Who does that?!), bullied (when I wanted a higher value on my trade in but Rosco said no, saying that it needs 4 new tires & the paint was not good, this and that). There was also another salesman Greg, who didn't say much, but his presence still added to the uncomfortableness. My boyfriend was very vocal about being hungry for HOURS. "Oh you can get food after you sign this." Sign and he'd come back with more numbers. Sign, disappear, talk, sign, disappear. Food did not happen until about 7:30pm (our appt was at 2pm). WE told the sales guy to order a pizza for us. We were there from 2pm to 9pm. 7 hours of awfulness. I did not realize it is literally a fricking battle. Day 1 at honda (12/18/16): Negotiations w/ pushy salesman jerk Rosco and Greg. 7 Hours. Day 2 at honda (12/19/16): Pick up the car and NOW he mentions it's a demo car (driven by GMs, employees, GMs' wives, etc) but still considered a "new" car, not comfortable taking the car but Rosco keeps pushing it on me and assures me it's a perfect car. 2 Hours. Day 3 at honda (12/27/16): Go to car at lunch and car is LIFELESS. DEAD! The terminal post had popped off the battery. ON A NEW CAR? Various Icons now lit up on my dash. I go to dealership after work around 5:30pm. I take my car to service and while waiting was approached by this CS guy, Brian. We start talking and he notices that I'm not happy about my "brand new car." I explain my experience to him. He tries to talk me into another car. We do a walk around with salesman Eddie (which was not done for me on the Civic!) and test drive the Accord Hybrid. It's awesome, I like it! They get me pumped about the car and we start talking numbers. After 2 hours of this, they tell me that they cannot do the deal and switch cars for me. WHAT? ANOTHER 2-2.5 HRS WASTED. On the way home, called the CS operations mgr Naomi and left her a voicemail stating that I am extremely upset with my experience at Showcase Honda. So many let downs. The next day, after some phone tag, I told Naomi what would make me happy would be A) an actual NEW car because I felt I paid new car pricing, not demo pricing, B) get more money discounted from the price I'm paying, or C) get my trade in back. Naomi offered to write me a check of $150 for the 800 miles on the car and stated that they had already given me more for my trade and they are taking a $2600 loss on the car. That's cool, but it was really more about the awful experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. I set an appt with her the next day, though she sounded very reluctant to do so. 4th day at honda (12/30/16): 9AM - met w/ Naomi and reiterated some of my points. They could swap me out for the black Civic that I did NOT want. Passed a blue hatchback and asked for numbers on that. They couldn't figure out the numbers before I had to leave for work. I received no follow up on the numbers, and I ended up calling Showcase at about 4pm. They couldn't give me the hatch for what I wanted it for. I get down there at 5pm. Shawn tries to work more numbers & when that wouldn't work, I finally asked to simply get my trade in back. I waited for 10-15 min for the manager and finally got up to ask again. The mgr, April, was SO RUDE and made it very apparent than I was an irritation to her. Really an awful woman. Getting my trade in was impossible apparently. She accused me of wanting to see them loose money because of the price I wanted for the Hatch was too low! She also had the audacity to ask me to come back on Monday because they were so busy with customers. So am I no longer a valued customer or what?! They magically find a NEW car for me. The nightmare has ended and can finally feel good about my car. The end. 2 hr (am), 4.5 Hours (pm). Shop around, do your research. Learn from my mistakes. This middle finger is for you, April. read more

Do not attempt to buy a car from this dealership, there is no communication between sales and finance. Sales promises one thing and finance cannot deliver. Salesmen are experts with inflated promises, and lack of transparency in their repertoire of communication in addition to making the reason finance could not deliver the customers fault. Returned a car after 4 days of being led around one circle after another. In addition they tack on an extra 3k of dealer add-ons as a money making scheme, that is off loaded to the consumer. They are the reason car salesmen have about the same level of trust worthiness of an some lower class attorneys. read more

