The line at High Lua was a bit too long and I was starving so I finally decided to check out this fluorescent restaurant with an evocative name that I've passed by countless times. I opted for the bamee, which appears to be a Thai version of ee-fun, with mock duck that I believe was seitan based. The noodles themselves had almost no flavor, and the sweet chili sauce had a strange pungence that made me regret mixing it into the bowl. The portions are pretty big here and food comes out fast and piping hot, in true thai fashion. I ordered the pad see ew which I wished had more soy sauce/oyster sauce. Great food, good for take out or a casual night out. This is definitely a take out spot as the seating is not actually indoors, but outdoor heated. The green curry looks different than your typical Thai place, but the taste was the same as elsewhere, except spicier than most other spots. My friend liked their pad see ew. For a quick dinner without all the frills but with all the authenticity of Thai cuisine, Noods n' Chill is worth the trip. Had to walk a ways from main hub in Williamsburg but the place was small, quaint and unassuming. Outdoor seating only. Order and pay at the cash register first. The food was delicious! Had a shrimp pad kee mao, a refreshing green papaya salad (which I think was the best gps I've ever had!) and roti with chicken curry (curry was a little too sweet for my taste- seems more a Malaysian dish than Thai). The price points weren't bad either. It was yoo hot a day to get a hot noodle soup but I think I'd like to try when the weather is a bit cooler. read more

This is truly an amazing Thai restaurant. I ordered the drunken noodles and really enjoyed it. However, listen to my recommendation and order the pad thai because was truly divine. Both meals were extremely flavorful and very tasty. The restaurant itself is nice and they have a spacious outdoor seating area. They get extra points for having hand sanitizer on each table for you to use so that you're not eating with yucky hands. I rate this spot a 5/5 read more

Outdoor seating was comfy and spacious. Let me set the scene. 4 friends, first meal of the day, and ready to overdo it. Here's how it went: Papaya Salad: tasty and fresh - We felt is was spiced for the less adventurous we asked for more spice on the side. Chicken wings: nicely fried, just want you hope for with the crunch and meatiness. Green curry noodles: this one we couldn't quite get into. Curry was flat in flavor, and noodles were over cooked and bloated. Disappointed because we got two of these and left them both behind. Pad See Ew: had this one with mock duck. The combination of flavors here : char, sweet, spicy, tangy. Definitely recommend this dish - one of the faves from our selections. Pad Kra Pow: not too tasty. Chicken was dry and string beans did not taste freshly cooked. We had a few other small plates they were fine nothing to brag about + Thai ice tea. They stole my heart here I looooooveeeee Thai food and saw this driving to the waterfront. So we circled back and luckily waited and found a parking across the street. The neighborhood looks difficult to park. The lady at the front greeted me and informed me to order online so we ordered through Uber eats, picked up and was seated at their mini indoor section by the window. They had outdoor seating but it was full. The aesthetic in there reminded me of Thailand for a sec. So for food, bae ordered the Crispy Pork Rinds, Chicken and Shrimp Pineapple Friend Rice - the rice was sooooooo flavorful, loved the hint of cilantro on top, ask for the sweet chili sauce and chili oil if you're into spice, thank me later i ordered their popular Popcorn Chicken and it was sooooooo good; had bok choy and tasty sauce. Solid Thai spot in the neighborhood but I'm not sure I'd be excited to revisit. We ordered pad kee mao, crab fried rice, and the chicken bao. Noodles and chicken bao were solid but the fried rice barely included any crab. I was looking forward to this dish since I had it at Uncle Boons. Glad we added the popcorn chicken to the fried rice. The place was also incredibly tiny, so we were standing inside waiting for 30-40 mins. I'll check this place out again maybe on a week day - but I wouldn't recommend it for a group dinner on a weekend. read more

