This review is strictly based on the Service Department, not the Car Sales Department. I've been coming to showcase Honda for the last year to service my Acura simply based on convenience. Today will be my last trip, I will not be coming back. It's the same thing every time I come in for service. When it's time to pay my bill there's always some small charge or fee that was not disclosed upfront. Regardless of price it could be a few bucks, today it was a misc. fee $16.99 that was not itemized on my invoice, I was just told it was a liquid disposal fee, even though I've never paid that for an oil change. If you do decide to service your vehicle at this location I would suggest, confirming the out the door price before service starts and record that phone call or get it in writing so they honor that price. Edit 4/7/17 I took the advice of Nikki V who commented on my review and called the Manager, Tim Bothwell yesterday. I left a message and have not heard back from anyone yet. I will update this review on how they elect to handle this situation. 5/18/17 Still no word back from Tim Bothwell or Nikki V. I thought because of the comment Nikki left on my review they wanted to help correct the problem, but that doesn't seem like the case. I guess the comment left by Nikki is a Half hearted sorry?? read more

I have had nothing but great service, communication, and professionalism from Showcase Honda. They have always treated me right the first time and every time. I setup an appointment time to drop the car off, meet my service technician at the car and they take it from there. Always call and notify me of the problem and find a solution that fits my budget and needs. If I had other Honda vehicles to work on I would not hesitate to take it there. Thank you guys for being such a reputable company and caring for the community. read more

Showcase Honda - 2015 Honda Civic LX - Car Dealers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I'm an inexperienced car buyer (shopping for my 2nd car ever). I let them know that I didn't want them to run my credit before I make a decision on what vehicle I want to buy. Sales person gave me his word more than once that they would be doing a soft pull to get my credit score. I confirmed it would be a soft pull three times. 30 minutes later I receive a hard pull inquiry from my credit monitor. They also tried to quote me +$4000 for "mechanic labor." Why would I pay for past mechanical work that was already done to the car before I even considered buying it? From my experience, dishonest service, lacks integrity. read more

I was told by finance that they would find me a lender within 30 days and that I would have a payment due 45 days after that. I never received information on who the lender was and I never even received my license plate from Showcase. I had to go to the DMV and get my plate myself. I made 3 phone calls to Showcase to find our information on my lender and none of my calls were ever returned. Needless to say they lender came and took my car for nonpayment. I've tried to work with the lender to no prevail and I've even contacted the finance director Patty at Showcase and she is no help either. Showcase rushed me into this purchase, I wasn't even going to take the car, I wanted to go home and sleep on it and when I came back outside the salespeople we're removing my belongings from my trade in and made me take the new car. I was rushed and under pressure and felt intimidated. NEVER AGAIN! read more

We tried to buy a SUV from their internet offer. Website did not work so we went in. They applied over $3200. In options that of course could not be removed from the car. Typical bait and switch. Unless you like dealing with that I do not recommend this dealership. read more

I saw a Kia Telluride online. I called and they said come down to see it. I drove 20 minutes. When I got there they said it was being worked on and I cannot see it. What a waste of time. 2 days later I called and they said come down to see it. I went down and it was still being worked on. Had to wait 1/2 hour to see it....still being worked on. Loved the car, took it for a test drive, it was nice. It was advertised for 40,700 on line. When we discussed price they added on 3,500 more on top of the 40,700. They said it was for the extra options. Nothing was ever said about this prior to the test drive or the online page. Total bait and switch. The salesman was Benjamin was excellent but the managers and money people were totally unprofessional and quite unethical. My wife bought a car here 20 years ago and had a wonderful experience too bad it has become unethical and has incorporated bad business techniques. read more

Rashaunn tried taking my whole $9000 down payment and tried to get paid for nitrogen in tires, 3years of paint and 1 year of tint. I knew this sales tactic and told him I didn't authorize any of this and instead of saying ok he hiked up my interest rate my 9%. I asked him why he's so mad that he felt he had to do that because I busted him trying to take all my money and than some? He than proceeded to call my vehicle a loaner car that I was purchasing! I told him well lemme have my loaner 9000 back and I'll take my loaner self somewhere else. Nissan will get me a car read more

Cris did not even show up for work after scheduling an appointment with us. Very unprofessional.

