Vibes are immaculate here with an awesome playlist and stepping into this restaurant really feels like you're stepping into the most calm and vibey part of Vietnam. Lots of options, my friend and I got the chicken and veggie pho (I believe they do a more northern style of pho here), but overall really good and a perfect spot for a hot meal on a cold evening. Drinks are also yummy, I got the seasonal spritz to pair with my pho and it was awesome. Service is really good too, I recommend coming on a weekday since you'll definitely get a spot if you walk in.

Came here randomly and it was overall a good time. The place is a bit dim but not dark. It's a pretty cute date spot. I ordered their roasted chicken large plate that came with a roasted chicken thigh, crispy rice, shallot aioli, herb salad mix, house pickles. The food overall had the foundations to be really great, even though it lacked some seasoning and flavor. It's sad because a hint of spice, salt or even fish sauce would've elevated the dish. I also ordered their rabbit hole cocktail which was really tasty. It had carrots, lemon, ginger, triple sec, mezcal, and tequila. For a drink with two spirits...It was not overpowering. It was the perfect balance between flavors. The service was attentive, I did not feel rushed and the waitress was very helpful and honest about her favorites. I would go here at least one more time to try another entree.

Trendy restaurants with vibrant and modern vibe. We had a great server that was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some wonderful suggestions. We got the oysters, mussels, mustard green wraps for starters. The innovation on these dishes brings flares and flavor to original dishes. We also got the broken rice dish with pork chops and the crispy fry fish with rice paper. I love these 2 traditional dishes and Di An Di definitely kept the traditional flavors. Everything we had was amazing.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and was surprised by how busy it was. The place felt more like an American-Vietnamese fusion spot than a traditional Vietnamese restaurant. The beef pho was refreshing and light, though a bit too peppery and scallion-heavy for my taste. The noodles also weren't the typical pho noodles I expected. The rice cake omelette was quite good--the rice cake had a super chewy texture and the sauce complemented it really well. The sizzling turmeric fish platter was delicious, flavorful, and nicely presented. It came paired with cold noodles and rice cracker, which added a nice contrast of textures. Overall, a good meal with some interesting fusion-style dishes

I wanted to love Di An Di, but I felt like the dishes here were either too much or not enough. I've came here on separate occasions -- first time was to try their northern style pho and second time was to try their other dishes. Their pho thin Ha Noi the first time around was a little too peppery for my liking and not as clean tasting as the traditional northern pho. I usually prefer northern pho, but this just was just too much for me. The wok-seared brisket did add a nice smoky component to the dish though. Came around this other time to try their other dishes: BANH BOT CHIEN: A little pricey for what it is ($18). I felt like the ones I make at home are better. The rice cakes were a little too soggy for my liking; I prefer it with a crispy exterior and soft interior. Egg is egg and the nuoc cham could've been sweeter. Entire dish only came with 4 rice cakes, so ideal for groups of less than 4. OYSTERS: My party had mixed feelings about this, but I personally enjoyed it. The oysters were fresh and nicely presented -- dressed with a savory scallion-oil and garnished with peanuts which gave it a nice crunch. The scallion oil did make the raw oysters a little warm, which threw my friends off a little bit. Also a little pricier than oysters at other spots -- 4$ per oyster or 46$ for a dozen. PHO GA: Since the pho thin Hanoi was a little too much for me last time, I expected the pho ga to be somewhat similar. The broth was definitely lighter and cleaner compared to its richer beef cousin, but i found it a little too bland. You could add an egg yolk for richness (at an additional cost), which I probably should've done. I had to dump a lot of the ginger-scallion sauce and herbs provided to enhance the flavor a bit more. The chicken pieces, although not a lot, were very tender and moist. COM TAM SUON NUONG: The pork was tender and well-seasoned. I usually don't care for broken rice, but this was probably the best dish of the night. The suon nuong was savory, sweet and smoky from the grill. They provided enough accoutrements like do chua, herbs and a sunny side egg. Would recommend this! DRINKS: Pho fashioned was heavily spiced, but I got used to it as I drank it more. Could definitely taste the star anise. The espresso martinis were the crowd pleaser tho. Di An Di is definitely more of an elevated Vietnamese spot in a trendier, more polished setting. Certainly not the cheapest for casual Vietnamese food. Can't say I would come here often, but it's nice for the vibes.

