I ordered from UberEats and the pickup was way faster than the estimated time thank god. It was actually only 15 mins from order placement to pickup. Super fast and was all packed and ready. One of my absolute go-to Thai spots in NYC. If I'm in this part of Williamsburg, I'm making a pit stop here. Priorities. The real star of the show is the Khao Soy. Rich, spicy, creamy curry with egg noodles and a giant drumstick that basically says, "You better come hungry." You'll be slurping every last drop. This was the least flavorful bowl of noodles I've had in a long time. The line at High Lua was a bit too long and I was starving so I finally decided to check out this fluorescent restaurant with an evocative name that I've passed by countless times. I opted for the bamee, which appears to be a Thai version of ee-fun, with mock duck that I believe was seitan based. The noodles themselves had almost no flavor, and the sweet chili sauce had a strange pungence that made me regret mixing it into the bowl. The portions are pretty big here and food comes out fast and piping hot, in true thai fashion. I ordered the pad see ew which I wished had more soy sauce/oyster sauce. There was also a lot of black pepper which I'm not used to for pad see ew. Maybe this is how it's done in certain regions of Thailand? (Unsure) read more

Great food, good for take out or a casual night out. This is definitely a take out spot as the seating is not actually indoors, but outdoor heated. The green curry looks different than your typical Thai place, but the taste was the same as elsewhere, except spicier than most other spots. My friend liked their pad see ew. I've been meaning to check this place out since it opened but never got the chance. Finally after doing one last check with our wedding venue, my fiance & I stopped by for a quick dinner. For a quick dinner without all the frills but with all the authenticity of Thai cuisine, Noods n' Chill is worth the trip. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and aromatic with Southeast Asian herbs & spices. Plus, Noods n' Chill also brought out the spice factor - the heat was ON! Limited seating so go early. Had to walk a ways from main hub in Williamsburg but the place was small, quaint and unassuming. Outdoor seating only. Order and pay at the cash register first. The food was delicious! Had a shrimp pad kee mao, a refreshing green papaya salad (which I think was the best gps I've ever had!) and roti with chicken curry (curry was a little too sweet for my taste- seems more a Malaysian dish than Thai). The price points weren't bad either. It was yoo hot a day to get a hot noodle soup but I think I'd like to try when the weather is a bit cooler. read more

Outdoor seating was comfy and spacious. Let me set the scene. 4 friends, first meal of the day, and ready to overdo it. Here's how it went: Papaya Salad: tasty and fresh - We felt is was spiced for the less adventurous we asked for more spice on the side. Chicken wings: nicely fried, just want you hope for with the crunch and meatiness. Green curry noodles: this one we couldn't quite get into. Curry was flat in flavor, and noodles were over cooked and bloated. Disappointed because we got two of these and left them both behind. Pad See Ew: had this one with mock duck. The combination of flavors here : char, sweet, spicy, tangy. Definitely recommend this dish - one of the faves from our selections. Pad Kra Pow: not too tasty. Chicken was dry and string beans did not taste freshly cooked. We had a few other small plates they were fine nothing to brag about + Thai ice tea. This is truly an amazing Thai restaurant. I ordered the drunken noodles and really enjoyed it. However, listen to my recommendation and order the pad thai because was truly divine. Both meals were extremely flavorful and very tasty. The restaurant itself is nice and they have a spacious outdoor seating area. They get extra points for having hand sanitizer on each table for you to use so that you're not eating with yucky hands. I rate this spot a 5/5 read more

Honestly after so many disappointing food places in Williamsburg, I was just incredibly impressed by how good the food here was. I've tried a little bit of everything here, and pretty much everything on the "what we eat at home" part of the menu is solid and a grade above everything else. My favorite items are the blood boat noodles, the Bkk Guay Tiao Tom Yum, and the Khao Soy but I've enjoyed pretty much everything on the menu. read more

They stole my heart here I looooooveeeee Thai food and saw this driving to the waterfront. So we circled back and luckily waited and found a parking across the street. The neighborhood looks difficult to park. The lady at the front greeted me and informed me to order online so we ordered through Uber eats, picked up and was seated at their mini indoor section by the window. They had outdoor seating but it was full. The aesthetic in there reminded me of Thailand for a sec. So for food, bae ordered the Crispy Pork Rinds, Chicken and Shrimp Pineapple Friend Rice - the rice was sooooooo flavorful, loved the hint of cilantro on top, ask for the sweet chili sauce and chili oil if you're into spice, thank me later i ordered their popular Popcorn Chicken and it was sooooooo good; had bok choy and tasty sauce. Both paired with a Handpulled Thai Iced Tea. I will be back, again and again lol read more