I bought a 2016 Honda pilot two years ago. Two days driving the roof rack left rail flew off in the wind. They wouldn't replace it. Said the repair would be 113.00 Then my emissions light started , traction control light started , trailer assist light. It started shifting rough. Honda service department said the transmission had an issue , a service that wasn't covered under my power train warranty. Even though it was still under warranty. 450.00 there. Ran right just long enough to clear warranty. Then started again. Looked online seems like a major issue in 2016 Honda pilots. I've bought three vehicles here and all they could do was try to put me in a much smaller vehicle at a much higher cost because the pilot they sold me was a lemon and not worth what I owed according to them. I wanted to add that they set me an appointment with a sales rep who never even came to see me or followed up with me named Joseph Ramos. They instead switched up and sent a newer sales rep to help me. (The young rep was the only good thing about my experience, ) but I was offended that the original sales rep passed me off without even speaking to me. I'll never buy another Honda vehicle from anywhere because of Showcase Honda read more

Showcase Honda is the epitome of the shady car salesman approach. I bought my Honda Accord a few years ago and I always remember how uncomfortable and weird I felt. They also pushed me to pay for all the additional add ons. Very pushy and aggressive. I'm only writing a review now because I just went to a different Honda dealership to purchase another car and by far it was night and day. I realize now they charged me around $5K more than I should of paid... oh well, beware and don't give in to their pushy sales antics and scams. I will never go back to Showcase Honda again. read more

One star they didn't deserve. My worst experience buying a car. VJ was so new that he didn't know anything & took forever. I should have walked out, but wanted to give him a break. I had problems with the 'Technicians' that did not know anything about the GPS & were very condescending. I had to drive numerous time to the dealer, even though I live 1 hour away. My daughter recommended them since she bought a car 2 years ago. I guess that the service went downhill from there. I had to drive numerous time to the dealer, even though I live 1 hour away. To top it off, I didn't get my Plate & Title till 2 months later only after numerous phone calls!!!!! This dealership has the worst customer service ever. read more

I was in Arizona visiting and my family and they had run into car problems. We decided to stop by to just browse some options if we needed to buy. We were quickly greeted by Jonathan. He was really great from beginning to end. We let him know from the beginning what was going on and we were just browsing. He never made us feel pressured nor rushed. Buying a car is definitely stressful and you get those pushy people at car dealerships but not with him and we were thankful for that. Jonathan showed us a couple cars and explained the features and costs. We went inside where we were offered water and met a couple of the managers as we spoke numbers. Everyone was super nice and understanding. The inside was very clean and well maintained. We did not buy a car at that time. But when we are ready I would definitely come back to get one here from Jonathan! Ask for him if coming, you won't feel so stressed! read more

If I could give this dealership a negative number I would. My husband took our van to get some work done and asked them to check the engine really good since we had been getting oxygen sensor codes and had no heat or ac, well they not only missed that we had a head gasket going or already gone. When they went to give us back the van it had an engine light on so they took it in the back to check it out. Apparently they missed the dash cam by the review mirror and diagnosised it as having a blown engine the service guy we had been working with came back and said it was an old code. Got van home started smoking really bad took it back the next day to be told the engine is blown. At that point they want to sell me another car. Got home and decided to review the cam and had it all on camera. These people are not trustworthy at all. read more

I went for a routine oil change. An issue with my shutter grill and to make sure vehicle was ready for a trip to Northern California We had to keep going to service advisor for an update Got to dealership at 7am at around 3-30pm we were advised they couldn't "fix" the shutter grill and offered an Uber to go home without a loaner vehicle While trying to deal with that we were advised they found a fuse that was missing. Took our vehicle home and on the road the next day around 230 traffic was slow Around 30-40mins in as I increase my speed I started hearing a noise coming from my engine. We ended up stopping at a rest area. I got down on the ground to see if I could see an abstruction and saw the engine cover was not secure and was dragging I called the advisor with no concern whatsoever he advised me to go back to dealership mind you this was already 330 I advised him they'd be closed by the time I got back I ended up driving to quartzite and a nice mechanic took the plate off until we returned to Phoenix When we got bat to the dealership they did not take any type of accountability whatsoever they we're going to charge us 161 at first and after talking to the director they stated they would only charge us for parts and not labor and now it was going to be 179?? It's sad bc I have a faithful customer since 2008 and that means nothing to this business. They worry more about being right than customer centric I believe their maintenance department dropped the ball here by not securing the engine cover and instead of taking ownership they rather place blame on the customer read more

