I loved Amy's! I had the chicken wings, Mango Salad, and tom yum soup. Everything was so fresh, bright, and delicious. The wings were juicy and crispy, and every bite kept me coming back for more. The staff is so kind and attentive. And always finish the meal with dessert, the mango sticky rice was divine and the rice was extra sticky and yummy. Just a great Thai place you should pop into!

The food is consistently amazing. I have come for brunch, lunch, dinner and ordered to go. Everything is delicious! I love the thai tea, lychee martini, and the lychee lemonade. For appetizers I recommend the wings or pumpkin curry puff. I also recommend the coconut curry with chicken and roti. The flavors are next level. With any of the rice meals you can sub for extra veggies for a $2 up charge. The service is great everyone is always so happy. The ambiance is casual and very welcoming. I met new friends while dining for brunch.

Literally the perfect Thai spot right off the Prospect Park Q train. The food here is yummy and the staff is SO kind! You must get a drink - they can make any of them a mocktail and they were super refreshing! The Thai Iced Tea was also the right amount of sweetness. - Pad Woon Sen: A yummy rice noodle dish that has a bit of everything. - Zab Wings: Really tasty coating on the wings! Not spicy at all. - Mango Sticky Rice: Classic Thai dessert AND super affordable here ($8)!! - Tom Kha Soup: Surprisingly really delish and a nice change from Tom Yum. It's a homey coconut milk-based soup! - Roti Massaman: Another classic Thai dish that's perfect for sharing. You can't go wrong. Overall, everything we got was very good and affordable priced. The hospitality is the BEST as well! The owner, Amy, also stopped to chat with us and she was so sweet. I'd definitely come back!

This spot in Prospect Park, Brooklyn had the best service ever! Shoutout to Amy and Taira for bringing the best experience here with amazing drinks and food. Their drink menu blew me away! Not only are the drinks so cheap, but they're all refreshing and beautiful. $5 for Thai Iced Tea is so worth it. I loved the heartwarming Tom Kha soup, crispy crunchy Zab Wings, creamy Roti Massaman curry dip, and delectable Bistro Duck Buns. The Pad Woon Sen came with lots of beef and the noodles were flavorful. The Duck Garlic was nice and crispy with a thick peppery garlicky sauce. It also comes with a side of white rice. 10/10 atmosphere, service, and meal!

Amy Thai Bistro is an authentic Thai restaurant that opened in Brooklyn, New York in August 2019. It was founded by Thai restaurateur Karnchana "Amy" Vongsawat. Relocating to New York City from Thailand in 2001, Vongsawat had originally planned to only stay in the United States for two years. While a student at LaGuardia Community College, she worked as a waitress and met her future business partner Boonnum Tongngeon. Together, the duo opened Am Thai Bistro in Brooklyn's Prospect Park South neighborhood in 2012 to much success. Eventually the partners decided to open their own separate restaurants while still simultaneously operating Am Thai. Vongsawat heard about a vacant restaurant in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. This would be the location for Amy Thai Bistro. The menu features traditional Thai dishes such as Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle. My family and I visited Amy Thai Bistro this past summer while we were spending the day in Brooklyn. We were visiting the Prospect Park Zoo earlier in the day and were looking for a place to have lunch that was within walking distance. Amy Thai Bistro came highly recommended on Yelp. The place was small but cozy and inviting; the staff were very friendly and helpful. We started off first with some delicious fruity cocktails. I ordered a "Piña Colada", my wife had a "Mango Margarita", and her sister had a "Lychee Margarita". For entrees, I had "Thai Chicken Fried Rice" (stir fried rice, egg, onion, Chinese broccoli, scallion & cherry tomato), my wife had "Chicken Drunken Noodle" (stir fried broad noodles, onion, bell pepper, tomato, broccoli long hot chili, basil, egg in chili basil sauce), my sister-in-law had "Chicken Pineapple Curry" (coconut milk, pineapple, cherry tomato, bell pepper & basil), her boyfriend has "Chicken Basil Sauce" (sautéed string bean, onion, long hot chili, bell pepper, fresh basil in chili basil sauce), and my older son had "Chicken Pad Thai" (stir fried rice noodles, beansprout, scallion, crunched peanut & egg in Pad Thai sauce). Everything tasted so delicious, fresh, authentic and flavorful! We had an excellent experience and we highly recommend Amy Thai Bistro to fans of Thai food!

I ordered the lavender lemonade with lychee and the drunken noodles with shrimp. The lemonade was a little sweet but after adding some water and letting the ice melt a little it was perfect. The drunken noodles had the perfect amount of spice. The broccoli and veggies were cooked to perfection and the shrimp was juicy. I easily made a reservation and was greeted and seated quickly. Finding parking is rough but that's not their fault. The place got packed so I'm glad we had our reservation already set. A good vibe with delicious food.

