Roti massamun curry

This has been my go to Thai restaurant in the area for about two years. The lunch specials are always great and very filling. I've also tried some other items not on their lunch menu. The staff are always polite and friendly. They've recently updated their seating arrangements and

Came here for lunch and was absolutely blown away by the flavors and quality of the food. The menu had a fantastic variety of Thai dishes, and I couldn't resist trying a few different ones. The Tom Yum soup was delicious , bursting with the perfect balance of spicy and sour flavors. The Pad Thai was hands down the best I've ever had - the noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. But what truly stood out was their Pad See Ew. It was rich and packed with tender pieces of chicken and fresh vegetables. If you're a Thai food enthusiast, this is an absolute must-visit. I'll definitely be returning soon to explore more of their menu.

Mediocre experience- Ordered chicken Pad thai and the noodles were hot, but missing tofu pieces. The proportion was generous, but lacking in taste. The chicken satay was good, but they didn't have any grill marks. Were they steamed???

The staff was very friendly. The inside was very festive and cute, a bit small. I got the lunch special of pad seew with the chive pancake as well as thai iced coffee. I really enjoyed everything and would go back again.

Thai iced tea (3.5/5) - Personally wish it was a little creamier. It's sweet yet slightly bitter. Pineapple fried rice (4/5) - Very flavorful and aromatic. Just wish there were more pineapples! The lady behind the desk was very friendly! There's indoor and outdoor dining, but no bathrooms. There's also a $10 minimum for credit cards.

We came across this place by accident. My family just came for a visit from Thailand and they were surprised with this authentic taste! The food is excellent, absolutely finger lickin' good. The staffs were very nice and always smiling. If you're craving for some Thai food. This place is a go.

Deep Fried Chives /kui chai/ as part of the lunch special. Tasty with a fun texture.

This place is a newcomer to the rather big Thai food scene in the area (case in point the much larger Thai place across the street.) The place here by comparison is much tinier and they specialize more in street food. I went here have a pretty cheap lunch special and I ordered the Kao Gai Ka Tiam / . This comes with sliced chicken in garlic sauce over jasmine rice with a fried egg and sriracha for added flavor. The chicken portion for the special was generous and the rest of this was good also with the sriracha adding some pleasant spiciness once added. The lunch special also came with two other things; a choice of soup or salad and an appetizer. The soup was the common cabbage soup you find in a lot of little stalls which makes perfect sense judging by their other food. In terms of appetizers, I was choosing between the fried chives or the tofu pocket and the friendly cashier recommended the former. The deep fried Chinese chives or kui chai/ is something not common enough in most Thai places and it has a wonderful chewy texture and I'm happy they have it here. It was served with the usual soy dipping sauce which compliments it. If this place was older and more well known, I'd probably give it a low-mid 4 for the good lunch deal and friendly people but at they are new and they definitely deserve business, I'll bump it up. I look forward to trying more of the menu.

Lunch special: spicy pad kee mao chicken, chive dumplings, and herbal vegan soup. I am looking forward to going back to Huge Thai Street Cuisine in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, NY. 157 Court Street. Excellent food for the price. Two tables outside for open air dining, which we enjoyed today with our dog. Food came out in 10 minutes. Really nice staff.

Tofu pad Thai, Chive Pancake

Got their lunch special in a tofu pad Thai, salad, and chive pancakes. Definitely wish that my sit down meal was with actual dinnerware, but food was good overall. Pad Thai is nice and saucy - usually many pad Thai places are pretty try on sauce. The chive pancakes were gooey - but I wish there was a better sauce to pancake ratio. The salad dressing is really interesting but also refreshing - some kind of lemon or yuzu based dressing ~ but not really sure. Great place for takeout esp for their lunch special..

Despite the name, I'm convinced this place isn't just Thai, but also some sort of Asian fusion. I will do absolutely no research to back up this assertion, however. I will say that the Kao Nar Moo Dang Moo Krob (rolls right off the tongue) was like a combination of Chinese, Thai, and Filipino dishes. You had Chinese char-siu style pork, crispy fatty pork similar to Filipino lechon, with sausage, a hard boiled egg, and seasoned rice. It was like a tour of Asia! Plus amazing portion sizes. Also got the pad udon (like pad Thai, but with udon noodles). Never seen that before, but I really liked the variation! Got it with shrimp, and it came with a bunch of em. Also also got curry puffs because I'm a fat ass. Everything was super good. Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood!

Really enjoyed my food from here! Ordered pickup and it was ready really quickly. I got the chicken Thai fried rice (extra spicy), huge Shumai and fish cakes. The star of the meal was the fish cakes. A really generous portion, big pieces and really nicely spiced. The Shumai are pretty good, better than the average Thai place, but nothing necessarily special. They were pretty spot on with the spice for my fried rice and decently priced! Would def come here again!

I ordered the green curry with beef from the lunch menu. The curry is very watery but tasted really delicious. The beef with boiled texture and lots of peppers were in the sauce. It came with white rice and I loved it. The crispy tofu add on was good if you like tofu! The sweet peanut sauce went perfectly with the fluffy tofu. The beef pad see eww was one of the best I've ever had. From the texture of the noodles, to the sauce, to the veggies and beef. It's a must have here! Tom yum soup came in a huge tower and was perfect to share. We ever had some leftovers. Good amount of shrimp and veggies inside. Quick and attentive service! And the worker's little son helped her bring the check for fun. It was adorable

Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

First off the most delicious group of appetizers. I wished their potions size were more decent. It's pricey for what is offered. Since curries are my favorite I tired those entrees first. Love the masala and green. Like them so tried with different types of proteins. My only draw back to this place or gets too rowdy at times. Also the place is too small . Since we already knew we liked the prior restaurant and it was hard for us to get back to this location, we went with items that we usually don't order - Duck Pad Thai and Salmon Curry. Newsflash: Ugly Baby is back on its bullshit. Ugly Baby's…read moreconceit, if you can call it that, was that it was really, really spicy. Spicy food, in case you didn't know, connotes authenticity. Call it suffering for beauty, in a culinary wrapper. Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

I enjoyed the food and the event so much that I've returned and told others to go as well. What I like the most is that Chiangmai's expansive menu showcases aspects of Thai cuisine that you're probably not getting at your neighborhood spot. Many items are Northern Thai style dishes. I'd never had Khao Soi before coming here and I was blown away. The chiangmai sausage is also delicious. The roasted duck curry boasts deep flavor while also maintaining the crispiest duck skin. For appetizers, we started with the crispy salmon belly bites and the moo ping. Frying salmon is risky, but the fattiness of the belly keeps it from drying out. The moo ping is nicely grilled and served with a sweet sauce. You just can't go wrong ordering meat on a stick. As an entree, I tried the Gaeng Awm Nur, a soup-like beef dish served with a side of sticky rice. Our server had been really nice and welcoming, so I felt ok asking how I should eat my meal. She advised that I make a ball of some sticky rice with my hand, mash it a bit, and then dip it into the soup. Thai food achievement unlocked! Now I know what to do next time I'm served sticky rice. There's so much on the menu it can be hard to choose. This is encouragement to go with someone else who enjoys food so you can choose things to share! You won't be disappointed and in fact may find that your regular Thai spots could step up their game in comparison.
