spring roll and grilled pork with rice vermicelli
    Ruby L.

I went to Pho Vietnam for dinner. The place was really well lit and clean, and there were plenty of tables when we arrived. I got the spring roll and grilled pork with rice vermicelli, a nice cold dish for a hot day. We also got the grilled beef banh mi, which I wasn't really a fan of. The bread was very crispy, but not in a good way, more like old bread that had been toasted to cover it up. We also tried the coconut cream coffee, which was coffee slush with coconut cream on top, and that was good. I felt like the service wasn't great. When we came in, I had to get the attention of the lady in the front just to be seated, and that took a while. It was the same when we wanted to order and later when we needed the bill.

Food is descent but not the best. For two dishes I paid about $33. I ordered the bun bo hue and it was standard. They had the pork feet and Vietnamese ham in it and portions was medium size. Broth is not strong enough and needed more noodles. It was okay. The beef cube fried rice was good. Beef well seasoned. Service was okay. Not the best but was just okay. Price is steep compared to what you get.

This restaurant was my go to place for some authentic Vietnamese food but lately their pho had been disappointing. The beef is rubbery and the soup has an unusual smell. Like a wet dog. But this time i opted for their vermicelli dishes with rolls and it's quite filling. Their Spring rolls are always on point. The service is quick and the two ladies in the front are friendly enough.

Food: 4/5 The food here is solid. Good flavors and portion sizing. Our food made it's way to the table in a timely fashion and was nice and hot. The menu is pretty solid so there's something for everyone. Service: 3.5/5 Service was pretty decent. Kind of no thrills. Give you order, get your food, get your check. It was as expected for a chill, informal casual dining experience. Ambiance: 3.5/5 Very laid back. It's a family fun, neighborhood spot so decor and fancy utensils are not a ploy they use to draw in a crowd. It's a relaxed space where you and friends can enjoy some solid food and a good price.

Food: This restaurant has delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. The bread of their banh mi is always fresh and crispy. Both the original and grilled pork chop banh mis are delicious. Sandwiches are made to order. Grilled pork chop over rice or vermicelli noodles, Vietnamese spring rolls, beef cubes over rice, and pho are some of their top dishes! Service: Service is good. Staff are helpful and friendly! Ambiance: This restaurant is good for small and large groups. They have round tables for bigger groups. Restaurant is spacious and seating is comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this place. They have been in business for years and the food is consistently good.

Yum! Beef cubes with fried rice. (I get mine sometimes with no onions and no peas and carrots in the rice).

Edit: my review didn't come up so it looked like j hadn't reviewed it before , but I did! Well, updates are always good and just in time for Women's Month too! :) This has been my go to spot for Viet food for such a long time now. I used to frequent another place, but made the switch one day, not sure why, and haven't looked back since! The meals I get are always consistently good. The need cubes with fried rice (no carrots and peas for me) is always so good! Love that sauce! And the pho just hits the spot nice on a cold day. The soup feels like a cozy home and warms me when I'm feeling under the weather. I also enjoy the pork summer rolls, spring rolls and the vermicelli with pork and spring rolls. Gotta have the peanut sauce and fish sauce, respectively. The food is always prompt and ready and the ladies are very nice. They are also available on delivery apps such as GrubHub and Doordash. Probably getting some dinner here this week :)

Great takeout experience via UberEats. Ordered a banh mi, bo luc lac, and bun with grilled pork and spring rolls. This is pretty much my go-to order at any Vietnamese spot, especially for a lazy Sunday takeout dinner. The order came within the quoted delivery window and still fresh and warm. The spring rolls were crunchy, the banh mi baguette still cut up the roof of my mouth, and the shaking beef wasn't tough and rubbery from steaming in the takeout container. Can't wait to dine-in next time.

What we ordered - was just OK

Overall very standard Viet spot... not great, not the worse. I know, I know... we just don't have any amazing, let alone spectacular, Vietnamese food in NYC. We did delivery - packaging was fine. As long as there's no spillage! We ordered beef cubes over rice (pricey), and grilled pork chop and large spring rolls. Spring rolls are decent, fillings were a bit skimpy... pork chop was good, beef cubes were a bit too chewy... standard eats. Nothing mind blowing but will do when you have limited option.

