17 years and still my favorite Japanese fusion restaurant! Consistent food and service. Family takes pride in everything that they do. They now have a rolls platter - 10 rolls for $45.00. Easy dinner! Can't say enough about this wonderful family-owned restaurant! They do everything right! Great food and wonderful service! Come support this local restaurant!

I did takeout over the phone. The prices are are slightly cheaper than the mark up via ordering through yelp online. Sushi is pretty good here for the prices. There is hand sanitizer available on the table when you pick up your order. Lunch Special (Order 3 Rolls): - California Roll - there is fake crab meat in this roll but nonetheless a staple roll - Salmon Avocado Roll - love this. one of my go to rolls - Spicy Crunch Salmon Roll - This was alright as the roll was kind of small here. I definitely prefer the salmon avocado roll more. - Salad (I love the dressing they use on the salad here) Other Rolls: - Eel Avocado Roll - Another one of my go to rolls. I am kind of sad that this wasn't in the lunch special options. - Spider Roll (I used to get the spider roll from HK Tea and Sushi and I remember theirs was bigger. There is only 5 pieces at Samurai Fusion Sushi and I feel like the roll here is smaller compared to HK Tea and Sushi) Special Roll: - Dragon Roll (Eel and cucumber topped with avocado and tobiko) One of the pricier rolls but delicious and very colorful/pleasing to the eye.

Used to be my go to place but a bit disappointed in its quality of food. Perhaps it was sitting in the take out container for too long but the shrimp terriyaki was over cooked and skimp on the shrimp. The sushi was thinly cut and the fish did not taste fresh. Also, the sushi rolls had very small pieces of sweet potato and fish. Perhaps it's due the inflation but quality was not there.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Bath Beach area. They have unique rolls. Tonight, I didn't feel like making dinner hence I picked up some rolls - Boston, Alaskan and Philly. It came with a side salad and ginger dressing. I love how close it is to the library. I placed my order then I walked over to pick up my books. Then, I went back 15 minutes later and it was ready for me.

4.75 Overall. Great flavor, not overly salty like most Japanese restaurants. Smaller portions for lower prices which is great so I can try more items. The Asparagus Roll is interesting, never had something like it before. It's more of like sliced chinese picked cucumber wrap in a roll. Would return if in the area. Great price, value and taste. A comfortable place to relax and dine.

    * Samurai fusion sushi is a place that You we have been enjoying for a long time. Their prices have gone up a bit for the regular basic rolls, but still tastes very good. *We ordered 2 bento boxes this time and paid $33.50 with tax included. *We substituted the side dish of shrimp and veggie tempura for a tuna roll and salad, for a healthier option, and they were happy to accommodate us. *The chef probably needs more experience wrapping the sushi rolls, as you can see- it's a bit too loosely rolled, with not enough rice surrounding it. *Nevertheless, it did taste delicious, and we will continue to order there and support their business happily.

So little rice and so much sashimi and avocado :))))) setting the standard for what sushi should be ! So happy 7. Salmon Avocado Roll

So my aunt has been living in Bensonhurst for over 10 years and I visit her often and order takeout. My aunt doesn't like sushi but that's another story. What I don't understand is that I still can't believe I just recently decided to try this sushi spot that is only 2 blocks away from her home. I am still eating my sushi right now as I'm writing this review. All I have to say is that this is probably the most fresh sushi I have ever had. The portions are also amazing! I got Kani salad, California roll, spicy salmon & shrimp avocado. The shrimp avocado immediately stood out! It's beautiful! I definitely recommend this spot! Try it out for yourselves!!

The food was too small, the price was too high, the taste was just so-so, and the salad was a bit stale.

