The service department at Showcase Honda, specifically Jerry McLeod and Sal Pignata, repeated lied to us concerning our oil consumption issue with our 2010 Honda CRV, notifying us that our oil usage was "normal". We were burning though 3 quarts of oil per 3000 miles. Honda has since recently recalled the vehicle due to high oil consumption and repairs have been made under this warranty (by another dealership), validating our concerns. American Honda (national) has apologized but we have never heard from Showcase Honda regarding this. This issue was both aggravating and costly for us. Hopefully management will take constructive steps to better educate these two employees to eliminate future occurrences. read more

My daughter bought a 2022 Honda Civic Sport on 06/20/2021, Willie was great , he was are sales person , Trey the business Manager was also great and very thorough. We had to take the car back because one of the tires was losing air , we had the worst experience ever , James Whitneybell in the service department gave us the worst customer service . He gave us the run around, first the tire was covered and then it wasn't, we informed James of the warranty we purchased, the platinum which states it's covered, we even verified this with the business manager , he still stated we would have to pay over 200 dollars for the tire, after we asked to talk to Service Director Sean Hoops did he say they would fix it . We were there for 3 and half hours waiting for a tire to be replaced. So frustrating and unprofessional. read more

do not trust these men and women here. they have smiles on only because they're profiting off of us. they're not in it to see your happiness. I bought my truck November 2023 and there was electrical issues with it from the start. they convinced me I needed their Gold warranty package. I told the lady "I just want basic stuff like if my battery dies or if the truck breaks down and I'm stranded on the side of the road." I'm a new mom with a toddler and this was all I wanted. they said "ok we can do the platinum package. seems a little more like that you want." so I did. and I don't remember how much that added onto my bill but it had a comma in it! so here I am this very day today and my battery died. I call them and not only am I transferred back and forth 5 times, they end up telling me "usually batteries aren't covered under any warranty. but I'll have the right person call you." then they transfer me one more time saying "it should be covered. let me find the right person to call you." so I wait. and wait. and wait. and finally someone calls... and they're confused as to what I want. and why I called. and why they have to call.... so I explain to them the whole story and they say "you know we don't actually have anything to do with that. I can have the right person call you back." I'm irate at this point. so we just decide "forget it! we will just go buy another one." then finally the guy calls back and confirms that the battery is not covered. this establishment, and ALL dealerships, should give a heads up like "just so you know it's not a new battery in the vehicle. we aren't sure how long the life is left in it." but zero warning. just "the car fax are great. no issues. here's your truck." So if you're a woman. A mom. do not buy from these shady people. they Do not disclose anything. Not to mention 3 months into owning this vehicle, there was electrical issues that they said "we can't fix that. We'd have to call in a guy to diagnose it and there's a fee for that." ~400$ worth of a few. Why should I have to pay for issues in a truck that you promised me had no issues?... so unless you like not being told the whole truth about your vehicles, don't go here. Ever. Thanks Robert Powell, Steve, and Johnathan for absolutely nothing... read more

I scheduled an appointment to meet with Mike to finance my car. I show up for my appointment, and I'm greeted by someone before I even get out of my car. I tell him I have an appt with Mike, he brings me inside and sits me down at a desk. I am then greeted by a completely different salesman, Jacob Stanton. He was extremely nice, and I could tell he was looking out for my best interests. I continued to decline offers to sell my car or trade it in, I was just looking for a ballpark idea as to what I'd pay for financing my car through them. So after declining those offers, Joey Ramos comes out and "sweet talks" me. Asks me what I want to pay, what I want for APR, and then writes all this down and asks me to write my initials below what he wrote so he can show other managers that he came up with these numbers himself?? So sketchy and sleazy. Joey Ramos ruined it for me and would not take no for an answer. Also, they took my keys when I got there to "check the odometer" when all I was doing was looking to get a loan for my current car! I never even got to talk with Mike by the way. Would not recommend this dealership whatsoever read more

