We had a great meal at Lemongrass in Brooklyn! Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant was on theme with all the lemons and I loved it! It brings a great pop of color.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For drinks, we tried the Yuzu Margarita and the Piña Colada Mocktail. The Yuzu Margarita had a refreshing citrusy flavor, while the mocktail was creamy, tropical, and perfect if you're looking for a non-alcoholic option. To start, we ordered the Tofu Bao Bun and Calamari. The bao bun was soft and fluffy with well-seasoned tofu, and the calamari was crispy without feeling too heavy. For our mains, we had the Spaghetti Kee Mao and the Fresh Basil Fried Rice with tofu (no egg). The Kee Mao was packed with bold Thai flavors and had just the right amount of spice. The basil fried rice was fragrant, satisfying, and made exactly as requested, making it a great vegetarian option. We wrapped up the meal with the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect ending. The mango was sweet and ripe, and the sticky rice was rich and creamy with just the right amount of coconut flavor. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and attentive service. We'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!
This place can be a little bit of a wait so don't be surprised if there is a line! The food her is fantastic I love every dish I ever had and the portions are huge! I love in traditional dishes like green curry they give you the option to have a choice of protein such as crispy pork belly. Definitely do the crispy pork belly you will not be disappointed. The cocktail menu is extensive and delicious. They have certain drinks that are service inside of the fruit which is a fun touch. Lemongrass Brooklyn is a great spot for a fun night out with beautiful presentation and genuinely tasty food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is lovely, with lemon accents throughout and a warm, lively atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was attentive and friendly all night. We started with the watermelon margarita, served in a hollowed out watermelon and garnished with edible flowers, pineapple, and mint. It was as delicious as it was photogenic. The lychee juice was also very refreshing and delightful! The standout of the night was the duck - we ordered the duck bao and duck choo chee (granted I also love duck lol), incredibly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served in a generous portion that we could barely finish. We also shared the soft shell crab salad and the eggplant basil with crispy pork belly, both well textured and beautifully plated. We ended with the mango sticky rice, a perfect not too heavy way to close out the meal. Highly recommend for a date night or a celebration with friends. Will definitely be back.
I was in the area with friends and went here since one of them visited before. As you approach the restaurant the heavy lemon and leaf decor is the first thing you notice. That continues into the restaurant and is amplified. Seating in the restaurant is tight as it is in many restaurants in that area. Nonetheless they made it work with the close quarters. Service was excellent and our food came out relatively quickly. I had the crab meat fried rice. Be sure to add the spicy sauce that comes with it. It's good that it was served on the side so you can customize the spice level to your preference. My friend who had the pineapple fried rice was able to request some to add to her dish and take the excess home. There was a good amount of flavorful crab meat in the dish. Rice was not oily and had a semi soft texture. Compared to others it was a bit drier. Prices are on the higher side but they are on the seated platform where you can earn cash back. I'd comeback if I'm in the area again.
Had dinner at Lemongrass on Court St in Brooklyn with my little one. Ordered the crab fried rice--on its own it was nothing special, but once I mixed it with the sauce on the side, the flavor really came through. What worked well for me as a parent: I could scoop out a plain portion for my kid first, then mix the sauce into the rest. One dish, two ways. The clam soup was quite savory, no fishy taste, and the clams were tender. The broth had that Thai-style sourness that wakes up your appetite. The shrimp the server brought out was crispy with a creamy sweet glaze--enjoyable to eat. The short rib was tender and well seasoned. Also tried two non-alcoholic drinks--the mulberry one leaned more fruity and tart, while the rose one had a noticeable floral aroma. Neither was overly sweet; both were refreshing. Overall a comfortable meal, the kind of place I'd go back to.
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant - Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Style Over Substance: A Disappointing Thai Experience I really wanted to love Lemongrass. The buzz around this Cobble Hill spot had me excited, and walking in, it's easy to see where their energy went -- [[HIGHLIGHT]]the decor is undeniably attractive and the ambience is carefully curated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, that's where the effort seems to have stopped. From the moment we sat down, the cracks began to show. The service was mediocre at best, and our party felt uncomfortably rushed throughout the meal -- hardly the relaxed dining experience you'd hope for. To make matters worse, the kitchen got our order wrong and offered absolutely zero acknowledgment or apology for their mistake. That kind of indifference to a paying customer is simply unacceptable. I hate to leave a bad review, unfortunately it was a bad experience I'd prefer others didn't have ti experience. Now, the food itself -- the whole reason you go to a restaurant. Disappointing doesn't quite cover it. The pork belly was so inexplicably lean it could have passed for tenderloin. If you're putting pork belly on the menu, deliver pork belly. The pad see ew suffered from a glaring protein-to-noodle imbalance, leaving you wondering where the substance went. Even the drinks, a relatively low bar to clear, managed to underwhelm. For the prices they're charging, this is simply not acceptable. Cobble Hill deserves better Thai food than this. Save your money. Keep looking.
