The special beef pho was so delicious as well as the summer rolls. My wife enjoyed her grilled pork vermicelli. The ginger tea was nice and toasty. It was just what I needed in this rainy weather. My wife enjoyed her salted lemonade soda. It's just a bit chilly so I recommend keeping your coat on and when using the WC.

This is so delicious. One of my favorite spots close to my house. I recommend everyone go and try it out . The flavors are on point. And the hospitality is above 10!

Food: The pho and spring rolls were delicious. The flavors were authentic and the portions were generous. Cost: The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Environment: The restaurant was cozy and had a laid-back atmosphere. However, the limited seating might result in wait times. Service: The service was friendly and they were quick to take our order. Outside of the quick service, the food itself did take a little time to come out. Once the food did come out, it was delicious and it was worth the wait! Uniqueness: While the pho was excellent, the overall experience wasn't particularly unique. It's a great spot for a classic bowl of pho. If you're around the area, would highly recommend trying this place out (might be difficult with large parties).

Came for dinner on a Tuesday night before a show at Baby's and there was no wait for the 2 of us at 6 pm. Pho bo (beef) and shrimp summer rolls were both really good. Would recommend for a great casual spot in the area!

cute cozy vietnamese restaurant ! a bit on the pricier side for pho i thought, but flavors were good and soup was warm and comforting. the bun cha was excellent -- the pork belly in it was especially juicy and flavorful.

Came here on a whim with my love and while I wasn't expecting much, I was blown away. We ordered Bun Cha, Mi Quang and a Cafe Sua Da. Cafe Sua Da is EXACTLY like being transported back to Vietnam, thick like chocolate with the sweetness that is the condensed milk Bun Cha, would it be sacrilegious that it's almost better than Vietnam?! No way, but the flavors coming from the meat patties.... I'm still thinking of this dish. Mi Quang, another flavor I've been missing from Vietnam, exactly how this dish should taste, like comfort food from my loves homeland. Also, the staff.... fantastic service! Love the decor. Ambiance is cute and cozy. I love the decor, I'm such a sucker for aesthetic Highly recommend, will definitely return.

This place is small and rustic. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food was good! Summer rolls (shrimp) - 4 out of 5 Beef pho - 4 out of 5 (lacked that deep flavor in the broth) Overall, this place is somewhere I would try again. I really want to try their banh mi!

Cute, cozy, and casual vietnamese restaurant. Their banh mis were tasty and fairly big for their price. Our food came quick and service was amazing- my server even drew a cute picture on the leftovers bag. I'll definitely come back to try the pho!

WOW best drink I've ever had! It was a super hot day and I was parched. I was walking by High Lua and decided to stop in for a quick drink to-go. I order the salted lemonade (Chanh muoi), which was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! It's made in house with preserved lemons - it's a perfect blend of sweet and salty!!! Soooooooooo good!!!!! Tastes similar to "fresh lime soda" in India.

A decent place to get Vietnamese food in the area - wouldn't say it's the best I've had but it's good enough for the neighborhood and if you just want something warm in cold weather. Grilled sausage roll could've used more meat, herbs were 3/4 of the whole roll. Pho was decent, broth wasn't too flavorful. Husband ordered the bun bo hue which seemed more complex with the shrimp paste.

After being in the neighborhood for more than 3 years, I finally made it to this well-regarded neighborhood Vietnamese eatery. I opted for the Đậu hũ nướng, a vegetarian's answer to BBQ with grilled tofu taking the center stage. They offer it with bún, but I opted instead to have the tofu with rice - it made for a satisfying but not overly heavy weeknight meal with all the generous vegetables garnishes.

    pho dac biet
    Brian S.

hip vietnamese fare with all the standard offerings at a bit higher pricepoint than im used to. i got the pho dac biet which was surprisingly large. i particularly enjoyed the broth and garlic on the side but unfortunately the beef rib meat was super tough and very difficult to eat off the bone.

    Chicken Pho

The pho is very tasty and consistently good. I really really wish they played different music in here though, it would quickly and easily change the vibe so drastically. They have like the worst taste in music for some reason. But yeah the food is good.

The aunties are mentioned often in other reviews, and that's because they're amazing. They'll gladly explain what you need, especially when it comes to the super tasty (and extremely inexpensive) deserts that populate racks and the drink fridges here. Some are sweet, some are sour (the deserts, that is), they'll let you know. Honesty since a cake here is $5, you can afford to try everything! How on to the main reason that you came, the Banh Mi. You literally can't go wrong with any of the eight main sandwiches here. I've tried them all so you don't have to, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. The bread is crispy, the ingredients are super fresh, and the tastes combine perfectly. The decor is perfect for this kind of spot. No frills. There are three tables and a bunch of chairs. It's exactly what I want in a takeout type place. They concentrate on the food. So, to wrap this one up. Go. I'd say that I'll be back, but I've been coming here for years. If you haven't, it's time to start.

The restrooms are conveniently located in the middle of the space. The staff were all efficient and constantly on the move. We had reservations for 2pm, and the restaurant was already packed when we arrived. We only had to wait a few minutes while our table was being cleared. The staff apologized. For drinks, we kept it non-alcoholic and ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and a lychee fizz. To eat, we shared the papaya salad, rice cake omelette, grilled pork bun bowl, and the wok seared beef pho. Everything we tried was so flavorful and well prepared. One thing to note is that if you're planning to visit on a weekend their banh mi is only available from Friday to Sunday until 6pm. However, we go there on Sunday and ordered around 2:30ish and it was already sold out. So I suggest dining in earlier.

All four dishes were delicious, and I would highly recommend the spring rolls and beef pho. The beef pho broth had deep flavor, and the noodles had a great, chewy texture and were different from the typical pho noodles in Vietnamese restaurants. The pho is also served with their homemade sriracha and hoisin sauce. The beef slices in the pho were a bit dry and overcooked, but I would still recommend you try the pho here; it was delicious. The spring rolls were big and packed with filling. We really enjoyed them! The fish lettuce wrap platter and pork skewer platter were exactly the same with the exception of the protein. The platters come with rice paper wrappers that you dip into water for 30 seconds, lettuce, mint, basil, cilantro, pickled radish and carrot, and cucumbers. The platters were good but also seems like something you can easily make yourself at home. The fish was a bit dry and overcooked, but the pork skewers were well made. Although I really enjoyed the food here, it wasn't special enough for me to want to return to dine here. Service: Service was excellent, and staff were friendly. At 5pm, we were the first party of 2 to arrive, and soon after, three other parties came after us. I'm not sure why the hostess chose to seat all four parties in one small corner of the restaurant while the rest of the restaurant was completely empty. Tables were placed very closely together, and seating was a bit tight. It seemed odd to seat everyone in one corner even when the restaurant was clearly not filling up. Ambiance: The ambiance and decor is lovely here. Seating is very comfortable, and the place is beautiful. It's well-lit and has a nice outdoor garden feel with plenty of sunlight. The restaurant is pretty big with tables for both small and large groups. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant!

Overall, the a la carte menu is pretty small, so definitely check it out before you commit to eating here. Pineapple pork fried rice - Aside from the hollowed out pineapple that it came in, the presentation was a little weak (mostly rice, and very small pieces of toppings). The rice lacked color, which ultimately, did make the dish lean on the bland side. I did not think it had enough wok hei (flavor and aroma that comes from being cooked on a wok). We did like that the pork was lap Cheong (Chinese sausage) 3/5 Heritage 5 spice ribs - This was the only winner.