*This is a review for the service center. Subsequent follow up reviews will cover other areas, especially if I look to do a trade-in or need serious repairs done* So far so good here at the service center. My rep did an amazing job getting me in at 7am and out at 8:15am for a simple oil service. At $59.95 + tax they filled my Honda CRV up with synthetic oil, lubed her up, did basic checkups and eval'd her needs....plus I got a car-wash and it looks like they vacuumed and wiped up the front dash (random value assessment of $10). In the wait room are yummy fresh donuts, fruit, and a coffee machine that (get this) ACTUALLY WORKS. So far I have to say my time spent in Honda dealers in general is much more pleasant in consideration of other dealers I have dealt with. Courtesy Chevrolet would take nearly 2 hours to do the exact same job, and they of course were infamous in my eyes for not reporting my Aveo's faulty AC unit, which led for me to be AC-less for 3 years. I could not find any downside at all. They granted my appointment time, and got me out quickly. They did not oversell me, and were courteous with my needs. The location is great and not too far from work. Overall 5 stars until I see differently. With my warranty I see myself utilizing this location for years to come. Thanks Showcase! read more

Avoid buying a car here . The salesmen will say anything to you to get you to sign the contract & once you do , you eventually find out that most of what was said were lies. The cars are junk and the service is poor. . I'm onto my 5th car (always buying one year old with less than 15k miles) & I've had to take this latest car that I purchased here at Showcase into the shop 4 times now within the past year. . The service department is not friendly or helpful at all. Do yourself a favor and go to a different car lot. read more

You know, as used car dealers go this was a pretty good experience. I have been around the car business for a long time so I consider myself pretty prepared to walk in to a dealer and either get damn close to what I want or to bail. Found an 06 X3 that I was really interested in so I called ahead and got a referral to a non sleaze salesman that I could talk to. Went it, drove the car, told him where they needed to be and that if they could do it I would buy it. If not- no big deal. Long story short, they got me where I needed to be, I was actually pretty surprised- I had researched my trade value and the value of the X3 and they gave me more than I expected for my trade and I got the X3 for less than private party retail. My salesman was great (Steve Marion). Of course, when you get the big guys involved to really narrow down the deal, they can be a bit insulting to your intelligence, but like I said- It all comes down to knowing what you want and being fully prepared to walk if you don't get it. I would totally go back to Steve for another deal. read more

Finally had to file a complaint with the FCC against them. Despite repeated polite pleas to stop calling me, even reiterating that we have moved to a new state, I got ANOTHER phone call last night at 8:40...and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. See, it's not good enough to buy a car from them. After a year, they'll be calling you to see if you want to trade up to "this year's model" with the Honda Loyalty Program. Unbelievably, I fell for this...once. It's a complete ripoff, don't do it. Also, that MPP program they offer? Yeah, another waste of money. I took my Honda to a dealership in our new state. When I showed them my contract they just shook their heads and had no idea what I was talking about. Good luck if you decide to purchase here. read more

These guys wrote the book on slimy car sales tactics. I went to look at a Civic today, expecting it to be miserable, but Showcase really went above and beyond my wildest dreams. First they started negotiations over 5,000$ dollars above their own published sales price, and then got mad at me when I mentioned their ad. Then my sales guy disappeared for 30 minutes, only to send back the sales manager with an offer higher than the one I just refused, who rushed away as soon as I tried to open my mouth. Sales guy returned with Sad Panda routine as I tried to leave. Then they had the gaul to call and ask how my experience was, and if there was anything they could do. I told them I want to pay the published price, and I've never heard back. The worst possible experience. Steer clear. Honda should be ashamed. read more