Just bought a new (used) car from Showcase used cars, and after an electrical issue was discovered on it after getting it home, they stepped up to the plate! Was hoping the issue would reset/go away or hopefully a minor issue, but I was wrong - it was a major issue, entailing $5000 worth of repair charges. After working with service, they hooked me up with a rental while my car was in the shop for a week. Then, after deciding not to fix the vehicle, Showcase brought in a similar vehicle with lower miles, which had a few more options as well. From sales, to service, to management - they helped me out! I sincerely wish NEGATIVE five stars was an available rating. This was truly the worst experience I have ever had in an auto dealership. I would NOT recommend you shop at showcase honda. In fact, I would recommend that you not even drive on camelback because it goes by Showcase Honda. I went in to look at a new accord. The salesman proceeded to tell me he had a perfect car. He wanted me to sign finance paperwork before I saw the vehicle. The car did not match any of the criteria I mentioned to him. I told him three times I wanted to pay cash for the car, yet he continually spoke of finance terms. I gave him my business card, and said I would be in contact. He told me to say a few moments longer as he shuffled over to a glass room. After about ten minutes I got angry and started to walk out. Only to find that the salesman and a guy at the desk were on my companies website. I knocked on the glass, and the salesman was quick to tell me goodbye. When I returned to my office, my assistant told me that Showcase Honda had called and was attempting to verify my position with the company and get my personal contact info. read more

I later found out that it was because they had a better deal on the car they were pissed from day one that I found this car on auto trader for $7000 less than the listing price. And to top it all off they not only accuse me telling me that my paystub's were not sufficient enough for the bank I told them I could give them whatever documentation they needed they wouldn't hear it they wouldn't allow me to give them anything else and then the Director James who I will be going to the BBB and his higher up proceeded to steal my key fob that was left on the keys that I gave them from returning the vehicle. I wonder which disease infested gutter the owner of this dealership scrapes to find his sales staff... I have never been to a sleazier, shadier dealership anywhere. Ever. The owner installs a ridiculous "performance package" to every single car on the lot. This bullsh!t package consists of pinstripe stickers, cheap crap adhesive plastic trim on the wheel wells and worthless colored tape on the door edges. I asked the salesman what is the purpose of the thin, cheap trim on the wheel wells? He said it is "to protect the car from rocks and debris". I told him that's what the OEM splash guards at the bottom of the wheel well are for. And I asked him how a .5mm thin cheap plastic bumper sticker at the top of the wheel well is going to protect the paint from anything. He got pissy, and literally starting whining like a 13 year old girl. I then asked him what was the purpose of the tape (about as heavy-duty as electrical tape) on the doors and he said it was to protect the door edge from scratches and dings when the door hits another car. When I told him that the polymer OEM Honda door guards were far cheaper and 1000% more effective + durable, he again started whining like a little baby. They also wanted something like $700 for the most sh!te tint job I've ever seen. The crap already had blisters in it! To sum it up--the owner and his entire staff are D-bag sheisters. That's all you need to know. Caveat emptor. read more

So the next day, after many phone calls, they promise to refund the credit card for the extra charges. The total charged "in error" was $805. They also say that there are more papers to sign and that they could come to my wife's work and she could sign them there. Hell no! We scheduled for someone to come to our house when I was there to read over the new paperwork. They said they would be there tonight. Then they read my Yelp review and get a little upset. Brandon calls and says the deal is off, they are losing money on this deal and they are trying to "make it right", blah, blah, blah. The only way they will refund the overcharge is if I delete this review. So, I tell them that I will be happy to update my review once the refund has been made. They refunded the $805 overcharge and true to my word, here is the updated review. You still suck. Buy a car from anyone else. read more

