No wait for lunch on a Saturday. Mango tango smoothie was good but a little to yogurty for me. Pho bo em was yummy - but not worth going out of the way for imo. 3.5 stars.

After going to different location or a very cold day walking around New York City sometimes all that's it's needed it some pho ! Came here around 350pm and they said they couldn't help us and to come back at 5pm , because it seems like they close for an hour . And they close at 4pm , so be aware of this . Pho was good , service was not so great .

Got both the Pho Bo and Chicken Vermicelli and the mango and pineapple smoothie (forgot to take pics). The food was amazing, especially the smoothies! Highly recommend Pineapple Express if you like a sweet and sour drink. The food was delicious, particularly the pho broth. The rice noodles were really chewy and the perfect texture imo. The serving size is pretty big as well. We could've probably shared the food between 3 people. Wish it was closer to me so I could come here more often.

Given the lack of Asian restaurant options in the area, my friends and I stumbled in here and were pleasantly surprised. On a sweltering summer day, I got the grilled chicken over vermicelli (bún ga nuong) and a Vietnamese coffee and they hit the spot. The chicken had a wonderful smokey char, noodles were a bouncy texture, veggies were fresh, and the fish sauce/nuoc cham was perfectly balanced. My friends ordered the pho and the bun bo hue and were super happy with their orders as well. If you're ever in the area, would definitely recommend stopping by!

Friendly staff..stopped here while I was in Dumbo for a bowl of pho...cute little spot..attentive staff..so nice charged my phone because I was traveling for the day and forgot charger. The 4 stars is for the staff...3 stars for the beef pho which wasnt very flavorful and small amount of noodles and beef...prob wont come back.

They take res via Yelp, FYI! We did a walk in for a party of 2 at 3pm on a rainy day and it was pretty empty. I had to wait for my friend and was allowed to sit and wait for her at our table. Staff here is very attentive and friendly. The Pho here is more so like Northern pho, with the fatter vermicelli noodles. I enjoyed my Beef Pho and the broth was good. I was asked if I wanted fresh noodles or not, which was a question I was never asked at other viet spots before. I requested fresh noodles, which were a bit softer in my broth. Their fresh noodles are made daily vs their other kind of noodles made a day before - idk how much of a difference it would've been tbh. We also got their Spring Rolls to share, which were standard. It also came with pickled radishes on the side, which were nice and crunchy. Overall, a decent neighborhood spot with good, yummy options. I've tried other apps here before (Banh Xeo and Chicken Wings) and they were great as well. Would recommend to others for a comfortable meal.

Local Vietnamese restaurant with a wide selection to choose from. This spot was recommended by a local who loves it. Unfortunately, we didn't feel the same way. We just thought it to be average, maybe we came at an off time. The food was fine, service was okay, place was clean and was super busy by the time we left.

Great bowl of pho! The soup was delicious and was great for a cold day. I have not had a lot of pho in nyc, but this was one of the best one I have had here thus far!

We were able to walk in on a weekday for dinner and the restaurant was not busy at all. The service was friendly. We both ordered the pho, and the noodles were wider that usual. I think I prefer the classic thin noodles.

We visited on a Sunday and arrived a bit early -- the place opens at 5 PM, so we had to wait a little. Definitely check the hours before heading there. We were really hungry and had already decided what to get, so we ordered right away: one Pho Bo Em (Beef Noodle Soup) and a plate of chicken wings. The ambience was really cute and gave off a refined, cozy vibe. Our food arrived about 15 minutes later, served with fine cutlery and water by the staff. The pho was absolutely delicious -- the broth was rich and full of flavor, the beef was tender and tasty, and even the fresh vegetables we added complemented it perfectly. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. The chicken wings were just average, nothing particularly memorable. But the pho? Easily something I'd come back for again.

Nice spot in Dumbo for Vietnamese food! The service here is super top tier and everyone I spoke to was really friendly and welcoming. I came for dinner on a weeknight with a friend and was able to make a reservation without an issue. It was spacious, clean, and had a nice modern ambience. We ordered the family style braised pork (family style) and the beef pho, both to share. The food came quickly and the servers were helpful in bringing extra bowls and plates for splitting the food. The pork was incredibly flavorful and cooked well, and there was a heavenly sauce that it was cooked in that I recommend drizzling over your rice. The pho was good and flavorful and came with bean sprouts and siracha and hoisin sauce The food was a bit expensive for the amount that we got, but it was very tasty and is a welcome choice to have in DUMBO.

Spring rolls

Update: the spring rolls are excellent as well. Would have loved a little lemon/lime with my pho as well, but overall the standard is excellent so won't hold it against them.

Solid Vietnamese food! Everything we ate was great and I can see this being a staple place for people in the area. Staff was great and attentive and the restaurant itself was clean. Also a good restaurant for solo diners, as shown in the attached photo. Plenty of bar-style seating apart from the actual bar area.

Is there any outdoor seating?

Unfortunately, they do not offer outdoor seating, but the indoor tables are nicely spaced.

Is the street parking near the restaurant easy to find?