Looked at a used car which was in OK shape, it had a scrape on the passenger side headlight and was fogged up, also the rear window had tint film that was not removed and thus was blurry to look out of. With that said I wanted to see what the numbers would be on the car, and they added $3000 in fees (not including the tax, title, reg, doc fee etc). That did not need to be in there including the scam ones like nitrogen filled tires, paint protection, lifetime tint. This was funny due to the bad film tint and paint damage by the headlight. I asked them to waive them but they would not budge, they also wanted to gi e me a high apr and a 5 year loan when I wanted a 3 year loan Max. Since they would not budge in the ridiculous fees, term years, and high apr I walked out and then they called me back about 30 minutes later R saying that they can approve me at the apr I had requested. I told them no thanks and I am done with them. Never going back. read more

horrible, horrible shady dealership! I bought a used car and, "Honda Certified" no less. I noticed one tire had a gouge and pointed it out and they ended up replacing it. I should have looked a little closer at the others! Took the car home and 2 days later the tire pressure light went on. I took it to Discount Tire and after inspection they said the car wasn't safe to drive due to the tires. Sidewalls cracked and separating. I had to call and complain because that's outrageous to get a car you think has gone through a thorough inspection but obviously not too thorough!! They ended up replacing the 3 tires but SHAME ON THEM for trying to pass it off like that! I had to threaten to call the media before they made it right!! Still waiting on the "We Owe You" for machining all 4 rims because they're all gouged and scraped. It's been a month and still haven't heard from them! Don't buy here!!! There are plenty of other Honda dealers to choose from! They give Honda a bad name!!! read more

The Good: The car I purchased has been a high quality vehicle which I have no significant complaints about. The price I negotiated was fair. The Bad: Getting numerous phone calls during the car shopping process trying to close the deal. The sales calls were intrusive and dangerously close to pushy. After buying the car the customer service has hovered around 'acceptable', at times dipping below that. The Ugly: Every few months since purchasing my car I'd receive a call from a random salesman desperate to make a sale and curious if I'd like to come back and trade in my car for a newer car. The car I bought several months ago. After the last contact I may have made it clear they should stop calling me, but only time will tell. Overall: Unless business practices have changed, be prepared to be pestered after your visit. My suggestion, don't give them your phone number. The quality of the product is high. read more

Wow. I would have never gone to Showcase Honda if I had checked Yelp first. I am also very surprised at these horror story reviews, but I trust the Yelpers. My experience was like night/day to theirs. First we slected Showcase because it's close to work, I had four cars I wanted to see and we dropped in to take them for a test drive. After meandering about the lot for a few and eyeballing the ones we wanted to see, we walked toward the entrance and the door was opened for us by our salesperson. Polite welcome, smile and a "how can I help you ladies today"? We told him what cars we wanted to test drive and he said to have a seat at his desk area while he prepared them. He brought them up front and lined them up like a real showcase. We opened the hoods, the trunks, I sat in the back, the front, and talked about features. He shared what he knew about the cars which was reinforcing what we knew about the cars and then we started our drives, one after the other. He sat in back, offered a few facts, but was mostly quiet, unless we had a questions, which he was always pretty quick on, and he was humorous. Whenever he asked those personal questions salespeople ask to strike a rapport, I gently demurred and turned them back to him. I think we know more about our salesperson than he ever learned about us. During one of our test drives we had to get gas and he came back from the gas station with waters for us. After all the test drives were over he really wanted to get working on the numbers, but we told him we weren't planning a purchase today. This part of the sales process is always my most nerve wracking, because I know they want to close a sale. We discussed what else we wanted to see in our range, but we didn't need to see anything else. We had two close contenders already, we just needed a great deal on one. So, we chose the two cars we were most interested in and did a pro and con chart at the desk to decide which one we would discuss numbers about. We selected the Honda Fit Sport over the Insight and that's when the pressure started. Normally we leave at this point, but we really did feel we'd found the right car, so I kept in mind my range from my research over what was fair pricing. His first offer to us was way too high and our first offer to him was way too low, but we had a no higher than X price in mind and whenever he was over that we said no and continued talking it out. We scratched out a deal that ended up lower than what I felt fair because the car we were considering actually had a few miles on it from a person whose financing fell through and we lowered the price to adjust for that issue. Once we had a deal we tossed in extra money down and headed over to finance. Finance is never fun, and it was getting late, but the guy who worked our paperwork promised to get us through the financing side of things in about an hour, which he did. Maybe you all will think we are suckers to buy anything that's extra in those pamphlets, but we did like some of the extended packages and we worked out the cost to where we were comfortable accepting them. At the end of the day we drove home with a car we are enjoying and with an experience which wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, and with what we considered to be a pretty sweet deal. They actually own all the shops on Camelback and will soon make construction to be the largest Honda dealership in square footage in North America. I was actually happy to go write a Yelp review about my car buying experience and was stunned with all these one stars and negative stars. Maybe they've had some sensitivity training or new management or something? Maybe it's just the sales guy I got? Whatever it was, I was very happy with Showcase Honda and they were never condescending or insulting to us "ladies." read more