Add me to the list of people who are underwhelmed and dissatisfied with this dealer. I purchased my vehicle in 2004 and had a generally good experience, once which I chalk up to bringing my Dad with me so I wouldn't get taken advantage of by dishonest salesmen (sad but true). In that time, I've only had a couple occasions to return, one being a factory recall on some part (which was repaired free of charge), an occasional oil change, and just about a year ago when my AC died. Each of those visits were unremarkable. A few weeks ago, I received another factory recall notice on an airbag valve, so I scheduled an appointment for yesterday afternoon to have it repaired. At the same time, I asked to redeem a coupon for a discounted oil change and car wash. I left the car off at 12:30pm and was told it would be just a couple hours before it would be ready. Surprisingly, less than 90 minutes later, I received a call letting me know the car was ready. My service tech, Tom, also told me he performed a free service inspection and found a few things needed to be replaced. This is what he listed on my invoice: Front ball joints worn out: $454 Oil pan gasket leaking: $339.95 Timing belt: $382 He advised I should have these things taken care of ASAP and he would be happy to schedule an appointment for me. I asked him which, if any of the three items, needed to be addressed right away. He said the timing belt was looking ok, but given the mileage of the car, it needed to be replaced since it hadn't yet gone out. He said the oil pan was saturated and was surprised I wasn't seeing oil on my driveway (I haven't seen a drop). He also said the ball joins were worn enough that I was risking my wheels falling off at any time. At that point, I felt pretty certain he was full of crap. I paid my $27 for the oil change and left. Once I got back to the office, I called the wonderful guys at Jack's Austo Alignment & Brakes for a second opinion. I explained what I had been told and the gentleman on the phone pretty much confirmed my doubts. He told me to take the car in and he would look at it free of charge. Sure enough, after he put the car up and took a look, he told me there wasn't a thing wrong with the ball joints. Not only were they not even loose, neither they or the boot worn out. He expressed his disgust and apologized on behalf of the dealer. In addition, he gave me the name and number of another reputable service shop which specializes in Hondas and Acuras - the very place he takes his own Honda. I always expect to be swindled by big car dealers. I'm fortunate enough to have family members and friends who have reputable places to recommend - not to mention Yelp! I'm thankful my car is in great shape and that once it's paid off in a few months, I'll be able to drive it for a long while before having to deal with a new purchase again. You can bet, though, that I will not shop at Showcase Honda. One last thing to mention. Remember that free car wash which was included in the oil change? Yeah, not so much. The windshield was essentially wiped down with a wet cloth before they switched on the wipers to dry it off. How can I tell? My wipers are shot and leave streaks after each use. Also? The same dried splotch of bird crap I saw two days ago is STILL on my moonroof. I understand free is free, but seriously... if you don't want to take the time to actually wash the car when you advertise you will, don't even bother in the first place. Stay far away from this place. read more

I wouldn't buy another new car from these folks ever again. It looks like my experience matches many of the ones others have had. I picked Showcase Honda because their online advertised price for the car I wanted was a very good deal. So I call them up to verify it was in stock, and it was. I made an appointment to see it. When I got there, the sales person I spoke to wasn't even there. So I used one of the other ones just hanging around. I test drove the car, and it was what I was expecting. Here's what annoyed the hell out of me. I asked the sales person what can you do for me with the price. He comes back with MSRP. Are you f***ing kidding me? I said that won't do. Go back to your "manager" and present me with a respectable deal. They come back a few grand lower. But it's still a few grand higher than THEIR ADVERTISED PRICE for the same exact car. Not needing to waste any more time, I tell them that I want the Internet advertised price. He goes back to the manager and comes back. They can't match that price unless I have a printout proving the price. WHAT?!! I'm sure they already looked up the car on their Internets in the office. What sleazebags. Well of course I had a printout! :) So they accepted my offer. But that's not all that annoys me about this place. They like to add the "Showcase Honda Package" to all their cars and charge a $1000 on top of it. What does that include? Window tint, pin stripe, plastic cover over wheel wells, and a foam plastic tray in the trunk. Total cost of parts, maybe $40 plus 30 minutes to apply. What a crock of poop. They use this as a way to charge you more, so that when they discount it a few hundred dollars, you feel better about it, even though it's worth NOTHING. Lastly, paying for the damn thing took FOREVER! I've purchased many new and used cars before. This one took 3 hours to process me out. There was the presentation about the features and benefits. There was endless waiting. There was the finance manager who told me about his personal life (actually he was a great guy!). There was the last car presentation inside the car. I mean come'on! Get this down to 1 hour TOPS and save your customers some time. All in all the price I paid was lower than Edmunds TMV. Fair enough for me. I just wasn't expecting to fight for an advertised price! Oh' and the sales guy who blew me off? Since he still made the appointment, he still got 50% of the commission! Bottom line, know what you're getting into with these clowns. read more

