Warning: Rice-Heavy Bowl, Missing Paid Add-Ons, and WARM Raw fish! I ordered a 3-protein poke bowl with Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, and Eel for delivery through Grubhub, seduced by the $10 off discount offer and by my previous positive experience with this place. Unfortunately, the quality has clearly declined, and if the ownership has changed, it definitely shows. This was a very disappointing experience Based on what I received, the bowl was about 95% rice with only a very thin layer of toppings and protein on top. The Protein Scam: The "spicy tuna" and "spicy salmon" were not what most people would expect. Instead of proper chopped fish, both had a mushy, pasty, almost spread-like consistency -- more like scraped fish leftovers mashed into a paste than proper chopped spicy tuna or salmon. The eel portion was negligible, maybe only 2 or 3 tiny pieces total. Missing Paid Add-Ons: I paid extra for Wasabi Tobiko and seaweed salad, but Tobiko was completely missing, while the seaweed salad was present, but in an extremely tiny amount -- less than a teaspoon -- and the same goes for the kani and the rest of the toppings. The onion crisps were incredibly tough and nearly impossible to chew. The "Spice" Mask & Safety Concern: Most concerning of all, the fish was warm, mushy, had a very strange texture and appearance, which is unacceptable for raw seafood. The spicy mixture was unusually aggressive -- so heavily seasoned that it felt like it was masking the poor quality and questionable texture of the fish rather than complementing it. The Verdict: Do NOT be fooled by the $10 off Grubhub discount. By the time you pay extra for add-ons they do not even provide, you are left with an overpriced bowl that is basically 95% rice and 5% toppings. The Sanitation Dept. grade "B" is another factor to consider, and so are the recent 1-star reviews, which I can now personally confirm are 100% accurate. I am impressed on how tasty, fresh, and huge the sushi rolls are! I ordered a party tray that included special rolls and they are HUGE with ample amount of filling and just enough rice. Ordered the lunch special (3 roll maki plus choice of soup or salad for about $18). They have quite a few rolls to choose from - you got the basic ones plus some unique ones. I like how they have some interesting rolls that you can order as part of the lunch special such as fried oyster roll. The sushi however was very mediocre. Didn't feel like the fish quality was very good and the rolls fell apart easily as well. Overall, just a basic sushi place (that also has an extensive menu selling other foods). May give it another try for the other foods but I'll skip the sushi. read more

Ordered take out. This place can fit a small sized group about ~7 people max. The seats are similar to how you would be seated at omakase; counter surrounding the chef. I ordered the family party which you can choose 7 regular rolls and 3 special rolls. The rolls were good, but there is a slight fishy taste. Came here spontaneously when we were walking by and just so happened to be talking about dinner. We ordered a dinner box where you choose 2 protein (we chose beef and chicken teriyaki), and it comes with rice, california roll, 2 shumai, Seaweed salad, and miso soup or salad. We also ordered a chicken udon also comes with miso soup or salad. The staff were all very friendly, greeted us with smiling faces, even those who we did not interacted with for our order. We ordered our meal to go. When we got home we were surprised by the large portion sizes. It was enough food that served both of us 2 meals. And we were both happy at how the food tasted, I mean I guess it's not like blow our socks off good since it is the typical sushi restaurant, but good enough that I would come back here. No idea what this other review by this moron "Mathew" is talking about. I been meaning to try this place I eat a lot of sushi, so happy I did, by far the best sushi I've ever had. I sat at the bar and enjoyed it. The quality of the fish is what makes it, it's cut nice and thick, I also really liked their sushi rice- not too sweet. Everything was top top quality. So happy I randomly stopped in, now I come all the way from bay ridge to eat here. Highly recommend it if you like good quality sushi. Nice assortment of Japanese drinks as well. read more

Found this sushi place on Seamless with a deal of $10 off your first order or $10 off orders of $30 or more. Sounded worth a try. Ordered my favorite general sushi from this place (nigiri salmon sushi, regular roll salmon sushi and a salmon avacado roll) Part of my order consisted of an item called "Orange Lover" which most places would just call "Salmon Lover". Nothing to love about this, though. By a wide margin, some of the worst salmon sushi I've ever had in my entire life. I could tell just by the way the Nigiri Sushi was made that the chef there CLEARLY aren't aiming for quality. Also, Salmon isn't supposed to be THAT chewy... it was almost like it was at the end of it's shelf-life which... was alarming. Complete waste of $27 dollars I wish I could somehow get back. Never EVER again... (I gave more than one star because the order came quickly and it was the correct order so... I guess at least they can read... good for them... now they just need to learn how to make sushi that doesn't have to go in the garbage as soon as the quality is realized). read more

Run by a small family, and are all very friendly. So polite once you walk in and just happy. We ordered a party tray where you can pick a few regular rolls and a special roll. Sushi was fresh and I would go back again. Had a side of sashimi and asked specifically without a type of sashimi and they said it was no problem to omit what I didn't like. I would probably go back for one of the specific lover sets that cater to just salmon or just tuna if I'm feeling picky next time. They have both hot food and Sushi on a very large menu. The deliveryman rarely follows instruction. There are instructions in Chinese and English to leave the food on a chair in front of the door and it rarely happens. There is one particular man who will keep calling even though he is instructed to put the food on the chair and then he says his call isn't answered. The food quality has decreased the last two orders as well. read more