I bought my 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid 6 years ago at this dealership. I went in as a woman and alone and needless to say I was ripped off. I do have to say it's my own fault for not doing my research on the Hybrid IMA batteries and the constant replacing they need. Over the years I have to say the service department has only went down hill. It's now run by a group of low down con artists. The one I had to deal with today name is Michael Valenzuela. I scheduled an appointment with him and I should've known when he wouldn't give me a quote over there phone for a specific repair which I knew what the problem was. A motor mount was definitely bad. Long story short my check engine light was on and was told it was my catalyst converter and it would cost 3,400 to fix this!! By the way this is probably more than my car is worth. Also, that yes my motor mount is bad a whole list of other things. The motor mount was $600. I understand things go bad with wear and tear but these people will try and take advantage of any vulnerable person that walks in those doors. I googled repairs shops and the first one I called could replace the catalyst convertor for $800 and Tempe Honda quoted my motor mount at $400. Stay away from these they will make you feel horrible just because they can! read more

The best thing about this place is the product. I know that when buying a Honda, I will receive a good quality car: good on gas, trouble free and safe. showcase however is as shifty as an auto dealer gets. They pump up the prices, then knock them down to make it seem you're getting some kind of deal. In order to get me a good interest rate, they required I purchase all the extra warranties and service contracts that I didn't want. All along the way they kept begging me to give them a positive survey because if I didn't, it would cost the salesperson a part of his commission. I was told this four times at the dealer, and again in a follow up call. The cherry on top was when they asked me to come back and re sign new documents for my loan. It seems I agreed to such an inflated price, it was more than the bank was willing to finance, so they had to knock a few thousand bucks off after the fact. Again, I'd have preferred to just take the cheaper loan payment, but the only way they would do it was if I signed up for the platinum package, which netted out almost the same payment as before. I'll pay cash for used cars on craigslist before I would buy there again. I have edited this entry to say that this business has repeatedly called me to sell me another car, despite my specific request to be added to their do not call registry. This is in violation of federal law and exposes them to penalties of up to $16,000 per occurrance, and I have blocked the number from my phone. I will do no more business with Showcase Honda, either sales or service. read more

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. They kept the car 3 days to fix a recall were supposed to have it detailed. Three days later no fix on the recall and they brought it to us with sand on the back seats that wasn't there when we bought the car. They said oops just from throwing the dirty floor mats on the seat. We will detail it free for you sometime?? Also didn't give me the key for the locking lug nuts. You can tell they are lying if their lips are moving. I had to come back and spend 4 hours waiting (plus an hour drive each way) for them to take care of what they were supposed to do during the 4 days they had the car after I bought it. They were supposed to deliver it with everything done. I asked about the wheel locks when they dropped it off they weren't concerned at all. They said road side assistance would be able to break the lug off if needed??? They couldn't get out of their fast enough. After hounding them and 6 hours of my time in addition to the 4 days they kept it. Everything is done that was promised. They are all proud of themselves for making it right. If they had kept their word in the first place they wouldn't have had to "make it right" and waste my whole day. If you say your going to do something do it when you say you will. My time is valuable too. I reached out they said that it was an automatic reply to my issues had nothing to do with the service department, but my issues with the sales department which is true but I didn't directed towards the service department. I was directing it towards showcase Honda used car sales. read more

