This Shake Shake is in the heart of Brooklyn and across from Barclays Complex. They have the greatest customer service that are smart about the menu and a professional team. The place has lots of traffic throughtout the day and night the staff of professionals keep the place clean and orderly. It is obvious they take great pride in running this Shake Shake. I ordered the Shack Burger, Black and White Shake and Cheesy Fries and I was not disappointed. I was in heaven. The burger was fresh and tasty and the perfect size. The Cheesy Fries are the best in Brooklyn and my shake was amazing. I have been to a number of Shake Shakes from Dubai to New York and this is my favorite from service to quality. A delicious burger chain restaurant right by the hotel that we were staying at in Brooklyn. We had gotten back from the rooftop bar (at 1 Hotel) and was about to venture over to Smith street, but the rain/storm stopped us. I decided on their Smoke Shake and it was so good! I definitely understand the positive reviews of this place. They know how to make their burgers right! Also got a side of fries to share and it was a perfect burger combo haha. Today was my last time trying to get serviced at this location. I waited in line approximately 8-10 mins with only one customer in front of me. When another employee did step up to take my order he was asked to stop in the middle of my order to take an employees order. I didn't mind because lunch breaks are important however a card was needed to take the employees order. The employee at the register had to get the card from someone else. When he returned to take the order the employee that was ordering had to run to the back to get their debit card to make the purchase. At this point I left. It took 3 employees to place one order while the line of customers grew. This location is very disorganized whether you order on the app or in store. I don't eat "fast food" very often. In fact if I wanted a good burger I would patron a few locally owned restaurants but I haven't been to shack shake in a while (missing those corporate lunches) so decided to give it a try. I always Yelp a restaurant before I go - even if it is my favorite place so when I read a couple of concerning reviews about how the burger was under cooked I got a little hesitant. I downloaded their shake shack app for pickup thinking I could get better results with my burger and timeliness. There is a 'well done' option for the burger. Great, I thought, I shouldn't have that issue. No such luck. First off the app said it would be done at 6:22pm, it was 6:45pm by the time it came out. I checked to make sure everything was in the bag but didn't rip open my burger to see if it was done. Well, by now you know where I'm going with this. My burger was severely under. We got another burger that was cooked exactly the same. I asked for no shake sauce too and guess what? It was on it. Really can't win here. First time visiting this location and my experience was great. They are offering free order of french fries when you buy any sandwich when you show them your covid vaccine card! Food was fresh. My only complaint is i wish staff were cleaning the tables more often after someone leaves from it. This might be my favorite so far out of all the Shake Shacks I've visited. Yes, it was a Sunday so there was probably nothing going on at Barclays. Line was super short. Difference with this location as with the one in fidi, the staff is way more efficient, focused, and professional. Like I ordered within waiting two minutes, only had to wait long enough to get condiments at the counter and boom it was sitting there glistening and ready to go. Got a crispy chicken sandwich, a regular cheeseburger, and side of french fries (sans cheese) this time to go. Everything tasted great even reheated. The place is large so there is a lot of seating. The bad thing is because its so close to Barclays center parking can be very difficult especially when there is a game. Never in my "shake shack life" of consuming a lot of shake shack in multiple locations has a manager ever come to my table and ask me if everything went okay. What can I say? I'm always in the mood for shake shack especially if I pass by one. This location is pretty busy thanks to Barclays center and the Atlantic terminal but the turnaround is usually quick. They do have a good amount of seats and during summer time, they also offer seats outside. But do you really want to eat outside with such heavy traffic and exhaust fumes? Anyway, their burgers are always solid and food is always hot. The only con here is that in busy times, they can mess up their orders. It happened to me twice where they gave me the wrong order. Word of advice: if you aren't going to a game or concert at the Barclays than I don't recommend eating here on an event night - it's just not worth the headache. But if you can deal with the crowds then you won't be disappointed by SS. You just can't be! Juicy flat-top grilled burgers with gooey cheese and super soft potato buns? So good! My favorite is their classic double cheese burger. And if you go for the burgers you've got to get a side of fries. Crispy golden crinkle fries. Yumyumyum. Besides the quality food this location has a few other things going for it... + Quick moving lines. Apparently they aren't intimidated by the arena crowds because the staff moved calmly and smoothly. This place is tight! Not in the hip, Brooklyn-ese meaning, but in the actual literal definition of tight: crammed, squeezed. Situated right across the street from the Barclays Center, the total square footage doesn't seem to mirror the total crush of people flowing in and out of the arena on a nightly basis. That said, Shake Shack knows how to cook their burgers on a flattop grill like its nobody's business, even out in Brooklyn. Walking into Shake Shack at around 6PM on a Friday, the line was almost out the door - which was impressive, as there were only about 10 people waiting on the line. The spacing issues continue as you look around to try to find a place to sit - theres limited seating, which is usually filled with people who are eating or waiting for their food to come out. Waiting for the food took abnormally longer than I've usually waited for an order at Shake Shack, presumably due to the huge volume of orders that come in. read more