I want to preface that I didn't buy my car at Showcase Honda but I have gotten all of its regular Maintenance done at Showcase Honda. I've been to Showcase Honda twice before yesterday. The first time to get a couple of recalls taken care of. The second time for an oil change. I take advantage of there half price oil changes on Mondays which is good deal. Don't be fooled by the service manager telling you what you need to do on your vehicle at certain mile intervals. That is the dealership suggested service not the manufacturer suggested service. DO YOUR RESEARCH! My service advisor tried telling me I need a $700 service including a bunch of stuff that I really didn't need bcus the manufacturer says I needed it 35,000 miles later. Anyways I did my research and got quotes at a very reputable shop for what he was saying my car needed. I got quotes for the transmission fluid exchange and the brake fluid flush for $180. I told that to my service advisor and he said that they cannot price match what the other shop quoted me bcus the other shop only does a "drain and fill" and Showcase Honda does a "full machine service". They're service package booklet literally says "drain and refill". Seems like they'd be doing the same thing the other shop would do a 4x the price. Also, my car left dealership with more scratches on it that it had originally. I called the dealership and they said that it's impossible that it would've happened there bcus the carwash they use had microfiber cleaning material blah blah blah! I took it back the next day and showed them and they ended up taking out the scratches by buffing them out and keeping my car the whole day. I guess the only thing I can say that's good about this dealership is the oil change specials and there complimentary Uber. read more

I receive at least one offer from Showcase to trade my car in every month. I also receive periodic phone calls asking me to trade my car in. These always state a potential monthly payment that I can get. I stopped in to get some info about trading in my car and the floor sales staff were pleasant, but when they went to confirm what a possible monthly payment might be the supervisor told them to tell me that they "weren't comfortable" providing that, and that "when you get serious about trading in your car you can come back." Nice way to talk to customers. If you're not serious about backing up your own offers, stop bothering me with them. I used to like coming to this location, I lived down the street and even after I moved, I would come here. The last 2-3 times I've went I've had nothing but issues. (All with employees) The guys that work in the cubicles by the service area.. they're no help at all! Avoid a guy named DAVID!!!!! It's like he walks in circles pretending to help. I unfortunately experienced theft the last time I went, also my car has been having problems SINCE my last visit. THAT was the absolute last time I ever go to that location! An employee that helped me at auto zone told me he had the same exact issues from that location and instead started going to the Scottsdale location! Big surprise! They need to make some changes or hire some better employees. I'll happily drive out of my way to another Honda location to avoid the headaches that come with the camelback location!!!!!! read more

Daughter took 2011 CRV in due to A/C working intermittently. Showcase tech diagnosed "faulty A/C compressor" (Of course....). Daughter paid over $2000 to fix it. On day she picked-up the car, the A/C worked great for a bit, but on the ride home once again stopped working, just as it had been intermittently working on & off, prior. I went back with her immediately to address it not working again. Was late on a Friday afternoon, and we left it with Josh and Austin (Service Advisors....). They said they would get it back in early Saturday for recheck. On Saturday afternoon, Austin called back and said that the tech had found a "loose connector/wire", and when tightened, fixed the problem and A/C was now working again. SO IF THE LOOSE WIRE WAS THE PROBLEM WITH INTERMITTENT OPERATION OF THE A/C, WHY DIDN'T THEY FIND THAT OUT WITH THE ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS INSTEAD OF CHARGING MY DAUGHTER 2 GRAND FOR A NEW COMPRESSOR?!?!?!? (The answer is obvious!) LAME!!!!! Daughter is a hard working college student, and scrimped & saved to buy the car. She had to dip into precious savings to fix it! SO BAD!! Would give zero stars if I could. We'll never go back to Showcase. read more

