    California roll

Ordered lunch with coworkers from this place though I have been there for dinner a few times and it is always fun and the food is good and they do not disappoint. Lunch was really nice. I had got a bento box with chicken teriyaki shumai and a California roll. Food was fresh and very good and very prompt delivery.

The sushi is fresh and the happy hour is bomb, two drinks and you're feeling it, a third and you'll forget you got sushi to begin with LOL. It's quiet on a 4pm , hopefully everyone doesn't flock here after this.

I went here years ago and it was my no. 1 sushi place to go. I like the atmosphere and I like that they have rooms for privacy, good service. I went back again, it disappointed me. the sushi quality is very unsatisfied. Fish is not fresh, sushi rice tastes like overnight rice (very hard). Also, a worker there keeps opening our door without knotting on the door and keeps telling us to hurry up to finish the sushi. I still like the atmosphere and the woman who served was nice and friendly. But will not go back again.

    Shrimp Tempura & Brooklyn Roll

I went here for lunch with my partner and ordered takeout. The interior was very spacious, and there's a 2nd floor. There is also a smaller, private room with sliding doors & you sit on the floor. They also have a bar. We ordered the eel avocado, salmon, and shrimp tempura rolls, were yummy. The Brooklyn roll, on the other hand, stood out for being much larger than the regular rolls. However, the Brooklyn roll wasn't that good even though it had plenty of filling. We also tried the takoyaki, which was delicious and tasted even better than the rolls. Next time, we will dine in.

$19 seafood udon noodles: huge portions but so bland and tasteless

The atmosphere is casual. Good for large parties or low-key dates. Prices are not cheap. Food quality is very poor. Service was nonexistent on a Monday night. Our orders were messed up. We waited for hours for our food. Utensils were not brought out. Our dirty dishes remained on the table for the duration of the night. The limited staff did the best they could but our experience was awful nonetheless. Miso soup tasted off. Chicken fried rice was mostly rice, barely any chicken. $19 seafood udon noodles and $17 chicken udon noodles were the worst dishes on the menu. So bland and tasteless. We couldn't eat. Frozen chicken and seafood mix. Barely any protein per noodle ratio. Skip. Rolls were meh. Poorly executed. Green tea fried ice cream was probably the best thing we tried, which is a shame. Do not recommend. Will not be back.

I got the sushi and sashimi for two. I came in during lunch and it wasn't that busy yet. The restaurant is somewhat clean and spacious. They have some rooms for small groups with the sliding doors. They do have a credit card charge to your bill if you pay credit card though.

Food: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: open area and private tables available for large parties Food was great. My friends loved their drinks and they particularly liked the Mai Tai, Espresso Martini, and the Relaxed Ruby. Must try Toro Sashimi!

Made a reservation for a room for 14 ppl a few days ahead but when i got there they said there was no reservation. They still gave us a room since it was around 5:30pm and not alot of people. Then after getting seated we made our order the waitress told us our order was coming. But then they told us they made the wrong order and gave to the other room (we were seated first and ordered first), we ordered 2 sushi and sashimi deluxe for 3 So we had to wait longer. From ordering to getting the sushi and sashimi serve it took approx 1-1.5hrs. We had other food served before thst but after we finish the other food the order still wasnt served. Pretty disappointing. Not to mention the sushi and sashimi wasn't even that good. For the price it could have been better.

From the start, the menu felt a little overwhelming, but I actually liked how much variety there was. They've got your everyday sashimi, sushi, rolls, and some specials, plus plenty of hot food like bento boxes, noodles and rice dishes. There are even party trays if you're grabbing food for an event. With so many options, there's something for everyone in your group. The fish was fresh overall, though it leaned more mild than that buttery, sweet richness you get from higher grade cuts. The salmon belly was good but not as rich or melty as I hoped. The toro was nicely torched with that perfect buttery flavor. They also had Santa Barbara uni that night, which was solid, just not the most sweet batch I've had. They were already sold out of their Hokkaido uni that evening. We also tried the monkfish liver appetizer, it was mild and clean tasting, though I wished it had more of that rich, creamy depth you sometimes get from good quality ankimo. It came plain, but once I asked for a little ponzu, it helped balance the flavor. The space itself is clean and very bright, with an open layout where you can easily hear other tables, lively but not too loud. Service was friendly and polite, though a bit on the inexperienced side. Everyone was kind and tried their best, just small moments where communication or timing could be smoother. Parking in the area can be tricky depending on the time, but there are plenty of meters and street parking within walking distance.