If you enjoy haggling, being jerked around, and have hours to waste on negotiating, then this is the dealership for you. Even better, if you love multiple phone calls the next day because a dealership fails to meet, or even come close to your terms but then all of the sudden 'can work something out' the next day, don't walk...RUN to them. On the plus side, our original sales person was awesome...I'd probably hire her to come work for me if she ever chooses to leave the ass-kissing, bullshitting, car dealing business. read more

Fool me twice, the shame is on me and I take responsibility for this situation, but I am done with the service department at this dealership. This is the second time that the bill for my service was questionable, to put it mildly. I still have yet to understand how a 30,000 mile servicing, plus an additional fuel system cleaning (which I foolishly agreed to) amounted to over $700. I dropped my car off for the 30k mile servicing which should have run around $400. I was also urged to take a fuel system cleaning service. I was in a hurry to get to work so I verbally OKd this service. Where I was particularly foolish was that I left without taking a written estimate. I went to work, was called later in the day that my vehicle was ready and I collected it the next morning. Again, rushing to get to work, I signed off the on the $700 without questioning, hoping to make heads or tales of it later. Again, 100000000% my fault and my responsibility, but who DOESN'T give a written estimate? Since when should a customer ever have to ask for this? Although I should have known better to trust ANY car dealership and should have insisted on a written estimate and questioned the charges before collecting my vehicle, I think it is essential that we all be able to trust those with whom we do business. Showcase Honda utterly failed and even after completing a survey conveying my complete dissatisfaction, I have not heard one thing from them. So lesson learned to me: get that written estimate and go through everything with a fine-toothed comb. In the mean time, folks I would avoid this dealership altogether. As I said, this is the second time that the cost of service has been questionable and it won't happen a third time. I'll go to Tucson for servicing before I ever bring my car back here. read more

This dealer is the reason why people hate car shopping. Dishonesty, aggressive tactics, and they are unconcerned with what a possible customer wants. We did not buy a car here. There are a variety of reasons why. When we stopped by the lot to look at vehicles and get more information, we definitely got the hard sell (from Tom Flanagan). We told them we were just getting information and that they were our first stop. After several dodgy (and later found to be untrue) answers, we decided to leave. They pushed us to make an appointment to come back in and we declined. We specifically told them to not call us too often, as this would actually deter us from buying from them. They of course called us four times within 3 days (and more later). Within a day, I sent out several requests to dealers (via Edmunds) to get information about different vehicles. Showcase was included in that list. Out of the 20+ dealers I contacted, Showcase was the worst to deal with. I never got the information (an OTD price) I requested with over 6 e-mails going back and forth (with Alex Ivanov and Matt LaRussa). They purposefully instead would give me a price for a vehicle we weren't interested in, even after I told them 4x EXACTLY what we wanted. Every other dealership was able to do this, some with just one e-mail. While sending e-mails back and forth, Showcase would call at least every other day (too often). Once even twice a day, often three days in a row. This went on over a two week period. Meanwhile, Showcase set up a test drive appointment without me showing interest in doing so. This led to even more e-mails reminding me of an appointment that I never made. And a call from them later because they wanted to reschedule the appointment. Based on the numerous e-mails, telephone calls, and people we had contact with at Showcase Honda, I don't think this is a few bad apples in the bunch. I think it's how the dealership as a whole tries to do business. PS. Almost a month later and telling them we're not buying from them, I'm still getting e-mails. read more
