Beautiful restaurant with excellent service and great food - highly recommend! We stopped in for lunch and fell in love with the beautifully elegant and warm and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. The restaurant has a really beautiful calming vibe and atmosphere to it that we really enjoyed and the service here was fantastic - five stars - our server took great care of us. We ordered two glasses of white wine which went perfectly with the branzino and lemon tagliatelle that we ordered for lunch. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and great portion sizes. We really enjoyed our meals. We also ordered some meatballs as well to share and those were really good as well - highly recommend. Overall everything was fantastic, we will definitely stop by again on our next trip to New York!
The restaurant is beautiful! Nice and open, perfect to sit for nice weather but it does feel a little tight, especially at the bar. Almost like each table is crammed together. I thought the food was okay, nothing too exciting. I didn't even enjoy the glass of Rośe I had. If I had to pick, I'd choose the pasta over the pizza for sure. Complimentary bread was nice and hot which is always a bonus. All in all, I don't think I'd come back, sadly.

The table was a bit small and quite close to the other tables but it can't really be helped in NY. The service also felt a little rushed, which was understandable during the holiday season. We ended up ordering their special of the night (a creamy pasta with truffle) and the ribeye to share. Both were extremely delicious and my mouth is watering thinking of it still. I really want to come back and enjoy this again the next time I'm in NY, or perhaps see what other menu items would be appealing. But maybe being seated next to the wall next time would be nicer.

I do want to note, the tables are pretty close together, like almost too close that it feels like you can hear everyone's conversations. The food was pretty good! The portion sizes were a bit on the smaller end for the price, but the flavor was a 10/10! I would definitely re visit if I am in the area

Mixed bag of food and experience but rounding up to 4 overall. Service was very spotty. Hard to get our server's attention and he wasn't around much. He was clearly hustling but seems like they needed more staff. For our appetizers we had the roasted eggplant which was okay and the Vitello tonnato which is one the worst things I've ever eaten in my whole life. I am not trying to be dramatic. The taste and texture and presentation was all terrible. It was cold like deli meat which was deceptive based on the menu description and had the oddest sweet and sour and salty taste We couldn't eat it (which never happens). Our waiter felt bad and comped it, which was unnecessary (maybe we just chose the wrong thing?) but appreciated. However my truffle gnocchi and the olive oil cake were outstanding! Not sure I will be back but if you go just skip the Vitello tonnato.
A fairly popular Italian place that is known for their spaghetti alla carbonara, this is their original location - Greenwich Village. Reservations are recommended as there are a lot of open bar seats for walk-ins, and they were not too hard to get if you book at least a few days out. We got 2 pastas which was a decent amount of food - spaghetti alla carbonara and ravioli di short ribs al ragu. The carbonara was so good especially when we mixed the egg yolk. We practically used our forks to consume as much of the sauce off the plate as we could when we were done with the dish. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente and finally a place that uses guanciale for carbonara instead of ham or bacon. The ravioli was good with a decent amount of short ribs inside and ground beef outside. I liked the carbonara more. Both pastas totaled $60 before tax and tip which is a little pricy due to the smaller portions, but the sauce is fairly heavy so you will be satisfied. We might have had room for dessert but we wanted to branch out to try more restaurants during my weekend visit in NYC. Service was decent as they gave a large water bottle for us to pour (tap water, free) but didn't really get more until the very end when we pay the bill. Even then, they only poured a quarter cup for each of us which felt a bit stingy
I think the food was in general pretty good, but the prices are a little extravagant. We got the octopus (POLPO IN CASSETTA, Boiled red octopus, dried tomato pesto, capers, preserved lemon, cucumber, chive oil) and it was not what we expected. It was very thin slices of octopus, basically see through slices. There was barely any food on the plate. That was a miss. The Beef Rib -eye had decent flavor, but so overpriced for one third of it being inedible fat. Sphaghetti carbonara was great, can't knock the specialty. It is very rich, so if you can share, that's recommended. Pizza was great flavor and soft, but pretty small for $25. Great food, but too $$$, probably won't return.

The crust had a very similar taste to the pizza we ate in Italy. The prosciutto was pretty high quality and complimented the cheese and arugula perfectly. The service was good. We didn't have a reservation but the had a table that wasn't reserved until 1:45 and they got us served and finished up by 1:15 so in about an hour total. The server was friendly and helpful in recommendations. The restaurant is very cozy feeling due to how small it is inside. But they held our bags up front for us which was nice.

