I appreciate that I can customize the sweetness of my boba and I've enjoyed the food I've tried. This is a small, takeaway place in Park Slope. They have some seating outside, and a few bar seats inside, but it's pretty cramped inside that you'd probably wanna grab and go. I walked in, placed and ordered, and got my food within 5-10 min, so they are fast which I appreciated. I don't think they are very authentic, but it gets the job done. It seems to be one of the only places in the area that serves Vietnamese food and doesn't only take cash, which was a plus! I had walked to 2 other restaurants in the area and couldn't order just because I didn't have cash. I got the pho with grilled pork, which came to around $15. I originally wanted beef, as that's my usual order, but for some reason the menu said they only have beef in the crown heights location. I found that really strange, but the grilled pork was nice and I'm glad I tried it. Overall, the portion is kinda small for what you're paying, but it was tasty. As other yelpers suggested, portion size is a bit small, so it was a smart move that I ordered Bahn Mi on top of Pho. The pho did not look special by look, but tasted delicious, probably one of the top 5 places I tried in NY. Bahn Mi was crispy and delicious as well. For the price, I think I really enjoyed the meal! I came here around 7PM on a Sunday night after a Brooklyn Nets game because were we looking for some good/quick eats before heading home back to Washington D.C. I wanted some something relatively fast so found this hole-in-the-wall sandwich joint. When I walked in, it was clear that many people were ordering online for delivery to their homes. It seemed that lots of Latino dudes were walking in and out to make their deliver (is this why it's calling Banhmigos?). At any rate, there have a decent menu and their sandwiches are American-size--bigger than what you would get at a real Vietnamese banh mi joint. The price at about $8 a sandwich is not a bad. You can never go wrong with the Grilled Pork Banh Mi Sandwich if you're not too adventurous and really don't know what you'd like. They have powder-based boba drinks here as well (free on your birthday!). Someone who works there like Supreme since they put some decals in multiple places visible to customers. read more

Banhmigos! A pun on bahn mi and amigos but there's nothing Mexican about the food. A quick lunch stop or delivery destination that's stolen my taste buds. Their traditional banh mi is made with Vietnamese ham and paté and it's delicious. It comes with a nice crisp bread that doesn't scratch the mouth and it's loaded with pickles carrots and Daikon that really adds the right amount of acid to each bite. Their spring rolls are a little heavy on the noodles but the duck and the shrimp options comes with a good amount of protein and enough peanut sauce to quadruple dip both rolls. The Thai ice tea is pretty standard. They only have four seats in the place and it's not the best atmosphere, but the food speaks for itself. We ordered the following items: Shrimp Roll: Not the best, but it was decent, but they definitely need to work on the dipping sauce, since it tasted overly peanutty rather than traditional dip. Traditional Banh Mi - Didn't taste traditional to me, but I ordered this because I do love a banh mi with pate. I prefer the traditonal ones from Houston, Texas. When I asked the cashier about it, she said that the prices online haven't been updated in a while, and there's a 5% fee to use a credit card. I used to come here more frequently, but I find it difficult to get a consistent sandwich here. I always get "no cilantro" and "extra spicy", I've learned to eyeball the guy making the sandwich and inevitably after he makes it and they are about to hand it to me, I tell them I asked for no cilantro. They dig through the sandwich pulling out the cilantro (sometimes getting it all, sometimes not) and patch it together and hand it back to me. Same thing happened today, but on top of that, it wasn't spicy in the least and the meat was cold. The first time I got your traditional toasted banh mi with picked veges, pate, and Vietnamese cold cuts - it was great except the bread was not tasted in the way I have had it before. The baguette was a bit too soft and not crispy enough around the edges - you know you're biting into a good banh mi when half of your upper palate is scraped off. Lunch special is dishonest, don't expect the boba that you paid for. You will just get a regular line item. I purchased the shrimp salad lunch special with the boba tea through the restaurant website. When I arrived, the cashier claimed that I had purchased the regular Green salad and not the lunch special. When I pulled up the order and website to show her, I noticed the header was 'lunch special' and mentioned that it included the Boba Tea. However, the line item once selected just says 'Green Salad' the exact same as the non-lunch special 'Green Salad'. I showed this to the cashier and asked her how it is possible the lunch special line item didn't include boba if the option to 'add extra boba' was included for an extra fee. Cashier then told me that if I didn't write 'lunch special' and 'Boba' in the order's additional comments I couldn't expect the boba because they wouldn't know. I purchased the boba separately +5$ but I am not happy with the false advertising. This menu has been the same for a while now and I certainly cannot be the first customer to run into this issue. The cashier pretending to not know the glitch with the lunch special felt like gaslighting. I'd like a refund for the extra 5$ spent just getting the lunch special I originally paid for. read more

Although, I've never really been sad about any of them. 2. Don't get delivery if you can help it. It's quick and reliable, but the food definitely loses a little something on the way. All food really does. 3. Don't go anywhere near this joint from 3-4 pm. In fact, stay away from the Slope altogether anytime school is letting out. The food quality has seemingly declined particularly from the Brooklyn locations . I ordered two sandwiches via Uber eats . A chicken Bahnmi and my favorite atleast when it's executed well , the beef short rib . The chicken was good . Fresh bread , fresh veggies and the chicken albeit a tiny bit chewy was eventually polished off nicely! The problem I had was with their beef short rib . All the pieces of meat was disgustingly covered by thick gelatinous fatty inedible just flat out nastiness! . U fortunately my camera isn't working because I really want to make it crystal clear to anyone reading this . At over ten bucks for a sandwich , you'd expect to find one piece of meat you don't have to end up spitting out .Not here you won't . It's so unfortunate ,because I am now forever turned off by this place . I wanted to give my support ,but a business that repeatedly serves up food like this ( their other Bk location was slightly better ) doesn't deserve my support . The roast pork sandwich!!! Omg!! This is my first time here. I was in the neighborhood for a sample event that left me kinda hungry lol. So i walked past this place and made a mental note to stop in. I love a great banh mi, so when I heard about this place, naturally I had to try it. I tried the summer rolls (both the shrimp and the smoked duck) and a traditional bahn mi. Both summer rolls were fantastic. The duck one was particularly interesting as you rarely see that in a summer roll around NYC. The peanut sauce was pretty good, but a lot more liquidy than typical. Not a bad thing to me, but if you have a preference for more solid peanut sauces you might not like it. The banh mi was decent. The ingredients themselves, both the pork and the vegetables, were flavorful and tasty. My one complaint was about the bread. It was overly crispy (I like some crisp to my baguette of course, but this was a lot) and they seemed to carve out the baguette more than most places do. This is a solid banh mi spot. The bread is crusty and toasty, sweet and tangy pickled daikon and carrot, well seasoned meats. Totally recommend if you're in the area and looking to get your fix. The spicy isn't that spicy, so if you want extra spice add some sriracha. I've only had the Traditional that comes with a good smear of pate, pork, and Vietnamese ham. So good and so flavorful. Get extra meat, trust me you'll thank me later. Prices are a bit steep but it makes sense given the area. Boyfriend had the short rib and felt it was a bit under seasoned but still enjoyable overall.