My go-to Viet spot in South Brooklyn!! It's an authentic, comforting neighborhood spot run by the sweetest twins. The food here ALWAYS hits and the service is quick. Their Spring Rolls have a nice crisp and their Pho is great, however my FAVORITE dish is their Beef Cubes over Rice - chef's kiss!! Other honorable mentions are the Banh Xeo, which is basically a crispy Viet Pancake with shrimp and bean sprouts filling, and Crispy Calamari, YUM!! One downside is that the prices have gone up over the years, but TRUST that you can always find me here when I'm craving Pho in the neighborhood!!

I went for dine in and everything is priced up $1-$2. They have signs mentioning that, but the old menu prices looked so deceiving. An avocado shake is $6.50 in actuality but the menu showed $4.50. Two pho bowls and one ban cuon appetizers was totaled $48. And they had a credit card fee. But we paid cash so that saved us some bucks! Pho beef slices and beef tripe was good, the broth got cooked in meat and got grainy. Flavors were disrupted but enhanced. Pork chop pho had a more clean taste, and the pork chop was nicely seasoned but sweet. Avocado shake was the best I've had, fine, it was worth the $6.50. Ban cuon was just ok not my fav.

Extra big bowl combination (Xe Lua) amazing!

I have never dined inside of Pho Vietnam but have been in for take away and have had it delivered to the home. Every time has been amazing. Never a disappointing dish has come my way. The sandwiches, the pho, the vermicelli dishes, spring rolls and other meat dishes are all delicious. Must haves all across their menu. One day I will dine inside the restaurant to take in the full experience. Had the extra big bowl combination (xe lua) for dinner yesterday. First time ever having pho and it was life changing! Cannot wait to have that in the restaurant. My go to is the grilled pork with spring rolls and rice vermicelli. A home run everytime I have gotten this dish. I highly recommend Pho Vietnam to anyone who is a fan of this style cuisine.

I love Pho Vietnam's banh mi and it's one of the best I've had! I also love their grilled chicken rice. I usually order Uber eats for pho Vietnam but decided to dine in the other day since pho is always better when it's fresh! The pho is good but I thought that the serving wasn't really that big considering I ordered an extra big bowl and I've had bigger portions at other Vietnamese restaurants. There also wasn't that much meat and was mainly noodles and broth. However, for the price I can't complain! If you're craving pho, this place will help relieve that craving. The staff was kind and accommodating as well! We got our food pretty quickly after ordering and that was quite impressive. All in all, really great authentic Vietnamese food, and I'd come back to try other dishes as well!

The restrooms are conveniently located in the middle of the space. The staff were all efficient and constantly on the move. We had reservations for 2pm, and the restaurant was already packed when we arrived. We only had to wait a few minutes while our table was being cleared. The staff apologized. For drinks, we kept it non-alcoholic and ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and a lychee fizz. To eat, we shared the papaya salad, rice cake omelette, grilled pork bun bowl, and the wok seared beef pho. Everything we tried was so flavorful and well prepared. One thing to note is that if you're planning to visit on a weekend their banh mi is only available from Friday to Sunday until 6pm. All four dishes were delicious, and I would highly recommend the spring rolls and beef pho. The beef pho broth had deep flavor, and the noodles had a great, chewy texture and were different from the typical pho noodles in Vietnamese restaurants. The pho is also served with their homemade sriracha and hoisin sauce. The beef slices in the pho were a bit dry and overcooked, but I would still recommend you try the pho here; it was delicious. The spring rolls were big and packed with filling. We really enjoyed them! The fish lettuce wrap platter and pork skewer platter were exactly the same with the exception of the protein. The platters come with rice paper wrappers that you dip into water for 30 seconds, lettuce, mint, basil, cilantro, pickled radish and carrot, and cucumbers. The platters were good but also seems like something you can easily make yourself at home. The fish was a bit dry and overcooked, but the pork skewers were well made. Although I really enjoyed the food here, it wasn't special enough for me to want to return to dine here. Service: Service was excellent, and staff were friendly. At 5pm, we were the first party of 2 to arrive, and soon after, three other parties came after us. I'm not sure why the hostess chose to seat all four parties in one small corner of the restaurant while the rest of the restaurant was completely empty. Tables were placed very closely together, and seating was a bit tight. It seemed odd to seat everyone in one corner even when the restaurant was clearly not filling up. Ambiance: The ambiance and decor is lovely here. Seating is very comfortable, and the place is beautiful. It's well-lit and has a nice outdoor garden feel with plenty of sunlight. The restaurant is pretty big with tables for both small and large groups. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant!
