Haven't come here in so many years. Came on. saturday party of 4 wound 5 pm pretty busy was offered outside seating but we decided to wait no problem we weren't in a rush. Sat in a pretty big round table near the bathroom. I feel the menu changed since last time or maybe I don't remember. But we used to get the fresh mozzarella with basil , tomatoes and glaze and I count find it or maybe it was worded differently nonetheless we ordered calamari. My family said they were ok. Me and my husband ordered the lasagna it took so long to come but again we understood it was busy. It was worth the wait so delicious. The girls had a pizza they absolutely loved it. I had pinot grigio nice cold and refreshing. My husband first got a stella on draft then got a old fashioned he said it was the best he's ever had so that says something. I was in the mood for pasta but I didn't see anything on the menu with something like broccoli and garlic with olive oil. Was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered 2 pizzas: the napoletana, which was good, and the ricotta bianca, which was delicious and garlicky, yet a little oversalted. The crust was excellent and chewy. Service was courteous. Clean bathroom. read more

I love this local spot -- the service is fantastic and the staff are all really friendly. The pizza at La Villa is so good I haven't really ordered anything else yet, even though I keep meaning to. The pizza is definitely deep dish and I love their square pies! My favorites are the Margherita and Zucchini (white sauce). You can buy individual slices as well. La Villa is such a great local gem and definitely worth a stop in! read more

Sad to see what looks like a slow decline at this restaurant. Inconsistent service, arrived at restaurant with family with very few tables filled. However, Service was slow and became slower as restaurant started getting busy. Before you know it 2 other tables being served pies before our small pie ordered. Entres were okay. Food is 5 stars. Service is zero. Our server seemed to be bothered from the very beginning and became plain rude by the end. I'm not the one to ask for the manager but as we walked out we did. I dined at La Villa occasionally years ago and always enjoyed their pasta, pizza and main selections. La Villa continues to thrive in Park Slope and I recently placed a delivery order for a small pizza. We learned the diameter of the pizza was 14" and good for sharing (6 slices). We selected the Marinara style with sauce, garlic and Parm cheese but sans Mozzarella. It was delivered on one of the coldest winter nights so far and insulation of arriving warm/hot was questionable. A quick phone call confirmed it's well packed and insulated. However when it arrived, it was cold ish. Arctic weather to blame. A brief heating in the oven revived the pizza and we agreed it was pretty good. I'd say 3.5 stars in reality but service was prompt. Note: the small pie might not satisfy if very hungry. In that case, go for the larger sizes. Satisfied customer. read more

I'd rate La Villa the and a half. Shared a salad with lettuce, small balls of mozzarella, walnuts, and beets in a balsamic dressing. Salad was well dressed. Liked all of the ingredients except the beets. Service was attentive and food came out fairly quickly. Atmosphere was very casual. Two single occupancy restrooms. The food was good and the portions were very big. The reason I am not sure if I would recommend this place is because they seem to nickel and dime on a few things. Fountain soda is 4.75 a glass and there are no refills. Also, I ordered a $22 salad and it came with one little cup of dressing. When I asked for that cup, it was brought immediately and there was no discussion that there would be an additional charge. I didn't check my bill till the next day and saw that there was a 2.75 charge for another very small cup of dressing. One of the main dishes we ordered was lasagna and the cost was $22. The portion was big and the price was reasonable. I would've preferred if the lasagna was $30 and there was no charge for one additional dressing. read more

I ordered delivery of veal parm from La Villa via Seamless. The food arrived about 30 minutes after I ordered it. The veal was tender, the spaghetti properly cooked, and the tomato sauce slightly sweet and quite delicious. Stepped in during a dinner rush, but luckily we were able to get seated. They provided focaccia as we were perusing through the menu. The focaccia was pretty bland, but it was a plus that it wasn't just plain bread. There were even two types: an herbed one and an onion one. There was an article about the Romana pizza posted at the front, so we decided on that. It was almost like a calzone but without sauce. It was hearty and satisfying. The potatoes had an almost creamy texture after being baked in olive oil. There was an ample amount of cheese that oozed out of each cut slice. The pepperoni and sausage provided the saltiness to the pizza. The crust was perfectly charred on the bottom. However, it is a bit tough to cut through the slices with their knives. We were worried that it wouldn't be enough, so we got an penne alla vodka pasta as well. The pasta was okay. Very much cheesy and smothered in sauce, but nothing too special. The portions are huge. One regular sized pizza can satisfy two people. Therefore, you also won't be spending over $30 per person on food. If you decide to just get pizza, you might be able to spend less than $20 per person. We didn't end up getting dessert because we were so stuffed. I ended up having leftovers for about 2 meals. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood, La Villa is a prefect place to satisfy your hunger. read more

