wonton noodle soup
Gloria X.

I got the lunch special option with wonton noodle soup, cucumber avocado roll, and HK milk tea. The cucumber avocado roll was nice and fresh. Milk tea tasted great. The wonton noodle soup only came with three wontons :( they tasted good though, and the soup and noodles were solid. I will come back for some of their other Hong Kong dishes. Most of the other diners were old people so the food must be legit lol

Chinese cuisine itself is already incredibly versatile, but it seems like that's just not enough for most Chinese restaurants, and one way or another, there's always a variety of Asian cuisines on the menu. iRestaurant is no exception to this rule, offering everything from sushi and sashimi to baked rice and spaghetti. I've been here on two occasions, and the food has yet to disappoint. Furthermore, the prices are low and affordable, the portion sizes are huge, and the kitchen is speedy. The Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup is my favorite on the menu, with its big juicy wontons and seemingly never-ending noodles. The Sushi Sashimi Combo A is exceptional too. The sashimi cuts are thick, buttery, and beautifully plated, and I can't believe I'd say this, but even the California roll here tastes better than the ones I've had at other restaurants. **Be prepared for price discrepancies between the menu and your bill. (For us, the Beef Ho Fun was advertised as $9.75 on the menu, but we paid almost $11 for it, pretax.)

I'm usually skeptical of Asian restaurants that serve multiple cuisines but you really get the best of all worlds here: Chinese BBQ meats, HK cafe food, and sushi. A rare find on 8th Ave, and the perfect spot to get a little bit of everything if you're craving 2-3 of these types of food. Apparently they even serve goose (HK thing) but in terms of BBQ meats, I've only tried the roast pig which was really good! I returned last night with my family for a dine-in meal. We shared an eel avocado roll and shrimp tempura roll so I can't exactly vouch for the raw fish here. We also had the XO Sauce Fried Udon w/ Seafood and a Baked Fish Fillet w/ Sweet Corn Sauce rice. The latter was sooo good; my favorite. Delightfully creamy and cheesy, and not overly rich/heavy as baked rice might usually be. I was surprised to see that our side of veggies (choy sum) turned out to be the most expensive dish we ordered, but you know Chinese people take our vegetables very seriously and it was delicious. Everything was very affordable and we had a filling, satisfying and homey meal. Would recommend & return again!

Asian fusion can often be questionable. Specialize in one thing, because you can't possibly give equal love to both, right? Well, Apple's secret restaurant proves us wrong! Unfortunately, the place rubbed me off the wrong way when I ordered off their menu just to realize after paying that the prices are off by a couple bucks. I'm not sure if this was to save money on printing menus but, integrity with your customers pays off more in the long run. If you use credit card, expect to pay tax. The Salmon Avocado Roll ($4.75) and Eel Avocado Rolls ($4.75) were great! The Sushi Sashimi Combo B ($28.50) exceeded my expectations with their sashimi. I was not expecting such thick pieces. I also love when the chefs cut it so the fish extends off the rice like a tail. The random salmon roll, which was simply salmon with rice wrapped in a small nori, was nice but of course, felt lacking compared to the rest. While the customer service wasn't the warmest, I am here for the quality food. Count me in on joining the loud ambiance next time to try their HK style dishes!

This is a new restaurant that opened up on 8th Ave, one of Brooklyn's Chinatown's. We came here because my mom wanted to try it out after hearing promotions about it on 1480 AM, the Chinese radio station -- touts of a half-pound free of meat when you buy X amount, eating free on your birthday, etc. We were seated immediately and service was quick -- the cuisine was a bit Hong-Kong cafe style, resembling HK Tea and Sushi on 86th st. We went with a Spicy Salmon Roll, a Baked Minced Beef with Peas (one of my favourite dishes, ever), a "Dry" Beef Flat Noodle Stir-Fry and a Curry Baked Spaghetti with seafood. Nothing really stood out to me from the meal -- the Spicy Salmon roll was fine, your standard fare and prepared relatively quickly. The Baked Minced Beef did not have the right flavour (it missed that tangy ketchup-y taste) nor did it include any peas, despite it being in the name. The Dry Beef noodle was fine, but lacked any taste, and the curry baked spaghetti was meh. Despite being a lackluster experience, I cannot complain because it is cheap (we had an extra 10% taken off, for some reason), quick, and they spoke my family's native tongue (Toisan). I came here again for other dishes the following week, and they fared a bit better for take-out -- Singaporean Mai Fun and "Wet" Beef Flat Noodle with Gravy.