The circus atmosphere is off-putting (they really need to get rid of that gong). Aside from that though they are shady... very shady. They'll respond to your True Car contact request saying they have the car and then not have the car but have one similar or kind of like it. Instead of giving you a ballpark payment they ask you how much you can afford and then shoot for that number. They also do things like tell you they are competing against the dealership down the street to sell your trade in knowing full well they aren't going to have to worry about that because they are giving you salvage value. They push you to put a down payment on the car and then try to tack on extra things like clear coating (ZakTek) and maintenance protection plans (MPP) (incidentally they are the same company) to swallow it up. Oh, and lets not forget how they make you wait around for an excessively long time. To point where you're shelled and don't want to be there and then finally get you in to see the financial services manager who pushes papers in front of you to sign explaining quickly what they are but not really advise you what they actually mean (like for instance the expensive "services" signing up for are optional). The best part though will be when you walk out several hours later with a car loan that immediately puts you under water by $5000+ and wonder for a long time after what the heck you were thinking. If you aren't paying attention or get ground into submission by their dragging out the process tactics... it can happen. Buy hey! At least they give you a free oil change at 5000 miles (even though the car can probably go 10000 before having one). That's so nice that you don't even mind the fact that when you go in for the first "free service" they tell you they checked your AC and would advise you to consider their "Artic Blast" upgrade to ensure it keeps blowing cold air. Because after 5000 long miles on a brand new car that is a deep concern. No... no actually it isn't and I wonder at how they can keep a straight face saying it. I encourage anyone who would still go there to buy a new car after reading this to see if what I'm saying isn't accurate. I guarantee you'll be truly amazed. read more

I had an initial interaction with Showcase Honda which left me uncomfortable and led me to post a negative review. The issue was essentially communication about the repairs that needed to be done. I felt as if all of the info/ justification for the repairs had not been presented to me. HOWEVER - Showcase Honda followed up with me after I posted my initial review. The man I spoke with on the follow-up call offered a very thorough explanation and was immensely responsive to my feedback. He did his best to resolve my concerns and I feel comfortable with the how this issue was resolved. He gave me supportive documentation, including photos which supported his repair recommendations. I think that truly speaks to his integrity and the integrity of this business. This is a corporation owned dealer. Very big volume based place. We bought a new 2015 Accord today but it was a 5 hour event unfortunately. The sales rep Roger was very good. But the management is very deceptive here. They tried a bait and switch which I called out to them twice. They finally got it right reluctantly after I told them they were committing fraud by advertising a great price painted on the windshield and then tried to bump the price up $3,000. I think it's good they were forced to sell it at the marked price but they should not have tried to play games. I would not buy here again as we have a very bad taste from the experience! Received a requested bid by email for a 2018 Honda Accord Sport. Texts back and forth to confirm before I drove an hour to this dealership. After test driving and sitting to do the paperwork, bid was $11,399 higher than the email bid. Since the Sport comes fully loaded and we have good credit and we didn't involve a trade, then there is no way tax and license and plates could be this much money. It's bait and switch and it's frustrating because I specifically told him I didn't want to play any games. I choose him because he gave me what I thought was a competitive bid and since he was the internet manager, then I thought we could avoid this dreadful part of buying a car. They deserve minus 5 stars. They lie and lie and lie again. They bait and switch and in general are the epitome of slimy including management. My son took me with him when looking for a car. He found one he really liked however after hours of negotiations and providing documents for the deal it wasn't to be. The very next afternoon he was called by the dealership stating "for sure they could do a deal today for the same car" Back to dealership, more hours, more documents, of course increased costs but no deal. Third time is a charm right. He really was in love with that car so after the dealership calling him again promising they would be able to get him into that car for sure, he went back. Hours later my son arrived home with the car of his dreams and a payment of unbelievable proportions. Three days later the dealership calls him to come in because something was in error with the license tags. Upon his arrival he was instructed to return the keys as financing was denied. He was further informed his $5,000,00 deposit would not be available to him until later the next day. I saw the 2 star avg review for this dealership and I was puzzled because I had a great experience purchasing a 2016 Honda Accord from Juan and Atul Sharma. I actually live in San Diego but flew in to Phoenix because they were only 1 of 2 dealerships in the US that had the car I wanted. I initially spoke to Juan on the 24th and he was nothing but helpful. He even made himself available via text over Christmas. Not expected but very nice. The day after I get a call from Atul Sharma. He made the whole buying process painless. He recognized that I was an out of state buyer. So we negotiated a price over email phone and text...and had it in writing before I stepped foot on an airplane. When I arrived at the airport they picked me up and brought me to the dealership. I didnt even wait 15 minutes from the time I was off the plane til pickup. At the dealership Atul let me test drive the car before signing anything. We then waited about 45 mins before going into the title/ finance office. Archi, the finance rep, did not try to sell me anything. He mentioned an aftermarket warranty but I declined and that was that. I spent 15 mins with him and was out the door. From there Mr Sharma was waiting by the car in the delivery area. He paired my phone and briefly explained the features. That was it. Painless. I would recommend this dealer and this sales team to anyone. read more