Street parking is difficult to find but not impossible. It’s easier on weekdays, particularly after 5pm or before noon. Weekends are extremely difficult.

TL;DR version- Some high highs and some very low lows. Hot Figs was a fun app. By a mile, the soups…read morewere the favorites, so I would recommend the Pepián or Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo. Nice happy hour and a large chocolate drink selection I was at this unique Guatemalan (ish) restaurant a while back with one of my groups. I said "ish" because the menu has dishes from all over, ranging from sandwiches to BBQ ribs to Guatemalan and Mexican soups. It's out there, and even though not everything works that well, it's fun, and if you can't find something you want to order here, you probably shouldn't go out to restaurants. There was also live jazz music that night, which was loud but nice to listen to. Since it was happy hour, a bunch of us got drinks. I went with a maracuya margarita, which was decent; someone else had a jalapeño margarita, someone had a beer, and someone had a mojito. There were a few nice hot sauces on the table, with the red one reminding me of salsa macha as it had a smoky kick and a spicier green sauce reminiscent of ají verde. They gave us some complimentary blue corn chips and a very mild black bean dip, which was tasty enough and hard to complain about, as it was free. From the appetizers, we got the Hot Figs for $15.95, consisting of honey goat cheese, corn tortilla chips, and plum + pumpkin seeds. This was a unique and fun blend and reminded me more of something you would find in a wine bar. The mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of crunch from the seeds, was nice. This was good, and I would recommend it for a table rather than for a solo diner. There was also The Zingy Salad for $21.95, featuring zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and a jalapeño infusion. $18.95. The salad was fine with a bit of crunch and a mild spiciness. It was fine, though a bit wet, for lack of a better word. The best dishes of the night were the soups, which each had its own distinct flavor profile. My sight presence went to the Pepián for $21.95, consisting of chicken, pumpkin/sesame seeds, green tomatillo, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, carrots, chili coban/pasta/guaque, and potato + rice. There was plenty of tender chicken inside, with the soup having a nice roasted flavor with some spice and a bit of sourness. The potatoes and rice on the bottom added more sustenance to this dish. Almost equally delicious was the Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo for a dollar more with shredded chicken, tomato, black pepper, garlic, onions, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, chipotle, Monterey jack cheese, and crunchy blue corn tortilla chips. By comparison, this was a bit heartier, with the melted cheese and shredded tortilla chips inside, similar to soups found in Mexican cuisine. While I also liked the mix of veggies a bit more in this one, as it added a bit more texture, I still slightly preferred the flavor of the other soup, as I usually prefer a bit more spice. The rest of the food was fine. The TPC sandwich for $19.95 with chicken, peanut butter, coconut cream, ginger, cilantro, pickled carrots, and lime was fine. For the number of ingredients, I found it a bit sweet, likely from the cream and the peanut butter mix. The bread was nice, but it also fell apart. It came with a nice side salad with a good vinaigrette. The most expensive at $24.95 were the Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, consisting of baby back ribs with rice and beans. The ribs were almost a bit too tender as they lacked any bite, which was nice, but the sauce was a bit too generic tasting, reminding me of Sweet Baby Ray's or something similar. The rice and beans were standard. This was also OK. Next came some dessert. There was first the $12.95 Rosemary Churros served with dulce de leche & chocolate dips. While I'm not sure if it worked, the rosemary did add a unique smell and a bit of flavor, and at least it wasn't generic. The churros themselves were hot, and the sauces were standard, with my preference being the dulce de leche. I also ordered a Champurrado for $7.95, which was fine. It wasn't as thick as I expected, though perhaps the style is a bit different than the champurrados I rarely buy from Mexican street carts. The chocolate flavor was very nice, though, and I like that it wasn't too sweet. Another person got a $4 Alfajor, which I got a bite of, which was standard. This place is a bit hard to rate. The two soups were wonderful, I liked the appetizers, and I found a couple of the other dishes just OK. Overall, it was a good meal, but I'm not craving to go back. This would be the perfect 3.5, but I'll round up as that doesn't exist.

Plus there was stuff that the 2 kids with us would eat. Our servers were lovely and helpful -- I had the Jocon (a flavorful chicken soup/stew), one person had a omelette, another had chicken, and an another wrap/sandwich. There were drinks -- coffee, hot chocolate, and something fruity. They also brought us corn chips and a bean dipping sauce to start -- YUM! I really liked the hot green sauce that accompanied the meal, too. This is a great find!

Every table has a placemat with crayons which is such a fun way to keep kids and adults entertained. The food was delicious and tasted fresh, living up to their messaging on sourcing local food. We ordered the egg katsu sandwich and the eggs rothko. The sandwich was very well made with a nice crisp panko crusting that didnt feel heavy on the oil, and yet still managed to have a light airy egg inside. The eggs rothko was buttery and flavorful but still managed to not feel too heavy. The broiled tomatos on the side were a nice touch to contrast the egg and toast from the main dish. Overall I enjoyed this place and would love to come back to try more dishes. The vibe was friendly and welcoming, making it the perfect weekend brunch spot.