I know Shake Shack got a lot of locations, and DUH, Shake Shack is slamming, but this 5 star review is for THIS PARTICULAR Shake Shack. This is my new fave Shake Shack to go to. A while back It used to be a little on the hood side in terms of attitude because the kids who worked there weren't the best at customer service & kind of short on patience (the lines can get crazy due to the fact 1) it's Shake Shack and 2) it's across from Barclays Center), but I think they've made significant strides and the customer service is top tier like at a fancy restaurant. Servers come around & check if everything's good, ask if you'd like refills, etc. My order was messed up and fixed and brought to my table in minutes with complimentary fresh fries since mine had gotten a little cold waiting for my new order. All done with a smile & upbeat attitude. As a former front of house manager for several restaurants, cafe's and coffeeshops, customer service goes a long way with me. I've since moved away to the sunnier shores of California & Brooklyn is mad different now, but when I'm in town, Shake Shack is my fast food go-to (gluten-free buns here!). You can't go wrong when another Shake Shack location opens up! And it's even better when they open it in my home borough! Like any other Shake Shack, this one is just as crowded, if not even more so because of its proximity to the Barclays Center across the street. I came here just before an Islanders/Devils hockey game on a Friday night at 6:45pm and it was extremely crowded with a line almost out the door! Although I was lucky enough not to have to wait for a seat, everyone else who was ordering either had someone reserving a seat/table for them or they lucked out and had to wait for someone to get up. However, we came back at about 10:30pm for dessert and there were plenty of seats post-game. When you get here, you basically know what to expect menu wise. The items are identical to any other Shake Shack, except a few items like the custards. The menu is plastered on the wall to the right of the line so you can't miss it. The only complaint I have and, it's a surprising one, is the customer service. I know how Shake Shack prides itself on its customer service and never had I encountered any issues before, but I felt the cashier was full of attitude and had the natural "please hurry up" look on her face when I was ordering. In no way am I condemning all the cashiers here because I saw a few that looked very happy with their jobs and were cheery, but the one I got was not. Hopefully, that was just a rare occasion and I won't encounter it again. read more

Oh my goodness. I can't even rave about my experience here enough. I ordered on the mobile app and came into the restaurant when it was incredibly busy. There was a game going on across the street. There were people everywhere, but the staff was really able to keep up with the crowd and had a smooth system going. I was there for three orders, all of which came out by the estimated time on the app. One even came out like 10 minutes early. I was so impressed with the organization and rapidity in service, despite the massive crowd. The food was just as pleasant. All of the orders came out correctly. Also, I can't rave enough about the truffle burger. OH MY GOODNESS. It was so flavorful, cheesy, and juicy. I can't wait to try it again. Since I was a noob, I set my burger baseline with the shack burger. The patty was perfectly charred and crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. I really like the facility because it's nice and roomy, the bathrooms are nice and it has a contemporary modern wood throughout. A big plus is the kitchen is transparent with plenty of customers surrounding it so I feel safe the workers are properly handling food at all times. The prices are decent for New York because I can get a single burger for $4 and some change instead of paying the typical $8, yet it's not the fast food you would get from a Burger King. Despite being in a pretty tourist-y area by being across from Barclays, this is one of the most pleasant Shake Shacks I've ever visited. For one thing, service is excellent, which might be on brand for the franchise, but it stood out here by any fast food restaurant standards. But better yet, the food upholds the Shake Shack brand as well. My last visit, I got the Chick'n Shack, the Shack-cago Dog, and Bacon Cheese Fries. I think that Shake Shack's chicken sandwich is underrated in the fast food realm, and this one was no exception. I'm thankful that they provide Louisiana Hot Sauce, which I would recommend drizzling on the patty. The rest of the ingredients are balanced well, sitting between a pretty potato bun. The Shack-cago Dog is something that really impressed me as a big fan of Chicago's own Portillo's. It's a bit too polished perhaps, but overall, it captures the taste of Chicago well, and it's delicious in its own right. I only wish that the hot dog itself was a bit more juicy... not sure how I feel about the split hot dog serving. The fries were a heart attack as always, so enjoy it before the cheese coagulates. This is serious advice... it gets hard to feel better about it later the longer you sit on it. In any case, I'll be back to this Shake Shack for sure if I'm ever in need of a quite bite in this area. Come on, man. You just can't go to Shake Shack and not have a great meal. It's kind of like McDonald's fries... you know exactly how good it's going to be. AND IT WAS! I ordered a chicken shack sandwich ($6.55) and an order of fries ($2.99). So I've never had the chicken sandwich but I think they've made a repeat customer out of me. The chicken wasn't dry, the sauce was creamy and not too strong and there wasn't too much of it, and the whole thing didn't fall apart when bitten into. It was a substantive sandwich with a thick piece of chicken. The photo doesn't look great, but it was delicious! It's a healthier (I think?) alternative to a cheesy burger. The fries were, as usual, out of this world. Crispy, crunchy, fragrant, perfectly salted. My girlfriend said that they were the best fries she's ever had, so there's that. The worst location. Just do yourself a favor and save yourself the hassle and go to the next door Chik Fil A. You will waste 30 minutes with the staff staring blankly at you while you wait like an idiot for an order that was ready 30 minutes ago. Mobile order orders don't get called, just placed on the shelf. I tried this place for the first time in Brooklyn, NYC. The place was overall clean and was not busy. We came in during the late evening somewhere around 9pm. The menu was self explanatory and in big print up against the walls which I appreciated because I struggle with my vision. I really loved the atmosphere here and the lighting. I like that they recycled items and that the chairs and tables we were sitting on were recycled. I really appreciate that they are conscious of the environment. Now to the food, the burger was overall great! A little bit rare than I expected but I enjoyed it. It was tasty and juicy. Fresh. And i ordered a side of cheese fries which I loved. It was crazy busy with literally hundreds of hungry people packed in an hour before a Paul McCartney concert across the street, so obviously we had to wait awhile for our food. And a table. That wasn't the problem. I asked for my meat to be well done; it was SO pink. My husband usually likes his medium rare, but it was too raw for even him. Yuck!