The woman working the front counter during my visit was very rude and dismissive, and it took away from the joy of being there. We order takeout routinely from the Bensonhurst restaurant on 86th Street. All of the food is of high quality, prepared fresh and portions are large. Several varieties of Pizzas are available and all are excellent and worth trying. Slices are available in addition to the whole pies. Staff personnel are all excellent and friendly. All of the delivery drivers are excellent, too, and ensure that everything is delivered hot and fresh. We have eaten in the restaurant.as well, and the ambiance is good . It is well lit with a friendly atmosphere. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. This place is definitely worth trying, r era other by eating in the restaurant or using takeout. read more

However, I will not be coming to this establishment again due to the rudeness when I came to pick up a too good to go bag. I was never treated like a second class citizen while dining here in person, but the staff's attitude was horrible when I picked up a tgtg bag. Solid Italian food in the neighborhood. Is it the best? No but the food is good if you are craving Italian food. We decided to go out for dinner last minute and they were not too busy on a Saturday evening. They have a pretty big menu so it's great for families especially if you have kids and not everyone wants pasta or pizza. They offer complimentary focaccia bread which was very good compared to regular bread that other places give. We ordered fried calamari, a sausage pizza, chicken parm, veal parm and an oven roasted branzino (fish). Everything we ordered was good except the branzino. I don't know why I expected a whole fish versus filets which means it's frozen. But the fish was bland and it was on top of cooked lettuce? It just didn't taste right. Overall, food is good but I was a little disappointed they didn't bother to check vaccine cards which is the current mandate in NYC. read more

This place was super crowded when we went. We came with our friends from Philly. We shared calamari and a large pizza. The calamari was really good. The pizza was also decent, although there was something off about the crust. The crust was not crispy, and it just sort of went blah in your mouth. I'm sure it's not how it always is, maybe it was an off night. I should've gotten the pasta but everybody else wanted pizza so that's what we went with. It also wasn't super expensive so that's a plus. Service is quick, very New York style, just to the point. This is a place I would try again. read more

This restaurant is a lifesaver. I went to eat and originally wanted to go to blueprint but it was a 30-minute wait. So we walked across the street and found la Villa. This place looks like it used to be a pizza store that they changed into a classy restaurant. But it does not feel like you have to be wearing a suit and tie to eat there. It was very bright light colors on the walls it was very relaxing. Our waiter was very prompt and took care of us and offered us a drink right off the menu we got to sample it before we got the wine. Despite being a Saturday the restaurant was not too crowded and felt like I had space and privacy. It was a little loud because of the music they play and people talking. We got started with some bread and olive oil which is always delicious and our appetizers also came delicious. Had mozzarella sticks which were cooked well and left a delicious taste in my mouth. For an entree I had the chicken parm with pasta which was delicious very well cooked not burnt. The outside was crispy without being hard and the chicken on the inside was juicy and flavorful well cooked. I was giving a large portion so I did have some food left over to take on me tomorrow, which I was not mad about. I felt that the price here were on par with other restaurants in the area charge for food, it's not somewhere I would go and spend money every week but every once in awhile I can see doing that. Finally was able to get a table on a busy friday night. The focaccia bread was a little on the matzoh side of texture that I'm used to for focaccias. The eggplant involtini is like a more detailed version of the eggplant parm and it works. The pizza was really disappointing. The whole thing was sopping wet and seemed like it had been steaming from the underside. The toppings just slid off and needed much assistance to get onto our plates. I have been going to La Villa since it first opened and it's always been a dependable place. Always a bit pricey for a pizza restaurant but good regardless. However, enough is enough! I ordered two meatball parm heroes and was told it would be $47. What?! $47 for two sandwiches! I cancelled the order and walked to an Italian sandwich shop on 7th Ave. The sandwiches were huge and were made on fresh made bread with fresh mozzarella. I got one meatball and one chicken parm, the tab was $22 and the sandwiches were great. There is always competition and La Villa will eventually price themselves out of business. read more

Used to be one of the best wood fired oven pizza's. Ordered from there last night- They must have changed something , it was on-par with Dominoes or any run of the mill pizza joint. I don't know if this change came with them becoming a franchise? the pizza dough was sweet like they decided to ass sugar to it, it never used to be sweet. The pizza dough was thicker- used to be thinner. They used to cook the pies well done so you'd get some burnt parts of the crust that where heavenly.
