Although there is another Thai food cafe down the street on Stuyvesant Pl, in my opinion, this is the better Thai option. The prices have increased a bit since we moved here, partly due to inflation. A regular noodle dish like Pad Thai, or Pad Sew Ew is now $18 instead of $12/$15 than a couple of years ago. The Mango salad is now $12 instead of $7/$10. Lucky for you all, they do lunch specials so definitely take advantage of their lunch specials if you get a chance. What's more, the food is pretty good! It's a rich beef stew with a strong tomato base. Super beefy and super tomatoey, kind of like the tomato broth at hotpot if you know what I mean. Since the flavor is bold, a lot of places end up making it too salty but this one gets it just right. The meat is brisket with tendons running through it, which gives it great texture and that melt in your mouth feel if you're into that. They're also generous with the amount of meat they give. The staff are really friendly. The same waitress has been there for years and usually recognizes regulars.