Cha Gio made with fresh ingredients, wrapped in perfectly deep-fried flaky shells, set the tone for a meal that feels both comforting and authentic. The sizzling Cha Ca La Vong turmeric fish platter arrives aromatic and mouthwatering--an absolute must if you enjoy dill. There are also daily specials not listed on the menu, which makes each visit feel like a new discovery. The interior is chic and spacious, filled with greenery and light, creating a stylish yet welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for gathering with friends. Service is super friendly and attentive, adding warmth to the experience and making Di An Di a standout spot for authentic Vietnamese food in Brooklyn.

Came here for dinner with my friend (we had a reservation) and got seated quickly. The space is modern but warm. The dim lighting made it feel intimate, perfect for a date night, and also great for groups of family and friends sharing meals. We ordered Bánh Bột Chiên (rice cake omelette), Gỏi Đu Đủ (papaya salad), Phở Thìn Hà Nội (Hanoi-style pho), Cơm Cháy Gà Nướng (roast chicken with rice), and the warm coconut tapioca pudding dessert. The rice cake omelette was chewy and flavorful, and the papaya salad was super fresh and crunchy. The pho was fragrant and comforting. The roast chicken with rice had crispy skin and juicy meat, but wasn't too unique otherwise. We were sooo full, but we still had the dessert, which was sweet and creamy with chewy tapioca. I would highly recommend the Bánh Bột Chiên (rice cake omelette)! Overall, Di An Di is a solid Vietnamese restaurant in Greenpoint with great atmosphere and solid value. Would recommend if you're in the area!

Came here for a birthday dinner. We got the omelette to split (really good but tiny, tiny portions for a large group. I'd say 1 should be shared between 2-3 max) The rice crisp salad was also good! I'm usually more of a beef pho person but the chicken was a bit better. The skewers were fun to make my own rolls with. Cocktails are strong! Expect to spend about $50-60 per person.

Ambiance is great for a date, casual dinner, or solo dining experience. I heard some songs from 2010s that made me nostalgic. Food is tasty and flavorful. Service is friendly. I've been a few times before to dine in with others but today, I came solo. There was a perfect cozy window seat that I snagged before the rush of dinner on a Saturday. Here for a quick meal, I ordered the crispy spring rolls with pork and shrimp, and the vegetarian omelette with tofu. Both were delicious. Hot tip: Happy hour is from M-F 5-7pm on drinks. For Saturday, it ended at 5pm.

Di An Di was a cute find in a beautiful neighborhood that I will definitely venture out to more often from now! Yummy Vietnamese food in nyc is difficult to come across and I was pleasantly surprised. The interior design of the restaurant felt so homey and green, it was very healing to sit in. My favorite thing in the menu was the omelette and the papaya salad. I think if I were to come back I would reorder those two dishes but I would want to try other items on the menu for the main course.

Came here for dinner - ordered pho, fish dish, and spring roll (3 pieces). Dishes were flavorful, but it's nothing too different from any average Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown. With that being said, the dishes were overpriced for the smaller portions. The server seemed inattentive with our needs and it was hard to find the server when needed. I wasn't too impressed with the meal.

Great twist on Vietnamese. Pho was legit. The mustard green veggie roll was pretty incredible considering it's vegetarian. The Pho French dip Bahn mi was my one of favorite dish- only available on weekends. I can't wait to come back. Service was excellent and attentive

However, I was quickly proven wrong. Not only was the service topnotch, but the drinks were surprisingly delicious and refreshing. There's a ton of options which is also surprising considering the tap only format. Upon further reflection of how tiny the bar is, it makes sense why they would go this route. It would be challenging for one person let alone two to be behind that bar shaking and stirring. I also heard there's a back area with more seating but we didn't explore much further than the front bar stool seating. We were lucky to grab 2 seats at the bar as the rest of the seating actually seemed a bit cramped and uninviting. They advertise a heated back patio but I don't think the heat was on and no one was there, which is a bummer. Regardless, the theme is nice with everything attributable to their "laboratory" ambience. Everything is served in beakers or similar glasses. It can get a bit crowded sitting at the bar as that's where everyone orders drinks but otherwise this was quite enjoyable. Will definitely keep on the list for HH.
