Lemongrass pork chop over rice
Kevin E.

Solid restaurant for Viet food on 86th street. I've always wanted to give them a try ever since they first opened up on 18th ave and was pleasantly surprised when they opened a second location even closer to home! Not too many people eating inside ~11am on a weekday but tons of take-out orders. Service was friendly and considerate but wish they could be more attentive in terms of clearing empty plates from the table. Spring rolls- Came out piping hot and crispy. Served with delicious fish sauce on the side. House special pho- Perfect for cold and sick days. Drinking the flavorful broth really warmed my soul. Noodles were not tightly clumped up and the assortment of meats was good. The brisket did come already cooked though, not pink and slightly undercooked like it traditionally is. Lemongrass pork chop over rice- Perfectly grilled and flavorful pork chop! The delicious juices dripped all over the rice and made it taste so good, especially when mixed with the fish sauce. Grilled chicken banh mi- Bread was toasted perfectly. Missing cilantro and pate though and no option for BBQ pork. Prices are very good and notably less expensive than other Viet restaurants on 86th street. My only gripe is that there are some traditional Viet restaurant items that are notably missing from their menu. What they do have on their menu they prepare very well though. Definitely my go-to Viet restaurant nearby at the moment! Tip: 5% discount if you pay in cash.

Sliced Brisket Ph - A bowl of Vietnamese pho featuring sliced beef, green onions, and clear broth is placed on a wooden table. Accompanying the pho are fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and shredded carrots on a white plate. There are three spring rolls with dipping sauce on a separate white rectangular plate. A cold iced coffee in a plastic cup with a lid is also on the table. The background shows a window and part of a chair.

I really enjoyed everything I had here! Plus, the prices are AMAZING. This huge bowl of pho was $13 and they have meal sets/combos under $20. The banh mi was the real stand out for me, it was delicious. The service is fast, and it's a casual spot. The waiters speak English and Chinese.

I normally do not crave Pho but I saw a BOGO deal on Uber Eats so I had to give it a try. Got the sliced brisket pho. One thing I liked right away is that it was only brisket as sometimes I don't like all the other things that are added in the soup. They advertise a 23 hour broth. I must admit, it does taste good and have good flavor. It's a clean taste as well. The brisket slices are sliced thin which is another extra bonus. I do feel like there was something missing from the soup or the flavors but I can't put my finger on it

Ordered takeout from this restaurant and it was so delicious. It's not my first time eating at pho table, but it's my first time eating from this location. It seems like this is a new location and the pho is even better than I remembered. The portions are extremely generous and they give a lot of soup. The flavor of the soup was really good, but it can be a little salty and has a bit of a MSG flavor . Overall, I'm very pleasantly surprised and it was such a big portion. I had to split it into two meals.

This new addition to the heart of Bath Beach has fierce competition considering there's already 2-3 other Pho spots in the area. What sets this restaurant apart is the fact that they have a very condensed menu, mainly built around the two set meals they offer. Set meal A comes with your choice of one of three Pho (regular, sliced brisket, beef ball), one appetizer (assortment of spring rolls, summer rolls, or veggie), and a drink (anything from the classic viet iced coffee to Thai tea to boba). All in all, bang for buck is pretty good, but the Pho broth lacked a little bit of flavor. However, the spring rolls were very crispy and the coffee had a very traditional taste. Service wise, they were very attentive, and seeing as we went not even a week after their official opening, very lively dinner crowd. Be warned they do close slightly earlier than the other restaurants in the area (9pm), so plan around that. The restaurant is still very clean and has that new store buzz to it. Hope they keep it up and good luck to the

House Special Pho - A large bowl of Vietnamese house special pho contains sliced meat, green onions, and a clear, aromatic broth. A white soup spoon rests inside the bowl, and the dish is placed on a wooden table. The background includes a small plate with lime wedges and sliced chili peppers, indicating typical accompaniments for pho.

This is their third location, and this Vietnamese chain aims to be a more modern take on the typical spot by offering a smaller, more focused menu. I ordered the house special pho. The sliced eye of round came fully cooked, which is uncommon in my experience, and it ended up being pretty tough. The other meat portions were decent, and I did appreciate the extra amount of thinly sliced onions they included. The broth wasn't overly salty, which was nice since they emphasize not using MSG, but the depth of flavor just wasn't there. The noodles were also a letdown, too soft and prone to clumping or falling apart in your mouth. One detail I did enjoy was the oversized spoon. It lets you scoop up a big bite with meat, bean sprouts, noodles, and broth all together, unlike the smaller spoons you usually get elsewhere where stuff would spill out before it reached your mouth. The staff were very open to feedback, which makes sense since this is a new location. They checked in several times to see how everything was and whether it met my expectations, so they clearly seem interested in improving.

New Pho Table in the area. That makes 3 locations in Brooklyn. Very clean compare to other locations and doesn't offer the same deal as the bath beach location (stamp card deal). This one is much closer to home so it'll be quicker for us to get to. Service was decent, maybe need more work as they are still new. I noticed all locations have dirty soda can tops. They do not rinse and everyone always stares when I bring the can sodas into the bathroom to clean the soda tops (wash rinse and scrub with paper towel) and return to table. Recommend that all locations as least rinse the top with hot water before giving to customers with extra napkins to scrub the top off. I did see noticeable dirt on the cans a few times. All locations are slow to water refills and bus tables to make room for new dishes. If all dishes are large platter size and isn't remove before main entrees come, the table top is cram with dishes and trying to fit our entrees. I usually try to stack plates to make space and easier for staff to grab to remove, but they usually leave everything to the end. Sometimes, you even see empty tables still with dishes on it as they don't bus tables right away even after customers leave. Food- always a lovely clean broth. Pho table speciality is their broth. Long simmering beef broth and taste clean. Not heavy on sodium and they advertised no MSG at all for those that fears it or have restrictions. Fresh Đĩa rau sống plate (garnish plate: bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, and lime wedges) given to each person (no need to share!) I can usually judge the quality of pho places by their soup and garnish quality. Bean sprouts beautiful white and crisp (not old/wilted/brown). Their combo set is always a great deal! Appetizer, entree and drink. I usually don't want any of the boba which is why I alway opt for soda can. Complimentary paper cup of water/tea is upon request (but not often refill unless you flag staff to request). Also, a suggestion to improve their menu. All locations menu doesn't list everything or ingredients in case of dietary restrictions or allergies. For example, spring roll is only pork. Summer rolls; there are a few options but not listed on menu and you have to ask staff to find out the options. Beef, pork, shrimp, and I think chicken are options for summer rolls. Not sure if there is anything available for vegetarians/vegan. Pescatarian can eat shrimp.