Came here with friends on a busy day and was happy to get seated. The drinks are SO FUN. My friend got the pina colada that comes fully in a pineapple, it was great. I had the shrimp pad thai which was delicious. Great options for vegetarian and gluten free friends. Haven't been here in years! But last Sunday I decided to stop in around 8pm to grab a bite. It was so packed when we arrived, I didn't think we were going to get a table but luckily we were able to snag a table right away since it was just 2 of us. The service was good, nothing too spectacular or overly friendly but it was quick and efficient. We had a young lady that was training, so she was being guided by someone else but she did a good job. Drinks: w head the cha-ba and the passion fruit margarita. The cha-ba was a big miss but the passion fruit margarita was great! Food: we had the shrimp roll to start. It came out piping hot and was flavorful and the sweet chili sauce complimented it well. For entrees we had the pad Thai noodle with chicken and the pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp. Both dishes came out hot and fresh. The pineapple fried rice was a big serving and it was very good! The pad Thai serving was more on the smaller side. I wish I would've asked if they could make it spicy because I requested chili oil after to add to it but they didn't have. Spice aside, the flavors were great!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]the service and ambiance were both amazing as well![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]on the contrary, there was no air conditioner when I went in 100 degrees weather so sitting indoors with only a fan made me feel a bit uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] besides that, I think if you check out the restaurant when it's much cooler, you would definitely have a better experience! definitely check this place out when you get the chance!

Lemongrass Brooklyn never disappoints in their detailed presentations!!! Their summer cocktails served inside fresh fruit were such a fun touch and felt like we were on vacation. The Watermelon Margarita was refreshing and the Piña Colada was the perfect tropical treat. We started with the Lychee Shrimp and the Thai Grilled Beef salad, both packed with flavor to kick off the meal. For our mains, my favorite order was the Whole Fried Branzino with spicy choo chee curry on the side. My go-to order stole the show as it was crispy, tender, and spicy. The Khao Moo Dang my friends mentioned was both tasty satisfying. The Brooklyn Steak came sizzling and was juicy and cooked perfectly Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert. I came here for dinner with my family. The decor was very colorful and aesthetic. We ordered the BBQ beef ribs, the lemongrass pork chop, and the char siu and crab over dry egg noodles. All the dishes tasted really sweet for some reason especially the char siu. The portions were large though. Service was friendly and fast. I think this place seems to be focused more on being trendy than having good food so if you care more about atmosphere, this is the place for you.
They sure can pack a lot of people into a small space! So don't go here if you don't like crowds! Service was super quick though. I appreciate how quickly everything was brought out. Drinks were fine, a little under sweetened. Food was good, small portions than typical for Thai, but you could tell these dishes were made with higher quality ingredients (the fried rice didn't taste so oily)! Great spot for date night!

We also got the crab rangoons, chicken wings and the whole branzino which was so tender and the herbs really came through, honestly so good We also ordered the pad see ew and the texture was great, if a Thai restaurant can't nail a classic dish like that then are they really that good? This one delivered. On top of that we got the watermelon margarita mocktail which came served inside a whole watermelon with fruit, such a fun presentation and so refreshing especially with how hot it's been lately Service was awesome the whole time and the food came out fresh and flavorful. We've been to Lemongrass Brooklyn a few times now, and every time we go, the atmosphere is what sticks with me the most. The inside is honestly beautiful. They have these decorations hanging from the ceiling, and they switch things up for the holidays, so it always feels warm and fun. There's usually good music playing too, which adds to the whole vibe. It's almost always busy, no matter when you show up. We've even gone at 9 p.m. thinking it would be quiet, and it was still packed. The staff is always really friendly and efficient, especially considering how much they have going on. Because it's such a lively spot, little things do slip through the cracks sometimes. There was one time when our order never made it to the kitchen and we had to reorder after about twenty minutes, and another time when my shrimp fried rice came out as pork instead. None of it was a huge deal, and they were genuinely apologetic both times, but it's something to keep in mind if you're going in with a tight schedule. As for the food, I really enjoy it. It's not the most traditional Thai food I've ever had, and it's definitely not very spicy, but the flavors are good and the portions are generous. I'm always impressed by the freshness and quality of the meat and vegetables. The shrimp, the grilled pork, the veggies, everything always tastes fresh and well cooked, and they give you plenty of protein and vegetables so your dish never feels like it's mostly rice or noodles. Some of my go to dishes are the pineapple fried rice, the panang curry, the basil stir fry, and the shrimp woonseen. The shrimp in that one are huge and really flavorful. Honestly, you can't go wrong with much on the menu. Overall, it's a great spot with good food, great vibes, and really kind people. If you're not in a rush, I definitely recommend checking it out, and it's worth making a reservation since it fills up fast. read more
