I went to Pho Vietnam for dinner. The place was really well lit and clean, and there were plenty of tables when we arrived. I got the spring roll and grilled pork with rice vermicelli, a nice cold dish for a hot day. We also got the grilled beef banh mi, which I wasn't really a fan of. The bread was very crispy, but not in a good way, more like old bread that had been toasted to cover it up. We also tried the coconut cream coffee, which was coffee slush with coconut cream on top, and that was good. I felt like the service wasn't great. When we came in, I had to get the attention of the lady in the front just to be seated, and that took a while. It was the same when we wanted to order and later when we needed the bill. read more

Just delicious stable Vietnamese food around this area. Nothing special about the atmosphere as it's similar to most Vietnamese restaurants but I love their services. I came by recently with an hangry pregnant friend and I've called them to see if they had an available table as we were nearby and wanted to see if they can prep our food prior to our arrival so we could have our order close/by the time we get there. They were able to accommodate and they were very considerate, they saw that we had our baby with us and they brought our bowls for babies and food scissors. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in brooklyn. I have tried quite a few considering it is one of my favorite cusine. My favorite dishes here are the spring roll rice vermicelli, the beef cube fried rice, the spring rolls, the avocado milk shake and of course their pho. Well, updates are always good and just in time for Women's Month too! :) This has been my go to spot for Viet food for such a long time now. I used to frequent another place, but made the switch one day, not sure why, and haven't looked back since! The meals I get are always consistently good. The need cubes with fried rice (no carrots and peas for me) is always so good! Love that sauce! And the pho just hits the spot nice on a cold day. The soup feels like a cozy home and warms me when I'm feeling under the weather. I also enjoy the pork summer rolls, spring rolls and the vermicelli with pork and spring rolls. Cannot believe how bad this place is now. Had the pho chicken soup, in a small bowl with barely any chicken and rice noddles. Had the grilled chicken, small portion with yellowish dry fried rice. Great takeout experience via UberEats. Ordered a banh mi, bo luc lac, and bun with grilled pork and spring rolls. Two pho bowls and one ban cuon appetizers was totaled $48. And they had a credit card fee. But we paid cash so that saved us some bucks! I love Pho Vietnam's banh mi and it's one of the best I've had! I also love their grilled chicken rice. I usually order Uber eats for pho Vietnam but decided to dine in the other day since pho is always better when it's fresh! The pho is good but I thought that the serving wasn't really that big considering I ordered an extra big bowl and I've had bigger portions at other Vietnamese restaurants. There also wasn't that much meat and was mainly noodles and broth. However, for the price I can't complain! If you're craving pho, this place will help relieve that craving. I have never dined inside of Pho Vietnam but have been in for take away and have had it delivered to the home. Every time has been amazing. Never a disappointing dish has come my way. Our go-to-orders at Pho Vietnam has always been either their Combination Extra Big Bowl Pho, Beef Cubes with white rice, Spring Rolls with rice Vermicelli, or Grilled Pork w/ sausage and fried egg over rice. Serving size is a good portion and although prices have gone slightly up, I think it's worth it for the portion you get. The one thing I didn't enjoy too much were the shrimp summer rolls I ordered. There was very little shrimp inside the summer rolls and it also wasn't very flavorful. They do provide a side of peanut sauce with the summer roll, but overall not the best summer rolls I've had. We usually order uber eats and the food always comes well packaged. When ordering pho, they package the broth separately from the noodles and meat to prevent them from getting overcooked which I appreciate. The broth also always arrives still hot! My go to Vietnamese place in this area! Their beef pho (#1) is really clean, just a tiny bit sweet, and very beefy at $10 for a super generous portion. They aren't stingy with the meat or the noodles (most noodles ofc). Pho Vietnam is the place where we're more adventurous (as opposed to always ordering a number one, spring rolls, and a grilled pork vermicelli) as we've tried other soup noodles as well and thoroughly enjoyed. Bo Kho Pho ($9.50): beef stew noodle soup. Very rich and flavorful broth, a nice change to the clear version. It tastes like Taiwanese beef noodles soup, but richer and more depth to the flavors Bun Bo Hue ($10): these noodles are really good! Definitely a nice change to the other noodles. The broth is a little spicy, sweet, almost tomato-y, but the meat floating in this soup is so delicious. Might have to get this over #1 from now on! But my favorite is their vermicelli. It's soo flavorful, and Grilled Pork Hash ($9) is one of my favorite things ever, and I can't remember if Pho Hoai even has it. Hands down the juiciest pieces of meat I've had at a Viet place! Ordered twice for delivery & every item was carefully packaged to minimize spills! The broth arrived hot, even though I'm about 20 minutes away. I made a note for the beef to be cooked for the pho orders, and it came as requested! Pho Vietnam really doesn't skimp on portions, even for delivery. They somehow manage to really pack an extra large bowl's worth of noodles and meat into the delivery containers. This review is the result of a Vietnamese food craving that I get once in a while. This is what happens when you used to live in a high concentration of Vietnamese people. You adapt to the situation at hand. I got myself a Bun Cha (Vermicelli rice noodles and pork with a dipping sauce and daikon and carrots), and a Pho Tac Biet + Bo Vien (Combination Pho with Meatballs). The two items totaled $30, but I was pleased with both. The Bun Cha here comes with Angel Hair noodles, which work well as they taste like you are eating a soft pillow of goodness. The pickled daikon and carrots along with the sauce work well too. The pork is a tad dry, and a bit minimal, so I likely will not get this again. The Pho was tasty though. Ample noodle and meat and less mess. The noodles tasted quite fresh! As in they make them in house and not buy them from H-Mart. The broth was good too. I also liked the dipping sauces for the meat. When it comes to Pho, I do it rather simple. I am not one for all the garnishing on it, but I will not turn away fresh sprouts and basil, which you get here. You also get complimentary hot tea, which is awesome on a real cold day. It is also a short walk from the Ave U station on the Q train, providing easy access to the subway. I also appreciated the judgement-free zone. Too many times when I lived in Virginia I would be judged for how I ate my Pho or Bun Cha. I would recommend getting the rice cube if you ever do stop by. The beef is so tender and full of flavor. My only complaint would be the lettuce wrapping for our spring rolls as the edges were turning brown, it looked like old lettuce that was going bad.
