    Beef Pho

Don't waste your money. I spent $18 on a beef pho to-go and it was mostly fatty brisket with a tiny container of broth and a laughable amount of bean sprouts and just the saddest little stack of onions. Too much money for too little. I won't be back.

My visiting friend chose this place since he wanted to try Bahn Mi for the first time... this was the right place. We got fried dumplings which were just as good as they look, one classic bahn mi and a lemongrass pork bahn mi. The classic bahn mi was good, but not the best I've had in Brooklyn. The lemon grass pork though was delicious. It was tender, smoky and had lots of flavor. Glad I tried it! The place smelled like fragrant pho broth so I would definitely try that next time.

We had a show fo catch at Barclays and came to grab a quick bite. Have tried other locations before... Packed on a Sunday night, cozy - tight space, with about 8-10 tables (2-4 config) and high tops, a few seats at the bar. We lucked out with a table for 2, and quickly ordered our food. Friendly service and food come out quick. Friend had the pork chop pho... and I got the classic banh mi, pork spring rolls and shrimp chips. The banh mi was ok, the baguette was not the best version I've had.. it didn't have the crunch, it usually offers. It's skinny version. The fillings were good tho. Spring rolls were delish! And shrimp chips had a different (but good) spin with salsa. As for the pho... friend says it was just "Ok la"... overall, a pretty good spot if you're around the area.

It's a cash-only Viet place in Brooklyn. I had their fried spring rolls, beef pho, taro chips, and pork tacos. I found everything to be really tasty! The beef pho was definitely my favorite, but the spring rolls stood out as well! The tacos was definitely interesting as I don't think I've had it Viet style before!

Vietnamese Drip Coffee + lemongrass Chicken Pho

Small, casual neighborhood sit-down serving Vietnamese food. Cash only btw!! Come prepared! The chicken pho + iced coffee was really good. It wasn't too busy this time, but it tends to be very busy in the weekends. Overall a great choice in the Park Slope area.

I came here for dinner with my friend as we were both craving Viet food. I have been to Five Spice on Mulberry Street and enjoyed their food. However, this location has a few different offerings than that location. The restaurant is cash only. The service is okay. Sometimes, they kept coming over to take the order when we just sat down and plop the check down before we even asked for it. Other times, they would just disappear and not even check in. I got the fried chicken banh mi with fries. I thought it was tasty and delicious. I did need to add hoisin and sriracha, though, to make it a bit more flavorful. My friend ordered the fish vermicelli. She thought it was tasty, and it was a huge portion. I had the chicken version before, and I thought it was tasty too. I would come again if I were in the mood.

We got our same pho again and they never miss on the flavor! Brough my mom with us this time and she tried the bubba with shrimp & vermicelli and she enjoyed it. We had to wait some time for a table of 3 but it was worth it. Remember they are cash only!

    Rooster Wings (pretty good).

I simply love this Viet spot. This place is innovative with their dishes, has respectable prices, and the food is flavorful. Seating can be cramped but there's a few tables outside. I sat both indoors & outdoors, dined for lunch & dinner, and service was attentive for each of my visits. I recommend getting their Rooster Wings, 5ive Special Pho, and the Viet & Braised Short Ribs Tacos. I honestly love their spicy options, which is uncommon for a Viet spot.

Affordable and okay. Not super authentic Viet staples, but heard the tacos are solid. I ordered the beef broth and banh mi. The broth lacked depth or much of a beefy/bone/collagen flavor, mostly tasted like msg and some spices. The banh mi's bread wasn't the freshest, the majority of the sandwich was pickled veggies while skimping out on the meat/pate a bit. Overall the flavor was decent but I was disappointed especially seeing its popularity. I'm not sure I would return but if you're craving Viet food I'm sure you'd be satisfied enough.

I've heard that viet food in New York is not that great, but I did manage to find 1 place that does viet food well. The broth is so flavorful and I didn't need to add any extra seasoning (which for me is a good indication of a good pho) The one down side is that it is cash only, but there is an ATM around the corner which is nice!

    Rice Vermicelli with Chicken

I really wanted to like 5ive Spice. It had been on my bookmark list for a long time. Arranged for an Uber Eats delivery this evening and anticipated having some good Vietnamese food. Although Chinese cuisine is my favorite of Asian food, I appreciate Vietnamese food for its Pho soup and light but discernable flavors. An order of Chicken Rice Vermicelli which I've had a gazillion times was pretty disappointing At first while unwrapping it, I thought it was visually appealing with a nice aroma. So why the 2 stars? There were many thick strips of grilled Chicken---all severely overcooked. Another strike was the inclusion of just one small dressing which meant the entire bowl was dry. With very little dressing and overcooked chicken, this was a huge miss. I thought some of the flavors were pretty good and it could have had potential. The advantage of dining in is the ability to send it back. With food delivery, this isn't possible. The noodles kept growing and I ended up throwing it away. Too bad.

    Slow Braised Short Rib Taco

Had the braised short rib tacos! They were phenomenal, my friend had the Short rib pho and a limeade and she also really enjoyed it. Food came out pretty quickly, and even though we put our name down for a table we really didn't have to wait that long before we brought in. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area, but it is cash only and a little small on the inside!

Cash only business. Cute mini outdoor seating with nice casual cozy indoor dining. Plenty of to go orders coming in and out. Fast staff and great tasting short ribs pho! The summer rolls are light and airy with the peanut sauce. Highly recommend!

I went on a Friday evening around 9:30pm. It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

I tried something different than my usual and went with the Adobada Tacos (Pork Al Pastor). The meat itself was spicy and a little rough, which leads me to believe it was maybe old meat. Instead of cubed, the pineapple was shredded which offered a nice touch. Unfortunately the actual taco got soggy by the time I ate it so I just picked out the meats and pineapple. There is plenty of avocado green sauce placed on top, which moving forward, I will request to be on the side to prevent the taco from getting soggy. Overall I probably should just stick to what I know/like so I'm willing to give this location another shot!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.