Solid Thai spot in the neighborhood but I'm not sure I'd be excited to revisit. We ordered pad kee mao, crab fried rice, and the chicken bao. Noodles and chicken bao were solid but the fried rice barely included any crab. I was looking forward to this dish since I had it at Uncle Boons. Glad we added the popcorn chicken to the fried rice. The place was also incredibly tiny, so we were standing inside waiting for 30-40 mins. I'll check this place out again maybe on a week day - but I wouldn't recommend it for a group dinner on a weekend. read more

A little overhyped for the quality of food. Raw chicken sitting out in the kitchen in a bag. The dumplings were pretty good. Still not worth travel from Manhattan. Counter help was friendly! Wish I could say something better, but that would be over hyping. So the owner responded to my review politely and positively. She is committed to continual improvement. As well she explained the raw chicken and said she would handle it differently. I think if you are in the neighborhood stop by and decide for yourself. Placed an order for delivery earlier today at around noon and a minute later, they were making my order. Delivery time was estimated to be 35-45 minutes and it arrived in 20 minutes. (The restaurant is 0.2 miles away, if that helps) When they arrived I received a call and they left my order in the lobby. I placed an order for the lunch set, which comes with a spring roll. I chose the pad thai with chicken and added on a Thai iced tea for $3. I don't know if the lunch size is smaller than their regular though. The drink doesn't have too strong of a tea flavor, it's rather subtle. The pad thai was a lot for one person to eat. I probably had 1/3 of it and was done. Chicken didn't feel like it was overdone and flavors weren't too strong either. Everything felt well balanced, but if you enjoy heavier flavors, this might not be for you. read more

In a word: disappointing. I had high hopes for this place because I love a restaurant with a special vegetarian menu and the option to make dishes vegetarian. The eggplant with tofu was flavored nicely, but it came with rice which didn't seem to make sense with the dish. I was most excited for the pad see ew, and I paid extra for vegetables and tofu, and it just wasn't good. Not much flavor, very little sauce, and carrots? It missed the marked. I had a hair appointment in the area and decided to stop by after for a quick lunch. Noods n' Chill had been on my list for a while and I noticed they had the Thai dry noodle with crab and pork which was one of my favorite dishes to eat when I stayed with my family as a child in Thailand. This is pretty much a self service type of establishment. The guy behind the register brought me my food outside and I dug in. I was immediately taken aback by the overwhelming sweetness of this dish when I took my first bite. Second bite, I noticed that the noodles were over cooked and mushy. I went inside to get red chili flakes to temper the sweetness. While it did help, this dish scarcely reminded me of the dish I loved and knew. J like the concept of this shop but restaurants like Pye Boat Noodle are better and cheaper so I won't be back. read more

I ordered their shrimp pad thai tonight for delivery, and while I was impressed by how quickly it arrived, the food itself was truly awful. It's hard to mess up noodles, but these were way too sweet, sticky, and salty and coated in a thick, unappealing paste. It was just a big mush of flavors that didn't complement each other at all. We decided to check out this Thai spot via DoorDash for takeout. Delivery took about 1 hour or so. We ordered the popcorn chicken bun, mock duck panang curry and chicken pad kee mao (spicy). The food was amazing - very authentic including the spice level. One suggestion for the chef, perhaps stir fry the chicken of the pad kee mao? The smoky/stir fry taste of the chicken would really take this dish to the next level. Please note "spicy" is really hot and you should not order if you cannot handle the heat. read more

Really enjoyed this place! We got our food immediately and really enjoyed it. You order at the counter or through a website and they bring the food out quite fast. You pick any table and there is cold water already at the table which was great. Once we were ready to go, there were to-go containers available. We grabbed one and headed out. Needed a quick meal after cleaning my new condo so walked over to noods and chill. This is a cute small restaurant near the Williamsburg Bridge pedestrian path entrance. They have all enclosed outside dining here and the service was very polite with a smile and efficient. I ordered my food to go and it was ready in 10minutes like the lady promised :) I got the pad thai with chicken. It was flavorful and had real peanuts mixed in. It was the perfect amount of food to fill me right up and leave me satisfied and it was seasoned to my liking. I will come back to try something more adventurous next time. Food breakdown: - som tum salad (papaya salad) 4.3/5: very fresh, decently spicy and good balance of flavors. Only downside was portion was slightly more on the smaller side for $9. -pad kee mao with mockduck 4.8/5: one of the best ones I've had in the city. So tasty, big portions, and great flavors. -chiang Mai khao soy with tofu 4.7/5: the textures and flavors are awesome. Crunchy noodles with coconut curry deliciousness. - iced Thai tea (5/5): on par with the ones in Thailand. I asked for half sweet, which was enough for me. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything.
