Picked up from here a few times, their Banh Mi and some other dishes. We came in and sat down for the first time and it was amazing to have the food fresh. Chicken over rice and pork over rice.
Overall the food is amazing and staff is great. The pricing is reasonable than other places. Highly recommended
It's more than just a roadside Vietnamese restaurant. It's a studied trip into authenticity and kindness. From the moment I entered this theatrically designed space right down to the gigantic artificial babo (?) trees providing a canopy over the handsome dining space. The menu is very traditional in approach. Much food that is authentic and just different than the typical viet place. Soup is a must it seems. I ordered pretty basically. Some sizzling hot pork stuffed spring rolls, crispy and intensely seasoned they call for chili sauce to temper the kindness that oozes out of each bite. I'm surrounded by well fed (read slender, Viet people) who are busy slurping their soup and noodles. Menus are electronic with clearly marked photos and excellent prices. I ordered a Chinese beer. A crisp lager that will be perfect with this cuisine. I have pork with rice noodles and a lush bowl of chicken soup redolent of spice and memory. I cannot give ten stars. I wish. This restaurant is that important. I truly wish that I lived closer.
One of my favorite Vietnames restaurants on the island! I love their Hainese chicken- comes with big portions and super tasty. Their thai iced tea is also really good. We ordered for take out but would definitely want to dine in one day.
First, they made my mango smoothie drink wrong (too sour and bitter). They remade and it tasted great! Second, they dropped a fork into my cup while cleaning the table and didnt even change my cup. I waited to see if the waiter would come back to replace it but he didn't. I had to ask them to change it.. Third, they completely forgot about my order.....I didnt get my food until everyone already finished eating... Fourth, this is a smaller issue but my soup was not hot enough to fully cook the raw meat served with my pho. (The meat is served raw but usually I am able to use the soup to cook it thoroughly until it is no longer pink) I still gave a 3 stars because even though everything that could have went wrong, went wrong for me, everyone else had a good experience!
Pho 60 is one of the few and best authentic Vietnamese restaurants within Staten Island. The servers are really attentive. The interior is very esthetic and makes you feel like you're inside a forest due to the unique wall decorations and large tree that's smack in the middle of the restaurant. We came in a party of 4 and everything was delicious. We got: 1) Brisket Noodle soup - broth was good, Noodle was smooth, brisket was delicious 2) Grilled pork chop over rice - tasted very authentic. You will not regret trying this. I think the pork chop tasted better than the grilled chicken. 3) Grilled chicken over rice vermicelli with spring roll as add-on - the chicken was also delicious. you could probably skip on the spring roll. 4) Grilled pork chop, crab patty, shredded pork skin over rice - you could probably skip on adding the crab patty and shredded pork skin. It wasn't worth it. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you're feeling for authentic Vietnamese food. Food is delicious and reasonably priced.
The service is very friendly and quick, where the ambiance is very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, which you can see in the video. The pork belly with egg was very tender and flavorful, with a delicate balance between its savoriness and sweetness without it being overpowering. The spring roll had a nice crunch and had flavorful bits of taro(?) which added a nice texture contrast. The hainanese chicken was very soft and smooth, pairing perfectly with its condiments. I definitely recommend the dark meat over the white meat, for I found the dark meat to be way juicier and flavorful than the white meat. Overall, Pho 60 has a nice variety of beverages and entrees, with unique selections like bone marrow and king crab! It was definitely a pleasant experience and we will come back one day soon to try their vast menu! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:
We went in around 2pm on Saturday, which is not the peak time for lunch anymore. The restaurant is not very busy but customers keep coming and going. It seems busy enough. It's right in the strip mall so there's plenty of parking spots. The space is pretty spacious. The decor is decent and everything looks clean. staff is friendly. Food is pretty good. Spring roll: very crunchy. 6/10 Pork chop- very yummy. Good flavor. 9/10 Pho 60-soup flavor is good. The bean spout and basil is not given much but you can ask for more. 7/10. If the soup is hotter, I'll give a higher score. It's not hot enough to me. Bun Bo hue-5/10. Too salty to me. We ordered mild but it's still pretty spicy. Make sure you order plain if you don't like spicy food. The after-taste is too strong and lingers for a long time. I like the flavor but not the long lasting lingering after-taste in my mouth. I'll go back for the pork chop and pho 60.
This was our most anticipated opening of the year ! We loved their original shop back in Brooklyn and when we saw the sign of the newly opened pho place we had to make sure it was them! Their pho broth is not too heavy and not too bland, it's perfect on a cold winters or rainy day. We went during one of their soft openings , the first week of opening. The service itself was fast and the server and manager was extremely nice and kind. Despite that, the wait was a bit long. We understood the reason behind it as operations were still new and underway. But the food there always hits the spot ! We highly recommend the pho dac biet which is your large pho bowl with all the meats the restaurant has available. Our next favorite is the Vietnamese pancake , crispy and filled with bean sprouts and shrimp. The batter is always crispy and comes out pipping hot. But do beware, ordering the pancake will take much longer than your other dishes. The pancake itself takes long to cook as it ensures the exterior is extra crunchy and stays crispy ! Vietnamese coffee wasn't the best I've had. The coffee was strong yes, but it lacked that infamous condensed milk flavor which I usually crave and look for. But bedsides that, pho 60 is a must try place !
It was my first time trying Pho. My mother in law invited me to Pho 60 and it was conveniently located in a shopping plaza with ample parking: upon arrival the place is beautifully decorated with a full bar. I was unsure what to order and asked the waiter for assistance. He briefly described the plates but didn't really make any suggestions on what to try for the first time. I ended up getting the beef pho and my mother in law got the short rib pho. It was a nice experience and I would love to try their other dishes and appetizers!
Friendly staff, big space and clean bathroom. Has a sink outside just for washing! Dryer and paper towels. We ordered banh khot, pho, and avocado smoothie. As well as rainbow ice, which I don't recommend bc idk why its gloopy and not very good. Love the pho broth, light and flavorful. Pork chop is quite sweet, and the banh khot is tasty we love the fish sauce. Avocado smoothie is very creamy but not avocado enough.
I love this place. I used to go to Pho Mac here on Staten Island and it was really good but it was far for me. This place Pho 60 is literally next to my house walking distance. Me and my family always come here to the point they know us now. In terms of the service. Excellent excellent excellent. They have been nothing but kind and helpful. Some of the workers have a hard time understanding English but that's just normal in places like these but they were really doing their best to understand and help me which they did. Of course there's people that spoke English here as well. The ambiance, I love it. I love the fact that they're playing modern music, music that I personally listen to on a daily LOL. (Got me singing and eating my pho and doing my little dance dance, thanks pho 60). And last but not least the food. I love it as well! In terms of the pho, the meat is tender, the noodles don't stick to each-other and when you pick it up with your chop sticks it's just nice and the soup is so flavorful! Other than the fact that this place is walking distance, I HIGHLY recommend people of Staten Island to try this place out!!!!
Beautiful decorated restuarant, service was good, food was average but the drinks were good. Definately viet coffee. The tea set was very cute.