Visited this place as recommended by a friend, walked in without reservation and seated in 5 minutes. I ordered Spaghetti alla carbonara and was impressed with taste and plate presentation, one of the best pasta I've ever had. Our server is not too enthusiastic in suggesting items from the menu and wasn't that interested with food allergies but managed to served our food with perfection. Restroom is tidy and fragrant. I surely recommend to Yelpers if you visit New York. read more

The only reason why I'm not giving this Restaurant five stars is because our server was a bit absent. They were rather busy and we were eating our early lunch at 3:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon, but maybe he was overwhelmed with all his tables? The replacement server once our server went on break was also the hostess, and she seemed to be in the front more than anything else. By the time we left the restaurant at 5:15 PM we had to ask the table busier for the check because we couldn't find her. Other than that, the bottle of Pinot Grigio, we ordered was the perfect pairing the table with all our combos of dishes. We see they had a table for 10, but only because my husband wanted to order a lot of dishes so we could all share family style. Lol it was perfect! We had enough room for the five of us at the table and we weren't crowded with our numerous amount of dishes! Hee I really like the ambience and although I've never been to Italy, it seems like a very homie Italian style restaurant. I forgot to take a picture of the spaghetti with a vodka marinara sauce. That was also delicious! Everything had good flavor and each sauce tasted different! I've never had a time like this before! I'm sure no Italian place on the West Coast to make their dishes, taste like this! We tried three different desserts, the tiramisu, some sort of vanilla cake that had a raspberry glaze in the calzone. The calzone was delicious because the bread was sourdough, but a bit too chocolatey for my liking.. I like fruit for dessert so chocolate isn't my thing. Jose was our server tonight. He was friendly, timely, and gave us great service. We had the carbonara and lemon burrata pasta. Both pastas delivered a different satisfaction to your palette. One of was rich and creamy but not too heavy. The other one gave a bright but also creamy taste. We ended the night with a DELISH tiramisu. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy the rest of the menu. read more

Christmas Day Dinner at Olio e Più This year, I decided to do something a little different and go out to dinner on Christmas Day. We ended up at Olio e Più and were very happy with the decision. For starters, we ordered the Olio Caesar, Hamachi crudo, and the bruschetta. The Hamachi crudo was good I'd give it about a 7/10. The Olio Caesar and bruschetta definitely stood out. The combination of bruschetta with burrata and ricotta was rich, fattening, but very good. For our entrées, we ordered three pasta dishes: their popular Spaghetti alla Carbonara (a must try), the Fettuccine Tartufo (a special not on the regular menu), and a seafood pasta. Everything was great, but the fettuccine with black truffles was my favorite. I would definitely go back the service was good, the food was great, and the vibe was exactly what we wanted for a holiday dinner. read more

We really enjoyed our pastas here! Octopus and eggplant starters were good but not super memorable. Eggplant was cold which we didn't really expect. Service was great! There are seating options inside or out, and the store itself is beautifully designed. It's also conveniently right outside of a PATH train. At the time of writing this, they are also partnered with inKIND, so I was able to get $25 off my order. - Spaghetti alla Carbonara (4.8/5): it's viral for a reason! The egg yolk is a perfect addition to the already creamy and al dente pasta. The only issue I had with it was how heavy it was. Suuuper creamy and slightly salty from the bacon. Lovely! - Paparadelle Agnello e Verdure (5/5): excellent pasta! The lamb was so tender and the sauce was not too heavy. i'm sad about my last two visits here. maybe i just ordered incorrectly but i remember going a couple years ago and it was sooo much better. the pizza is awesome. the chicken was cold and we had to send it back. when it came back out it was just warm (not hot) and wasn't tasty although the presentation is very nice. server was nice but couldn't do much for us. also - they don't serve alcohol outside currently. waiting on outdoor liquor license read more
Such a cute and quaint spot in my favorite part of the city-next door to a floral shop, at the intersection of people watching, and steps away from the Jefferson Market Garden. Would highly recommend making reservations ahead of time because even though there were empty seats when we stopped by, majority if not all are for people who have booked ahead-no surprise as an aesthetically pleasing establishment like this would be booked 7 days a week out. I imagine during the summer, outdoor dining is more enjoyable, but would recommend Fall and onwards into the Winter to try to book the "Standard" aka indoor seating because the heat lamps can only do so much justice before the cold wind really takes over and the dining experience feels uncomfortable. We ordered- Polpo in Cassetta Tagliatelle di Bosco Salmone Croccante alla Mediterranea I think they're more well known for their pasta/pizza however thankfully they have something for everyone outside of those. Service was very attentive even though it was a weekend, and I'd come back to try their other pasta dishes, but preferably in a more warm, bearable temperature. read more