I bought my Honda new from Showcase. I needed to get my 30,000 mile service done. Made appt but found this dealership only interested to see how much they could charge me. The service writer was not interested to save me money for this expensive service. I decided to call another Honda dealer and was offered a fantastic price for this service. Less than half of Showcase prices for more items done. I called Showcase service Director to tell of my experience with my bad experiences there. He offered to match other dealers prices. All the prices he quoted were still far above other dealer. Went next morning to other dealer. Car was done in two hours as stated to me by service writer washed also. Always had to wait longer at Showcase then stated time. Do yourself a favor and shop around than use this dealership. This other dealer earned my business. read more

Stupidly gave them a chance. Was given the opportunity to purchase a used vehicle with high mileage at almost $6k above asking price because of a warranty. They couldn't even get me approved at the signed for 10% because their add-ons put my loan to value through the roof. They eventually came back about around 20%. My credit isn't great, but that's far from worth it. I ended up getting a decent rate with Carvana and I wouldn't consider any of these dealerships again. read more

My first interaction was with Aaron McDonald, Internet Sales Manager. We exchanged a few texts and I agreed to head down that same afternoon (Monday, May 3rd). Upon arrival, I asked for Aaron McDonald, and was instead handed off to Aaron Ramirez, one of their salespeople. Aaron Ramirez was wonderful to work with - very personable, friendly and proactive. I would give him a 10/10. Unfortunately, as soon as I was handed off to finance, my experience changed. My assigned finance manager was Antonio, and things started off okay. He complained a bit about being new to the dealership and not having the application logins he needed for his job, and being frustrated about it. Understandable. Then it came time for the upsell on the extended warranty and gap coverage. I declined as politely as I could, but Antonio continued with his pressure tactics, ultimately making some comments that made me feel judged for the financial decision I was making. I understand you have to upsell - but this was not the way to do it. Not your business. After we got past that and started signing the forms, I observed that most of the printing was off alignment by more than a few lines, making it almost impossible to see which numbers and ticked boxes belonged where. I made a comment about it, and Antonio said "don't worry about it, you'll have to come by and re-sign anyway." I asked what he meant, and he stated that I wasn't approved yet, so the documents would need to be revised when they nailed down a lender. While I understand that it was 9PM at this point (I had been there since 5PM), and that loan approvals don't come through afterhours from most lenders - again, this was not the way to handle this. No offer to reprint or revise the documentation. No apology, nothing. After I had finished signing, Antonio said "Okay - you're all set. Your salesman will meet you outside with your keys." I had to ASK Antonio for a copy of the paperwork I had just signed. To which he responded "Oh! Okay, sure." I left that evening in the new car, but realized on the way home that they did not even collect my down payment. I spent all of Tuesday waiting to hear from the finance department regarding the status of my loan. After not hearing anything by early afternoon, I sent my salesperson Aaron a text - after which he promptly called me and said he would reach out to Antonio and ask him to give me a call. Didn't hear anything for the rest of the day. Wednesday - again, went most of the day without hearing a peep from Finance. Sent Aaron another text, which he was kind enough to respond to on his day off. He said he would try again. FINALLY, around 2PM, I decided to call the dealer and ask for Antonio myself. The person who answered the phone took down my information and said Antonio would call me. Which he did around 4:30PM. He stated that the loan was approved, no problem, and none of the terms had changed - but I needed to come down and sign a corrected bill of sale because they had the wrong VIN number for my trade. I said I would be there between 5 and 5:15 - he said great, and we ended the call. Upon arrival at 5PM, before I could make my way to the reception desk inside the building, I was apprehended by a salesperson, who said he would go find Antonio and that I should have a seat. He came back and said that Antonio was with a customer, but would be with me shortly and if not, that the Finance Director would come get me. I waited an hour and a half - with no check in, no assistance, nothing. Antonio walked by me multiple times to grab customers that had arrived after I did. Eventually, I went and spoke with the receptionist (Tina, I think?), and she was very apologetic. Anyway - he came over to me almost immediately afterward, and had me sign the new bill of sale for my trade. He once again said "Okay, you're good to go" after which I reminded him that I still hadn't made my down payment. He took my payment, and then again said I was good to go. Again, I had to ASK for a copy of the papers I had just signed (bill of sale, odometer disclosure, etc.). He said "Oh, I don't give those to people normally." I asked for a copy again, and annoyed, he went and made one. After that, he shook my hand and sent me on my way. In the car, ready to leave, the receptionist called me and asked if I'd like a fuel voucher for my inconvenience. I went back inside where she lead me to the Sales Manager, Roscoe Gist. He asked me how my day was going - frustrated at this point, I said that I'd had a long day and wanted to go home. Rudely, he said "yeah, we all do." He gave me a $25 fuel voucher. Joy. I never did get reprinted finance docs. But, it's over. Aaron Ramirez - if you're reading this, hang in there. You did a phenomenal job and I know it's not easy. You're better than this place. I will do my best to steer friends and family away from any of the VTG/BHA dealers in the future. read more