Dipping their toes in so many different arenas might actually be their detriment because they're going for everything while not excelling in most. I would rather they cut down on some dishes and make sure all are great instead. I absolutely love their Thai fried chicken, which is so affordable (8 pieces for $12), and tastes so crispy on the outside but so moist and flavorful on the inside. It comes with a tangy fish sauce, but you can add different green curry and/or red curry for 50 cents each. I like it best with the fish sauce. However, that's the Thai fried chicken is the only dish I absolutely love from this place. Everything else is very mediocre, which is unfortunate. 6 rolls bento - $15; comes with california roll, spicy tuna roll, lobster salad roll, salmon avocado roll, eel cucumber roll, shrimp tempura, kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken. It's a lot of food for $15, and the sushi actually tastes decent. The kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken are just tiny portions, but the fried chicken are like nuggets and taste really bad. 4/5 Mushroom noodles - $10; It's so rare to find such affordable e-fu noodles but sadly, it tastes nothing like what e-fu noodles should taste like. I wouldn't even know that they're supposed to be e-fu noodles if I just blindly tasted. I would not get this again here. 3/5 Pad see ew beef - $13; Again, like the mushroom noodles, it didn't taste like pad see ew. It's missing that sweetness and charred factor that's usually present in pad see ew. 3/5 Pad Kra Pao (??) - I can't remember if it's this dish that I got, but it was some type of Thai rice dish with a meat sauce. It was so terrible, I only ate 10% of it and didn't take it to go. 1/5 Pad thai - I didn't try it but my friend got it and the color looked really off. Aside from the food, there are other improvements to be made here. It seems like a family-run restaurant, with only two workers facing the customers. It's really hard to get their attention when the restaurant is busy. The space is very tight and looks like it could be more well-maintained. They also need more menus. Hard to share just one with the whole table.

We ordered the crunchy cabbage, marinated cucumber, crispy garlic potatoes, mushroom Tempera, a variety of skewers including the washugyu & shishito and scallop bacon and pumpkin (you can choose fried or grilled, I chose grilled styled) and the champon noodle bowl. The food comes out very fast. The cucumber was alright though I was not a fan of the WakuWaku sauce overly sweet. The cabbage was delicious but lacked flavor. Huge portion though. Then came out the skewers. The pumpkin was cold. I wasn't a fan of the washugyu & shishito one. And the scallop bacon was just eh, didn't really notice the bacon on it. Everything tempera one were my favorite. I loved the potato tempera it was perfectly fried. Esp. with the spicy miso sauce, it was fire, I was dipping everything in it. And the mushroom was even better. Enoki mushroom was delicious. Careful with the chicken karaage it comes out HOT. Massive pieces so good and juicy. Great portion. The noodle bowl is bigger than your head so I advise to only get one if you're sharing portions. I like the flavor of the soup, very soothing. Good collagen boost too! Lots of seafood in it. Perfect soup for a cold rainy day like we experienced. Theres miso cod was good but have had better. Honestly everything was good. I would just not get the cucumber dish and the skewers we ordered next time. They have some also have tatami rooms if you want more of a traditional Japanese style like restaurant. Overall, good experience. I would come back and try the tatami experience just with avoid a few dishes.

It's above and beyond your basic udon soup, really flavorful and hearty -- I think it's the brown mushrooms. I'm not normally one to rave about udon, but it just really blew me away.