From the start, the menu felt a little overwhelming, but I actually liked how much variety there was. They've got your everyday sashimi, sushi, rolls, and some specials, plus plenty of hot food like bento boxes, noodles and rice dishes. There are even party trays if you're grabbing food for an event. With so many options, there's something for everyone in your group. The fish was fresh overall, though it leaned more mild than that buttery, sweet richness you get from higher grade cuts. The salmon belly was good but not as rich or melty as I hoped. The toro was nicely torched with that perfect buttery flavor. They also had Santa Barbara uni that night, which was solid, just not the most sweet batch I've had. They were already sold out of their Hokkaido uni that evening. We also tried the monkfish liver appetizer, it was mild and clean tasting, though I wished it had more of that rich, creamy depth you sometimes get from good quality ankimo. It came plain, but once I asked for a little ponzu, it helped balance the flavor. The space itself is clean and very bright, with an open layout where you can easily hear other tables, lively but not too loud. Service was friendly and polite, though a bit on the inexperienced side. Everyone was kind and tried their best, just small moments where communication or timing could be smoother. Parking in the area can be tricky depending on the time, but there are plenty of meters and street parking within walking distance.

Ambiance is nice. For appetizer we got the rock n appetizer which was good. Then for entrees we ordered: the dancing eel roll and hubby got the California dinner. His came with soup and I got the salad. I love their salad because of the sauce. I ate some pieces of my husband's roll and they were good. Dancing eel roll was good but a bit sweet and I didn't like it too much. I used to order that a lot before my pregnancy and now I didn't care for it. I also got the green tea tempura ice cream. It was good, but next time I'll should ask them to hold the whipped cream. It made it too sweet and I couldn't taste the green tea ice cream much. Next time, I'll try other rolls or the unagi don which is good too.

I got the salmon lunch bento. It came with a California roll, two shu mais, half an orange, salad/miso soup, rice, and the salmon. It's the typical stuff that comes with a bento but the orange was a surprise. It was even cut nicely to make it convenient to eat! I've been a little worried about the sodium level when I eat out cause everything just tastes so salty these days, but the food here was nicely seasoned and well balanced. I would try to make an effort to eat here more often!

And the bathrooms are probably the nicest bathrooms I've ever seen in NYC as they have a Japanese toilet with a motion sensor lid. The service was very attentive and lovely. I'm a bit short (5'3) so my legs usually just barely touch the bars in a stool / bar seating and when the server (who I believe is also the owner) noticed he brought a shelf essentially that would allow me to rest my feet easier. I've never seen that before and it was so kind and appreciated. They do not have a wine menu which is what I normally order but they do have an extensive sake menu so I decided to give it a try and they have a helpful guide which shows like which sakes are sweet or sour etc. I picked a sweet one which was delicious. When they served it, they let us pick cups based on our Chinese zodiac so we got the monkey and the sheep based on our birth years. So unique and special. And of course the food was delicious! the first half were very unique dishes, plated beautifully and the second half was traditional nigiri. When the chef noticed my strong reaction to the amount of wasabi on the first nigiri, he was kind enough to adjust the amount of wasabi for me moving forward without me even having to ask. All in all it was an incredible night especially not having to go into Manhattan. I look forward to coming back!!

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon for lunch. Decided on a sushi for appetizer and a rice don bowl for meal. Lunch special had any 2 rolls for $8.95 and they have a spicy scallops roll. It turn out to be a California roll with chopped spicy scallops on top. If I knew, I would not have gotten it as I imagine a spicy tuna roll but with scallops. I don't normally get California roll (not basic) because I also don't know what imitatation crab Kani stick product they are using as I have a crustacean allergy. Some Kani stick is purely fish and some have crab extract in it which I can't have. I wish there menu had more details/informations but most sushi places don't list what is in the rolls and expect you to know it or Google it. But for people with allergies (yes, I know, why eat sushi if I have a crustacean allergy but there are other options for me), we would love to know what is in the dish. Ordered: 2 rolls for $8.95: eel avocado & spicy scallop rolls and a Salmon Eel Don. Lots of rice for don and good portion fish. Zoomed in photo of the spicy scallop sushi showed it was California roll with the chopped spicy scallops on top. Overall, enjoyed my lunch. Would definitely come back to try other dons and noodles.