Update: The check they told us was cut on January 19th was not even mailed out until February 16th and when it was cashed it bounced which means it will take another month to get the check. I bought my car on December 7th and we are now almost at March and the issue still has not been resolved. After all this they even sent me an email asking me to refer people to them. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! Pick another Honda dealership, showcase has the WORST customer service. The only reason that they are even getting one star from me is because I have to give it. I went down there in December to go look at a Honda CR-V. I was in with the finance guy and because I declined to get the extended warranty he called me stupid. The sales guy who I was working with informed him that he needed to try and speed things up because I had to get to work. He then proceeded to stop several times to watch the football game on his computer and answer FaceTime calls from his daughter. They also charged extra for the new tint that they put on the windows that is already peeling and I have barely driven the car. Not only that but after I traded in my car it took them two weeks to pay the loan off so we had to make another payment. When we asked when we would be getting this money back they gave us a run around for two months before telling us the bank owed us the money. We then called the bank and the bank had to send us a photo copy of the check that Showcase sent them (which was for almost 250 dollars less than the contracted amount). When confronted they changed their story that a check had already been cut on the 19th, when they told us at the end of last week that the bank owed us the money. After two months they are finally sending us a check. I know this is lengthy but I want be to be aware of what they are getting themselves into. I would not recommend this dealership at all, they are very shady and trying to scam you out of your money. read more

Van Tuyl garbage! Insulting bait and switch tactics and they'll insult you when you push back on their B.S. Had a deal "agreed" upon for a week but they refused to give me an OTD number without coming in. I explained that we just had our third baby and I couldn't take the time out to make this an all day ordeal - tell me yes or no on the deal and I'll come buy the car if it's a yes. Shouldn't car buying be that easy this day in age??? Natalie tells me yes and just to come in to get the deal. My Spidey Sense starts to tingle as it sounds like she so easily confirmed that we had a deal on what I knew was an aggressive price. When I explained how I've had awful experiences with Showcase Honda (and with any dealer under Van Tuyl umbrella of unethical business practices) where they say we have a deal over the phone, text, or email and then change it by $3-4K after I get there. Natalie, Mike, and anyone else I spoke to reassured me that would not happen to me again and I needed to trust them and just come in to get this "amazing" deal. Needless to say, I fell for the trap and took the time to drive down there for the "10-15 minutes" it would take to formally appraise my car - "the manager has to touch it before giving any numbers at all." Their websites Value My Trade tool told me my car was worth $26k and that's all I was wanting them to give me for it. Over an hour goes by and I finally get the number and my trade is now valued at only $23k without any reason. Even the sales rep told me multiple times that our deal should be good to go as he was amazed at the condition of my SUV. Not a scratch, just detailed, clean Carfax, dealer maintenance records, and new tires. Simply put, they gave me a competitive price on their car by lowballing my trade by $3000 vs anyone else and even what their own tool quoted me before coming down. They literally insulted me and told me I was being difficult when expressing my concerns about coming down without them giving me an OTD before doing so only to prove me right all along. Oh, I've also included a screenshot text from the sales rep who told me we had a deal multiple times before I came down...oh and don't believe the Berkshire Hathaway ownership title they'll through at you. Yeah, they were bought out but the Van Tuyl culture is still going strong. I bet there's a special place in hell for that guy as he's made millions off of unethical business practices that prey on those who don't know how to work a car deal without signing their life away. Go to Tempe Honda, Right Honda, or even Arrowhead if you want to be treated with some dignity, respect, and level of human kindness that you'd expect from a business that understands there's so much more to a customer relationship than the one transaction today. read more