23-hour simmered beef pho! The beef pho features a rich, clean broth that's comforting without feeling heavy--made low-sodium so you can sip every drop and feel good about it. Tender beef, fresh herbs, and perfectly cooked noodles come together in a bowl that truly warms the soul--perfect for this cold weather. Not stopping at pho though. They're also serving up Vietnamese favorites like the classic bánh mì, grilled chicken rice, and a variety of tasty appetizers to share. Finish on a sweet note with the refreshing mango pomelo sago from Yuan Yang dessert. They're also available through Fantuan delivery--easy, cozy meals at home! My new favorite pho spot around 86th st. I was fascinated by his house special pho where their broth is very clean and tasty. The bowl is huge filled with broth. They're also offering 10% discount if you pay with cash- not sure how long it will last for. The lemongrass chicken was very flavorful as well . Summer rolls are not bad. I liked it so much that I ordered take out two days in a row.

A close-up of a bowl of Vietnamese pho, containing sliced onions, chopped green onions, and a clear broth. The bowl is filled with steaming hot soup, with bubbles on the surface. A white spoon is partially submerged in the broth, and the background shows a textured gray cloth and a dark surface.

Set A ordered at Pho Table in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn nyc. Pho serves 2 people. Summer roll and coconut Vietnamese coffee. Staff is amazing and 10% cash discount.

I first had Pho Table almost a year ago when I found them on the food delivery apps. They were doing buy 1 get 1 free pho brisket, but I wasn't too satisfied when I had it because the broth was so bland. However, a year later, I finally know how to appreciate the broth. Yes, it's not as flavorful and rich as other places, but it still has flavor in a clean way that is welcomed when you don't really want to eat out but still too lazy to cook. I wouldn't feel guilty or unhealthy afterward.

Sliced brisket pho - The image shows two bowls of sliced brisket pho on a dark wooden table in a Vietnamese restaurant. One bowl is closer to the camera, filled with broth, noodles, sliced beef, and green onions. The second bowl is being held by a person wearing a beige sweater, with a spoon inside. Side dishes include fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, sliced jalapeños, and vegetables. Additional small bowls contain sauces and condiments. The background features a person standing near a wooden door and tiled floor.

The pho portion is huge. When it arrived, for a split second it felt like competition sized serving. I really enjoyed the pho! Others mentioned the soup base lacked flavor, though I do agree I have had deeper tasting broth, I don't think it lacked flavor. Just a different level of intensity. Anyways, people dress up their pho with sauces and such so the broth didn't bother me at all. The noodles were cooked well and the thin sliced briskets were soft and delicious. I like that they have set menus which is an entree, an appetizer and a drink all for under $25. Can't be that price. No complaints on the food or service, but I agree with a post below about gnats flying around which can be annoying when you're trying to eat. I would still go back and eat though!

A close-up of a sandwich with sliced cooked beef, shredded carrots, and chopped celery inside a soft bread roll. The sandwich is held by a person's hand, with a plastic container in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining or takeout environment.

Ordered lunch from here today, got the box set with summer rolls, pork banh mi and Thai milk tea. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious and the portion is HUGE. I ordered through Grubhub so total with tip came out to $25 which, considering this meal will be lasting me two days, is absolutely worth it. I'm not a fan of pho so I can't say anything about their pho but definitely go there for the banh mi sandwiches cause they're absolutely delicious.

Ba Xuyen

Borough Park

I really thought I had reviewed Ba Xuyen before. I first ate here pre-pandy and it never occurred…read moreto me that I hadn't chimed in about this awesome spot. Well, let's clear that up now. The aunties are mentioned often in other reviews, and that's because they're amazing. They'll gladly explain what you need, especially when it comes to the super tasty (and extremely inexpensive) deserts that populate racks and the drink fridges here. Some are sweet, some are sour (the deserts, that is), they'll let you know. Honesty since a cake here is $5, you can afford to try everything! How on to the main reason that you came, the Banh Mi. You literally can't go wrong with any of the eight main sandwiches here. I've tried them all so you don't have to, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. The bread is crispy, the ingredients are super fresh, and the tastes combine perfectly. The decor is perfect for this kind of spot. No frills. There are three tables and a bunch of chairs. It's exactly what I want in a takeout type place. They concentrate on the food. So, to wrap this one up. Go. I'd say that I'll be back, but I've been coming here for years. If you haven't, it's time to start.

very good vietnamese food the banh mi reminds me of home…read moreprob one of the best ive had in nyc.... avocado smoothie was great im used to it being a little less blended with ice chunks and sugar but flavor was on point after adding another packet. viet coffee was above average for sure! not breathtaking but solid. lady was nice she also spoke vietnamese and chinese. fast service and showed me the restroom! come here if u want some viet food!!!!