The decor, the food, the flavors, the service, the drinks....so basically everything was top notch...came to lemongrass to celebrate alot of accomplishments and left lemongrass fully satisfied and in good spirits. Everything was tasty, flavorful and eye-catching. The server did a great job handling a large group and the chefs did a great job sending out all meals in a timely manner. Everything was hot..sweet..spicy and ohh so good. Those who were vegan enjoyed..only ate fish enjoyed....It was a smorgasbord of different dishes and there was no complaints. Very vibrant Thai restaurant in Brooklyn. I thought that the food and ambience were both very good. We started with the Lychee Shrimp. They tasted exactly how one would expect the combination of shrimp with lychees to taste. Very sweet, but a flavorful mix nonetheless. We had the Mango Shrimp for our entree with a side of Basil rice and I thought they were both very good. The restaurant has a trendy atmosphere with many colorful flowers hanging from the ceiling. I recommend the fried red snapper and duck. the drinks / mocktails were merely okay - very sweet. but the entrees were pretty exceptional. -- pricey but reasonable in light of the portion sizes. I recommend making a reservation as this place gets full very quickly and has a decent waitlist, even on weeknights. the interior is quite maximalist in decoration with fake flowers and leaves hanging off of the ceilings, and it's a very relaxed and casual vibe. the service was fast and friendly. Golden crispy wontons = 10/10 literally so good we got chicken Udon ke maw - 9.5/10 very good aswell nothing to complain about but got full very fast Basil fried rice -8.8/10 maybe if I make it extra spicey it would have more savory taste to it and the shrimp tasted plain they had no juicy savory taste to it the one from to be tha the shrimps have a savory juicy taste these ones didn't and I didn't like that - A Lychee ice tea- 10/10 sweet tasted just like lychee no flaws rlly Mango lemonade - 9/10 - A The service was OK. I was taken here on a surprise first date. Apparently, this establishment is well known on TikTok (I don't use TikTok). The ambiance is beautiful. Very quaint place with great food. This was also my first time trying Thai food and it didn't disappoint. The staff is kind and the food came out rather quickly even though they were busy. We had missed our reservation time but they were able to accommodate us anyway. I got the basil fried rice (I heard this is a staple) with shrimp and a Thai tea. I liked everything. Absolute 5/5 experience! I stumbled across this place walking the area, and was drawn in by the beautiful decor. I was solo, and was able to get seated within 10 minutes. The restaurant vibes and decor are so cute! There are flowers everywhere, and warm lighting that boosts your mood, while keeping the space intimate. I ordered the lychee shrimp appetizer and chicken Tom Kha soup and they were both out of the park delicious. The lychee shrimp is a must order! It is crispy friend shrimp, with lychee pieces topped with a lychee sauce that adds a rich sweetness all on a bed of greens. It was our first time at Lemongrass Brooklyn, and we were impressed from the very start! For a busy Wednesday night, the wait was only about 10 minutes, and once seated, we were immediately struck by how charming and stylish the décor was. Casual yet chic, perfect for an intimate dinner, small celebration, or gathering with friends. Service was also excellent. Taylor was our server, and the entire waitstaff did an amazing job keeping everything seamless throughout the night. We started with the Lychee Shrimp, which ended up being a standout dish. The shrimp was super fresh, light, and crispy, and the bursts of lychee throughout the plate paired surprisingly well. I'd never had shrimp with lychee before, but it worked so beautifully that I'd happily order it again. We also tried the Chicken Satay, which was savory, smoky, and perfectly juicy, wasn't dry at all. The cucumber relish sauce paired especially well with it. For mains, we shared the Beef Pad Thai and Chicken Panang Curry. The Pad Thai was excellent, the noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, never mushy, and carried a nice smoky flavor, while the beef was tender and flavorful. The Chicken Panang Curry had a wonderful, slightly spicy flavor with just the right amount of kick. I do wish there had been a bit more chicken in the dish, but the sauce itself was so delicious that it was still a hit. We paired our meal with the Morakot cocktail, which was balanced and refreshing, not overly strong on the vodka, which made it easy to enjoy alongside the food. Dessert was the cherry on top: the Blueberry Cheesecake. Honestly, it exceeded expectations and was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. Smooth, creamy, not overly tart, and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that melted right in your mouth, the perfect ending to the night. Overall, Lemongrass Brooklyn is an absolute gem. Between the inviting atmosphere, thoughtful service, and incredible food, this is a spot I'd highly recommend to anyone. Can't wait to come back on our next trip to New York! read more