They kept being sarcastic with their dumb add ons which are a total of an extra $3000 saying oh if they can magically take them off. It literally states they're optional this is not magic, stupid. After going back and forth we decided it just was not a time for us to buy a car mind you we were there with our 7 month old and 9 year old and we requested our keys for our car since they had appraised it for trade in. These jerks came back 2 more times with numbers instead of our keys. We had a very grumpy tired 7 month old and a irritated 9 year old and they were holding us hostage. My fiance literally had to walk up and request a manager so we could take our family home. Then come to find out when we get home they still had his license from test driving the car! We had to go back a second time and decided we would try a little more and they basically refused to remove these dumb OPTIONS apparently they do not know the definition of the word. After reading all these reviews of after car trouble I am glad to say we left without any car from them. God works in mysterious ways, steer clear of these nut jobs. read more

My wife decided she wanted a 4runner so we looked all over the valley. We knew our budget, and where payment needed to be. After looking at several we found one at showcase Honda that had everything we were looking for. Erica, and John were very helpful throughout the process. We were able to make deal and I got the vehicle We were looking for at a good price. Erica and John were very patient with me and made me feel comfortable with the purchase. They were very accommodating with my busy schedule and didn't waste my time. They were straight to the point which I like. No BS. Thanks Showcase Honda! read more

I went in after extensively researching cars, finding one I liked, and was ready to sign. First off, before the guy even helps me, he trash talks the exact car I'm trying to buy, to me. Whatever, I brushed that off. No big deal, I've done my research and have the exact vin. He finally brings it around, test drive, get in to discuss financing and that's where it starts to get bad. A at starts at one price, but then apparently they have to "buy" it from someone else? So now it increases by 3k right off the bat. Then there are additional fees for refurbishing, their package, their "cut" for the car, then the actual tax title and documents(which the last three were expected). Then this guy has the audacity to say "it's just the business bro" ... seriously? No, no it's not. So he goes back to whoever is manager, comes back and says, well what other car are you looking at? After I told him this was specifically the kind I wanted. "Well, what do you want to do?" So I got up and left. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all. Extremely slimy and rude "deal closers". They "sell about 400-500 cars anyways so it doesn't matter" -about the sale I was going to make. As an owner of a business, I'd rethink the employees you have as well as the business model. read more

the staff were all awful A holes of humans and still coerced me into buying a 2018 Jeep compass with 33K miles on it. this was 13 months ago and since I have driven off the lot I have had to replace to CarPlay screen, buy 2 brand new batteries, completely new tire rotation and now a electrical issue in the fuse box that only Jeep can fix because it has been looked at by 3 different mechanics and every diagnosis is the car is fine but it is intermittent. never buy from here. read more
