    Pineapple Fried Rice
    Jenny C.

I personally will say this is one of my favorite Thai places of all in Brooklyn. I've ordered from here to stay and to go and honestly it's been unmatched and the flavor here is better than the one down the street so I am a huge fan. If you get their fried rice there's such a rich flavor of basil and all the other seasonings they use and it's super fresh and yummy. Their pad kaprow is one of the best I ever had in my life and I'm sure it's high in calories but wow I couldn't stop eating ! There are no words. The pineapple fried rice was also amazing and their curries are always so good but the pad kaprow was my favorite thing I ever got. I even ordered them for takeout for my birthday and I also tried the papaya salad, green salad with mango dressing and they're both fresh and delicious! The pad see ew also was super flavorful and yummy and you just cannot go wrong with this place. I think their seasoning just tastes so good and really addicting. If you're planning on sitting inside, they do a $9 cash special for their Thai fried rice when you sit inside (I asked and it's strictly enforced only sit in / not take out) the inside is pretty simple and there's only 1 person working there so I would say probably be very patient and they're a small little restaurant so it's really casual. It could get hot inside in the summers because e kitchen seems pretty connected to the main space but this doesn't deter me from eating really tasty Thai food.

Horrible customer service and very dirty. Pick up only-please do not eat inside

This place is very long time. We do a better job and customer service. I bet they had a really good run during Covid, as you can see there's no severe. Also, don't forget to ask. I do not recommend

This spot has become our regular. One part because it's close. Second part it's freaking delicious. I like to try different dishes each time and they all take the cake. Today I had the Chicken Massaman Curry (not pictured, devoured it) for the first time and it a great umami flavor. Sometimes they have a special if you go into the restaurant. Delivery is pretty quick too.

I ordered for takeout and I'll start off by saying, as someone that loves spicy food, I think I've met my match. I got the basil fried rice, requested "extra extra extra spicy" (because the spice level is usually never enough for me). I ended up suffering as I ate it, but it was too good to stop. Ultimately I decided to give it a rest cuz my tongue was on fire, but this taught me a valuable lesson. Besides the spiciness of it, the flavor was there, hence the 5 stars. In the future, I will just get their regular level of spice because I think that would allow me to enjoy it and seems they already make it spicy enough. I also got the spring rolls, which were okay, just standard in my opinion.

    - great service - byob - Chinese takeout vibe, but they have seating - rnb music is cool - loved the fried shrimp - chicken wings could do better - I didn't like the Thai iced tea - chicken pad krapow was great and delicious - crispy duck was good

Fried Calamari Crab Rangoon 5 pcs

I got the fried calamari 0/10, the calamari isn't CRISPY. No crunch at all, very rubbery and chewy. The Crab Rangoon 5 pcs is 10/10, great sauces In the second photo you the chicken pad Thai noodles. It was a little to greasy for my liking, the chicken portion could've been better. I could count how much chicken i have in my plate. I told the worker my complaint about the calamari and he didn't try to fix it, not a refund or even for them to remake it or something else to substitute it. Overall my experience here 6/10

Pad See Ew, Coconut Pudding (3pcs), Chicken Massaman curry(mild spicy ) with mock duck
    Matt L.

Not originally our intended destination since we had seen Amy's Thai Bistro with many people inside but no regrets coming into this hidden gem! The food was amazing Pad see ew was silly and flavorful. The coconut pudding was not too sweet (which is the ultimate compliment from grandparents) and the Massaman Curry with mock duck nearly had me inhaling it with a straw. Plus, as a person who struggles with spice, there were traces of it but not at all hindering for the complex flavors, which easily made this curry memorable. Not pictured were Thai Iced teas not normally in size variations (one size for dine in) but the woman serving and managing the front was kind enough to serve in a bigger glass. Did not disappoint!

    Chicken Tom Kha Soup 16oz

Delicious. Service was quick. Interior isn't anything special but I like the low key vibe. Papaya salad is delicious. Perfectly sized as well. Only 8 dollars. Huge steal Tom kha soup was perfectly seasoned, tasted great. I don't even like coconut like that and I enjoyed it. And it was only 6 dollars!!!!! Overall 5 out of 5, cheap, quick eats. Look forward to coming back

The beef pad see eww was one of the best I've ever had. From the texture of the noodles, to the sauce, to the veggies and beef. It's a must have here! Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

Spicy food, in case you didn't know, connotes authenticity. Call it suffering for beauty, in a culinary wrapper. Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

I enjoyed the food and the event so much that I've returned and told others to go as well. What I like the most is that Chiangmai's expansive menu showcases aspects of Thai cuisine that you're probably not getting at your neighborhood spot. Many items are Northern Thai style dishes. I'd never had Khao Soi before coming here and I was blown away. The chiangmai sausage is also delicious. The roasted duck curry boasts deep flavor while also maintaining the crispiest duck skin. For appetizers, we started with the crispy salmon belly bites and the moo ping. Frying salmon is risky, but the fattiness of the belly keeps it from drying out. The moo ping is nicely grilled and served with a sweet sauce. You just can't go wrong ordering meat on a stick. As an entree, I tried the Gaeng Awm Nur, a soup-like beef dish served with a side of sticky rice. Our server had been really nice and welcoming, so I felt ok asking how I should eat my meal. She advised that I make a ball of some sticky rice with my hand, mash it a bit, and then dip it into the soup. Thai food achievement unlocked! Now I know what to do next time I'm served sticky rice. There's so much on the menu it can be hard to choose. This is encouragement to go with someone else who enjoys food so you can choose things to share!
