The Soft Shell Crab Mango Salad was so good , crispy crab paired with mango. For mains, my favorites were the Pad Thai Ninja (loved the BBQ roasted pork twist!) and the Gaolao Nuer beef soup - spicy, hearty, and full of depth. Very flavorful, def need to eat with rice. Was in Brooklyn for an event and part of our NY trip recently. We were taken to Nourish for dinner and had reservations. When we arrived, our table was ready...there was six of us and we were sat at a large table by the window. It was a bit tight getting in but once we sat we were comfortable and eager to eat! This is one of my granddaughter's favorite places and she was excited to have us eat there. Most of us were familiar with Thai and knew pretty much what we wanted. A couple of our group were not and were scared to try anything so we were successful in getting them order the chicken satay and some white rice. They were happy although one of them did try a few of the other dishes we got. Granddaughter wanted the Chive Pancake, which were so different from what I've had previously and their version of a Green Onion Pancake. Soon after, we were seated inside and ordered the Pad Thai with roasted duck and the Salmon Prig Khing. The food came out fast and was so good. The Pad Thai was DELISH--$25 with eight slices of duck? yes pls. Low spice, high flavor. I'm sure it could've been more spicy if we asked tho. The Salmon was super flavorful too, and the crispy skin was perf. Staff were amazinggg--super helpful with my tree nut and coconut allergies, and luckily, no modifications needed. Another awesome Thai spot in this part of Brooklyn. I was blown away by the flavors in Nourish's massaman curry, and had a delicious plate of chive pancakes to start. Nourish also has a really cool part of the menu called "Secret Grandma Recipes" featuring authentic dishes you might not see at other Thai restaurants. We got a table inside by the kitchen, so it was a little chaotic and I didn't feel comfortable to lean back in my chair so much as I tried to lean back once and immediately bumped into someone else walking by. I ordered through another delivery site, and decided to get a few things from the menu to see if it would be worth it to order from here again in the future. My husband got the beef pad se ew, and he inhaled it; I never even got a bite to taste. He said it was the BEST he's ever had, and couldn't believe the portion and overall taste. This one is a staple. I on the other hand, ordered my usual go-to of shrimp pad kea mao and WOW - the spice is NO joke! I will have to tell them to make it even more mild next time, because their regular unaltered version was deliciously spicy, but I was sweating! Proceed with caution on their spice. I chose the following ( Lunch Specials come with salad or soup and 1 app) House Salad: on menu it states peanut dressing but I was told ginger dressing. The salad is on the chintzy side and most Thai restaurants serve tofu with salad this salad sans tofu. Portion was skimpy but dressing was actually tasty tho I prefer peanut dressing. Unsure about menu mix up. Thai Steamed Dumplings: Ground chicken and shrimp with mushrooms and water chestnuts served with soy sauce. Very good. Pad Se-Ew with Chicken: generous portion and delicious except the Chinese broccoli had no taste. Thai iced tea was sweet, delicious and served in mason jar. Service was extremely friendly and pleasant. So why 4 stars? Stick to the menu.. not to pick, but I love peanut dressing and unsure as to why not served as menu states. Additionally, surely they could have substituted. For a Prix Fixe lunch special $17 is on the pricey side as compared to the other Thai places I've eaten at that start at $11.