The pho was very flavorful ... there was like more "umph" & in a direction that was not down, it was up--I suspect that that "umph" was maybe a hint of even more "authentic-ness". And, on top of all the flavor, you could tell it was salty--a lot less of a sweet pho--and it was amazing! More salt= ("Thumbs up baby") ...that's a Project Hail Mary reference... basically it had more salt and it was amazing! The noodles were the thinner kind but really good, not too clumpy but still had enough stick so that you could chop-stick a good bite down the hatch. Beef... amazing! Meat balls, stellar as always (though I wish there was more in it) and the tripe was good like tripe should be. Beautifully done. I haven't had pho in a while but I know good pho and I know bad pho and this really good pho with its own signature, unique flavor! The venue wasn't tiny but it definitely was limited. My brother and I went on a Friday night at the end of May and there were about 4 or 5 parties ahead of us waiting. We had maybe a 30 or 35 minute wait ...definitely worth it though. I wonder what the business is on a weekday evening in a different, more colder month...? Friendly staff. I'm not sure if this is standard cultural practice or not but my brother and I noticed someone from a family at one table pour what looked like a dark-reddish drink from their wine glass into one of the sauce bottles that belonged to the restaurant and placed it back in the center of the table... perhaps my eyes deceived me but I know they poured their drink back into the sauce bottle that I'm pretty sure they placed back at the center of the table... maybe they didn't end up leaving it at the table and it was a family brought sauce thing but I'm almost certain it belonged to the restaurant. (Maybe also it was completely empty and that's why they poured their drink down it... I have no idea why or what but it was weird. ...if you as the customer are at all concerned about stranger's backwash in your table sauce I would recommend avoiding the table sauces altogether... The decorations inside were homy. I'd give this restaurant an 8&1/2 or 9 out of ten. read more