I was really excited to try this because it was new. Inside it really clean and nice. There is a roasted meats counter at the front that is popular. The servers are new and were flustered and kept telling the kitchen to hurry with our dishes because they thought that we were waiting for too long. I felt so bad because we weren't in a rush and it's not like we were upset. They were very attentive so that's nice. We ordered the borscht soup which had a really good flavor, but it was too peppery. The second time we ordered the soup, it had hot chili in it so it was just plain spicy with no other flavor. The curry chicken over rice was just spicy and didn't have any other flavor so that was disappointing. The sushi sandwich was overly sweet? It has sushi rice and Kani salad and a sweet mayo sauce. The Mayo sauce was good at first but then eating 2 of the sushi sandwiches made it too sweet. The owner told us that it was really popular so we ordered it. It's a good gimmick if you want to try something new. We came back another time and ordered the sushi combo b, baked chicken over rice with red sauce, and stir fried rice cakes. My parents got a different sushi/sashimi set a different time and they said it was really fresh, so I wanted the sushi combo. It had fresh tuna and salmon. There was also white tuna and white fish. The California and salmon rolls were good. The baked chicken over rice was good but I wish there was a little more sauce. Stir fried rice cakes smelled really good when it came out but i think they over cooked it because the rice cakes were way too sticky. It also didn't have any flavor other than the salty preserved veg that came with it. Overall, I'm excited because this is something new for 8th ave, but there's definitely room for improvement.

I had a fairly pleasant experience with ordering take out from this restaurant. I checked out the menu they had by the door, and a man handed me a menu saying that it's easier. That same man later helped an elderly woman open the door when he was already inside. I realized later that he might be either the manager or owner of the place. He also helped me place my order, in which I ordered two baked rice and one fish fillet dish to go. The portions were very generous and the prices were reasonable. Most importantly, my family and I enjoyed the taste of the food.

Two Special rolls

The chef was nice, they greet us goodbye and I gave them a dumbs up, the thing is the waitress/ waiter is always in a rush so they might not give you the best greetings but they are trying their best to multi-task. When you are seated, they will give you tea instead of water and which is nice on a cold afternoon or night. The rolls were made with time, very delicate and delicious, will recommend. Also they have other menu selections ( a whole bunch).

Sushiiiii sashimi!!

Amazing sushi presentations!!! Unbelievably fresh too! Couldn't expect this gem in 8th Ave! Definitely a must go to lunch spot when in the area! Price is super affordable toooo!

4-stars- I tried them for the first time as I was looking for a new Chinese take out restaurant…read moresince Grand Szechuan closed, which was on 5 Ave near 87 street. The menu and Yelp reviews looked good so I decided to give them a try. I ordered the vegetable spring rolls, Kung Pao Shrimp, General Tao's Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai. I was told it would take 45 minutes to be delivered and it came in a few minutes under the time. All the dishes were good, portions were fair and there were good flavors of each dish. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because there was an issue with one of the dishes. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and we received Chicken instead. It would not have been a big deal but we already had two chicken dishes and wanted to have a shrimp dish. When we called they asked me if I wanted the $1 difference back. I said, no I wanted the shrimp dish. I told them I took out some of the food and put it on my plate not realizing it was not shrimp. I said that if this happened in a restaurant, they would just give us a new dish. My expectation was that they would apologize, send me the shrimp dish as quickly as possible as we were already eating. Instead, they had to check with the chef and the manager before agreeing to send me the shrimp dish. They asked me to give them back the chicken dish wish surprised me. What are they going to do the chicken dish?? They did send me the shrimp dish within about 30 minutes at no charge. Mistakes happen, and I was understanding. I wanted to help them improve their customer relations as most customers would not be back if they had to plead to get the dish replaced. I would still order from them and recommend them. I just hope they learn from their mistakes as I would like them to succeed. The food is very good and I would like to see them succeed. I will give them another try on the future and I hope everything is on point.