I was intrigued by all of the positive reviews for Amy's and was in the neighborhood so I decided to stop in. I did not regret it! I was seated right away and the staff was courteous and efficient. I started out with Amy's Crab Rangoons, they were so crispy and tasty - fried to perfection with a distinct crunch and creamy and flavorful inside. They were served with a delicious sauce as well that added a sweet punch to the dish! For my main course I got the Pad See Ew with vegetables, which was also delicious. They were overall very generous with their portion sizes so I went home with leftovers, which made the prices feel very fair for the amount of food you get! I will absolutely be going back and bringing some others with me next time.

I used really liked this place. I think it was a Thai sauce, but their pork chops were really dry. Didn't even have any sauce on the side like they said in the reviews the rice was more than sticky.was more like chewy.. the pork chops were some welted lettuce under it. I don't know what that was about. Steamed Cabbage would've been a better choice.

I've had food here plenty of times for takeout and I've dined in once as well. I absolutely love the pineapple fried rice with chicken and spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce. The fried Calamari here is pretty good as well. The mango punch is refreshing and a decent size. I love how I'm always able to receive my order in a timely manner. I never have an issue with my order and the portions are perfect.

Me and my husbands experience eating here was amazing. We had the Thai wings, Tom Kha Soup, Basil Seafood Fried Rice and Pad Thai. Every dish was so flavorful and good. The staff has amazing customer service and are so friendly. Even our drinks were amazing!! Please support this local business! They even gave us complementary drinks, amazed with their customer service. They made our dinner experience amazing!

This is a cute spot near prospect park. I want to start with positives so I'll say the portion size was great for the price of the meal. The service was just ok, we were sat at a poorly lit table so we asked to be sat by the window but was told no in case a party of 4 came in..... that table remained unoccupied the entire duration of our visit. Our server switched between herself and one other person to take care of my table and it seems communication wasn't seamless between the two because there was confusion a few times. The Thai tea was good but the food was just okay, the veggies in the curry were slightly tough and didn't taste steamed or cooked long enough for the dish.

As soon as we arrived, we were escorted to a table. I've noticed that this restaurant seemed very authentic. They had dishes that I've never seen at other Thai spots. Their chefs are also from Central & Northeastern part of Thailand. So, they are cooking from their respective regions. The presentation of their dishes are all aesthetically pleasing. We decided to share a small plate of HOR MOK This tasted almost like a crab puree into a spoon sized portion. There's 7 pieces in one order. It was recommended to eat it all in one bite. It was great. Texture was very smooth in your mouth. Surprisingly, it had a spicy kick (but nothing too intense). I personally decided to try KHAO PAD MUN NEUR. This is a pricey dish, but very filling! It was said to have 2 pepper spice level to it, but I personally didn't find it very spicy. The rib eye was cooked just the way I like it - medium well (still with some redness in the inner portion). The meat had a perfectly charred/grilled exterior, but very soft to chew. This meat was probably the best part of the dish. Only slight complaint is that the rice was very saucy (almost a bit too much for my preference). But overall, I did enjoy it and was able to finish it, but left super full! Overall, I think it was worth a try. Their service is great. The servers are super great of making sure that your water is always topped up. They explained the recommended way to eat certain dishes. They were able to answer any questions that we had.

I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

Newsflash: Ugly Baby is back on its bullshit. Ugly Baby's…read moreconceit, if you can call it that, was that it was really, really spicy. Spicy food, in case you didn't know, connotes authenticity. Call it suffering for beauty, in a culinary wrapper. Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

My first time here and it was a great experience. It is Valentine's Day and we left with a cute little gift from them, beautiful gesture. Definitely coming back :)

Chiangmai Diner is the most unique Thai restaurant I've encountered. My first experience was…read morethrough a Yelp Elite event where we were generously welcomed to a wide variety of items on the menu. I enjoyed the food and the event so much that I've returned and told others to go as well. What I like the most is that Chiangmai's expansive menu showcases aspects of Thai cuisine that you're probably not getting at your neighborhood spot. Many items are Northern Thai style dishes. I'd never had Khao Soi before coming here and I was blown away. The chiangmai sausage is also delicious. The roasted duck curry boasts deep flavor while also maintaining the crispiest duck skin. For appetizers, we started with the crispy salmon belly bites and the moo ping. Frying salmon is risky, but the fattiness of the belly keeps it from drying out. The moo ping is nicely grilled and served with a sweet sauce. You just can't go wrong ordering meat on a stick. As an entree, I tried the Gaeng Awm Nur, a soup-like beef dish served with a side of sticky rice. Our server had been really nice and welcoming, so I felt ok asking how I should eat my meal. She advised that I make a ball of some sticky rice with my hand, mash it a bit, and then dip it into the soup. Thai food achievement unlocked! Now I know what to do next time I'm served sticky rice. There's so much on the menu it can be hard to choose. This is encouragement to go with someone else who enjoys food so you can choose things to share! You won't be disappointed and in fact may find that your regular Thai spots could step up their game in comparison.
