PhoBar is decent. This is a cash only restaurant and tip will be included in your bill. Don't worry, they have a ATM inside. I visited on a rainy day and it helped warm up my insides. The service is alright. The Pho I ordered was okay.

Just remember these three words. Short. Rib. Pho. I give Phobar a warm welcome to Brooklyn as the pho here definitely warms my soul on a cold and rainy day. The short rib pho was excellent, served with bone and all. The rib meat was so soooo tender that i didn't need a knife to cut into it at all. It just melted away in the delicate pho broth and complemented the noodles perfectly. Also, I loved the complemented Vietnamese ice coffee made with coconut milk, which was a nice touch. Overall, the pho here was very solid for the area, and I will be returning if I need my pho fix and to try some of the other dishes.

Literally amazed!!! I ordered DoorDash from here for a weekday lunch. I tried the lemongrass chicken pho and had to get a Vietnamese iced coffee. Oh my god was I surprised. I wasn't expecting much, but this turned out to me one of the best meals I've had in NYC. The chicken is grilled to perfection and the broth is amazing. They even provided a pho spoon for takeout orders, which there is no better way of enjoying your meal! The iced coffee was also top 3 for me. It was strong but sweet and not overpowering. Did I want to order this again the next day? Yes. I wish they opened a little earlier so I can walk and grab a coffee before I type my life away but for now we wait until 11.

We came here for brunch on a rainy Sunday. We felt that a warm, savory broth of pho was weather-appropriate. We fell in love right away with the restaurant concept. Although there are regular tables, we opted to dine at the pho bar for the experience. We went straight down to business. My partner ordered classic beef pho, and I had the grilled pork chop pho with rice noodles served with cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, daikon, and Vietnamese chili sauce, topped with scallions and fried shallots. It was so hearty, well-portioned, and freshly prepared, perfect for rainy weather. With the good vibe, great price point, and friendly and attentive staff, this place is a must!

CASH ONLY!!!! I ordered the lunch special, which includes an appetizer, a small entrée, and a drink. I chose noodles, but it didn't pair well with the brisket. Rice or a salad would have been a better choice.

My second time here, and every bite was as delicious as my first time. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee and Thai milk tea for drinks. These drinks had the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. Spring rolls were crispy and bursting with flavor. We also had oxtail pho and short rib vermicelli. The oxtail was very soft and pho was great. Short ribs still fell off the bone, but definitely felt much lighter than having the pho version. Service was great as always. Staff was very attentive. Please note this is a cash only establishment, but prices were very reasonable.

This place is AMAZING. Literally the best banh mi I've ever had. It's cash only but I would go back a million times if Iived near it. They do have an ATM in the back.

Very cute interior with different seating options available. If you're lucky you can get one of the booths. Otherwise there's counter seating that surrounds the bar in the middle of the restaurant or one of larger communal tables. Each seating area has chopsticks, poison sauce, and sriracha there. Service is on point; not coming by too much but often enough you're taken care of. My boyfriend and I were super hungry that day, and we had the bok choy and fried spring rolls as apps. They both tasted great. (Although I may have felt a bit guilty paying $8 for that small portion of bok choy... no regrets!) I ordered the spicy short rib pho. The short rib really falls off the bone and is delicious meat. There were also sooo many noodles in my soup! My boyfriend got the combo - classic beef pho and classic pork banh mi. Both were good and a great deal of $16 when you're feeling indecisive, although it wasn't amazing beef pho nor amazing banh mi. Still great meal though, and I'd go back!

Phobar seems to be a pretty popular local spot, and I can see why. They are a cash only establishment, but if you did happen to forget to bring any, they do have an ATM (not sure how much the fee is). For my drink, I got the passion fruit soda which was very tasty. My meal was the crispy catfish banh mi. Perfectly hit the spot. I did ask for mine to be spicy and it sure was - I'll probably ask for something milder next time, haha. Wish they gave a few more shrimp chips though, those are always so yummy. Really cute restaurant (their Halloween décor right now is amazing). Totally worth the visit!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet. I been here a countless amount of times since October '24. The truth is in the broth okay?! I'll be back with another review because I'll be back at pho bar lol Let me tell you, the best soup for hangover, sickness, or when your stomach just needs a hug. They have great drink options, my favorite is the passion fruit soda. It's been a bit busy for the past few months but spoke with a worker the other day and you have to come at less busy times. We were seated around 4, IMMEDIATELY. Lunch had just finished and it was empty. Plus we finally got our booth seat lol. It gets so busy that you could wait for a few hours, we never had to, maybe 45 min with 2 ppl but if you request a booth, expect longer wait times. I enjoyed being here during the slow time, it was more relaxed and the workers seem more chill too. We'll be back, no matter the weather!

Sat at the bar with her friends on a cold Tuesday evening. It was still pretty busy which I was impressed with. As everyone is well aware this is cash only. We tried the chili wonton special appetizer and then we each did the half pho half bahn mi (both beef) classic. It was nice to sample both, the pho was good, as expected, nothing spectacular but solid. Bahn mi had good flavor

I usually prefer ramen to pho, but this place could change my mind. The Spicy Short Rib Pho was PHOnomenal! 10/10 I loved the flavor of the broth, and the meat fell right off that bone. The noodles were so good I wanted another serving. The spring rolls were fine. It's first come seating so make sure to get there earlier than your appetite and bring cash.

Order: - Beef Pho (3/5) - Combo Chicken Pho and Chicken Bahn Mi (4/5) Pho: - Fun restaurant aesthetic - Nice and quick service Cons: - We came for the beef rib pho, which they did not have. Then we tried ordering a brisket fries and they didn't have that either. Either we came on a bad day, or there menu is pretty limited - Pho was oil and the beef was a weird gray color - While they provide lime and jalapeño on the side, they didn't give bean sprouts Overall: I was pretty disappointed they didn't have the one dish I came to try (and seemingly a pretty popular item they have been trending for). I was hoping that my meal would be good enough for me to warrant another visit in hopes to try the beef rib pho, but the meal was pretty mediocre.

There's a couple of tables in a small store. Above the register there's a menu board resembling a train departures board, cycling through the options (it looks neat, but the printed out menu on your right is a lot more practical). There's a cooler with drinks and salads as you enter on the right. The sandwiches, however, are something special. On my first visit I went with something familiar, the Mean Streets (their Italian sandwich). The bread itself is fantastic (locally baked), and the toppings delicious as well (if I recall correctly the dressings are house made). Pleasantly, they also give you a paper plate with your order, which is a nice touch compared to eating off a wrapper. I enjoyed the first sandwich so much I came back the next day to try the No Sleep Til Gravesend. The sandwich is essentially a hot roast beef sandwich, with a jus on the sandwich reminiscent of a French Dip. Perfect on a cold, rainy day. Overall, 1 of 1 has great (and mostly house made) ingredients and great execution. There's a level of creativity on the menu that you rarely see elsewhere in the city. 1 of 1 is among the best sandwich shops in the city, and a very welcome addition to the area.

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Expensive though, about $55 dollars for a vegan 18-inch Margherita pie with 3 toppings. Was it worth it for the experience? Yes. Would I recommend to someone who wanted to try it at least once for a good dairy-free pizza? Absolutely, I couldn't even tell this was vegan cheese. Would I get it again? Maybe (?) once in a while as a treat with price being the only barrier. Service 5/5: This was great. I came here the other day to inquire about their vegan pizza and just wanted to try a slice. The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.