Let me start with if I could give this place -5 stars I would ! PLEASE FIND A DIFFERENT HONDA DEALERSHIP DONT GO TO SHOWCASE ITS A BUNCH OF BS!!!!! I've only ever owned Honda cars so In October of 2022 I went to showcase to get myself a 21 birthday gift. When I got there ISMAEL was my care dealer I told him I was looking for a Honda in my price range and the first car he showed me was a Toyota...a Toyota. I told him no and he insisted as to why I didn't want to get the Toyota. I told him I came to a Honda dealership to get a Honda car not a Toyota. I walked away from him and found a 2018 Honda Civic the same price as the Toyota he wanted to sell me SMDH! I ended up taking the Honda for a test drive and everything was perfect. Until It was time to take the car home they handed me the keys and I pressed the unlock and the car made a horrible noises. I asked ISMAEL what the noise was he and the service men told me that the car needs a new GAS DOOR ACTUATOR! but not to be worried because the part was already on order and that it would be there the following month. IT IS NOW JULY OF 2023 and every time time I call them they always say they'll get back to me and they NEVER DO! I've also gone looking for them at showcase that is a 35 minute drive from my home. And they give me the same BS every time "YOUR PART IS ON BACK ORDER, WE'LL CALL YOU WHEN ITS HERE" It's going to be almost a year and the part is still on back order? Showcase Honda - Car Dealers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Talked to Rhinell Navora at Showcase Honda on Saturday about buying a car that was in transit. He said the mark up was $20k. I told him that I was unwilling to pay a $20k mark up and he could call me if he was willing to reduce the mark up. 3 days later I received a call from him stating that the car would arrive in about 2 days and and there was good news the mark up was reduced to to $13k and led me to believe that the mark up could still be negotiate lower if I was serious and came in to the dealership. I drove 170 miles one way that day only to arrive and learn that the mark up increased to $28k and the car wouldn't arrive at least two weeks. Rhinell flat out lied. I didn't care about the lie about the arrival time, but lying about the price is unacceptable. After 2 and a half hours they didn't budge on the mark up. All he had to say was he made a mistake when he told me on the phone that the mark up had been reduced. Telling me that the mark up was reduced and then increasing it by 40% is not a mistake. It was done intentionally and he got upset at the end when I was unwilling to pay it. Other dealers in Phoenix over the past 4 months have been straight forward and stated that the mark ups were not negotiable. Despite some of them being disrespect about it at least they were honest and most of them didn't waste nearly as much of my time. read more

Discount tire says ..it was the TIRES the whole time and becuase they were taken off and rotated it just decreased. UGH. ( So, not the roters and brakes was the tires at first) Saftey hazzard! Check paperwork.. Axels are still covered under warrenty. Advise honda of the fact... they say ok " our bad" and replace the axels and I paid for new tires. This simply should not be happening. After the first issues when I bought the car.. now this. Simply inexcusable. Will be filing a new BBB to let people know about them constantly lying to people and scam artist. Check the other reviews from people , crazy they are still open. read more

I haven't been here in a while but I stopped by & was greeted by a young energetic salesperson, I actually just came with a friend to help them with the car buying process! It can be complicated if your not dealing with a professional staff! Honda pretty much should always be an easy sale because it's such a reliable brand, being in the business I was really shocked on how showcase honda is a 1 price store & went above & beyond to show my friend it can be done the right way!! Round of applause to this class act organization, might even apply for job here! read more

Showcase Honda - Car Dealers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

All I can say is that Honda Showcase really does care about customer service. After a small bad encounter, Sean contacted me and was super understanding of how I felt, and was truly interested in making it right. After offering me to come back and letting them take of my car services, I said why not. Today I went back and they took care of my car services, their customer services was amazing and at the end Sean came and talked with me. He was genuinely concerned and asked if I had any questions. Overall, this experience was amazing. I do plan on coming back and ensuring they take care of any future car service I might need. Truly truly satisfied. Would recommend anyone to come here! read more
