    Traditional Banh Mi

I got the traditional banh mi which has Vietnamese ham, liver pate, and roasted ground pork for $11.50. It was decent - the bread was toasty and delicious. The meats and pate were flavorful. However, the pickled vegetables weren't pickled as strong as I'd like. Maybe it's cause I came 15 minutes before the store closed? But I'm glad I was still able to grab a bite! There's plenty of seating inside and is spacious and clean. The service was quick.

My husband and I stopped by this place for a bite to eat yesterday afternoon. I was excited to try another Vietnamese place that served banhmi sandwiches. We ordered 1 grilled chicken banhmi and dined in. The restaurant was quaint and cute. I loved the neon sign inside the restaurant. I liked the sandwich and the price was reasonable.

The beef short rib banh mi was good. The bread was amazing and I liked the plethora of veggies. However some pieces of the beef were fatty and I wish the sauce had more flavor rather than what I feel was just mayo? But the restaurant was clean and empty when we ate there and the workers were nice. Overall, I'd go back and try some of their other dishes.

A new Vietnamese restaurant has joined the intersecting neighborhoods of Boerum Hill, Park Slope and Prospect Heights! So far I've tried the Traditional Banh Mi ($11.50) and Grilled Pork Banh Mi ($11.95). The price point sits in between that of Pho bar and 5ive Spice, and one thing that clearly stands out about Banhmi-Pro is the fact that they take card. Both times, the baguette was overtoasted, leading to extremely crunchy bread. As for the filling, there was good balance of meat and veggies. I particularly liked how the pickled carrots weren't too sour. Update: I ordered a beef short rib banh mi and this time the bread was perfectly cooked. I also took advantage of their site's buy 1 drink get bubble tea offer to get a matcha bubble milk tea. That was the "dirt"iest matcha drink I've ever had. It was poorly mixed, with some sips being more bitter than others. Despite asking for 50% sugar, I needed to add my own creamer and honey at home. Truly a disappointment.

Was in Brooklyn and ran into a banhmi place in the area. They seem to be new and the banhmi seems more modernized compared to the ones I grew up eating and I have to say, the beef rib banhmi is pretty unique take on a banhmi! I grew up in LA and I never had a variation like this. Price was a bit up there for a banhmi but the quality and taste is pretty solid. I would recommend the beef rib Banhmi due to the amazing taste of rib combined with traditional Banhmi seasoning! I love how these new businesses are trying new takes on tradition foods that I grew up with! They are new and local to Brooklyn so if you're a local, I totally recommend trying it out! Their service was fast and the ambiance was cute. Will come back and try other things on their menu!

The aunties are mentioned often in other reviews, and that's because they're amazing. They'll gladly explain what you need, especially when it comes to the super tasty (and extremely inexpensive) deserts that populate racks and the drink fridges here. Some are sweet, some are sour (the deserts, that is), they'll let you know. Honesty since a cake here is $5, you can afford to try everything! How on to the main reason that you came, the Banh Mi. You literally can't go wrong with any of the eight main sandwiches here. I've tried them all so you don't have to, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. The bread is crispy, the ingredients are super fresh, and the tastes combine perfectly. The decor is perfect for this kind of spot. No frills. There are three tables and a bunch of chairs. It's exactly what I want in a takeout type place. They concentrate on the food. So, to wrap this one up. Go. I'd say that I'll be back, but I've been coming here for years. If you haven't, it's time to start.

All four dishes were delicious, and I would highly recommend the spring rolls and beef pho. The beef pho broth had deep flavor, and the noodles had a great, chewy texture and were different from the typical pho noodles in Vietnamese restaurants. The pho is also served with their homemade sriracha and hoisin sauce. The beef slices in the pho were a bit dry and overcooked, but I would still recommend you try the pho here; it was delicious. The spring rolls were big and packed with filling. We really enjoyed them! The fish lettuce wrap platter and pork skewer platter were exactly the same with the exception of the protein. The platters come with rice paper wrappers that you dip into water for 30 seconds, lettuce, mint, basil, cilantro, pickled radish and carrot, and cucumbers. The platters were good but also seems like something you can easily make yourself at home. The fish was a bit dry and overcooked, but the pork skewers were well made. Although I really enjoyed the food here, it wasn't special enough for me to want to return to dine here. Service: Service was excellent, and staff were friendly. At 5pm, we were the first party of 2 to arrive, and soon after, three other parties came after us. I'm not sure why the hostess chose to seat all four parties in one small corner of the restaurant while the rest of the restaurant was completely empty. Tables were placed very closely together, and seating was a bit tight. It seemed odd to seat everyone in one corner even when the restaurant was clearly not filling up. Ambiance: The ambiance and decor is lovely here. Seating is very comfortable, and the place is beautiful. It's well-lit and has a nice outdoor garden feel with plenty of sunlight. The restaurant is pretty big with tables for both small and large groups. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant!

They weren't too busy then so I got seated pretty much immediately. As I entered Di An Di, I know that they pay attention to their decors a lot. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. I got the pho which I feel like it's a 3/5. The noodles were good, bouncy and chewy. Other than that, I feel like the price is too high to justify the meat and the broth. The broth and meat feels like I could get this elsewhere for $15 max but the price doubled here. I'm sure there are other dishes that are good, but this review is only for the pho.