A little overhyped for the quality of food. Raw chicken sitting out in the kitchen in a bag. The dumplings were pretty good. Still not worth travel from Manhattan. Counter help was friendly! Wish I could say something better, but that would be over hyping. So the owner responded to my review politely and positively. She is committed to continual improvement. Placed an order for delivery earlier today at around noon and a minute later, they were making my order. Delivery time was estimated to be 35-45 minutes and it arrived in 20 minutes. (The restaurant is 0.2 miles away, if that helps) When they arrived I received a call and they left my order in the lobby. I placed an order for the lunch set, which comes with a spring roll. I chose the pad thai with chicken and added on a Thai iced tea for $3. I don't know if the lunch size is smaller than their regular though. The drink doesn't have too strong of a tea flavor, it's rather subtle. The pad thai was a lot for one person to eat. I probably had 1/3 of it and was done. Chicken didn't feel like it was overdone and flavors weren't too strong either. Everything felt well balanced, but if you enjoy heavier flavors, this might not be for you. read more

I ordered their shrimp pad thai tonight for delivery, and while I was impressed by how quickly it arrived, the food itself was truly awful. It's hard to mess up noodles, but these were way too sweet, sticky, and salty and coated in a thick, unappealing paste. It was just a big mush of flavors that didn't complement each other at all. In a word: disappointing. I had high hopes for this place because I love a restaurant with a special vegetarian menu and the option to make dishes vegetarian. The eggplant with tofu was flavored nicely, but it came with rice which didn't seem to make sense with the dish. I was most excited for the pad see ew, and I paid extra for vegetables and tofu, and it just wasn't good. Not much flavor, very little sauce, and carrots? It missed the marked. I had a hair appointment in the area and decided to stop by after for a quick lunch. Noods n' Chill had been on my list for a while and I noticed they had the Thai dry noodle with crab and pork which was one of my favorite dishes to eat when I stayed with my family as a child in Thailand. This is pretty much a self service type of establishment. The guy behind the register brought me my food outside and I dug in. I was immediately taken aback by the overwhelming sweetness of this dish when I took my first bite. Second bite, I noticed that the noodles were over cooked and mushy. I went inside to get red chili flakes to temper the sweetness. While it did help, this dish scarcely reminded me of the dish I loved and knew. J like the concept of this shop but restaurants like Pye Boat Noodle are better and cheaper so I won't be back. read more

The food was amazing - very authentic including the spice level. One suggestion for the chef, perhaps stir fry the chicken of the pad kee mao? The smoky/stir fry taste of the chicken would really take this dish to the next level. Please note "spicy" is really hot and you should not order if you cannot handle the heat. read more

Needed a quick meal after cleaning my new condo so walked over to noods and chill. This is a cute small restaurant near the Williamsburg Bridge pedestrian path entrance. They have all enclosed outside dining here and the service was very polite with a smile and efficient. I ordered my food to go and it was ready in 10minutes like the lady promised :) I got the pad thai with chicken. It was flavorful and had real peanuts mixed in. It was the perfect amount of food to fill me right up and leave me satisfied and it was seasoned to my liking. I will come back to try something more adventurous next time. Food breakdown: - som tum salad (papaya salad) 4.3/5: very fresh, decently spicy and good balance of flavors. Only downside was portion was slightly more on the smaller side for $9. -pad kee mao with mockduck 4.8/5: one of the best ones I've had in the city. So tasty, big portions, and great flavors. -chiang Mai khao soy with tofu 4.7/5: the textures and flavors are awesome. Crunchy noodles with coconut curry deliciousness. - iced Thai tea (5/5): on par with the ones in Thailand. I asked for half sweet, which was enough for me. this place deserves 5 stars because i felt that you really get beyond what you pay for. so affordable for large quantities of quality flavors and spices. tried the curry puffs, the fried fish cakes, pad see ew and green curry. pad see ew stole the show. amazing flavor, great texture of noodles. must keep in mind this place is VERY spicy! then i think the fish cakes were in second place. the curry puff was like an empanada and a samosa had a baby so didn't feel that it was particularly worth getting. thai green curry was also really delicious. perfect amount of sweetness to it. limited seating but honestly a cute vibe nonethless. read more