Pho is my go to soup order when dining in Vietnamese restaurants. Bay Ridge has added numerous delicious restaurants like E Noodle, Em and Pho Table. I have yet to dine in at Pho Table but my visit will be coming soon as temperatures drop. The other night, I was craving Pho but somehow ordered their Banh Mi chicken, they were offering a BOGO on it and I couldn't resist. I also ordered their Milk Tea. The delivery was a little late however the deliciousness of the Banh Mi erased the lateness. The sandwich was packed with care, a plastic sandwich case housed it and kept it neat and fresh. The sandwich was generous in portion and packed with chicken, carrots and other veggies, house mayo on a French baguette. They added slices of jalapeño on the side. The sandwich was absolutely scrumptious, fresh and huge. I ate half and saved half for next day. The Milk tea was good but didn't have Boba, I probably read it incorrectly or it just doesn't come with it. Pho offers a combo order of pho, appetizer and drink or Banh mi, appetizer and drink. These combos offer great value for the money. I'm looking forward to a future Pho meal on a cold wintry day. Pho Table is located on 1870 86th Street, Brooklyn, NY

A generous helping of beef, the only thing I wanted was more herbs, more mint and basil, would've made this likely 5 stars. The summer rolls also lacked the herbs, mainly mint, that would've taken it up a level higher. The bowls are MASSIVE and really well priced at 12.99; it's not really advertised but you can also get a smaller sized bowl for 9.99. I got the pho set which included a drink and the summer rolls for 23. Not much of a savings but if you're going to get an app and drink anyways then why not. You also get 5% off if you pay cash.

This newish restaurant has been opened for about half a year and from the outside you wouldn't know…read moreit's a decent Cantonese restaurant unless you spot the minimal signage. It's in a quieter area of Boro Park surrounded by residences and commercial warehouses and auto shops. Yet I wanted to try it for months. So we did try it especially as they have a lunch special everyday from 11am to 3pm which offers a starter of their house soup with all the fixings - spare rib, fresh chicken, mushrooms, a abalone as well. While not like most other restaurants which their house soup is left over bones and odds/ends with a heap loud of msg. Then 3 main dishes of your choice from their lunch special menu which has over 20 dishes for you. Plus a bowl of their white rice for each person. Even a simple bowl of white rice was amazing - it's a mix of different rices which presents very nicely - each grain stays individual, long, fluffy, and great texture. The main dishes do not disappoint- fresh, flavorful, well balanced, and with wok hay. We've now eaten there a handful of times for lunch and even with other friends/family - everyone agrees the food and preparation is excellent. Everyone says they would come back. Then if you take into account the lunch special deal for $30 this is an amazing meal that feeds your taste buds and stomach yet your wallet praises you. I have read some reviews giving 1 star with comments about long wait for dim sum, dim sum being average at best, and bad manager/servers etc. I have these observations to share - Dak Sing Palace has a small dim sum menu maybe a dozen or less items and they are not a dim sum restaurant so they likely don't produce dim sum fresh daily. Likely their dim sum is frozen and reheated. Thus the wait time and average dim sum. Bad manager/servers - this is not uncommon at Chinese restaurants it is almost expected to have to deal with this to some extent. My own experiences here every server does do their job maybe some without a smile but we have had excellent servers with a smile and small talk also. If you have any reservations about trying Dak Sing Palace due to how the appearance may seem, or reviews on the service, or dim sum then I say Just Go! And try using their lunch special for $30!