My first time here at lemon grass! I've had this place bookedmarked instantly for my NYC trip, and have heard good things from coworkers. Instantly I love the atmosphere. It's a cute type of hole in the wall spot. The interior design is very cute with flowers decor on the walls everywhere. I also love the service. The waiters always checked up on instantly and the food came out quick. Shoutout to their service, one of the best I've been. Food & Drinks Morakot - it was probably one of biggest surprise. I think each element complimented the drink well. It tasted like a pina colada. I love the drink Lychee shrimp - I loved this dish. It reminded me of a honey walnut shrimp with crispy chips at the bottom and lychee. It just worked. The shrimp were huge and bouncy and perfectly crispy covered in their sauce. Their sauce wasn't overly sweet , like others, it complemented the shrimp very well. Chicken skewers - I really enjoyed this dish. The chicken was still moist and had a good amount of char flavor. I love the two dipping sauces either vinegar sauce or peanut sauce. My favorite was the vinegar sauce. Panang curry w/ chicken - ooo this was spicy but a good level spicy. I think the spiciness helped give another depth of flavor. The panang curry was well done flavors with curry and coconut. Pad Thai w/ beef - I'm never a fan of pad Thai. But I was a fan of this pad Thai. The noodles were perfectly al dente, and it had some texture. I think the pad Thai had a great combination of crunch to go with it from the fresh veggies. Tonight we made the reservations and experienced a sit down in the main restaurant for dinner. As stated earlier, this place is always crowded- make the reservations! Tonight I tried the yellow curry and my friend had the veggie spring rolls and vegan pad Thai. I also was able to get some pictures of the food this time. One of my favorite Thai places. Reasonable pricing, great flavor and gorgeous setting (it looks so whimsical). read more

I loved Lemongrass! Their duck pad thai was flavorful and the duck was cooked perfectly. The waitress made sure to check up on our table often. I would want to go again during the day. Very cute inside but as most nyc restaurants, space is limited so tables are verryyyyy close to one another. Service was standard Came for a quick bit with a friend, I had the sautéed beef ginger style and my friend had the Thai garlic chicken. My ginger beef was great and full of flavor, the Thai garlic chicken lacked garlic flavor lol, and was heavy on the oyster sauce tbh. It's beautiful. The flower motif even continued into the bathroom. But it's too crowded to the point others' bags were touching me. If you're sensory avoidant, it's best to avoid this place. Otherwise, I think it's ok to come again. It does have a romantic atmosphere. When I asked my wife what she thinks, she said good and expensive. I prefer more affordable places unless they're doing something very special with the food. I think the pictures look better than how the food actually tastes. To me, everything tasted average and didn't stand out. If you come here, you'd be mostly paying for the ambience. Wait staff were friendly and timely. read more
Had an amazingly spicy time at lemongrass. Very hard to miss once you pull up to Court Street, you know you're in for a good time before you even walk in. I generally forget to take pictures of the entrances of places but I did here. There's a small outdoor areas with heating for the winter months. There's also a doorman to welcome you once you walk in. Staff was very friendly once we got in. Also super easy to make a resy direct on Yelp. We ordered the sangria, vege spring rolls, red curry with pork belly and steak. Rolls were super crispy and flavorful. The star was definitely the red curry. I'm not big on curry but I'd be back for just that dish. The steak is cooked medium well but spiced and cooked so that it's still juicy. Great portions, great price, great staff. Wish full filled!! This place has been on my list for a minute now and I got a chance to go. Started off with drinks and they were good but also so ig friendly. I tried the chicken Param and was amazed because it had so many veggies like I liked. Nothing we ate tasted bad and that mango sticky rice was all I needed to round out the meal. The restaurant is decorated so beautifully, with florals from outside to inside. I'm a flower girly so I was thoroughly pleased with the decor. The service was good and the waitress was pleasant and patient. I had the Pina Colada and it was sooooo good and presented very well, inside of the whole pineapple. The duck bao buns were my favorite. They were really good. I also had the shrimp dumplings and Chicken Pad see ew. Everything was so good.