Came to Pho 60 while visiting the area and so glad we stumbled upon this little gem. The aesthetic is beautiful! Clean, calming, and honestly feels like you're nowhere near the city. We ordered the papaya salad and shrimp vermicelli, and both were out of this world. The rest of our group had the beef vermicelli, beef ball pho, and mango chicken. Everyone loved their meals. Highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back! read more

So happy this place finally opened! The pho was delicious and the meat was very tender. I didn't love the pork spring rolls and wish they brought them out before serving the pho. Tried the pork belly and egg over rice and It was sooo goood! My mom said it's her new favorite dish! Also tried the Vietnamese pancake and you really taste the coconut milk in the batter. Like I've eaten a lot of banh xeo, but I've never tasted the coconut this much... not a bad thing because I like coconut but might surprise people. It's also huge!! Filled with onions, bean sprouts and shrimp. read more

The restaurant is clean and nice decor. I ordered Grill Sliced Pork on rice. The dish looks delicious but the pork was very salty and thought the fish sauce will balance the flavors. This was not expected as the fish sauce was also salty ...omg! My friend ordered beef cubes with fried rice and the beef was over cooked but the mango chicken wings was delicious. That's a plus! The only drawback was that too many peanuts on the wings and the waiter didn't even mention it has peanuts. I didn't want to say anything as I didn't read it through what's description on the menu. They are a bit of pricy too. read more

The place in the same complex as Hook and Reel, Chipotle and that Retro Fitness. They still are in their soft opening phase but the amount of people coming in, you'd think they were there for awhile. TLDR: remember when Pho Mac just opened and it was the place to go to? Well this brought back that feeling so if you're a fan of viet - check it out For pictures we got the Bone Marrow ($9), Calamari ($13), soft shell crab bahn mi ($15), regular Bahn mi ($9) and a pork belly rice dish ($12). We also ordered 2 other noodles that I didn't bother taking pictures of with an average price is $13 each and spring rolls ($13 for 8). All the broths for the noodles were clean tasting and the sauce that came with the pork belly dish was full of flavor. We did like the Calamari - more like squid pieces really - but for the price, they could have offered more. Think of the last time you ordered calamari and reduce that number by a 1/3 or half depending on how large of an order you got and that's how little the dish was. Tasted good but not worth $13 Bone Marrow was a one and done for us, not because it was bad but there wasn't much marrow albeit very delicious and seasoned well. Of course every marrow may be different so if you're going to splurge every now and then, I'd say order this! The bahn mi breads are very fresh and as I'm writing this, the top of my mouth is all cut up from the bread lol The soft shell crab bahn mi is a great "treat yourself" type of sandwich but it's about half the size of a regular bahn mi and about 1.5x the price of a regular bahn mi. The regular bahn mi, as shown in the photo actually has a decent slab of ham on there. I did enjoy it and I'm still partial to "Ba Xuyen" in Brooklyn as my favorite spot always but with the toll and gas combined, Pho 60 would hit the spot better than all the Staten Island places that serve bahn mi by a large margin. Since I am within driving distance of both Bahn mi House and Pho 60 equally, i'd rather order from Pho 60. Don't bother with Bahnmigos if they're still open, for bahn mi. If ordering from Pho Mac lately has felt like it's missing something and Pho Rainbow was always just ok in general to you, then I'd give this place a shot and come to your own conclusion but we are a fan. read more

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant Pho60 opened one in Staten Island! I was super excited to hear this news! Their food is delicious and authentic. Great service and beautiful atmosphere! Heard that pho 60 was open and always wanted to try. We finally found it was open so decided to try it out. The place was kind of big with a lobster tank, VIP room and LED light that changed different colors. The staff was friendly and the service was good. We order different types of foods. I had the pho 60 special noodle soup, hainanese chicken with noodle, chicken sandwich, vietnamese Cheng fon and vietnamese spring rolls. The food came pretty fast. The spring roll is small but very tasty. The Cheng fon was good. The special noodle soup was very tasty. I would definitely come back here again and try other foods. The only thing I don't like is the LED light that changes color. It's sort of a distraction or keeps changing color but beside that everything is good. read more
Really cute place, and they utilized a lot of the space for new things that Staten Island didn't have! Karaoke and rooms for more intimate dining for parties. *grilled chicken pho: the broth was a little bland for me but the chicken was amazing. Very tender and delicious. Wasn't burnt like the other pho place nearby on Staten Island *spring roll: I believe we got the larger size but it didn't seem to come with a lot, but overall still good * Vietnamese coffee was on point and it was definitely the real thing *my tips: be sure to bring cash because that is the only form of payment they're accepting as of right now would I go again? Yes! My new go to place for pho on Staten Island read more