Great little Italian spot!! My friends and I passed by, looking for a cute outdoor dining spot. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily were able to snag some outdoor seating on the sidewalk. I guess they don't have a permit for serving alcohol on their outdoor seating so that was a bit disappointing that we couldn't order any drinks outside. The restaurant inside is very cute and they open all the doors and windows so even if you sit inside, you can enjoy nice weather. Our waitress was very bubbly and sweet, but the service itself was a bit of a slower dining experience. They are known for their carbonara and for a good reason!! It was unbelievably delicious. Would return again for that dish alone!! My friend got a pizza and salmon and said they really enjoyed their food as well. The Caesar salad was average. read more
Had lunch at Olio e Più in the West Village and it was such a great experience. The gets pretty busy on the weekend, and it's pretty packed but really cute. Love how there's lots of greenery and it feels lively without being overwhelming. Service was friendly and the staff was helpful. The food was solid and portions were generous. The pasta was fresh and cooked well, and the flavors were rich without being too heavy. The pizza had a nice char and a good crust. The food came out pretty quickly as well. Overall, great atmosphere, good food, and attentive service. It is a popular spot so it can get busy, but it is a really nice choice for a casual date night or a cozy dinner with friends. read more

I came here for an early dinner. We had a reservation and were seated outside. Not sure if indoor seating requires a special booking. They have heat lamps that reach the tables directly adjacent to the restaurant, but no outdoor enclosure otherwise. They provided bread with olive oil and olives for the table. The bread was crusty and tasty. For my main, I ordered the tagliatelle di bosco. I asked to add truffles, which they did for a $30 charge. A little steep, but it was a special occasion, so I splurged. The pasta was fresh and filling. The noodles were al dente and the sauce was a light, but hearty tomato sauce. The mushrooms were perfectly tender. My husband enjoyed the fusilli del cacciatore. To drink, I had the pinamenta mocktail. I loved the citrusy, tangy flavor. My husband's Olio's old fashioned was very strong. For dessert, we had the olive oil cake. It was topped with a thick, very lemony frosting. The cake however was pretty dry and unremarkable. We were celebrating a birthday so they also brought out a complimentary scoop of raspberry sorbet with a candle. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer, but they forgot to bring it. I will recommend this place to anyone who goes to NYC. They are truly one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. Always excellent service, always authentic, and always good. My favorite thing to get here is their butternut squash ravioli when they have it, but that is normally in the winter months. The carbonara is still so good though (don't let the egg turn you away!) Spinach salad is good, tiramisu is also the best I have had... you truly cannot go wrong with anything on this menu. Their main location is in Greenwich, but I saw that they recently opened up another location in Bryant Park, so I am excited to try that one out. The Greenwich location is very beautiful though, with outdoor and indoor seating. Know that the inside seating is very packed inside, but I love it! Please go to Olio e Piu! read more

Good, not great. Food was decent. Octopus and arancini appetizers were good. The carbonara was great, but the other pasta dish, the lamb ragu, was terrible. Dessert was good. The apps were brought out right away, while the entries took half an hour. Service was OK. read more
I wish I knew how to pronounce the name of this place - but I don't, lol. We came here on a rainy day after seeing all the great reviews (and because we love fresh pasta - it's our weakness). Anytime we find a place that makes it, we have to try it. We came on a weekday around noon and were seated right away. The vibe is like being inside a greenhouse - lots of windows, cozy, and really picturesque. Service was great from the start. They greeted us right away, asked what kind of water we wanted, and brought out fresh bread and olives. The olives, bread, and olive oil were all delicious - just note that the olives are still pitted. We ordered the short rib ravioli and the carbonara. Both were amazing, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with the carbonara. Our server mentioned it's one of their best sellers, and I get why. It was rich and flavorful but not too heavy or salty. The pasta was spaghetti and cooked perfectly. The short rib ravioli was lighter than I expected, with a red sauce that complemented it nicely instead of overpowering it. I think I died and came back again. I went during NYFW and they were packed. My friend who is a visting from out of town choose this restaurant and somehow we lucked out with a table within 10 minutes. 10/10 experience. Jose, our server, went above and beyond to help celebrate my friend birthday. Jose recommend the best off menu dishes. Reallly enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe. The best I've had in the city. Went here for a work lunch and immediately loved the vibe of this place - especially in nice weather when they have all the windows open! It's so fresh and light inside with plants everywhere, felt like I was eating lunch in a greenhouse in Italy. Service was super attentive as well. As for food, we loved the calamari appetizer. The sauce on the side was delicious and it was cool it came with fried shrimp. The Caesar salad was gorgeoussss, the right amount of dressing to ingredient ratio. The carbonara and chicken piccata were highlights for the entrees. That carbonara was some of the best I've had in a while. For drinks, their espresso martini is made with rum which I've never seen before, but it was actually pretty good! Who would've thought. As you can imagine their regular espressos and cappuccinos were high quality and tasty as well. Overall some very solid Italian food on Greenwich Ave!
